Sunday Breakfast Buffet is 🔥🔥🔥 Staff is friendly & attentive. Love the location of the Grand Hyatt right smack on Union Square. Convenient walking to downtown stores and landmarks. *Free bottled water for the guest and everyday a $10.00 credit for you to spend on anything in the Hotel.
Excellent restaurant, Excellent Service. We just did breakfast there, but it was very professionally served, and very tasty - good selection. On the "expense" rating, it showed "$$", but a rating of "$$$$" would have been more reflective of the actual situation. But . . . it was nice!
I ate there two days during my stay in SF and I got the best service I ever experienced in a restaurant in USA. The food and drinks were also great. Perfect for a nice dinner. Thanks for that.
Great hotel , I don't drink but wanted water and soda. Bartender comped both and thanked me. I left a tip. Customer service is key, something I did not get in France or Italy.
Ordered pick up, and the burger was amazing!!
Excellent service and good drinks. One of the best long islands I've had in a long time. Inside the crowd is fun and the bartenders and staff and friendly and talkative. However the general poor condition of the streets in the Union Square area is a concern. The street outside is filthy and you may likely be confronted by beggars or otherwise smell urine and human waste. The beggars may insult you and your family if you do not give. Stay safe, suggest to not walk around too much, especially in the evening. Towards midnight a group of youths intentionally bumped into us and threatened to fight. We had to walk away hoping not to be harassed more or worse, we were well outnumbered.
Cocktails and food were exquisite! Everything about our experience was perfect. The burger and tots were amazing, and the seafood bake was to die for. Yumm. The service was great as well. Highly recommend rhis place to anyone looking for a great dining experience near Union Square. Only drawback was that it was a little on the pricey side, but it was worth every penny. We will definitely come back next time we are in town.
I was pleasantly surprised by this place! Reviews/ratings don’t really do it justice. True it’s truly a hotel bar that is ideal for when you are here for work, don’t want to go out in the June gloom cold, etc. flatbread was simple but hit the spot, service was top knotch, friendly, professional and fast. Good music and after work crowd. Would I go here for a 5-star vacation like experience? Probably not. Was it a perfect post work respite? Yes.
We ate here multiple times during our stay and it was great. Service was excellent - I cannot emphasize that enough. The menu was kind of basic but executed well and the portions were large.
Although the restaurant part was closed, at least the lounge part was opened for dinner. Our server was friendly, we were given the menu right away. The food was served quickly. The dishes were tasty. Loved their cheese cake!
Jaime is simply the best! He is making THE perfect cocktails. Still can’t get over his Flora Dora and Pisto n love cocktails. Even the best bars don’t have the same taste to it! You should definitely try his amazing drinks! I’ll definitely miss the cocktail list of SF Grand Hyatt in Charleston.
Food and Cocktails great!!!! Bartender insured you left in great Spirits lol. Restaurant located inside Grand Hyatt Hotel Union Square
Inside the Grand Hyatt San Francisco! Delicious food. I’m veg so they made sure that everything was ok with my food!

Restaurant inside the Grand Hyatt. Good spot for a quick dinner during business travel. The food was good and the service was great! The prices are as expected for downtown.
Our bartender in the lounge, Jaime, was fantastic. His personality radiates joy. When you stop in for that first cocktail, you will see what I mean if you are fortunate enough to have Jaime as your bartender.

