Gratta Wines is a highly-rated café in San Francisco, offering a delightful experience with a focus on exceptional wines. With a 4.8-star rating based on 75 reviews, we pride ourselves on fast service and a welcoming atmosphere. We are proud to be an LGBTQ+ and women-owned establishment. Enjoy our carefully curated wine list through dine-in or takeout, with outdoor seating available. We are open Tuesday through Thursday from 3-9 PM, and Friday and Saturday from 12-10 PM. Please note we are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Accessibility is a priority, featuring a wheelchair accessible entrance, restroom, and seating.

My favorite local wine bar! Barb Gratta is the owner and winemaker. She sells her own wines as well as has a fantastic lineup of other providers. It’s a bar where you feel like everyone knows your name. As soon as you walk in, you’re greeted with a friendly smile and spot at the bar. I love her dolcetto and signature garage wine blend. I also come by for a nice plate of ravioli or tin fish dinner. It’s way better than regular bar food. There’s also a little market where you can pick up provisions if you need to take it to-go. I pick up gelato, pastas made in the neighborhood, canned tuna - it’s all here for you. Stop by and cheers a glass with the locals!
Meatball sandwich was delicious. Just the right size and I loved the side of olives
All the reviews do it justice. They started it as a hobby and it shows! It's homey but delicious and the prices are reasonable. The wines taste young but very flavorful! My fav was the petit syrah.

Super friendly. Quite tasty red wine selection. Very involved with the community. Friendly patrons to get to know. All around excellent experience
Can’t believe I’ve taken soooo long to write this review. My 12yr old son and I LOVE Gratta. We’ve been fans for over 5 years! He has specifically requested to have his 13th birthday dinner at this location. He absolutely is a fan of Barbara’s pasta and marinara sauce. Her marinara sauce is her Italian grandmother‘s recipe. His other go to is the Parmesan chicken and he always make sure to Request pre-prepared food like their meatballs and marinara And other items from their Italian market. My go to is wine ( of course) And their Caprese Panini. I’ve also taken my mother, who can be a super picky person, to enjoy their food and she is also a converted fan :-)
The owners/winemaker is fantastic and deeply connected to our community. The winery is right next door. Wines are great, and the meatballs are a special family recipe.

Not only the wines that Barbara makes are great, the wine bar is also a great community builder. The design of the space is just conducive to interaction. Barbara is a great host and a pleasure to talk to. It's just a great neighborhood place to go to over and over again.
Barbara and Cathy have done it again! The market in the tasting room looks fabulous! I love the additions to the selection too. Such a nice neighborhood gem. I am looking forward to coming back.
A great neighborhood meeting spot and fun place to meet new neighbors. Barbara is awesome and her wines are delicious. She brings in yummy food from local restaurants every Thursday evening.

Gratta Wines is fantastic. The wine connoisseurs know so much about choosing wines for your tastes. They are kind and fun to be served by. Highly recommend for happy hour or a night out!

Great people, even better wine and a inviting cozy environment. Owner said they will be branching into the space next door by Summer 2019 so they can have bigger events :) I'm excited

This is the definition of a gem, it feels impossible to find places like this outside of a small towns in Europe. Truly kind and great owners and staff. The food was excellent, the wine fantastic. This has become my favorite spot in the city.

A huge asset to the Bayview neighborhood; excellent wine and small plates, especially Rosie's meat balls. Barbara Gratta is a hero IMO.
