I like this place, its been around a long time and is a SF landmark. Lots of history there
This place is my absolute favorite diner and bar in the city. Open twenty fow, yo.
Such an interesting place I'm sure its walls could tell some stories.
Walked into a time warp, defiantly going to be a spot I always make time to stop by when in the area , the sign on the front says “we never close” and best believe they hold that to there standard
An absolutely dingy dive... I love it! Been going here for 40 years.
Old style diner. With great people working
Been going there for 40 yrs and still due.
They really, never, ever close!
Good vibe, feels safe
I love this place truly
Ouzo!!
Good breakfast
Love this place
Does anyone know how "pops" is doing? after i had a car accident .. the tow truck driver took us to the Silvercrest, and i was transported back in time. The pancakes and donuts were amazing!
This is an authentic and important part of broader San Francisco history and my own San Francisco history. I hope they stay open.
This is the best damn establishment West of the Mississippi! Go there, eat the donuts, and drink the ouzo. Silvercrest allows patrons to travel back to a simpler, more funky time. Say "hi" to George and the rest is eazzzzzyyyy, babay!
A hole in the wall gem of a place from way back. Small menu... GREAT FOOD!!!!! The JUKEBOX IS WORKING!!!!!!!!! Thank you Pam!!!!
Loved this place from the first taste. I had a brother come into town and he asked me to go back here. They have a lot of positive reviews for a reason.
Greek owner Chorche working at bar host you with a shot of ouzo. Time has stopped in this local spot. Embrace it while it lasts. 👌
Wow! It's like stepping back into the 1940s-1950s. Bizarrely beautiful and you get the experience you didn't think was possible. Enjoy!
This place is amazing. Its like stepping back in time. It has a very special vibe. You should experience it!
Just came to stop by for coffee :) this place was so beautiful though, like a time capsule of the 50s!
Improbably good hot cakes/breakfast plate and service. This place is clearly under some kind of spell, you should go.
Great shop. Hard to find places open 24/7 in the bay area anymore.
This is a Family own the Best Breakfast spot on town been going here over 30 years!
Went in staff was asleep but open 24 hours and warm place when cold
WE NEVER CLOSE neon out front says it all. clean yummy greasy spoon food. super nice folks
Great food at great prices with good service and open 24h with some very nice retro vibes! We visited at 4 AM after being jetlagged and the food was still super tasty. It doesn’t take cards so come prepared with cash
I am always casually on the hunt for THE PERFECT eggs over medium. Usually it’s over cooked, over hard, or too runny, over easy, as in most scenarios the cooks either don’t know how or care how to make a proper egg. THIS PLACE NAILED IT! In addition, fresh bacon, fluffy toast and an atmosphere so retro it was retro before retro was retro make this restaurant a true diamond in the rough. 10 stars all around.
Silver Crest Donut Shop in San Francisco, CA, is a hidden gem that left me thoroughly impressed. I savored their delectable 2 eggs and sausage breakfast, which surpassed all expectations. The star of the experience was undoubtedly the exceptional service provided by Lily and George. Their warm and attentive nature made me feel right at home. The nostalgic, old-school ambiance added a touch of charm to the overall atmosphere. Silver Crest is a must-visit for a delightful breakfast experience in San Francisco and the place is open 24/7.
The Best . Good old school donuts in an untouched historical building. Well worth a visit just to sit in there and go back in time.
This place oozes old SF culture. Come and play the greek music on the record-playing jukebox with a handwritten song selection
Feels like a time portal and pancakes are insanely good

My buddy introduced me to this hidden gym. Open 24 hours a day. Great American breakfast 🥞🍳 spot. This family owned eatery rocks.
This is a great neighborhood spot. Have a shot of Ouzo with George the owner/bartender, drink a bud or coors banquet and hear about how the neighborhood was back in the 70s and 80s. Pool still only costs 25 cents a game, the jukebox still has 80s/early 90s hits and some Greek traditionals and the remodel from '71 is still in pretty good shape. I always take home a few donuts for everyone in the morning after getting my fill at the bar. One of these days we're going to go have breakfast.
Sure, SC menu prices have gone up serving the same dishes forever with their vintage decor that's a little rough around the edges, needs some patching up. It's been like this for so long, decades even, and we like it exactly for these reasons...and that's what makes SC our regular breakfast spot for years. Family owned. Yes, you can still find old school diners across San Francisco dishing up plates piled high with bacon, eggs & pancakes and serving bottomless cups of coffee; we love all aspects of local flavor SC gives us. This place has unbelievably huge donuts. Old jukeboxes on the counters and booths, and old pinball machines, which all need a tune up. Same regulars as far back as we remember. We wouldn't have it any other way.
Amazing food, best hamburger i think I have ever had. Everything was fresh. An older man doing it all by himself. Recommend for everyone to stop by.
It was like stepping back in time, magical and delicious. The owner was really nice, and the entire experience was soul soothing. That it's twenty four hours is only one of the best parts about it
This is my absolute favorite diner anywhere on earth. And for so many reasons. 1. Atmosphere: is it a bar? A diner? A pinball machine warehouse? A little bit of all this things, really. Cozy, weird, and vaguely threatening, there isn't any risk that you'll be outclassed by your surroundings. More likely, you'll find yourself wanting to stay well after you're done eating. And no one will be rushing you to leave. 2. Service: i was better attended than in most of the "better" restaurants I've been to, and Pamela actually boxed my leftovers for me. Love that!! 3. Food: perfectly simple, simply perfect. Pancakes were incredible.
Interesting place to say the least. I must say first of all, they do not have donuts even though there’s a huge sign says they do nor do they have milkshakes. And if you are hoping to play with the pinball machines or mini jukeboxes on the counter while waiting for your food, you are out of luck. 😔But on the bright side, it’s one of the few 24hr spots with not one but two pool tables and to top it off the food was great! I got a bacon cheeseburger which surprisingly came with 6 full size pieces of bacon!🥓
There's no way to do this place justice in a Google review. Here's the deal: they have really delicious donuts, and coffee, and great service - the couple running the place on the Friday afternoon were such great characters, big personalities in the best possible way. We got many coffee refills on the house. There are those table old-style jukeboxes all over the place, and while none of them work, they look cool, and tie in with the timeless could-be-the-50s, could-be-present-day vibe. My only regret is that as of Nov 2021, the bar part is not open, so we couldn't check that out. Feels like Bukowski's ghost might have been 86d and they're still cleaning up the mess...

