Great pizza! SOoooo glad I stopped in!! The very nice young woman at the counter heated the combo slice & removed the onions (I said beforehand I didn't care for & would remove myself). The flavors & crust were EXCELLENT!!! Later, her & the male cook had a disagreement that was intensifying. I interrupted it & told him his words & volume towards her were inappropriate. She left a short time later. He apologized to me for the behavior & stated they're longtime friends & argue like siblings. The owner can look into this later 😉 I will come back again for the pizza 🍕🍕🍕

I thought about not reviewing for fear of the world finding out about this gem. Beautiful by the slice pies, wonderfully made and reheated quickly to enjoy. Crispy, flaky crust with a nice tomato sauce and of course I recommend any of their Pesto slices as well!! Right in the heart of the Castro and open late!

Marcellos has the best pesto Pizza this side of Italy it is my favorite go to Every time for pizza you really cannot find a better Pizza than Marcello's unless you hop on a plane and go to Italy 🇮🇹

Cash only! For a quick slice of pizza that hot, fresh and tasty Marcello’s pizza is tough to beat. Their dough is chewy and bread like, the cheese is thick and chewy. I like to sit and eat inside on a wet and cold day. For about $5 it’s a good eats.

The thin crust was chewy and topped with marinara, cheese, lots of fresh mushrooms and diced tomatoes. Simply delicious! SERVICE: Counter service was friendly and quick. OVERALL: A bit pricey, but what homemade pizza joint isn't?

Always sold out of the pesto pizza! Get there fast. Great petite pizza spot. Perfect for a late night snack grabs on a Saturdays (if you know what I mean!) Best part; never fails on taste, quality, and speedy service.

Their slices are on the pricier side but when you buy a fresh pizza…yes, yes, yes. It fulfills me in so many ways. I usually take pizza to go or order delivery. I am not a fan of dining in. It is not a restaurant.

The Sicilian style slices are a great thickness and crunch doughy resistance texture. Single slices get extra cooking which makes it better than a whole pie.

Good service, had a massive calzone which was ok and took about 30 min to make, the pastry was not as good as the regular slice but overall solid spot with great pizza options

It's amazing that $4.75 can get you a decent slice of pizza in SF. One of the best places to stop for a quick & inexpensive dinner in the Castro.

This pizza taste how pizza used to 20 years ago when we had actual delivery from the pizza place staff itself. I don't even know how yo explain it but pizza today seems very uniform regardless of where you get it from.

Not the best way to end our pride celebration. 😅

The quality has gone down significantly and the service is indifferent. Used to love this place—never again.

So went in today, grabbed a slice and a drink..really poor customer service, then a guy sitting out front came into the place who obviously works there started talking smack about me * you know who you are*, then as I sat there eating continuously jabbered away like I wasn't even there. I'm on the spectrum and this kinda stuff burns but you know what they don't need my money. I'll go somewhere else!!!
