My friends and I drove all the way from San Diego for an authentic Georgian experience — and it was absolutely worth it. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The atmosphere, ambiance, service, and of course the food left a lasting impression on us. We loved every single dish we ordered — khinkali, mxali, khachapuri, and the desserts were simply outstanding. The flavors were incredible and the presentation was beautiful. We will definitely be back. Highly recommend!

Amazing food. It tasted so fresh. One of the beast meals I’ve had in a long time. I got the lamb shank, the dips and the cocktail with tarragon, it was very refreshing.

DEDA is an absolute gem! The food was incredible full of authentic Georgian flavor. The khachapuri was especially delicious, fresh, and cheesy, just like it should be. We also loved the warm, welcoming service the staff made us feel right at home. Everything from the atmosphere to the presentation was top-notch. Highly recommend if you’re looking to experience true Georgian cuisine!

If you’ve never tried Georgian cuisine, you’ve missed out on something incredible. This isn’t just food it’s a flavor experience ranked among the world’s top 5 cuisines: juicy khinkali, cheese‑filled khachapuri, aromatic meats, and desserts you’ll dream about long after. This restaurant is the perfect place to discover the true taste of Georgia for the first time. A must‑try one bite, and you’ll fall in love 🇬🇪🇬🇪🇬🇪

Wife and I went to Deda… a great experience. We tried some of their alcoholic beverages, plenty of choices and servers help you match it with the food. The dumplings (fried, 5 cheese and 5 beef) and khachapuri were both delicious. We also had the pork mtsvadi.. delicious barbecued-kabob-style pork chunks. My first time trying a Georgian restaurant… their staff was friendly and attentive without being pushy. They were patient and informative without being condescending. The vibe of the place was relaxing, warm and fun, making it an ideal location to relax and enjoy an evening. If you’re looking for something new to try and have menu anxiety, I recommend this place.

If happiness could be served on a plate, it would definitely be at Deda Restaurant in Pasadena 😄 This is a place where Georgian cuisine isn't just delicious—it's a true hug! The khachapuri is so good you'll want to give them a standing ovation, the khinkali is an art form in itself (and a test of willpower not to order another ten), and the aroma of spices creates a truly homey atmosphere. At Deda, you feel not like a guest, but like a beloved relative who's been long-awaited and finally been well-fed. It's cozy, warm, and incredibly delicious—you'll leave full, happy, and already planning your next visit. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to experience real Georgia in the heart of Pasadena! 🇬🇪✨

First of all – amazing!! The khinkali was out of this world, honestly the best khinkali I’ve had in California. We also had the warm eggplant salad, megruli khachapuri, and mtsvadi. everything was 10/10. The service was super fast, the staff were really friendly, and the whole atmosphere was so nice and welcoming. The cocktails are a must try too! The Dediko cocktail was so refreshing and delicious.

🇬🇪Georgia, the oldest known winemaking region in the world, and we finally are blessed with a beautiful and authentic Georgian restaurant in Los Angeles! The hospitality, food, music, and wine selection are all excellent. I fell in love with their kharcho in khinkali and couldn’t resist leaving with a gorgeous bottle of Kahetian Kindzmarauli wine from their wine cellar.

We visited a newly opened Georgian restaurant today, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere felt warm, inviting, and full of charm. The interior is beautifully designed, creating a cozy yet vibrant setting that makes you want to stay and enjoy every moment. The food was simply outstanding — incredibly flavorful, fresh, and perfectly prepared. Every dish we tried was rich in authentic Georgian taste and made with great attention to detail. You can truly feel the passion behind the kitchen. A special thank you to Fabio and Petr for their exceptional service. They were very attentive, friendly, and professional, making sure we felt comfortable and well taken care of throughout the evening. Their warm attitude and thoughtful recommendations made our visit even more enjoyable. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for delicious food and a fantastic atmosphere!

When I walked into Deda, tears rolled down my face uncontrollably. The warmth, the smells, and the atmosphere reminded me of precious moments with my Georgian daddy. It felt like stepping straight into my family home. The food was not just delicious, it was soulful. Every bite carried love, history, and memories. For me, it wasn’t simply going out to eat; it was bringing my husband into the heart of my home, into the warmth of my Georgian roots. The interior is beautiful, modern yet deeply authentic, and it makes you feel both comfortable and proud. Deda is more than a restaurant; it’s a place where food meets memory and where your heart feels at home❤️

Loved everything! Highly recommend to try their cheese bread with an egg, sooo delicious! As well as hinkali with beef! For dessert we got napoleon, and if you grew up with it, it tastes like home! If not, it's a dessert you won't want to skip!

