The food here is delicious & I very much appreciate the kindness of the staff. The fact that they make fresh refried beans makes a difference in flavor. The chicken is very mosit. I completely devour the enchiladas everytime. They have many small options that make all the difference when enjoying mexican food. When I order a plate it come with all the goodies, salsa, guacamole, pickled jalapeños, lettuce. Etc. This is my favorite Mexican spot only a block away from my home. Thank you guys for all you do!! Keep it up!

My walk to this restaurant to pick up my burrito was scary, but I survived and the burrito was worth it. Marcela's Taqueria has multiple veggie burrito options. I went with El Bob's Burrito— steamed vegetables, rice and your choice of beans. Delicious and nice big portions!

This is my go-to taqueria in the Union Square area. The staff is nice and the food is always good. The baby burrito is just the right size for me.

I work across the street from this tiny taqueria. I get lunch here every week multiple times a week. I eat burritos so often at so many different spots around the city BUT the regular burrito, al pastor, spicy pico, refried beans from Marcelas is the best I've had. You know it's good when the construction team is in there every day during lunch. The red and green salsas are some of the best i've had in the city as well. If you care about burritos, you like hole-in-the-wall spots that haven't been doxxed by tiktok in a neighborhood that Fox news is terrified of bc they're cowards, you need this burrito.

Food is awesome! Tried al pastor taco, sopa, taquito and steak taco. Everything was really delicious and fresh (except chips seemed a bit stale). Fresh yummy guac and salsas too. Ordered delivery from an app and it came packaged really well too.

I ate at this place every day for a week straight. The food was so good I almost bit my knuckles off. The people there are so nice behind the counter, if you desire great authentic Mexican food this is your spot.

There’s no alcohol on the menu, but honestly, you won’t miss it. The food is the real star here. Everything tasted homemade, fresh, and full of love — the kind of cooking that’s good for the soul. You can tell this is authentic Mexican food, made with care and tradition. The lady who helped us (maybe Marcela herself?) and a young boy who assisted her were incredibly warm and kind. Their hospitality made the experience even more memorable. Marcela’s Taquería isn’t just a place to eat — it’s a little slice of home. If you’re looking for a quiet, heartfelt meal with flavors that speak for themselves, this spot is absolutely worth a visit.

Authentic as it gets. Fresh home made ingredients prepared on site. We had the breakfast burrito and breakfast tacos. Small, four tables only, so best plan on a take away. If you're lucky enough to score a table,you'll experience the kind of service many places only wish they had. You Will Not be Disappointed! We will go back next time we're in town.

Wow! It was highlight on my trip to SF. Had a take a way order of 2 beef enchiladas with rice, salsa, guacamole and sour cream. Everything in the plate was just amazing. The lady at the counter was super helpful and polite. Unfortunately I was only there for a night but I am willing to eat their food every night! Definitely visiting again whenever I get a chance!

The ingredients tasted very fresh, the salsas and guacamole are delicious also. The service was great but the seating is very compact and limited to about 4 single tables. My only complaint it that the aquas frescas are pre made served in containers and the tortillas were cold which could have been cooked a lot longer. Other than that they have a great variety of things to chose from on the menu

Great place to get a California style Burrito baby!!

I thought my lunch was going to be delicious. My friend went yesterday to get burritos and chicken with rice for the kids. I saved my burrito for today. When I opened the burrito, it only had a bunch of beans and rice. They put leftover chicken on it, and the same thing on my daughter's plate. It's not fair as customers.
