Affordable Vietnamese food in tenderloin. Just back here after few months and all the windows at street level are boarded up. I supposed it closed. You can try “chè thái” and “bánh mì” here. I came for “bánh da lợn” and “xôi”.

Lots of variety, from warm desserts, che, coconuts, vietnamese sandwiches, and more. The prices are great, and $5.50 goes a long way. Would definitely go again for a quick and cheap bite to eat in the city with friends that arent too picky with their food

Only place selling that much variety of Vietnamese plated desserts in SF!! I bought the tricolor coconut shredded Tam Khoai Mi $3.99, durian essence Banh Da Lon $3.99, and green leaf wrapped cha $7. (There is an empty spot in my picture because I bought it haha.) I feel sad about the condition of Little Saigon/Tenderloin. SF government needs to do more cleaning up the streets, poop, and making sure homeless and inappropriate people don't loiter. They accept credit cards.

Lee's Sandwiches felt like it has seen better days. There used to be so many food items when you first walk-in but now those items are put away. The menu on the wall is faded with prices written over. Lee's could be an option if the line is too long down the street at the other sandwich places. While waiting for my combo banh mi $6.50 and Korean BBQ banh mi $10, I had this overwhelming feeling of unfairness. It is tough to see the female workers having to deal with the dilapidated conditions outside. It wasn't always like this. Regardless, the banh mi's were OK. They are best enjoyed on the same day. It isn't as good if I put in the refrigerator.

I love buying weird little Vietnamese dessert thingies here all the time but it's kind of annoying that their posted open hours are till 8pm but they usually lock the door ten to twenty minutes before that :(

I definitely prefer saigon sandwiches across the street, but I have a good amount of friends who like this place too. A lot of choices for banh mi's and other vietnamese food. They also sell a lot of really good vietnamese snacks and such. The decor is a typical lee's sandwich place. Clean, open, and nice. Not bad.

This store is ok! I only come to purchase the plain Vietnamese sandwich which calls bánh mì and some original Swiss made Laughing Cow cheese for snacks. I love having plain(without meats)bánh mì serving with the Swiss Laughing Cow creamy cheese and the fresh Dole bananas as lunch snacks. Lee has all kinds of these best known delicious laughing cow creamy cheese of eight wedges laughing cow cheese in a circling paper box with the most reasonable price in the city $2.99per box. I also love the store made bánh mì which is very similar to the French baguette and the French baguette is focusing on the hard and crunchy while the Vietnamese bánh mì is very softly and crunchy what I love the most is it is very tender that makes everybody loves it. I live in Daily City but I usually visit the City and come over the Lee's sandwich to get the bánh mì(buy1gets1free)$1.75 per bag on the outer shell. Never might,I do not need the fresh bake sandwiches. When get home,I will carefully wrap them with the air-tight plastic bags then put them in the refrigerator for the next day's homemade Vietnamese barber-cute sandwiches and put them in the small kitchen oven just heat them up for two minutes after insert some giò chã or barber-cube port underneath and some red/white carrots which cut into small tooth pick liked from the dipping vinegar on top of the sandwiches with several leaves of cilantro and raw Union and adding several pieces of chili on top. But be alerted ! and I took away two stars because the store mixed the best Vietnamese sandwiches with the cheaply bake interiors sandwiches which I always saw in the Chinese coffee house in Chinatown. These interiors Chinese styled bake sandwiches would tell the different in one bite without any tenderness and dried my throat off which will ruin my appetites when mistakenly chosen. The service is ok,unlike other reviewer's complain about the store's services or might be I have visited the store on 6-7pm in an off peak hours with less crowded and more services. Edited on Oct-13-2015(Tues) I just give the store one more star for the friendly and knowledgeable services of the store cashiers. These girls(cashiers)are young and good looking and speak English fluently but I love their beautiful melody liked southwestern accent when they speak Vietnamese.

I feel that a lot of people don't care for Lee's sandwiches because it's a chain. On the few days I I forget to bring lunch to work Lee's is where I go due to there not being a line. In all honesty the sandwiches are very reasonable, especially for 3.50.

Great food decent price. Recommend spam and egg on croissant with a taro smoothie. Extra sweet of course. Very authentic vietnamese food. Second only to saigon sandwiches

Went here on a Saturday morning. This place is huge for a store in SF! Yes, they have sandwiches but also other Vietnamese food items wrapped in plastic for you to eat. There's also pastries and other random snacks. Typical Lee's you can find anywhere else!

