Amazing food. Friendly staff. Prompt service. I would go back for sure, but maybe this time I'll skip dancing on the tables.. oh wait, that was.. um.. ya, wrong restaurant.
I can't believe I've never been here before, considering its central location. You'll notice immediately that it's a great space: front patio with lots of light and heat; parklet with roof and heat; indoor seating and the bar. The service is really friendly. They have a good selection of original cocktails. I tried the poke tostadas and crispy chicken sliders off the happy hour menu. I immensely enjoyed the food and drinks (can't remember the name of my cocktail) and I loved the atmosphere. You can also rent parts of the restaurant for private events. This is a fine setting for a date or group. I plan to go back to sample the rest of the menu.
“This place was amazing—not only was the food delicious, but the drinks were great too. All the staff were incredibly friendly, fast, and attentive, and they genuinely seemed happy to be there. The bathrooms were clean as well.” Overall great experience! They made our anniversary extra special!
Araya started us off with attentive and friendly approach, and Thomas came on shift half way through to banter about latitude and the history of Molort. All the staff were a delight to be around. We started with an “it ain’t me babe” and while I was skeptical with the amount of ingredients they mixed like a dream for a truly unique experience and one of a kind drink. . We went with the mushroom risotto and the braised beef, both of which had their own charm but the beef stood out as a dish to come back for. Of course we dabbled with fried chicken, a crispy a delicious side accommodation I would have been foolish not to indulge in. We finished the evening with the yuzu custard , that left a profound savory longing for each next bite. And I couldn’t get out the door without another of those gin drinks. What a gem!
I had forgotten how much I love this place until I came back and it was somehow even better than I remembered. We ordered the gochujang wings and they were seriously some of the best I’ve had. Perfectly crispy, sticky, spicy, and packed with flavor. The spinach miso mushroom linguine was another standout, rich, savory, with the perfect miso kick and crispy nori on top. So unique and absolutely delicious. I’ve been into celery based cocktails lately and their California Cooler was so refreshing. Bright, light, and perfectly balanced. The staff here is amazing. So friendly, welcoming, and incredibly knowledgeable about the menu. You can tell they genuinely care and love what they do, which makes the whole experience even better. The vibe is still undefeated. Whether it’s a date night, girls’ night, or a solo unwind moment, Horsefeather always delivers. Cozy interiors, great music, standout food and drinks. A total gem in SF. Can’t wait to come back again. This place never misses.
I came in from out of town and met a friend here for dinner. I had the lemon butter prawns with risotto, which was flavorful and right up my pescatarian alley (ge ne speaks for itself). My friend had the double cheeseburger that he also enjoyed and the fries were goox. For my drink, I had the Daywalker which was well balanced and the chipotle did not make it. Waiters/Bartenders were welcoming and had great recommendations (Araya and Ricky Minaj 😜). Thank you!
Visiting San Francisco and this was such a fun place to be! The drinks are delicious especially the summer drinks. My friend had the La Dolce Vita which was realllllllyyty reallllyyy good. I had the Sun Never Sets and baby! Strong but good. Overall, Sam was a delight and surprisingly being a general manager, he stopped and gave us recommendations for places to go try and eat based on what we were looking for. Overall, this was a great place to begin our tour of San Fran and made us feel welcome and excited to see the city!!