This was my first time at a Georgian restaurant, and the food was delicious. I've always wanted to try Adjarian khachapuri – and it was amazing. I highly recommend it. We celebrated my friend's birthday there – she was thrilled with the food, wine, and dessert. I recommend it to everyone.

A wonderful dining experience. There’s nothing I love more than experiencing a new culture through its food and people, and Deda delivers with both. Our waiter Nova made us feel incredibly welcome, and made excellent recommendations. My wife and I are now fans of Georgian food. We will definitely be coming back. Food is excellent. Drinks are excellent. Staff are excellent.

Absolute wonderful addition to Lake Ave. This Georgian restaurant offers delicious and authentic dishes in a gorgeous atmosphere with incredible service. We tried the Khinkali Kalakuri, which are huge soup dumplings with wagyu beef, and were the most popular dish. The eggplant salad was super tasty, and the lamb was also delicious. They prioritize the overall dining experience, so reservations fully booked very quickly so if you want in you will likely only get seating at the bar. The interior is one of the most aesthetic I have seen.

I’ve visited Deda restaurant three times, and each of the time the food was absolutely delicious! Rich, flavourful and perfectly cooked food! Also I really enjoyed the atmosphere. It feels just like home, very relaxing and friendly. The best “khinkali” and “khachapuri” ever! I highly recommend Deda for anyone craving authentic Georgian cuisine in a warm and inviting setting and I definitely will be coming back to this place!

Absolutely exceptional. I’ve had great meals before, but this was on another level — some dishes literally gave me goosebumps. Every bite was rich with authentic Georgian flavors, beautifully balanced, and clearly made with love. The atmosphere felt warm and inviting, and the service matched the quality of the food.

Deda is hands down one of the best dining experiences I’ve had in Pasadena. From the moment you walk in, the atmosphere pulls you in — warm lighting, stylish decor, and a lively yet comfortable vibe. The service was friendly, attentive, and made us feel truly welcome. The food? Absolutely unforgettable. The khinkali dumplings were perfect — juicy, flavorful, and made fresh. The khachapuri was soft, cheesy, and baked to perfection. The Satsivi (chicken in walnut sauce) was rich, creamy, and bursting with authentic Georgian flavors, and the fresh bread with dipping sauce was the ideal start to the meal. Every bite felt like a trip to Georgia. They also have a fantastic drink selection, including authentic Georgian mineral water and wines. Sitting at the bar watching the open kitchen and the skilled staff in action made the experience even better. If you want amazing food, great ambiance, and a real taste of Georgian hospitality, Deda is a must-visit. Can’t wait to come back!

the best Georgian restaurant I’ve tried for many years. The best one I can remember is in New York big props to the owners you did an amazing job with the construction. The service in the food is phenomenal. I will definitely come here bring my non-Georgian friends and family. The cheese jinkali, the meat and the desserts are amazing and everything in between 🇬🇪👏❤️

Food was sooo delicious for a fair price! Also we loved the atmosphere! You can tell right away that the owners are not Americans, if you know what I mean! Also our server Nova was amazing, that’s one of the best services I’ve had for the past several years and we dine at the restaurants quite often ! Can’t wait to be back! Another thing that I liked is girls coming up to the table offering to take a picture and selling it for only $20 with frame included! What a nice memory to have

Phenomenal dining. The food was perfectly seasoned, meats were juicy and flavorful not salty. Bold flavors. You can’t go wrong with anything order. If you love flavor and juicy meats the mains are a must try. The grilled are also juicy, but not as fall off the bone as the mains. It was nostalgic to see the Medoki as their new dessert, a Russian creation filled with warmth and sweetness, I have missed it for over a decade. The Staff was on point on everything. Very respectful, precise, straightforward and friendly. We had a great date night. I will say, it is more fun with a large family. For my dog parents, they have an atrium type patio, so I wouldn’t bring dogs. I don’t believe they are allowed but worth a call. Valet is $15 and lot next door has 2hr complimentary parking.