George is Ole School, as Ole School can get. Make sure u have a chot of USSO.
The food is excellent.
Burger was delicious.
The meals are tasty and the portions are generous. Some items are kinda pricey. But they are always open and the service is good. Give them a try!
A real slice of life. Just don't take it seriously and you'll enjoy going back in time. Only place I've ever seen that's both a breakfast diner and a bar, would be a cool spot if it was in a better location.
It's a funny place. They have a row of vintage pinball machines. They only take cash. The food is actually pretty good.
Quiet after 1:00 am. Good food and coffee. Clean. A bit pricey for diner fare.
This Legacy Cafe is a 24-hour operation has never locked its doors since 1967. Greek restaurant tours have a special energy and it's all over the place. It's a family unit and they work as hard as anybody else ain't ever seen.
For whatever reasons, I need something to eat. Whether breakfast, lunch or very late dinners, I can count on the Silver Crest eatery to be open. Food is good. Amble parking and cordial staff 24/7. Nice. May not look exquisite on outside. But inside is what counts!
Very good food! Excellent friendly staff! Amazing retro-Diner vibe that is reminiscent of when Boscov's had a diner in each of their stores. It was a pleasant surprise to see a 24 hour place still going, but we as a society should support them more if we don't want them to completely disappear...

Donuts: awesome French toast: awful Ambience: probably hasn't changed in 60 years.
It was just ok, kind of expensive and only cash
Biggest Donuts in the Whole Wide World
It's ok it's an old place . Same juke box with the original vinyls so you know it's an old place. Bartenders are cool but pretty old but cool
The food is alright, but omg this place should be in a Quintin Tarantino movie
Yes it is open 24 hours. I ordered two coffees and two extra gigantic donuts. The coffee was freshly brewed and the customer service was warm and friendly, the owner sat across the bar from us enjoying his own cup of coffee and the server behind the counter was his wife. The donuts seemed on the not so fresh side and I would not recommend ordering donuts unless they are freshly fried and or delivered I'm not sure if they make them in house but you should ask before ordering. I do recommend the coffee and the company of this historical donut shop.

Overpriced
Haven't really had anything there other than donuts late at night after work but they are not too bad... Might have to stop in during the day to try something else off the menu...
I got depressed being there...made me feel old. I think the best thing about this pace is that it's open 24 hours. The food was ok. The juke boxes at each table did not work and the anachronistic feel of them did not work for me. Other people may find this place to be charming., Like it's a time capsule of how diners were in the 1950s but as I said earlier, for me it was a downer :(

This place is so out dated. They had 3 options that I think were 3 days old. I will not recommend this place.
Worst donuts I've ever had.
They dont even sell donuts
Cash only, no “donuts”, cinnamon twist and other large sized pastries that appeared to have sat through yesterday and the night (my visit is at 3:00 AM) $3.20 for a cup of coffee, $1.55 posted for a refill! Ridiculous. I could’ve gotten a cup from McDonalds right across the street for 1.00 & a Hash Brown to boot for less than $3.20, and a FREE refill. No wonder the place is empty, even at 3:00 AM
Their donuts and coffee sucked! Tasted and looked old. Can't recommend to anyone.
Pricy for basic food. Other places give fruits on your French toast. I got 3 tables spoons of butter lol
Old, yes, but grungy. Owner was grumpy. Menu said soda and iced tea, but she said they don't serve those. Pulled out burgers from the freezer, nuked them, then threw them on the flattop. We were shocked. Oh, and btw....that burger with fries was $13.95. We left.