6/2/25 Update: Although we hadn't yet eaten at Horsefeather, my partner and I loved their cocktails and were long overdue to try their food. With my parents in town, we decided to give Horsefeather's food menu a try, and we were extremely impressed. As an appetizer, we all shared the Goat Cheese Artichoke Dip. For entrees, my mom got the Cobb Salad, my dad got the Spinach Miso Mushroom Linguine, my partner got the Jumbo Prawn tacos, and I got the Red Wine Braised Chuck Roast. I also tried the Desafinado spring/summer cocktail, while my partner tried the Sun Never Sets seasonal cocktail. The Desafinado cocktail was fantastic! It had a nice savoriness from the celery bitters and celery salt, as well as a nice umami finish with the cherry tomato and dehydrated tomato flavor. The Sun Never Sets was pretty good, although not as noteworthy. It was smooth and tasty, although tasted a little stronger of grapefruit and passion fruit than we were expecting, so the whiskey flavor was not very prominent. Shortly after we received our drinks, the Goat Cheese Artichoke Dip appetizer came out. We ordered this with extra bread, which really isn't needed as the plate came with a good serving of bread. The dip was fantastic, as it was still very hot from the oven and had a great spinach and artichoke flavor that paired beautifully with the goat cheese. Everyone loved their entrees! The Cobb Salad was nice and filling with my mom's addition of chicken, and the salad had a nice smoky and rich flavor from the bacon bits, which were distributed throughout nicely. My dad quietly consumed the linguine, and was super satisfied with the dish. My partner's jumbo prawn tacos were delicious as well, and the handmade tortilla held up well and provided great flavor in addition to the prawns and salsa. Finally, I really loved the Red Wine Braised Chuck Roast. The meat was fork tender and covered in the luscious braise sauce that paired very nicely with the mashed potatoes. Everyone said that it reminded them of a homemade dish, in the best way, as it was reminiscent of a pot roast or similar dish. All in all, we were very impressed and satisfied with the meal at Horsefeather. We already knew the cocktails and service at Horsefeather were amazing, and now know to come back for the tasty food options. Highly, highly recommend trying the food at Horsefeather if you're in the area, or if not! Original review: As a disclaimer, this review is only for Horsefeather's cocktails, as we have not yet tried their food. Although quite busy when we stopped by, we were able to grab seats at the bar since we were only ordering cocktails. I started with the Daywalker while my partner started with the Moonraker. Both drinks were absolutely fantastic! The Daywalker had a nice smoky, mango flavor, that came together beautifully with the tequila and other ingredients when I stirred in the foam. I was particularly impressed with how well composed the cocktail drank, given the different flavors from the various ingredients. As cafe de olla lovers, the Moonraker was our favorite coffee cocktail we've had so far, and the cinnamony essence of the cafe de olla elevated the flavor above an espresso martini. For our second drinks, I got the Golden Hour while my partner got the Breakfast Punch. Although still tasty, our second drinks did not quite live up to our expectations set by our first cocktails. The Golden Hour had a nice coconut and lime flavor, and was super quaffable and enjoyable, while the Breakfast Punch had a nice corn and cinnamony flavor, that definitely hit the Cinnamon Toast Crunch flavor they were going for. Overall, we still really loved the cocktails at Horsefeather, as our first round of cocktails were some of our favorites we've tried thus far in the city, and will definitely be back to try the rest of the menu.
I came here about a year ago for brunch and loved it so much I decided to come and try their dinner. We first started off with the zero-proof drinks. They have some really great cocktails but since we’re planning to drive back home, we opted for the zero-proof. I highly recommend their drinks, whether you want it with the alcohol or without! Apps were great but the star of the show for me was the two piece fried chicken. It comes with mac n cheese and esquites and it was divine! Overall, highly recommend this spot!
If you’re looking for a cute place to get brunch in the city, this is the right spot! Food was amazing and so unique. We got the waffles & chicken with matcha buttercream and matcha syrup, duck fat fries, and roasted tomatoes avocado toast. We went around 2:00p so there were plenty of seatings but you can also make a reservation in advance.
Looking for a new a new brunch spot? @horsefeather is a hidden gem you don’t want to miss out on! This casual neighborhood cocktail gathering place is perfect for a great time with friends and family. They have indoor and outdoor seating, amazing service, great cocktails, and of course delicious food 😋 The staring the show for us were the duck fat fries. So crispy and so much flavor! Everything was presented beautifully and taste just as good as it looks. Definitely will be coming back for more soon 😍 What We Ordered: Duck Fat Fries 🍟 Gochujang Crispy Wings 🍗 Smoked Tuna Tartine 🥑 Katsu Sando 🥪 Chilaquiles 🍳 HF Loco Moco🥚
Really loved my brunch experience here! Food was absolutely delicious and I really enjoyed their katsu sando, smoked tuna tartine, and loco moco! Didn't expect a spot like this on Divis to have Asian fusion but the flavors were 10/10 Their outdoor patio is filled with greenery and great lighting for pictures. Can't wait to come back to check out their dinner menu!