We had an amazing experience at Deda Georgian Restaurant. This was my husband’s second visit and our first time coming as a family, and it exceeded expectations. The restaurant is beautiful—new, tastefully designed, and warm, with an authentic Georgian feel. Coming from Georgian roots, we were excited to share this with family, and it truly felt like home. Parking was easy with a structure right next door, plus street parking. The hosts and staff were incredibly welcoming and accommodating, especially with our stroller and baby. Our waiter, Nova, was exceptional—friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely made the whole experience special. Because of him alone, we’ll definitely be back. We ordered a lot, and every single dish was outstanding—fresh, flavorful, and authentic. Highlights included the Georgian salad, mezze platter, cheese board, Adjaruli and Imeruli khachapuri, puri bread, lemon chicken mtsvadi, pork mtsvadi with perfectly roasted potatoes and sauce, and the beef khinkali, which were beautifully made and delicious. Portions were generous and perfect for sharing. The wine selection was excellent—we especially loved the Saperavi—and the specialty drinks were just as impressive. Everything from the food to the ambiance to the service was spot on. We had such a great time and can’t wait to come back and bring more family and friends. Highly recommend for anyone looking for authentic Georgian cuisine done right.

This cozy little spot is serving up authentic Georgian cuisine that’ll make you question every other comfort food in your life. It was our first Georgian meal ever, and now we’re emotionally attached to khachapuri. Everything was ridiculously good, like, “how is this not illegal” good. The vibe? Warm, welcoming, and just the right amount of buzz. There’s a sunny patio, a chill bar area, and even a private dining room if you want to impress your friends with your sophisticated world-food knowledge. Bonus points: two hours of free parking in the back (a rare and precious gift from the Pasadena gods). Beautiful restaurant. I loved the decor, and the atmosphere, the what I assume is Georgian music, beautiful setting. The good was delicious too, we ordered appetizers and mains and the people were such that we could not finish and had to take food home with us. The smoked salmon ajarski was great. They only offer it for brunch, but what a great idea! It tasted delicious. And the service was impeccable. The good did not come all at the same time. The server warned us in advance that plates would be coming as they come out from the kitchen, so don't from our party started eating while others were still waiting for their food. I feel this would have been awkward and a big negative had the easier not told us in advance. Overall, Deda is on the pricey side, but I still think well worth a visit.

We went to Deda and had such a great experience. We tried the orange wine, which was awesome — bold, interesting, and a perfect match for the food. The dumplings and khachapuri were both perfect — flavorful, well made, and exactly what you want from those classics. The service was great — friendly and attentive without being pushy — and the vibe of the place was warm and fun, making it an easy spot to relax and enjoy the meal. We loved everything about Deda... the aroma of the seasonings that intrigues you the minute you walk in , the music that creates the cozy atmosphere, smiles of the stuff, and yes of course the quality and deliciousness of food. Walnuts, spices, adjika, freshness of the bread, quality of meats.. you literally drool over each dish that comes to your table. And the owner who walk around and greets people personally is a great touch. We ate, we drank , we enjoyed. We will be back. Beautiful restaurant. Outstanding service. Delicious food.

The best Georgian restaurant in Los Angeles! Authentic cuisine with incredible flavors everything is prepared with care and true Georgian spirit. The service is excellent, warm, and attentive, making you feel truly welcome. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We will definitely be coming back and highly recommend this place!

I visited Deda Restaurant in Pasadena and it turned out to be one of the more unique dining experiences in the area because it focuses on Georgian cuisine, which is not something you commonly see in many cities. The menu highlights traditional dishes from Georgia that combine influences from Eastern Europe and the Middle East. One of the standout items is khachapuri, a boat-shaped bread filled with melted cheese and often topped with an egg. The bread is soft on the inside with a slightly crisp crust, and the rich cheese filling makes it incredibly satisfying. Another memorable dish is khinkali, Georgian dumplings that are filled with meat and broth. Eating them is part of the experience since you pick them up by the top knot and bite carefully so the flavorful broth stays inside. The restaurant also offers grilled meats and other traditional dishes that highlight the bold yet balanced spices typical of Georgian cooking. The flavors tend to focus on herbs, garlic, and slow-cooked ingredients rather than overwhelming heat. The atmosphere inside the restaurant feels warm and welcoming, with a comfortable dining space that encourages sharing dishes with friends or family. Georgian cuisine is often enjoyed communally, and the menu works well for that style of dining. Service during my visit was attentive and helpful, especially when explaining dishes that may be unfamiliar to people trying Georgian food for the first time. Overall, Deda Restaurant offers a memorable introduction to Georgian cuisine in Pasadena. If you enjoy exploring international food and trying something different, this restaurant is definitely worth visiting.

