So glad we stumbled upon this place. Easily some of the best viet food I’ve ever had! The scallops are a must! Perfect pit stop for a quick, casual, delicious Saturday lunch
The restaurant is clean and is in good location. Parking might be a little hard to find since it’s mostly street parking. Lots of delicious authentic Vietnamese dishes to choose from. Bánh Xèo is crispy on the outside and the taste is rich with the coconut milk. The filling is filled with shrimps, pork, bean sprouts, carrots and bamboo shoots. It is served with fresh greens along with delicious fish sauce that has the perfect balance of sweet and savory. I accidentally ordered fish soup instead of Ha Noi Rice Vermicelli and the manager was kind allowed me ro switch my dish. I minute she brought out the plate of Ha Noi Rice Vermicelli, I imagined as if I was on the streets of Vietnam. I can smell the authentic barbecue flavor and charcoal from the pork sausage and egg rolls. I love the way the pork sausages are soaked in fish sauce to absorb more flavor. It is served with rice noodles and fresh green herbs. They gave me an extra bowl to put a little of everything together. My first bite brought a smile and satisfaction to my face. It is Sooooo Deliciously Good! OMG it is just so flavorful. The seasonings is perfect and the fish sauce just balance everything so well. The egg roll is super crispy and not oily at all. They use a different type of wrapper, not your normal egg roll wrapper you find at the store. The fillings inside is juicy and flavorful. I will definitely go back and if you’re in San Francisco, wanting good authentic Vietnamese food, definitely go here! I don’t say this to many restaurants but this restaurant got me missing being on the streets of Vietnam eating delicious food and the smell of charcoal.
We were amazed by the food. The garlic noodle tastes so good and the beef is so tender and cooked really well. The Ha Noi Rice vermicelli is also good which is a plate you taste different kinds of food, the grilled patty and the pork skewers are delicious. Will definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to enjoy the fine Vietnamese food
So glad this restaurant opened. Hope it’s a success in the area. Lovely food, great service and attentive staff. The menu options are good, and being a vegetarian I love the wide range of both veggie and vegan options!! The vegan Mongolian beef is truly delicious!! Love the interior decoration. The manager was very friendly and accommodating when one of our party wanted to add broccoli to their dish. It is slightly more expensive than other places, but worth it ! Highly recommend!!
A lot of healthy options, flavor was just right, not too saucy. Their quantities are enormous, sharing works great. Need to buy rice or garlic noodles separately for entree, but an entree serves 1.5 in quantity. Definitely try the garlic noodles.
Exceptional Vietnamese food! Everything was super flavorful and made fresh. I love the interiors, you can tell that the owner put so much effort into the place!
Michelin Star - bun cha ha noi !!! Never had such a delicious Bun Cha Ha Noi. The Curry was also very good and fruity.
10/10 Inside is very clean and spacious but still offers a cozy setting. I had the Bun Bo Hue (Spicy beef noodle). It’s served with thicker noodle than traditional Pho. The portions are generous and the flavor is all there. I’ll be frequenting here more often as the weather gets colder.
Was looking for something new and cordon blue around the corner was super small and packed but luckily for us, Hoi An was not. Turns out this place is now going to be one of our go to places in the area. We found the decor aesthetically pleasing, it was elegant and inviting. The service got a lil bogged down, but after arriving it filled up quickly so im gonna give them a break. Seems like they do an amazing job for only 3 or 4 people working. The food is really good, we especially liked the imperial roll, we got both (imperial ad spring) normally only do the spring rolls but something said try the imperial and we were both glad we did! If you get the claypot (we did with the salmon) get rice or noodles. We did the garlic noodles, the Pho (with chicken) and they were both tasty and as expected. The other highlights were the wine bar, my passion fruit limeade (made with real lilikoi) and the bananas Foster. The manager/owner is attentive friendly with a interesting sense of humor. Definitely will be going back. Cant go wrong here very romantic setting.
If you are in San Francisco, you must visit Hoi An 1608 isThe breezy, stylish Vietnamese restaurant that’s been an instant hit in Nob Hill. And so far it’s been great. Amazing complex and wonderful people. Everything is clean and well kept. Management team is great. I experienced how fine-dining, indulgent my favorite appetizer "The Grilled Prawns" to the perfectly balanced of roasted peanuts and scallions. I love this place. THE VIBE IS laid-back and warm, despite the constant crowds. And once inside the converted, you’ll spy families and groups of friends all out for a big night, sharing a wonderful stories.
Very delicious pho. Ive been trying every restaurant around and this is one of the ones I came back to more than once. Delicious pho, reasonable prices, good sized portion, delicious broth and overall would continue to come back. This was probably one of the best asian/Vietnamese cuisine restaurants I’ve been to so far in this city.
Had a really delicious and flavorful vegan pho, packed with both tofu and vegan chicken. Really delicious and they brought me a ton of thai basil which is the best!!
Share with someone you want to experience this with! 🇻🇳✨🍽️ @hoian1608polk is the most beautiful Vietnamese restaurant we’ve ever been to. Service is so nice and it’s family owned and serves authentic Southern Vietnamese cuisine. We felt right at home with all these dishes and will be bringing our parents next time! What We Ordered: 🥞 Vietnamese Mini Pancakes (banh khot) 🥩 Shaking Beef with Noodles (bo luc lac voi mi) 🍛 Special Yellow Curry (cari) 🥬 Vegetarian Roll (goi cuon chay) 🍢 Lemongrass Pork Sausage Skewers (banh hoi nem nuong) ☕️ Vietnamese Coconut Ice Coffee 🍋🟩 Passion Fruit Limeade
Great food and a quiet serene atmosphere. Was looking for a good pho place and this popped up. Definitely recommend their pho, it’s fragrant and tasty, and their bun bo hue is great too. Also had to get their grilled minced pork lemongrass wrap. It is very flavorful and delicious. When I’m back in SF I’ll stop here again and recommend to friends.
My family of four, including both adults and a child, from Vietnam comes here to visit San Francisco, had a truly wonderful dining experience at this restaurant. Every bowl of Phở we tried was absolutely delicious, rich in flavor, and very satisfying. The shaking beef (bò lúc lắc) was exceptional — honestly the best we have ever had anywhere. The service was outstanding, warm, and attentive throughout our visit. The restaurant owner/manager, Mr. Thai, was especially impressive: he was extremely friendly and thoughtful, taking the time to recommend dishes that perfectly matched the preferences of each family member. We felt very well taken care of and would definitely come back and highly recommend this place to others.
Great service, beautiful presentation fresh delicious authentic Vietnamese dishes. Vegan choices available.

