This isn’t tampered down Thai food! I enjoyed our meal so much; the meat dishes are cooked and seasoned and spiced to perfection. We didn’t celebrate anything while we were there but we witnessed two birthdays: if you want a fun celebration experience, you should go there, it’s loud and vibrant! When I travel back to SF, I’m definitely coming back.
I had an office happy hour right before valentine's day. so we decide placed a small catering order from Farmhouse. We ordered appetizers and they were a big hit. Everyone who attended enjoyed the food especially the Mieng Kum Kung. Our order came at the perfect time. I will definitely use Farmhouse again for our catering needs in the office. Highly recommend! Thank you!
I'm obsessed with this place! From decor to service and food it's all beyond amazing. Food is very flavorful.
Delicious food, great vibes, and fun, friendly servers, it’s all there. The staff went out of their way to recommend some of their appetizers, which were incredible, crispy, flavorful, and perfectly seasoned. Every dish we tried had a perfect balance of flavors, from savory to spicy, and the portions were generous without being overwhelming. The curries were rich and comforting, the noodles had just the right texture, and the fresh herbs really elevated each dish. On top of that, the decor is playful and visually striking, making it a fun spot for photos as well. Between the flavorful food, welcoming service, and cool atmosphere, it’s definitely a place I’d recommend checking out.
Absolutely loved this Thai spot! The fried rice was perfectly seasoned — flavorful and packed with fresh ingredients. The pad see ew was even better — tender noodles with that perfect balance of sweet, savory, and char. You can really taste the wok flavor. Simple, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. Definitely coming back!
Stepping into Farmhouse, you’re instantly immersed in a feast for the senses. The décor is bold and maximalist neon lights, lush floral displays, and tropical accents create a lively, playful atmosphere. The cocktails are true centerpieces, often served in ornate, whimsical vessels that make the experience as fun as it is flavorful. The staff add to the charm with their warm and welcoming service.
A wonderful place with amazing food! A bit pricey for Thai but you get more than your money's worth. We started with the coconut flavored soup added chicken - honestly that fish alone can feed two hungry people! The beef was absolutely tender fall off the bone. The egg rolls had such a unique flavor. And all the currys were great and generous proportions.
I love this place. I used to work across the street 8 years ago when I started coming here for lunch. I used to order the fried chicken or the beef noodle soup. I don’t quite remember the names but I do remember enjoying every meal I had here. I don’t think the quality has diminished one bit. I still come by here occasionally but more often than not, I order for delivery just to get a hit of that curry dip for the fried chicken at the comfort of my home.
We went all in and it did not disappoint: 🥟 Samosas – crispy, golden, and that sauce? Unreal. 🌱 Fresh rolls – made veggies exciting, thanks to another A+ dip. 🍖 Panang Neua – bone-in beef that’s rich, tender, and totally Luffy-approved. 🔥 Volcano Cup – Thai. Level. Spicy. Not for the faint of tongue. 🥵 Yes, it’s on the pricier side — but honestly? Worth every bite.
Visited with friends from work. Very busy, but delicious food and unique drinks. I had the Tom Yum soup with prawns and it was just spicy enough. Full of flavor and plenty of well cooked prawns. We also shared a few apps including calamari and samosas. It was all very authentic to what we had in Thailand. I had a drink with elderberry liquor, I forget the name, but really loved it. Someone ordered the blue rice which was different to look at, but it's just rice. The staff was attentive and food was delivered quickly. A very enjoyable experience.

They have a really fun menu and the ambiance is pleasant particularly on their front patio. Thai is my favorite kind of food and I’d say this is easily the best Thai restaurant in the city.

As a new California resident, I've been loving the experience of exploring so many new restaurants across San Francisco and the Bay Area. I tried Farmhouse Kitchen Thai Cuisine for a weekend lunch, and overall, it was a great experience. We started with Thai tea, which tasted good, but the giant ice ball added mainly for presentation was a bit of a mood killer--it looked nice but diluted the drink quickly. The crispy egg rolls were delicious--perfectly crispy and flavorful, a great way to start the meal. We also ordered chicken tom kha. It was very tasty, with big pieces of chicken and vegetables, but it felt more like a stir fry than a soup. I personally wished it had a bit more soup For the mains, we ordered the chicken red curry with blue jasmine rice. The curry itself was absolutely delightful--rich, comforting, and full of flavor. However, the blue jasmine rice didn't really add anything to the taste. It looks great for Instagram shots, but you can easily skip it and stick to regular white rice. We also ordered the Thai fried rice, which was a total flavor bomb--so good that I actually forgot to take a photo of it! Their Mother's Sauce deserves a special mention--it's incredibly delicious but very spicy, so be careful if you can't handle the heat. The ambience is very cute, and the service was fast, making the overall experience enjoyable. Definitely going back--there's still so much on the menu to try!
Farmhouse Kitchen in the Mission District is a dependable option for a casual date night if you’re craving Thai food. We were able to walk in and get a table without a reservation on a weeknight. We shared the samosas with a dipping sauce, and I ordered my go-to Pad Thai with prawns. It satisfied the craving.
We came here for Saturday lunch (later in the lunch time). The place was lively but not crowded. We didn't have a reservation but got the table right away. Some of the staff members were nice and friendly while some were indifferent which felt borderline rude at times. We ordered non-alcoholic Martini which I wasn't a fan of. For starters we had Crispy egg rolls and Roti Mataba, both the dishes were really tasty with good quantities. For mains we shared Pad Kee Mow which was just a perfect amount of spicy (for our South Asian taste buds) Very mixed bag but pretty Instagrammish decor.

