Opinions de Himalayan Pizza & Momo San Francisco
The owner is very sweet! I’ve been coming here for almost 3 years, sometimes 3+ times a month🙈🤣 I always get the chicken tikka masala & chicken Cho mein, (I ask for both Spicy but you can get any level of heat you prefer) & a side of the garlic naan. I’ve tried almost everything on the menu but those are my favorite! The owner has always been very accommodating, I’m a picky eater & this is one place I come and know I’m going to get a good meal.
The waiter, who I didn’t get the name of, was the absolute nicest guy ever. Haven’t had pizza yet but the momos are insane, so so so good. The biryani is suuuper good, not too spicy but enough to make it tasty, great value too, lots of chicken. The goat curry is amazing too, so so flavorful, medium is not spicy really. Love love loved it, great place, can’t wait to come back.
Amazing food and great hospitality. We stumbled upon this gem on a rainy night in the TL. A short walk from our hotel and we were treated to a feast of Nepalese spices and 👌 flavor. Highly recommendation we will definitely be back!
Up and coming Nepalese-Indian eatery. The jhal momo is one of their signature dishes and very good during the SF winter. The Indian fare is also great and the curries are bone-in as in the traditional style. Recommended.
Ordered the goat curry and the momos! We’re glad we stopped by here because this was the most TENDER, flavorful, rich curry I’ve ever had. The momos were well seasoned and satisfying. The portions were extremely generous and we were greeted and served by the kindest, most gracious server/host. We’ll be back once we’re in SF again!
my favorite place to stop by dinner. their organic noodle chowmein is my favorite. highly recommended to this hard working Nepali folks. the food is getting better every day and the neighborhood too!!!
The food was amazing. I was visiting from UK and went to this place with my cousin whom I met after almost 7 years and we had the best food. Will definitely recommend this place and visit again! Momos are 🤌🏻
My wife and I absolutely loved our experience at Himalayan Pizza & Momo! We ordered the Tikka Masala Pizza, Chicken Jhol Momo, and Spicy Chowmein, and every bite was amazing. The flavors were bold, fresh, and so unique. The Tikka Masala Pizza was the perfect mix of creamy and spicy on a crispy crust—definitely a new favorite for us. The Chicken Jhol Momo was incredible, with tender dumplings in a flavorful, tangy broth. And the Spicy Chowmein? It was packed with bold flavors and just the right kick of heat. The schezwan pepper in the sauces really stood out and added such a great touch. If you’re into fusion food or just want to try something delicious, this place is a must! We’re already planning our next visit.
Absolutely one of the best pizza I have got - really positive amazed of the quality and a good service
So delicious and authentic. Very impressive that they have a mastery of both pizza and authentic Nepali food! The Veggie Queen pizza had such a tasty sauce and crispy yet bready and soft crust. The chow mein is so savory, spicy, and delicious. The chilli and Jhol momo are so yummy too! They are also very accommodating to dietary restrictions—everything we got was made vegan, even the pizza! You can also see them make everything fresh. Please give this awesome small business a visit, you won’t regret it :)
Very good place ! First time trying Nepalese food I had khasi ko masu (goat curry), you can ask for not too spicy As a none spicy eater it was very fine !!! Around 17$ Rice comes with it It was fast and the staff is welcoming
Loved the authentic Nepalese food here, definitely a must visit. Try the spicy sauce, it’s a must have on a cold SF night. Thanks Prakash !
We ordered this for one of our event at my workplace. We ordered mainly paneer pizza, queen veggie pizza, and tandoori pizza. The problem is, 2 of our participants were Jain, which can be very hard to accommodate. I called them back and forth to ensure they could make some adjustments for the food and Nabu and Santosh were one of the few places who’s willing to accommodate such hard request, and the only one who really went above and beyond on the request. They’re really kind and flexible! The food’s arrived on time and still warm too. Very delicious and flavorful, all of our participants provided great feedback on food. I love their paneer pizza. I think it could use more cilantro, though. But still very lovely. 10/10 will keep them for our next events!
Best momo in SF and the people are really nice!!! Also they have good collection of Beer- try the Barasinghe🍻

The best jhol momo, perfect for SF weather, cold defender Nice portion as well for the price
I really enjoyed my visit to Himalaya Pizza & Momo. If you go, definitely try the jhol momos — they’re soft, flavorful, and the broth is so comforting. I can see why everyone recommends them. The portions are seriously big, so you get a lot of food for what you pay. It’s a great spot if you’re hungry or want good value. I also recommend asking for ting-mo bread or their spicy sauce on the side. Both add a nice extra kick and make the meal even better. Overall, a great place for delicious Nepali food. I’ll definitely be back!
I can't stop raving about Himalayan Pizza & Momo—an absolute gem tucked away in the Tenderloin that has my heart (and my stomach)! The moment you walk in, you're met with a warm, cozy atmosphere that feels like a comforting hug from the Himalayas. It's authentic, unpretentious, and just so inviting. First things first: the momos. Oh my, the momos. Whether steamed, fried, or drenched in spicy jhol, each bite bursts with flavor and soul-soothing goodness. The jhol momo broth is tangy, comforting, and downright addictive—the best I've had in the city. Then there’s the Himalayan-style pizzas—crispy desserts with wildly creative toppings like tandoori chicken, paneer, tikka masala sauce, and paneer. The crust is snappy and holds up beautifully to the bold Nepalese-Indian fusion flavors. It’s comfort food with a delightful twist. The menu is full of surprises beyond these favorites—from spicy chow mein to rich goat curry and biryani (great portions at great prices). There’s something for every craving, and plenty of vegetarian and gluten-free options too. The staff are friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind—it feels like being welcomed into someone’s home. Plus, this spot delivers the best value for price and portions in the neighborhood. In a city overflowing with choices, Himalayan Pizza & Momo stands out by staying true to its roots and delivering bold, comforting Nepalese flavors with heart. Highly recommend for a soulful, flavorful meal—whether you're dining in, ordering takeout, or looking for late-night picks.
I drive around the city and best place to eat MoMo ( Dumplings) & pizza in San Francisco is Himalayan Momo & Pizza. People are very friendly. Price is about $15.00 per item in this Expensive City. You can’t beat the price anywhere in Town. MoMo & Chowmin, my favorite. Pizza is Phenomenal. You should check it out
I ordered fried veggie momos for lunch and it was SO GOOD. The dumpling filling is excellent, the crispiness perfection and the sauce plentiful. I highly recommend dining in and supporting this small business, they're absolutely killing it in a tough location.
Loved the momo and chowmein here! The momos were juicy and full of flavor, and the chowmein was tasty with the right amount of spice. Highly recommended!

The food was amazing, we tired Tikka Masala Fries 5/5 Jhol momos 4/5 Chicken tandoori pizza 4/5 Friendly staff and great service. But the location was shady with lots of homeless people around. And the restaurant only had few tables with no AVAC. Highly recommend to take To Go or Delivery
Really stinky restaurant. Smells like pee in the restaurant. I usually order online and this time decided to eat the pizza fresh at their location. But the whole place smelled like pee. Couldn't even breath. Ew! I have ordered pizza from this here like maybe 10x in the last few months, and now wonder about the hygiene with which they prep! Any suggestions for another paneer pizza place are welcomed.