This is a place where little details, from the decor to the drinks, seem thoughtfully curated. The atmosphere is very welcoming and it’s a place you can take your family. The entrance is also very thoughtfully designed. A must try is the signature Dediko cocktail, which is served in a uniquely shaped glass and is as delicious as it is visually appealing. As for the food, the ingredients are incredibly fresh, and this really shines through in the dishes. The dumplings are a standout; they're truly exceptional and should be tried. While the menu claims they're made with "Wagyu" beef, I'd challenge that specific claim, but their quality and flavor are undeniable regardless. While I really enjoyed my experience, a few things kept this from being a perfect 5-star review. Pros: * Fresh and high-quality food, with flavors that are authentic and delicious. * The dumplings are absolutely amazing; a must try if you’re coming to a Georgian cuisine. * Stunning and aesthetically pleasing atmosphere that makes for a great dining experience. * The entrance is beautifully designed, creating a welcoming and impressive first impression. * The signature Dediko cocktail is fantastic and served in a unique, beautiful glass. Cons: * I’d challenge the pricing vs. value. With our group of four spending around $280 (plus 3 photos costing $20 a pop), the expectation is for every dish to be top-tier. For example, the three dip appetizers were served with only a few chips per bowl, which was disappointing and felt a bit cheap considering the price. It was more design oriented than trying to serve the actual purpose: an appetizer for the table for people to enjoy. * Dish presentation and portion size can be inconsistent. The $40 beef bowl, while delicious (no complaints whatsoever about taste), was a very small portion with no accompanying sides. It felt more like a sample than a main course and left the impression of a mini kid’s meal than a main entree. * The photo sales felt a bit intrusive. It's awkward to be presented with printed photos of your group and asked to purchase them for $20 each. While it's not a requirement, it puts guests on the spot, especially when they may feel a cultural obligation to buy them. (A majority of the clientele is Armenian/Russian/Georgian). A better solution would be to have a dedicated photo display area where guests could view and purchase prints if they choose, which would also prevent the restaurant from wasting money on unwanted photos that they need to shred anyway if guests don’t want them. *Absolutely, do NOT tell guests they only have 2 hours to dine BEFORE they have even sat down. This was big one. We hadn’t even sat down yet and we feel like we’re on the clock. Sure, you can have internal rules and if you see guests have been sitting far past the allotted limit, slowly start hinting at the table to bring their check, etc. But absolutely do not not not not not say this to guests before seating them. We ate very comfortably and slowly, and we were there for less than 1.5 hours. This shouldn’t be a problem for most guests. Overall, Deda Restaurant is a nice change of pace and a lovely spot for a night out. It’s great overall, but a few inconsistencies keep it from getting a perfect 5/5.

Nice restaurant. But lamb was overcooked and the tea was made with tea bags something I didn’t expect from a restaurant like this. They are always busy and it seems like they don’t have enough people in the kitchen. Also they didn’t have a Pavlova dessert. We ordered Napoleon, but were waiting for 40 min for that.

Beautiful place but disappointing experience overall. The food is mid and overpriced, and many dishes from the menu were unavailable — not just the unique ones but even basic items. The cocktails are “Georgian twists” on classics, but honestly, I didn’t enjoy them; they felt more gimmicky than creative. The khinkali were close to ones you can buy in a grocery, lacking the flavor and texture you expect from authentic Georgian dumplings. The waiters and the the personal are the bright spot in this review, they are trying to do their best. With so many great Georgian spots around, this one really needs to step up before I’d consider coming back.

Russian comfort food at its finest! I've never had food from Georgia before so I wasn't sure what to expect going into it. Everything we ordered was delicious and very filling. I really like the cheese boat “adjaruli khachapuri” and the giant dumplings "khinkali kalakuri" The chicken mtsvadi (skewers) were a bit dry to my liking so I won't be ordering that again. I definitely want to go back and try more of their main dishes like the lamb shank (Chaqapuli) and the whole trout. Ambiance is adorable. Service was friendly but it did take them a while to get us boxes and out check once we were done. There was a very friendly lady taking photos and you can purchase them from her in a beautiful frame if you want a memory of your visit. She even had some traditional Georgian headwear to wear in the photo which was super cute.