Nice easy going classic bar. Cocktails are pretty good and nice wine list. I think the lights are bit too bright. Darker lights would make the better interior/atmosphere of the bar.
Quite on the expensive side, but that's understandable for a restaurant/bar in a hotel! The bartenders were very nice, quick, and knew all the drinks requested. If you're staying at the Hyatt, go on down to the Mezzanine and check it out!
This is a really swank place and is currently one of 5 places that you can get the awesome Ramen Burger. Decor, and food are top notch. I'd love to give it 5 stars, but 40 minutes waiting for a burger during a work day is really bad. :( I would go here on an afternoon weekend or holiday when time is nothing.
Lounge is comfortable with excellent drinks. There is a small list of cocktails. Prices are a bit high and there are no daily drink specials or happy hour.
Cocktails YUM! Ambiance. Nice with high ceilings. Food ok. Menu limited. Service friendly but spotty. Fine place to rest your feet and have a drink.
It's fine for what it is, but it's a bit overpriced imo. I had the chicken which had a fantastically crispy skin but it wasn't anything to write home about. They advertise the burger as wagyu but I'm dubious based on reviews, plus my partner got the short rib bolognese and said it just seemed like ground beef essentially. Breakfast buffet is like $30 per person assuming you're staying at the Hyatt and show them the discount card, otherwise it's $40 per person. We didn't try that since we could walk up the street and get 2 sandwiches + 2 specialty coffees for $30 total. If you were feeling super lazy and didn't want to leave the hotel for whatever reason I think this would be fine for room service food though. We just didn't really get enough out of it to go back more than the first night during our stay.
Nice venue with a pretty decent menu, mainly American cuisine. A little on the pricey side for what you get. Was pretty empty when we went on a Wednesday night. Convenient place to eat after shopping downtown. Clam chowder was good but cost $15.
Very kind servers. The wings were very good and crispy. The fries were slightly undercooked but still good.
Pleasantly surprised! Wasn't expecting much from the hotel restaurant, but the flatbread was super good!

Enjoyable cocktail lounge with a sense of luxe and nice friendly and fairly attentive service. Nice cocktails, although I was disappointed to see that the margarita featured pre mixed ingredients (it tasted good mind you). Worth checking out if you are staying in the Grand Hyatt.
Very nice seating with quiet environment and mostly ambient music. Most customers are professionals and hotel residents or travelers. Staff are nice and very accomodative - nice talk with Chaly and Jaime. 1 star down for food as quite expensive with small portions and unfortunately tasteless/plain margherita pizza. If you want some real protein, be willing to pay +$35 a dish. Overall adequate, not excellent.

Excited as we were to celebrate SF and our anniversary we were ‘greeted’ with a sour bartender who clearly wished he worked somewhere else. Bar program could use a facelift as could some of the basic service points; like maybe following up when someone orders an 18$ drink to see if they like it. Or Letting guests know what type of cheese or Charcuterie they just spent 25$ on before they are finished. You know basics.
Ordered plain pasta with a side of chicken breast because my stomach was hurting and the pasta was amazing but the chicken was so dry I couldn’t eat it
Standard hotel bar. Service is slow and there aren't that many seats. Options are limited outside of cocktails, but it has an impressive (if brief) wine list.
Not much of a choice of dishes on the menu. I ordered crab cake and chicken wings, there not seasoned to taste. Drinks were not to my satisfaction. I will not go there again.
We stopped by for a cocktail and beer on our first night. You get a small discount if you’re a Hyatt guest (you must provide your room # and show the discount card provided by the front desk). Service was friendly but it was a long wait to get our cheque.