One of my favorite brunch spots in SF! I've visited a few times for brunch on the weekend and have always had a great experience. The restaurant is beautiful, and the food and service are excellent! I really like their brunch menu. My favorite items to order are: Grilled Steak Burrito: caramelized onions & peppers, eggs, avocado, creme fraiche, salsa cruda, jack cheese Gochujang Crispy Wings: fermented chili, honey, sesame oil, ranch The burrito is HUGE and tastes great with the guacamole. It's so big that I'm pretty much full after eating it! I also love the flavor of their Gochujang crispy wings, which is a dish my friends and I often order to share at our table. Definitely a great spot for brunch with friends/family!
We came to Horsefeather for one of our first dates and have returned many times since. We love the ambiance, and the Duck Fat Fries are one of our favorites. We stopped by on a Monday night and the restaurant was pretty busy, so we waited about 15 minutes for a table, which wasn’t bad at all. The host was very friendly and even offered for us to wait inside and order a cocktail while we waited. For dinner we ordered the Duck Fat Fries, Gochujang Crispy Wings, the hamburger, and the tres leches dessert. We loved everything except the dessert. Unfortunately, the cake was very dry and tasted like it had been sitting out for a few days. It felt like some milk was poured on top and that was it, which was disappointing. We also noticed that after our server took our order, we didn’t really see anyone come back to check on us. We understand it was a busy night, but a quick check-in would have been nice. We’ve had great service here in the past and the food is usually delicious, which is why we keep coming back, but this visit wasn’t the best experience.
me and my friend enjoyed dinning at horsefeather! we were at the restaurant for 3.5 hours!! we’ve been chatting nonstop while enjoying the delicious food. Our server was really nice that she gave us our space and came to check in with us when they saw the right timing, and not to cut into our chat, we appreciate that! The food was amazing, we had the appetizer which was not on the menu - fries, and the cheeseburger & the chicken waffles. we love each dish we ordered!!
i loved horsefeather! the bartender was friendly and attentive and helpful in helping us decide what drinks we wanted. the ambiance was beautiful and lovely and the food was also pretty good! not a lot (like expected) but had like 1-2 vegan things. we tried the cauliflower and my friend got the sandwich and liked them. drinks were also yum
My first time at horsefeather was all alright! we made a reservation but still waited to be seat. It was a busy night for sure. My mom had the short rib and she liked it. I had the two piece chicken, I wish had more of the sauce because some parts lacked flavor, i was expecting a bit more of the mac n cheese but the corn was really good. The burger was good according to my bf but the bread a bit soggy. The best part was for sure the appetizer the duck fries were amazing, the artichoke dip was so good. The drinks were alright. I enjoyed mine, the day walker. For a party of 6 they had an automatic 20% tip. Overall food was good just wish the service was bit faster because we waited quiet a bit even to get a check.
Very cute vibes, definitely a great place to come with a group. I came here for brunch with friends. We shared the duck fat fries and gochujang wings and everyone got their own thing. I thought the apps were okay but not something you must order. I got the katsu sando and really liked it. It’s very different from what you get in Japan but I think they executed well on the flavours. Portions sizes for the mains were generous and everything was well presented!
Came here for my birthday as I heard positive reviews. As I got to the venue I realized I had reserved the outdoor seating which was not what I had in mind. Upon arrival I immediately asked to be put on the list for indoor seating, and the host was not friendly and said it would take an hour or more and did not even put down my details. It seemed like he was just trying to deter me from sitting inside. Service was very slow sitting outside and not welcoming. The ceviche, tacos and saffron risotto were very mediocre. The wings, burger and fries were great however. I received no special birthday dessert or celebration even though I mentioned it in my reservation. I then ordered the lava cake but it was burnt on one side and too molten (runny)on the other. Was a very disappointing experience, considering it was close to $100pp. I am a big foodie and definitely would not recommend this place to others.
