Opinions de High Hat San Francisco
The pizza flavors and crisp bottom are just wow. The beer options are very solid, not going crazy but all the flavors you prob want (they have Pliny on tap!). They have tv’s for sports (lady sports too!). This is prob going to be my weekly game watch/ snack spot. All the food esp the salads and pizzas looked excellent. It’s def a bar vibe - so if you want more cozy date night, Angie’s is your spot — but it’s the best straightforward pizza / beer / wine / sports watch concept I’ve experienced in a long time. Thanks Hi Hat, I’ll be back!!
My favorite new pizza spot - the great beer selection makes it a regular spot for us. We’ve already been back a few times!
Some of the best thin slices I’ve had in the city!
As a vegetarian pizza snob, it's hard to find good options in The Mission. Thank you Hi Hat for serving such delicious food. I highly recommend the mushroom pizza.
visited twice now, had the jersey, pepperoni, mushroom, and spicy vodka slice. i love them all. great beer selection. everything that comes out of the kitchen looks and smells amazing. great music. i’ll be returning frequently
Amazing service. Our servers were kind, inviting, and happy - so cute! We had the Vodka sauce slice and the mushroom pizza slice - Vodka sauce was our favorite for sure.
One of THE best pizzas in San Francisco. Soft and not too heavy crust, loaded with amazing sauce, and delicious, high quality toppings. I HIGHLY recommend the Spicy Vodka pizza and the Buffalo Chicken. Honestly the best buffalo chicken pizza I have ever had. Will be going back to try other menu items
Great slices and beer selection. Great service. Look forward to trying their burgers.
Very delicious yummy pizza. Large foldable crispy slices. Reminiscent of a jumbo New York slice. Few rotating specials and a few salads. Expansive drink menu: beer, wine, tap, N/A. Cookie was a nice warm sweet bite that the table could split up.
Yum! I’m a pizza lover and psyched this place has opened up in a sweet spot in the Mission (Valencia + 25th, 2 blocks from BART). The pizza is as close to NY as I’ve had in a long time. The slices are big and you can fold and eat them! I have had 3 so far - margarita, a white pesto pizza with tasty asparagus, and a margarita piled with arugula. We asked for arugula and got a generous portion of spicy fresh arugula. Small selection of wine but that’s ok - I had a rose and it was crisp and dry. Tons of beer and cider on the menu. Large casual bar seating as well as tables and slices available.
Love this spot! Gracious service, delicious pizza available by the whole pie OR just a slice, good tunes, beer and wine—great experience all around! Bonus points for creative events, and alternative to sports visuals on the TVs too!

