Opinions de Southern Pacific Brewing San Francisco
Southern Pacific Brewing has a neighborhood vibe but still attracts the usual Mission crowd: tech teams running offsites downstairs, board-game groups locking in upstairs, and locals weaving through it all. The space absorbs volume well and stays functional even when it’s busy. Portions are large across the board, which is part of why the place works for groups. The chicken wings are my go-to and the most reliable item they make. Beer lineup is broad enough to keep everyone covered, and staff keeps service moving without slowdown. It’s an easy, repeatable choice in the Mission with a built-in community feel that delivers a great beer garden feel, indoors a warehouse space.
Good beers and great foods. Fish tacos were delicious, the buffalo cauliflower despite not being breaded was bomb dot com on account of the yummy ranch and buffalo sauce (probably made in house), and the sage fries were not only crispy and luscious, but were also a taste sensation. 10/10 will return. Did not see any power outlets if you need to plug in. There’s indoor and outdoor seating.
Southern Pacific Brewing is a brewery located in San Francisco, California. They offer a variety of craft beers, including IPAs, stouts, and other styles. Their brewpub also typically serves food, and it's known for its spacious and industrial-chic atmosphere. Great for large groups and parties.
Went here on a sunny Sunday afternoon during Carnaval weekend. Lots of outdoor tables in the shade. Ordered from QR code on mobile phone at the table. The food and drinks were served within 5 minutes even though the place was somewhat crowded. Service was fast and the kitchen was generous with the ingredients. I saw party-size dishes available on the menu. This place is big enough to have tables set up inside as well with live trees and dining area on an upper level.
This place was awesome! We walked over from mission Dolores, was about a 15 minute walk, and it’s in a very cool, indoor/outdoor, spacious, repurposed warehouse. There’s upstairs and downstairs areas and even though the place already had a ton of people there we got seats for a group of 12 no problem at all. Really enjoyed the beer and food and I would love to go back again!
I didn't have breakfast before venturing out, so decided to stop here for a quick bite around lunch time. The sage fries are a must have! Absolutely delicious! I was told the burgers are good too. I tried a craft beer which was nice and cold. Great bartender alongside a fun, relaxing atmosphere. The trees inside and outside give it an extra touch
Love the vibe and the atmosphere. It’s a relaxed environment to stay for hours and chit chat with your friends while sipping on a variety of beers, non-alcoholic beers and drinks, and cocktails. Also, they have a wide variety of delicious appetizers like the sage & garlic fries. And they had an awesome art display, where you could see a changed display when you took a picture with flash.