Inside, it was mostly empty and had a limited selection of packaged foods. It's pretty barren compared to before the pandemic. There's a large menu of made-to-order items and pre-made items. The drinks are located in refrigerators with roll-up doors. To open, just pull down on the metal handle. There is also a limited seating area with a few stools. I had two chicken egg rolls and a cup of che thai. The egg rolls were oily but delicious. It was $2.99 for 2 which is kind of pricy for egg rolls. The Che Thai was $6.50. The jellies and longan tasted good and the coconut milk was perfectly sweetened to my taste. It was really good and had lots of jellies. They have other, less expensive drinks. After tax, my order's total was $9.75 for a dessert/drink and two egg rolls. Overall, I liked this place and other customers seemed to be happy with their purchases. There was a large variety of things on sale. The place was pretty big and with the empty shelves, it wasn't hard to imagine how nice it would've been before the pandemic. Currently, the place seemed kind of sad and I felt that the things were overpriced.

The sandwiches are big enough to share if you're not super hungry. They also have a smaller size option, which is still big enough to fill you up. The store has a variety of Asian snacks, drinks, and desserts, and also a selection of other packaged meal options if you're not there for the banh mi. Both times we went, the cashier gave me something extra to take home for free...not sure if it was because it was closing time, I looked extra hungry, or they're just awesome like that, but I was still thankful! I recommend trying the #5 Grilled Pork (thit nuong) and/or #6 BBQ Pork (xa xiu). The location isn't great, but if you're in the area, definitely check them out.

when I got into that place. it was fine for asian place. i has variaty of food and snacks interesting to see. but when it comes to the service. it was so so. I bought sandwiches. i just wanted a cup of water but they charged for it.

37% price rise in just a few months, I guess I can understand, sandwiches are good, but the surrounding block is dangerous and full of drug addicts and homeless. Be careful coming here and the surrounding area.

I like their spring rolls vegetarian. Only issue is their sweet desserts are easy to go bad due to being out all day, refrigeration not cold enuff. Also selection of bang trang me is ok but they r being cheapy on the quantities in each item. For 1.99 u get four pcs to heat on ur stove.

There are a lot of choices. Chinese food is good .The Vietnam sandwiches is fresh but taste is not really good. For the sandwiches, hightly recommend the one called Saigon Sandwiches which is nearby.

This place was 95% empty and with no one shopping I thought the place was closed. The snail pastries were hard and stale. The Madelines were fresh and delicious. I will try going back another time soon.

Great, strong Vietnamese iced coffee. Hot baguettes available, but wish they were more salted. The baguettes are okay as part of sandwiches, but by themselves are very bland.

Ehhhh....fast spot to pick up a quick/cheap veitmanese sandwich? ...yes. to recommend to a friend?...No. I just so happen to be working near by and grabbed a quick bite for lunch since it was literally across the street. I've had several other veitmanese sandwiches around the City and this wouldn't be the first spot I would choose. Be careful in the neighborhood as bums and drug users tend to be nearby roughly all day long, and the street reeks of you know what. Take your chances and dont fo along if your walking to this spot.

Lee's has a ton of stuff for sale there, but you only come for the sandwiches and drinks. I've never been blown away by their tofu or veggie sandwiches (they veggie is weird and has crunchy junk in it), but it's good in a pinch and they have avocado smoothies.

I can't eat the BBQ pork. Way to spicy. The people are nice but you can't taste anything except a kick in the face. If you love spicey sandwich this is your go to but I don't.

Ordered #11 combination, my go-to. Sandwich was...edible but sad. Bread was the texture of cardboard. Staff was rude. Store was sparsely stocked and sad. Oakland location is superior in every way.

My port my sandwich was pretty good my pork bun was delicious however the pearls in my boba milk tea were likely a few days old very slimy and soft

I have been to Lee's Sandwiches at other locations and I have to say this one is terrible. The place was dirty and messy. It took them over thirty minutes to make a few sandwiches at the time when there were only a few customers. The bread was hard to chew! I would not recommend this place!

Service was terrible. Sandwich was worst. Steak and cheese had lots of wet lettuce and tiny piece of beef. Bread was a day old. Very hard. I will never go back.

They were closed. Haven't been downtown since pre-covid. Not sure if the place is permanently closed.