This restaurant is hyped. The food is authentic and beautifully presented but if you are interested in authentic Thai food, there are less pricier ans less pretentious places you can go to. This restaurant is designed like a gaudy and over-the-top Thai wedding hall. The tables are too close to each other for comfort. If I am paying $50 approx for each dish, I would like some comfortable seating room where I am not within 1 foot of another table. The music is too loud. Add the cacaphony of conversations with tables too close to each other, you can barely have a decent conversation. While the presentation of the food is elegant, the service is rushed. The servers hover over you expecting you to finish your meal quickly and leave. If you want to savour good Thai food, go elsewhere. If you want drama with your food, visit this one.
Farmhouse used to be one of my fave places in the city. I've always enjoyed their sampler plate when I feel like getting a little bit of everything. It's pretty big and I typically order this thru doordash to share with my mom & boyfriend when we want to eat something very nice but stay at home. But when I'm at the restaurant, I usually like to get the hat yai fried chicken because I could honestly tear that up solo. My runner up is the panang neau. For this visit, we ordered the hat yai fried chicken, pad kee mow, crab fried rice and three island thai teas. Their food is always pretty good! But the island thai tea seemed to miss something, we all agreed at the table that it lacked the coconut cream. But there's a chance we all were thinking it'd be more like a thai milk tea - which could be a misinterpretation on our end. Other days I would have given this place 4 or 5 stars. But yesterday was an interesting experience as our hostess was pretty rude. Not sure if it was part of a sassy act or if he was already annoyed about walk-ins. But two friends & I walked in without reservations and the restaurant likely just opened because there were roughly 5 tables filled out of the 20ish tables around. When he decided to take us in (mentally), he grabbed menus & began to walk away from us without prompting us to follow. He then looks back at us very annoyed that we didn't follow, we all realize & head towards him where he then places us at our seats and walks away. It was not the best way to start the experience as I've never had a negative experience here before. After about 45 mins into our meal, he comes back to drop off the check and tells us that we need to wrap it up which is also something I've never experienced at a restaurant. But we paid, I chugged the remainder of my drink, and left. All in all, food is still good but the customer service experience is disappointing. I acknowledge people have bad days but I haven't seen these two friends that I was having dinner with for a while & was excited to catch up with them but was feeling so rushed & unwanted here. Bummer because I remember telling people how the folks here go above & beyond (especially for birthdays!). But I think things may have changed post-pandemic. If you come here, consider take-out. The only thing bright & bubbly about this place is their decor. Hopefully this was just a one-off experience, but we’ll see if I ever decide to come back in-person again.
Our group of 6 went there for lunch. I can only speak for my experience with the food I chose. The Samosa appetizer was good, for my entree I chooses Crab Fried Rice, that's where I was having a problem, where is the "JUMBO LUMP CRAB MEAT" mentioned in the menu??? the dish itself was Unctuous, but I was disappointed with the lack of crab in that dish, a lot of rice for $40, Don't think I will go back.
Solid Thai restaurant but a victim of its own success. Made a reservation for 4 and based on the call, was not a problem, but still had to wait for a table. Service is solid but you aren't going to get too much attention-understandable given the volume of patrons and orders they have to deal with. Menu is extensive and priced as you might expect from the neighborhood and clientele. The food was good but came out not quite as hot (temperature) as you'd like. Interior is attractive, as are the dishes and cocktails. No freebies for birthdays, haha.

Waitress was so friendly and they have some cool things to try but it is extremely overpriced. You are paying for the Instagram-worthy photos of the food rather than the flavors itself.

Went here for the first time today. Kee Mao noodles were good, and chicken wings were ok. But a $40 crab fried rice was just meh, had hardly any crab and was overall not tasting well - such a disappointment. We also ordered a coconut drink, and it felt like a packed cheap drink from a nearby store. Worse, I closed the order and then my son started asking for a dessert and they simply refused to serve the dessert stating that our order was closed. I even requested for a take away and they declined- and now a rather rude tone and it was the Valentine’s Day when love was supposed to be in the air lol. I wish other people bon appetite there but I’m not going there again.
Pad ka pow was just chunks of chicken and not ground chicken with any Thai chili peppers, not authentic at all, also you need to pay extra for the egg and rice it's supposed to come with making this …

It was very expensive and not worth the money. The soup cost $46, and they didn’t even let us finish it because they were closing. They turned off the lights and told us we had to leave.
It’s a pretty good atmosphere but the service and the food wasn’t at my expectations at all ordered Tom yum soup, Panang Neue and pad Thai. The Tom yum soup is extremely salty and it’s not what I would like to pay for at that price range, also lack of services, no greetings and checking up until the end of the dinner
This was honestly the worst experience I’ve had here. The restaurant has gone downhill and I can no longer recommend it. My partner and I came to celebrate a holiday and arrived around 4:30pm. The place was empty, and we chose to sit outside. Service started quickly, but the table was dirty and looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time. We ordered two iced Thai teas ($6.50 each). The flavor was just average. I also asked the server for two cups of water, but she completely ignored me. Later, someone just brought me a cup of ice instead—so frustrating, especially since it was really hot outside. The outdoor tables, tablecloths, and chairs all felt worn out and uncomfortable. For food, we ordered two dishes. The first was their new Burmese Lobster Noodles. It came with half a lobster—but no claw, and the lobster itself was dry, tough, and definitely not fresh. It was honestly inedible. The second dish was the Beef Cup Noodles. It was spicy and tasted okay, but for $39, it felt like a rip-off. In total, for just two dishes and two drinks, the bill came out to $115 before tip. They even added an extra “SF mandate tax.” Three years ago, I had good experiences here, but after this visit, I won’t be coming back.
