Opinions de Bus Stop Pizza San Francisco
Fast and yummy pizza 🍕! Great prices and the crust was amazing! Owner talked to us while we ate. Super nice man who has owned the business over 30 years! Stopping and grab some pizza!
Great pizza with crisp crust and nice flavor, at an amazing price! Haven’t seen a $4 slice elsewhere in maybe years? Seems pretty unbeatable in 2025. The owner is also really nice. Will be back.
Not sure how many slices I’ve had over the 15+ years I’ve been coming to Bus Stop but each one has been so good! Good quality solid slice every time. The crust is thin and crisp, the sauce is flavorful, the cheese is so melty. My favorite is the mushroom sausage!
Solid, simple slice. Feel like this place should be rated higher so giving 5 stars.
I love this pizza place! We’ve gone multiple times. We’ve either grabbed slices, or ordered some of their pies. Plain cheese can’t be beat. They have the best pizza in the city, in my opinion: 1. Great crispy crust, on the breadier side, but that just makes it crispy outside and soft inside 2. Perfect amount of sauce! Most places don’t put enough sauce for my taste. 3. Delicious sauce, slightly sweet! 4. The cheese! So much cheese! So melty and good 5. Very consistent with quality and flavor 6. The price CANNOT be beaten in the city. It’s not a high end place, or high end fancy pizza, but they have what I call an omg good comfort pizza, which is the best kind! And the owners are the sweetest. Give it a try! :)
Went for a quick slice. I make a lot of pizza, and this is pretty much as good as pizzerias get. But I need a lot of sauce, which they were happy to add on top for me.
I walked by and this placed smelled really good, so i had to try. Slices are delicious. Dough is so soft and enjoyable, cheese was perfect. Never had a slice quite like this one, i was very impressed. Worth checking out.
Great hole in the wall pizza joint. The owners are really friendly, and the pizza is always delicious. It's very homey feeling, they always recognize our order halfway through as we are ordering it on the phone. Order times are accurate and the pizza is consistent! Their ranch is good too if you enjoy dipping pizza in it, like a true American.
Normal, regular pizza place in the best way. Good pizza. Nothing fancy. If I want a pepperoni pizza how you remember it, this is a great place to go People working there are very friendly and nice too!
I am not qualified to review the authenticity of Indian or Thai or many other types of cuisines. But NY-style pizza by the slice is one of the few dishes on which I have substantial experience and expertise. If you are looking for a gourmet pizza, keep walking. If you want cilantro and basil and garlic and other fresh, organic ingredients keep walking. You are not the target customer nor is gourmet pizza the intended product to deliver. What do they serve then? Legitimately good cheese (or 1-2 simple topping) pizza by the slice. Soft yet crispy crust that re-heats exceptionally well. Apt mix of quality sauce and cheese. I've been blitzed, smashed, high, and stone sober eating here and every time it has delivered on its simple promise. To top it off they have super friendly service at all hours of the day and always round prices to the nearest quarter so I'm not stuck with a pocket full of pennies.
I’ve been getting my pizza here since I lived on Page, back in the 80s. I loved their sauce then, and it’s as fabulous as ever! The owners are super nice. The only place I get pizza, still (and I’ve moved all the way to...Noe Valley). Give them a try.
Owner operated. A real member of the community. Very friendly. Also a popular place for late nighters. I am pretty picky about real pizza, and this is it. No designer pizza for me. Many question the limited hours, but my impression is the owner likes to maintain control over the product. No staff through a rotating door.

On our way to The Page a few doors down on the corner, we stopped in and ordered a few slices of pizza. The service was quick, the price more than fair and overall, no complaints. Is it the best pizza you've ever had? - no, but did it hit the spot before a few beers - absolutely!
Not bad pizza! Walked by this place ones and the Name caught My eye, Knew right then what it referred too. Especially when I saw the poster! Kinda weird and Goofy that they Named it that, But I get it Considering there is a Bus stop Nearby. Was quite surprised on the price! Even For a Medium pizza, But I get it Considering they have to Make Money too. Knowing that this is a Ma and Pa business! And unfortunately these kind oF businesses don’t really exist anymore, so it’s good to see that something Like this still exists. Will definitely be back sometime again! Just Not right away.
Best pizza Ive had hands down. I love everything garlic and this place make sure you taste it. I always get the hot meat eaters pizza. So good, so garlicky just enough sauce not one thing bad about it. With plenty of meat and veggies medium size is actually big enough to fill my fat self. One thing to note, there garlic sauces is basically garlic ranch. So if you are thinking the usual garlic dip you will be surprised.
Good, made right there. Liked my cheese and pepperoni slices.
Solid! Mom & pop pizza shop vibes. Very appropriately priced $4 Cheese Slices. Pretty good slices, not amazing but very appropriate at the $4 price point

Pizza by the slice is cheese and they throw toppings on it then heat it up. Pizza is fine. More of a drunk food option.

Guy refused to serve me 20 mins before closing. If you’re closed, close your door. Don’t let me walk in then just bark “no” at me.
Is unfortunate that I have to give this place such a negative review only because the people that work there were very nice to me, but the pizza was horrible. I ordered the "Fresh Tomatoes, Feta Cheese, Cilantro & Garlic" the crust was very dense and under cooked. the sauce tasted like low quality marinara cut witch ketchup and unseasoned. it had very little flavorless feta. the cilantro was heavy handed, overcooked and bitter. the garlic was also bitter and tasted past its prime, probably because it was starting to sprout and they decided use the whole thing anyway. this place need to rekindle their love for food and step up their game.

So I remember using bus stop pizza as a kids for a few years. I called up and ordered a pizza gave my address and my cross street Buchanan St & Golden Gate Ave the woman over the phone says " I will call you to come outside to the car" So I said "what do you mean come to the car it's called delivery deliver it to my door" so she says "No because it's not the best area" REALLY WOW well I will NOT patronize your business and I will be writing a review about THIS!! How dare you my money is just as good as anybody else's and if you choose NOT to deliver in Western Addition District well that's your lost. I'm ordering from EXTREME PIZZA ON FILLMORE STREET in my neighborhood where I am born and raised!!!!