We had the Spicy Vodka pizza with pepperoni and it was a flavor explosion. The crust was perfectly crispy and chewy. So good. M
As a vegetarian pizza snob, it's hard to find good options in The Mission. Thank you Hi Hat for serving such delicious food. I highly recommend the mushroom pizza.
This place rocks. Food is phenomenal - the chef uses local/seasonal ingredients and you can tell. Everything we ate was absolutely delicious. The pizza is the closest thing you’ll get to a crispy NY slice, thin crust and perfect. We had the Chinese “chicken” (mushrooms instead of chx) salad and it blew us away. Vibe is super cool too - laid back with a cool vintage feel - like you’re having some wine and a slice in your friends living room. Great music. Bartender recommended some killer wine. Can’t wait to go back.
Well deserving of 5 stars. Perfect atmosphere with nice background music, but quiet enough for conversation. Staff provided excellent, friendly service. I tried a couple flavors of the pizza. Pizza slices came out promptly, fresh, and delicious.
Yes, it's as good as they say, especially if you like your crust crunchy and your toppings construed with care. Very large pies that fed 4 of us so also quit the deal.
This new spot is such a gem! The pizza is so good (the crust is next level), and they’ve got a great lineup of beers and wines on tap. The vibe is super fun and welcoming, and honestly, the prices can’t be beat. Definitely a must if you’re in San Francisco!
Been in love with this spot ever since it opened. Unique slices, incredible beer selection and a cool staff. The menu evolves and is really creative with their signature dishes. The mushroom slice is to DIE for. I literally dream about it Whenever I want a quick slice in my neighborhood they are my go to spot!
Their vegan salad was delicious!! And so was the Spicy Vodka & Stracciatella pizza! Loved the fun, chill vibes of the restaurant. The staff was very friendly and made the whole experience great. They had a dj on Saturday night which was a fun addition to our dinner experience.
Headed in today for pizza and a beer after hearing great reviews. Neat little gem. My kind of place. Pizza is incredible. Reminds me of back East growing up in NJ/NY Philly area. Closest pizza I have to back home. Beer selection on draft and in bottle is also incredible. I def will be going back. I wish I found this place sooner as I live in neighborhood (3 years now) Only thing I would change is making it more known in neighborhood. I’ve walked past this place 100 times and had no idea it was a bar with awesome beers and INCREDIBLE pizza. From the outside u have no idea. I only found out from great reviews online. DEFINITELY TELL A FRIEND/FAMILY. Check it out for sure
Stopped here with a group of four on a Wednesday night. We got there as their trivia was wrapping up, so we had to wait about 10-15 minutes for a table to clear up. We ordered a pepperoni pizza and it was phenomenal. I originally wanted to come by here for their craft beer selection, which was also fantastic. If you're in the area and looking for something delicious, you won't go wrong here. My only critique would be that there's room to improve the vibe and give the whole a place a little more personality.
Came on a Friday night and ordered their mushroom pizza and French onion dip. The pizza was fantastic and the drinks menu was superb. The staff were super friendly and we met Ron and he told us about his story and origins of the store.
This neighborhood gem has the Gen X vibe dialed in. Legit pizza and curated beer selection. Good place to watch the game.

The pizza is amazing. Chill atmosphere and friendly staff. They switch up their beers and pizza types very often so it’s always a new experience. Highly recommend!
Always a bit wary of a place with only 5 stars but this was the real deal. This took the spot of favorite pizza in the bay. Pizza flavors were incredible, the bottom was super crispy, and the crust had a perfect chew.

What a wonderful place. The pizza is insane and yet sanely available as made to order slices - a very economical way to have great pizza! The other dishes are equally as good and the staff that serves it all up is attentive and quick as can be. Ten stars, will definitely bring friends to experience Hi Hat!

Hi Hat Pizza: Valencia’s New MVP (Most Valuable Pizza) Fresh on the scene over on Valencia Street, Hi Hat Pizza is already dishing out big flavor and good vibes. The space is chill—somewhere between minimalist and “we just moved in”—but honestly, once the pizza hits the table, you won’t care if the chairs are made of clouds or cinder blocks. They’ve got a full lineup: slices if you’re non-committal, whole pies if you’re ready to go steady, and a beer and wine list that says, “Yeah, we thought this through.” I tried the New York-style Stracciatella and added pepperoni for some extra protein power. It was cooked to perfection—crispy, gooey, and wildly satisfying. Honestly? It was better than a lot of pizza I’ve had in actual New York. Somewhere, a Brooklynite hipster just clutched their pearls. And here’s the kicker: I’m not even that into pizza. But this? This had me planning a second visit before I even finished my first slice. Sorry Little Star, but there’s a new pie in town and it’s shining brighter. Hi Hat, you nailed it. Keep the oven hot—I’ll be back.
After searching high and low for quality pizza in the Bay, we came across Hi Hat on a trip to Dolores Park. Unbelievable quality. We got 4 different types of slices, each of which were exceptional. The crust was deliciously thin and crispy, the ingredients were premium, and the flavor was resounding. They were so generous with the toppings, but in a way that didn’t compromise the integrity of the slice. Extremely fair prices for the city and for the quality of the pizza—I’ve paid quite a bit more for far worse slices. I hope they keep it up as they inevitably get more popular. Can’t wait for my next visit!