Loved this place ! The menu is different online than what we saw in person so I can’t reference the names of the dishes but we ordered: 1) a stuffed eggplant appetizer . I believe it was stuffed w a walnut puree. It was so good but so small (and therefore felt exp for the size) lol 2) these triangle pastries stuffed w beans. Also very good (not listed on online menus) 3) mountain trout - my dish which was mediocre. Nothing special. I’d skip this if you are able to eat other meats 4) lamb - my husband loved this. The spinach had a very refreshing almost-minty taste (but not mint. The waiter said it was tarragon) There was a photographer who went around taking photos of ppl while they waited for their food. I thought there was a chance that it might’ve been free but that was wishful thinking. She gives you some hats and a wig to put on for the photo(s). After she takes your photos, she prints them and presents them in frames. They cost 20$ per frame. We felt pressured to buy them so just because aware ! Just say no to the photos to begin with if you don’t want to feel pressured to buy them later.

I’ve been here four times already and have tried many dishes. Overall, I’m giving this place 4 stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ From everything I’ve had, the only things I didn’t enjoy were the chicken soup and the Napoleon cake. The soup had a very unusual flavor and was way too salty for my taste, and the Napoleon felt too dry. We also tried the panna cotta, and it wasn’t as light and airy as we expected - desserts definitely need a bit more attention and improvement. However - the kharcho was absolutely amazing 🤤 and the khinkali were delicious! One small suggestion: it would be great if you could offer wet wipes for guests after eating khinkali. I also want to highlight the staff - they are incredibly attentive, friendly, and genuinely seem to love what they do. They constantly check in, keep the tables clean, and make sure you’re comfortable. A really pleasant team and great service!

So my wife and I we heard about this place and we decided to go there the following weekend to be honest with you. I was looking forward a week to try the food there it looked really good. We first got there we parked The car, then they give us a table. This one Ukraine or Russian waitress, came and took her order. We told her Which appetizers we wanted, then she left They bought our appetizers. It was good really delicious at this point we were in the restaurant for about an hour and a half. Then the table next to us. This other couple came they sat down. She took their order after she came back and took our order for our main course. Then a group of five people walk in, and they sat them down towards the end of the section we were sitting at Both the table next to us and that group of five people all got their entrées and we did not. We were waiting and waiting Then the waitress walked up to us and asked us if we were ready for dessert. I responded to her and said. We haven’t even got our entrées yet we’re waiting for our main course. She said oh yes, yes. And then walked away. I’m thinking she went to check on the food. We wait we wait we wait another 45 minutes has gone by. We still don’t have our food at this point we’re starving so I get up and go to the guy that’s working the hostess desk and they tell him hey where is our food? The tables next to us both got seated. They ordered their main entrées and appetizers they received. We are still waiting for entrées he goes. I’m gonna tell your waitress to come back. To Your table she finally comes back. She tells us oh I forgot to put your order in. Would you like to order? Again, I said no because we have other plans and you guys kind of ruined it for us Wants to wait over two hours for their main entrée and I proceeded to tell her that We did not come here to eat chips and dip so I wanted that I would’ve gone to Ralph’s and bought chips and dip So she proceeded to give us the check now I don’t know if your English is bad or she is having rough day But as a new restaurant that opened up, this is not OK honestly they shouldn’t even have For the appetizers and they should’ve invited us back for a comped meal for making us wait so long it Iwss a horrible experience Because we did not even get to eat Our entrées This is not how you treat customers specially as a new restaurant. I’m willing to give it another shot. But I for sure do not want her to be our waitress and I would like to be comped for a meal because it’s not far to us but other than that The setting is great just the service could be better

I’ve been here 3 times. And wanted to give that place one more chance. But it looks like they are doing worse and worse. We just ate hinkali. The rest was tasting so bad. Could even eat it. All our friends also think it’s not good , and not worth it. We told them second time after they brought the check and they offered to delete one item one .

Despite having a reservation, we were seated outside without being asked—cold and with a wobbly table. $25 for a small, baguette looking bread with mozzarella that had absolutely no flavor. Eggplant rolls were cold and bland with an overly thick walnut paste. Overall overpriced and not worth it. One star only for the khinkali.
