Opinions de Paula's Cafe San Francisco
I ordered the Chilaquiles Rancheros with chicken. Absolutely amazing. The chips have a wonderful crunch and flavor. The chicken perfectly crisp and juicy. A masterful display of culture.
This was the best breakfast ever! The pear and blueberries were an awesome surprise! The fruit was fresh and lovey. H There was a fruit syrupy kinda natural purée style sauce. It was tart and fresh ans lovely. With the whipped cream it was outstanding. GREAT pancakes. The chicken sausage was delicious. Cooked to perfection. Potatoes crispy and well seasoned! Eggs silky cheesy delight. Everything on the menu looked good. Loved the latte. Cant wait to go back! :)
Overall pleasant experience & cozy spot for brunch when you're looking for more than the typical eggs & pancakes. I enjoyed the birriaquilles and sitting at the window while appreciating the people watching.
I have been here multiple times and omg! I love it. The food is excellent and the service here is amazing. I’ve tired several different dishes like the lomo saltado, plato caribeño, pupusas, etc. The deserts are also a must! Even the coffee, my favorite has to be the horchata latte. I would definitely recommend this place! 😋♥️
Fantastic. If you put something on a menu called “Birriaquiles” there’s a 100% chance I’m ordering it, and it very much delivered.
Move over Paula Dean cause there’s a new Paula in town who knows how to make a delicious dish way better than you sugars. This place is SO good and we had a group of 8 for lunch. No lines full of lulu and scarves, just a hidden gem that we loved. Get here before it’s taken over. My new favorite spot for brunch.
The BEST breakfast I've had in a long time. Fresh squeezed orange juice, perfectly seasoned breakfast potatoes, and delicious horchata. We will definitely be back!
Wish I could give more than 5 stars! La mejor comida en SF!! I ordered the huevos con chorizo, and it was the best thing I’ve eaten here. Perfect if you love savory breakfasts. My friend got the breakfast burrito and said it was amazing, too. The orange juice is freshly made and the mangonada smoothie was the perfect consistency (and refreshing). We also got the horchata latte (iced) — holy cow, it was delicious. Sweet but not overwhelming. If you like coffee with cream you should get it.
The service was outstanding and the food absolutely delicious! I highly recommend trying the chilaquiles and mimosas—they were both exceptional!
really nice staff and i enjoyed my breakfast! i’d come back for the smoothie alone - super refreshing.
GOOD SEASONING & TASTE First time walking in I had a great time eating delicious food this restaurant. The waiters and waitresses were committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and I definitely liked that you have a very modern style. Most important the food here is to die for, great authentic Latino/ American food! Definitely won a customer for life!
I don’t know what I did with myself before I found Paula’s. The breakfast burritos are the perfect comfort food, with unmatched variety by any other spot. Every other plate I try also always impresses me! Thanks to the staff for all their great work nourishing SF
Reasonably priced French Toast with not too sweet syrup. I liked it, though I would appreciate a little more fruit on the plate :) Service was quick and friendly. They had ample seating both inside and outside at 11 am on Sunday
Cozy cafe with soft Spanish music on the background. Friendly staff with timely service. Had the Two eggs your way one with breakfast potatoes and the other dish with French toast. French toast was topped with fresh fruit. The food was good but their Horchata-Espresso was amazing!
absolutely delicious food, super friendly people, and a great environment. definitely will be back to try more of their menu!

Paula’s Cafe is a cozy little spot in Lower Haigh with a warm, welcoming vibe and super comfy booths. Their Birria Chilaquiles are amazing—crispy tortilla chips and melted cheese soaked in flavorful birria sauce, with tender beef, over-easy eggs, fresh avocado slices, and some tangy pickled onions. The mix of flavors and textures is spot on, no need for any additional seasonings or fixings, making it a dish you won’t want to miss. If you’re after a laid-back, hand-crafted, elevated Mexican brunch, this place is definitely worth checking out.

Had the breakfast burrito this morning! The burrito was evenly proportioned with eggs and potatoes. Came with enchilada sauce (salsa roja) for dipping , which made it all the more delicious! Good food at a reasonable price, friendly staff and low key spot, just my type!
Great neighborhood spot. The Paula burrito is delicious. Portion sizes & price are good. They currently have a breakfast special that includes a free coffee! Staff is very nice too
It was our first time in San Francisco, and we decided to stop by Paula’s Café for breakfast. It turned out to be a great decision — the food was delicious, and the service was excellent. I’d definitely recommend this place!

I love birrias tacos and I love chilaquiles, so I couldn't miss trying their birriaquiles. I got that and the horchata latte for breakfast. The birriaquiles were pretty good and the latte was alright but a bit too sweet for me. Mostly docking stars here though since I'm not used to SF prices. The whole meal cost about $40 (including tip). I'm glad to have tried this place and the food was good, but I don't know if I'd pay $40 for this kinda meal again.

I ordered the breakfast burrito with bacon and it was very disappointing. This is a scramble burrito. All the ingredients, eggs, bacon, potatoes, and cheese are cooked together and the results aren’t very good. Everything kinda tastes like bacon, salty and smokey. Can’t taste the eggs or cheese. Potatoes pieces are big and taste like bacon on the outside and nothing on the inside. Sadly bacon isn’t crisp and has the texture of ham. The burrito is too salty for my taste, maybe the bacon. Salsa is not for me either. Definitely needs something with a bite to cut through all this salty, bacon flavored filling. I like breakfast burrito’s where the ingredients are cooked separately, with crispy bacon, and there is a variety of flavors and textures in every bite. This ain’t it. Not even close.
Service is slow: the restaurant is half full at 1:30pm but service is very slow. I ordered an omelette and it took 30mins Food is okay. Very oily very salty omelet. Chicken sausage too deep fried. My stomach didn’t feel good afterwards