We got the beef pho and lemongrass pork skewer plate. The flavors were exquisite and portions were large. Very satisfying! Best Vietnamese food I’ve had in the US!

Hoi An has some of the best dishes I've tasted. My favorite was the shaking beef, which was incredibly tender and flavorful. It's got a great atmosphere with beautiful decor and makes a great spot to take a date.
I was craving Vietnamese food as soon as I landed in San Francisco and this place was very close to my hotel, the ambiance looked very nice and the menu seemed to have a lot of options! I was between the beef pho and their special yellow curry and decided to go with the pho, the soup was quite tasty but I wish there was more meat in the serving for the amount of soup that was served. Overall I do recommend the restaurant, but would keep in mind that it might be on the pricier end for this kind of food (about $30 per person)

We had a beef pho and caramelized catfish. The catfish’s excessively fishy taste suggested it was old. The beef pho was one note: hella salty. Prices were also super high - even for average food quality I wouldn’t have liked paying the menu price!
I can't rate the atmosphere as I ordered delivery and didn't dine in. Delivery wise it was a big fail. The instructions that I left on both items of the order were not followed which was frustrating but the entree was the worst part. They charged $45 for the special garlic noodle w/shaken beef. As you can see from the picture below it looks like there is no beef (filet mignon) at all so I initially complained and I began to take a photo and video so they could see the dish and upon taking the video and moving the bowl of potatoes and peppers around I found 3 (yes you heard me right) three thumb sized cubes of steak. So I paid $45 for a giant bowl of potatoes, onions, and red pepper swimming in oil. I would definitely not order takeout or delivery from them again.

Ordered takeout chicken pho and rice vermicelli bowls with pork. While the workers seemed friendly and the of the restaurant atmosphere looked nice, both things we got were shockingly bad. The chicken was quite dry and the pho broth tasted like very salty and low quality instant chicken broth bouillon - really not whats typical for a decent chicken pho. Most of the rice vermicelli bowl was decent, but the nuoc mam left much to be desired - it had a 1 dimensional and light flavor
Good food, but the waitress’s way of asking about the tip made me feel uncomfortable. Thank you for your response. However, instead of addressing my concern about the waitress’s behavior, your reply focused on the tip amount, which is disappointing. I understand the tipping culture in the U.S., but the issue was not about how much I tipped — it was about being made uncomfortable when the staff commented on it. A professional restaurant should value customer experience over defending such behavior. This is the fine line between being an upscale restaurant and just thinking you are one.
