There’s this naturally lit area with a lot of plants behind, it’s a nice place to spend the afternoon, the lady at the counter was very kind. Might not be the fanciest place you’ll see in SF but the place has a lot of character.

Offers indoor seating along with outdoor patio seating in the back or front. The lady working was really accommodating and nice. The coffee was hot and bold. Patron leaving said the food was really good, and recommended to try something. Wife & I tried the croissant sandwich w/egg & cheese, which was also offered on either bagel or English muffin. Not sure if cafe had wifi or not, so if you plan to go to study or work, call ahead to ask if they have wifi.

Lovely little cafe near some good walking trails. Cash/Venmo only. Has plenty of seating, either out front, out back, or anywhere inside. Cafe mocha was fine, but the sub sandwich and the cookie I got were stellar.

Really cute place! The food is decently priced and I enjoyed their decor and rosemary sub. I wish it were not Zelle or Cash only, but otherwise it's a good time.

Food, service and atmosphere are all amazing here. Wandered in by accident and the owner was a super nice and attentive woman who asked how our sandwich was, explaining where they got the bread. (Boudin’s, couldn’t get any better than that). We relaxed in the garden with our sandwiches and felt like we traveled back in time when things were simpler. Give this place a try.

This is a beautiful little place that feels very homey. Food was delicious and fresh. Coffee was great. Janet was incredibly sweet. Lots of pastries that looked incredible but I didn't try them yet. Will definitely come back next SF trip!

This charming spot is not only adorable but the food is done with lots of love and you can taste it with each bite. This was easily one of my favorite bites while out in San Francisco, they have plenty of seating with books and games scattered through out. They even have a table out in the back in the garden that is whimsical and beautifully hidden with plants and charm. If I ever find my self back I will gladly come back to support this little shop. Thank you again for your kindness and yummy food!

This is one of my favorite places in the city. My partner and I love to come here together to spend a morning or afternoon. It feels like the type of place you can stay and relax in for several hours because it is peaceful. The owner is so kind and personable. The food is delicious. I always leave with a smile on my face.

As an SF visitor, I'm walking all around the coast. I stopped by for coffee and a sandwich to take on my walk. She made me a great, fresh sandwich. I was impressed to see who I thought was just the barista make the sandwich from scratch. I don't know if she was the owner or just a great employee but very friendly. Wish I could've stayed to chat and enjoy the great atmosphere they have.

You may wonder why a little cafe gets 5 stars. This isn't a Michelin rated hot spot, it's even rarer. A local coffee shop that still feels like a cafe/coffee shop. Mismatched tables, books to read, local boars with neighborly events and peoples services, quaint inside and a patio. The sandwiches ......I've been coming here for 15 years and they are still the same and are amazing! The primary woman who I assume owns this is so nice. There aren't many of these around anymore but if you love a good sandwich and an old school awesome coffee house, this is your place.

I happened upon it early morning as it was opening. The coffee was hot and good, as were the pastries. Nice little place where you can hang out inside or outside as time & weather permits. A nice place to either warm up before your hike along the lands end trail or a nice inexpensive trip end to refuel. Close to public transit. A big plus for locals who don't want the hassle of driving. OVA a nice non tourist place to hang out for a period .

The patio is beautiful, with tables surrounded by trees. Service was slow because it was just the owner and one other person but it didn’t matter because it was such a nice place to hangout. My friend got a smoothie and they give us the extra in a separate cup! Egg and cheese on English muffin- 3.5/5 good amount, not overly full after, flavor a little bland, could use more salt, not hot when I got it Coffee of the day- 3/5 normal drip coffee

Stopped by this cute cafe for brunch! The cafe is big and spacious with seating. They also have a backyard patio! Only complaint was that we waited SO long for a salad & a sandwich (that was shared between 2 people). It wasn’t busy at the time we went, only 1 other pair of patrons ahead of us yet we waited almost 30 minutes for food that shouldn’t take that long to prepare. The food was delicious and service was very commendable and kind, however we were a little too hungry to fully enjoy the meal after waiting so long!

I was really going to one of my regular Chinese restaurants and it happened that they were closed on that day and as I was walking back to my car, I gave the Garden House Cafe a second look and decided I'd give it a try. I checked out the menu and I opted for the bacon and egg sandwich option and asked the lady to use croissant instead of their usual. She was more than accommodating. The sandwich was very good, but it was the whole atmosphere that compelled me to write this review. The interior was old school coffee house darkish, but it felt quaint and cozy comfortable. Some folks were busy with laptops as they worked away given they have free WiFi access there. But what sold me on the place was the outdoor patio/garden-like dining area, quite Eden-ish in tranquility as I settled in for one of the most relaxing midmorning brunch I've had in a long time. I lucked out in that the weather was perfect, I had the patio area all to myself and had no other pending errands to do. Maybe that was just it, that for a short period, time felt unhurried and with bacon & egg sandwiched in a croissant, could life get any better?

The chocolate muffin costs only $2.5 but is so big that I can only eat half of it. The cafe is pretty quaint. There are old books, posters and furnitures in the dining area, as well as a cute, half shaded patio in the back with plenty of tables. The lady owner of the cafe is such a warm, funny person and gives you the vibe of a nice neighbor. She has been running the cafe for 20+ years and I definitely see why locals would support her business. I for sure would love to come back too.

There was a lot of great bougainvillea in bloom! The cafe is filled with paintings and beautiful pieces of art that adds to the charming vibe! There’s also a piano for customers to play—We didn’t use it, but is a really nice touch! The cafe appears so unassuming from the street, but is so large and cozy once you go in! My partner and I both really enjoyed the sandwiches. I’d definitely recommend the vegetarian eggplant sandwich on a sweet french roll. The chai latte was a bit weak, though still good. However, the cafe latte with syrups was very nice! They definitely don’t skimp on the latte foam! Great service, very sweet and charming business :)

Lovely and cute spot to get some simple sandwiches and salads. It's a bit show though since the owner, I assume she's the owner, was working by herself. However, food is freshly made, fresh ingredients, and she was extremely nice. The patio is also nice, charming, and quiet.

Stopped by Garden House Cafe to grab a coffee while we were just walking around town. We waited about ~15 mins to place our order as the place was a bit busy and it looks like the staff was short handed with only one person making all the food and drinks, shout-out to them! (which for us was okay, we were not in a rush and sometimes things just happen that’s out of your control). The iced coffee was really good and really refreshing! The interior seemed very cozy, very comfortable, a place you drop by to read/study and have a coffee or a snack. Definitely recommend visiting!

I usually get cappuccino here, and today I stopped in to use the bathroom. An older lady forced me to buy something just to use it, and on top of that, she didn’t accept any cards. I had to ask my friend to send a Zelle payment because I didn’t have any cash. As a woman, I really needed to use the bathroom. Honestly, this place doesn’t feel welcoming or humane!
