OK - Let me start with this... Before you even finish stepping through the door, the smell of fresh bread and garlic, and coffee and pies wraps around your heart and pulls you into the store. The front of the store has a space that is bright and inviting, warm and cozy, full of liquors and wines, Italian delicacies, and desserts. As you follow your nose to the deli, the deli case was full of yummy meats and cheeses with fresh breads lining the wall behind it. The veggies...ugghh... steeping in the spicy, aromatic brines sit front and center waiting to be put into little containers and passed to you over the counter. BTW - the marinated artichokes... so amazing! I highly recommend wrapping a slice of artichoke in prosciutto! The sandwiches we ordered were top notch - I can totally see how this deli was rated as 1 of 18 of the top sandwiches in the USA! And the owner - such a nice man. He was friendly and kind and inviting. The staff were attentive and committed to their craft. 5 Stars!! Kudos! If you get the chance, get there - follow your nose, then follow your gut! Sample everything you can - You won't regret it!

I overheard a couple of local firemen talking about how great everything is at Limoncello, Limoncello this and Limoncello that...So, I leaned back and asked "What is this mystic place you two hold such high regard for?" Limoncello...he said, it's about the best Delicatessen in the world...Well, SF for sure. So, I went and had an amazing sando! 5 ☆☆☆☆☆ and they didn't even try hard!

Rosita was the nicest person to talk to! I came in before a doctors appointment to grab a drink and had to come back afterwards to get a sandwich and cannolis. They have coffees, tea, juices, + the freshest meats, cheeses, fruits, salads, and so much more. The sandwich was so delicious & I have so much left over I'm saving it for dinner. Thank you to all the workers for the delicious food, fast service, and amazing atmosphere. I definitely want to become a returning customer! Purchased a Siciliano Sandwich ( 15.95 ) and a 12 pack of mini cannolis ( 26.00 )

I’d walk a thousand miles for this sandwich. Every time I come to this place. By far, the best sandwich you will get in the city. The bread is fresh. The meats are fresh. The owner is the bright spot of the deli. My last time I was in the deli, I over heard him telling the staff to be the best part of the customers day. I highly encourage you to visit Limoncello. The spicy Mafioso is my favorite. So is the goodfella. You will not be disappointed. Do not forget the pastries. They are out of this world as well. Yes I took a bite. I couldn’t wait… 🤷🏾‍♂️

Was getting a tire fixed close by and walked in to get the mortadella sandwich. Neopalitana? Which the sandwich was on point and perfect. Also it was made quite quickly. Sat outside and the owner I would assume asked me how it was. Great place and sorry I forgot to take a picture of the sandwich :) Give it a try you won't be dissapointed.

Simple flavoring with a trio of cured meats, balsamic vinegar and mozzarella cheese; plus a generous layer of greens, and you get a delicious sandwich - enter the Speciale! Would love to try the Calabrese next time, it has just the hot coppa but with seemingly more meat overall!

My favorite sandwich shop in the city!! There are so many good options. The Caprese and The Goodfella are wonderful. Finally, you have to get a cannoli!!

I had "The Americano" corned beef sandwich with extra meat for an additional three dollars… Quite honestly the best sandwich I’ve had in years. I wish I lived in San Francisco, because if I did, I would come here all the time. The food was fantastic.

We got 4 different sandwiches to share and they were all soooooo goooodddd! We got the Goodfella, The Milanese, The Siciliano, and The Porchetta. Also got the potato salad, and the Lemoncello mascarpone cake, the Napoleon for dessert! (We got so much food just for two people, lol) but it was worth it! Ingredients were fresh and tasty! Bread, meat, and veggie ratio was perfect! Staff was friendly and kind. Would go back to try all the other sandwiches and desserts!

Incredible sandwiches, the Italian ambiance is very authentic and the staff was beyond kind and welcoming. 10/10 recommend to anyone staying in the area, the prices are very reasonable given the portion sizes and quality of food.

I love the vibe! Best customer service, cool vibe, and you will have lots of options for the type delicious sandwich you are looking for! I got the Pastrami sandwich and it was out of this world. In addition, it has a small shop right next to it for buying some drink or grocery you need. Totally recommended.

Was exploring Union Square area when I found this cute, not-so-little Italian Bakery. I had 2 hours to kill before my dinner so dived in for a quick bite here. The menu had good selection of s'wiches, Pastas (pre-made) and some Salad. I went for their no.17 (Grilled Chicken sandwich). Came out fairly quick and was good though I wish it had a bit more flavor to it. It's a good little mini-mart of Italian food products - perfect if you're craving Italian & want to grab a quick meal.

It's an Italian market place with great selection of drinks, cooking ingredients, desserts, sweets, and deli shop. There is a coffee shop in the middle for coffee drinks and pastries. Deli shop makes great sandwiches, pizza and pastas. Great place for a quick bite and exotic shopping! There are limited indoor and few tables outdoor seating. Good for kids, seniors, small gathering. I'll stop by again for sure for Italian Mortadella sandwich!