Hands down one of the best breweries in the city. It has great food and a lively atmosphere!
Came here last night with a group, will definitely be back for future happy hours since it's a brewery with a full bar and food. Very easy to get a large table right away. \n\nThey have so many tab…
Great beers and pretty decent food for the price! Lots of space inside but I've always enjoyed sitting out on their patio.
We're sad to see a 3 star rating. We order delivery from them maybe1 x/week or less. The cheeseburger is delicious. Their fish & chips are great!\nThey pay attention to your requests. Side sauces a…
This place is awesome. Great drinks, really nice for happy hours. Lots of space too. Definitely don't go on super hot days though. But it's nice.
Love this brewery, but best to go on "off hours" IMP, as due to the warehouse structure the sound / noise can become deafening. They do have outside seating, which is really nice with a covered patio…
I’ve been coming to Southern Pacific Brewing for years, and honestly it is what it is. It’s a huge space, so it’s great if you’ve got a big group or party. I’m not really a beer person myself, but down to hangout here when people pick it and most people seem to enjoy it. It can definitely get loud, so keep that in mind. They do serve food, which is fine - not amazing, not terrible, just okay. If you’re into large brewery vibes, this could be your spot. Personally, I don’t go out of my way to come here, but I also wouldn’t be upset if a group wanted to meet up here.
Highly recommend getting the brass hat burger. It's a wonderful combination of perfectly caramelized onions, reduced with these soft jalapenos, covering this nice & thick patty. It was so great. Their tap system was unfortunately not working the day I was here though, but I'll definitely be back to try out their beers!
I really like the venue. I did not order any food so will only comment on beer. they have a nice outdoor seating area and the bathrooms are great. I had their juicy IPA. No off flavors and perfect carbonation. Parking in the area is limited and the alley across the street is a homeless area full of trash, needles, and other unmentionables - I definitely would feel uncomfortable in the area at night and alone.
Fun and unique spot to have a drink and some good food with friends. The venue brings in a lot of light and had a dog friendly outdoor patio so this is a great day spot. Definitely a good find when you’re in the area and looking to stop and a good beer. I really like their IPA. Also had their version of a michelada which was really tasty though it is not what I would consider a traditional michelada and the salt around the rim was just kinda slapped on without much thought. They have a kitchen and their food is solid. Great burger and fries. They make a curry ketchup in house that’s just ok. The bartender can be stand offish sometimes but the staff is generally awesome. Will definitely keep this place in mind when I’m in the area.
First of all the location is great! I love the huge big urban warehouse vibe. Lots of positive energy the second I walked in, for a Thursday night it was packed! They have an outside patio, a downstairs location and an upstairs loft, a full bar along with some great beer. The food was really good, not a usual fan of brewery food.
Nice little microbrewery. Good prices and great food. Fun relaxed atmosphere and friendly bartenders. Beer selection is diverse. I wasn't thrilled with all the selections I tried. Some seemed like failed experiments, and some had a slightly musty unfiltered taste, but some were downright fantastic. I really liked their twist on a hefeweizen! I look forward to coming back and trying new selections. I applaud these brewers for taking risks, even if they don't all turn out well, you can tell they really put their hearts into their brews.
They were out of most brewed beers. \nThe Mexican lager was like water. Poor choice. \n\nOrder on a QR code, delivery was quick, but the place was near empty on a Saturday afternoon. Loud.

The space is amazing. Huge and clean. The staff was super rude and hard to work with. We pulled one seat from another table, not blocking any walk ways and not at a busy time at all and they told us …

Hidden gem. This place is tucked away in a corner street but the warehouse setting is really awesome. Huge space, great lighting, great beer and good bar food.
Echoing what others have said.... not offering tastes of beer in a brewery is absurd. My friend and I purchased a beer each blindly and were not happy with our expensive beers. The bartender was no…

Environment was cool, but the food was super disappointing. We ordered hamburgers and they were beyond bad. Literally the thinnest patty I’ve ever seen, dry and zero flavor. Bun was no better, for $15 I would expect decent. After we finished, we joked that the only good part of the meal was that we had something in our stomachs. Come on Southern Pacific, you can do much better!
The bouncer is asking for money to get us in. The place is empty and still they didn't let us in\n20minutes waiting just to get in
food is good!\nService is faster.\nAmbiance ok but it's way too cold can't enjoy my drinks ..can't really enjoy my chilasxing night. It really really cold.
What an experience of bad way to close the night - if you spend over $200 - you automatically get charged a surcharge as a LARGE PARTY while you were a group of 4 walking up to the bar to order your drinks ie you are penalized for spending at a bar… I am all for tipping the industry and will always do but the “this is the industry standard” when I asked why am I am put in a LARGE PARTY and I got a sassy and actually QUITE disrespectful answer - I say no tip. Sadly, I am sorry to the hard working people of this place due to this policy and privileged service team.
The space is nice and the food and beer is decent but the staff completely brings this place down. You can tell the owners aren’t involved at all. The staff is always angry - it’s just a job for them. They aren’t incentivized to be nice to customers and are noticeably angry when it gets busy. They don’t care about you, they just want to do as little as possible and then clock out. It’s really sad to see such a nice space wasted on such angry, sad humans.