An, albeit highly polished, turd. It looks super cool; from the crazy double sided wine racks to the succulents on the table, yet when you get down to it, uninterested staff and mediocre food leave it worse than any diner on the same street. Go here to drink if you have freinds, otherwise stay away.
This was a nice hotel lounge, and the service was good, but the food seemed obviously frozen and cooked in an air fryer. Very expensive for what we were served.
Had 1 glass of wine and 2 TINY crab cakes with the size of a large scallop. 2 bites, $50. I mean I know SF is expensive but this is too much. Not worth it!
Service is a a little poor , waiter actually said Oh that should be enough even though we still had people who did not place their own menu choices, amazing
This is easily one of the worst hotel restaurants I’ve been to. Food options are terrible, or embarrassing, whatever you prefer. The restaurant itself is about as inviting as an Amtrak waiting area. I mean, this is a 4-star hotel, “Grand” Hyatt. In San Francisco. Really? (Service folks are friendly though.)
The food is pretty good. Courteous staff. Would have been a solid "4", if not for their shadey upcharge attempts. If you stay at the Hyatt, they are supposed to give you a 25% discount. They just need to know you are staying there. 3 meals. Evertime I said i was a guest, gave my name, room #- & showed my room key. Every time they acknowledged that. Everytime i got my bill the discount was missing and I had to point it out. Everytime they acted as though they got "caught". Same with my Sister in Laws meals. There is an obvious culture of "lets see if we can get away with not giving the discount. " Probably a management directive as this was with different staff members on different days. So....good food, but check your ticket. For the management that will undoubtedly read this "bad" review- stop being shadey. You dont want to give a discount? Stop offering it.
My party stopped in for drinks on a moderately busy Sunday night. I’m always willing to pay for ambiance and setting; but, charging $30 for a 1.5oz pour of spirit from which the full bottle itself costs $25 is inexcusable at all except for the most premium locations.
Love the ambience, and the server is nice, but the food was horrible. We ordered wagyu smashburger. The meat is dry, overcooked put on a stale bun. Also, the truffle fries had zero truffle flavor, no truffle oil or salt, just plain fries. How is it that I'm eating this kind of food in Grand Hyatt bugs me. I've been to Grand Hyatt San Diego, Seoul, etc, and their food is exemptional. This one is disappointing.
when you want to go to bar and you are on holiday, you would like to have nice smoky lights, nice music, but in there you feel like it’s still bright day, people looks sad, no life. Less lights!

Went to the bar for a drink. $21 for an overpoured Gin & Tonic. Outrageous....The non welcoming bartender must be confused...ratio is 1:3 not 3:1 The bar settings / seating is ok... not great. Plenty of better options around.
The menu has changed considerably, they really need to update. Probably the worst food I have had in San Francisco. I saw the menu was lacking but figured the fish and chips couldnt be that bad. Wow was i wrong, two triangled pieces of fish was served with not completely cooked french fries. I had two mountain dews which were in cans, 5 dollars a piece and the frozen fish and fries were 19.00. $31 dollars and some change before tip. Not impeessed in the slightest.
We have waited a few days to be less upset with our visit to this restaurant you should avoid. Three of our four group had terrible meals that were almost inedible. The polenta they were so proud of was both lumpy and watery having not been cooked properly. The short rib was singular and a small piece. The tater tots that came with a hamburger were mystifying-they were crisp on the outside and underdone inside. This restaurant was so bad it found a way to ruin tater tots! The problems were not caused by a restaurant too busy to serve us properly - we ate at 8:15 on a Saturday night. The restaurant was almost empty and rightfully so.
The space is crowded and disorganized. Staff are unfriendly and obviously don't want to be here. They do not greet you at all. After your initial drink is served (we waited about 30 minutes for one drink) no one will check on you to see if you want more drinks or if you want food. The menu is a totally unnecessary tablet that convolutes rather than speeds up the ordering process.
Joined the breakfast buffet and payed for two even though I was alone. Felt especially insulting as I had explained my dietary restrictions that mean I cannot have the majority of things offered. I was provided with an extra dish of spinach and mushroom, but that didnt show up on the bill, instead i was charged a second buffet on the very same breakfast. Update: upon checking out, I was only charged one breakfast after all, but I don't think I'll go back there regardless
Do not order the chicken tenders. Was the worst looking food o have seen. We didnt eat it. I had to order take out. My child at 12 wouldn't eat it. That is pretty bad
What an absolute disappointment for such a wonderful hotel, the service was extremely lacking and the drinks were weak and did not taste good. Considering the pricing you would expect a much higher quality staff and drinks. Walk around the area for alternative bars if you can.
If cafeteria-style food is your thing, this might be your spot—but honestly, it was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. I couldn’t help but laugh while eating—it was that bad. I ordered what was supposed to be a Wagyu burger, but it was unbelievably dry and flavorless—worse than something from a fast food drive-thru. Definitely not worth the price or the hype. Do yourself a favor and spend your money elsewhere if you’re looking for a decent meal. That said, the bar might be worth a visit just for drinks—just don’t come hungry.

maybe it's the time I ordered pickup (10pm) but man their food is bad. 3.9 is high for the quality of food here.
