I was there for a party. The host ordered a special banquet menu a day ahead. The chef was very creative and we tasted some unique fusion style Vietnamese cuisine. The special dinner needs a minimum of 10 people. Just let them know the budget you want to spend plus tax and tip. A special menu is designed and text/ email for approval. Note CASH ONLY.

Reliable price Grilled bbq beef with vermicelli Meat is tender n awesome flavors Noodle is fresh n delicious Fresh meats n noodles Friendly staff This is my 2nd time to pick up those foods. I drive by this neighborhood due I am on way to work.
Got two dishes. Bun Bo Hue and the pho Dac Biet and I would definitely recommend the Bun Bo Hue. It evens has the stinky shrimp paste, which makes it taste even better. This is one of the better places in the city to get the Bun Bo Hue
Holy phò! That was our expression after getting our large bowl soups (they also have small). We ordered the beef combo and it was delicious and loaded, I added some srirracha sauce on mine so it had me sweating like I'd stolen something, S/O to the girl working the cashier for cracking that front door open, she's the real MVP! Overall the food, service and price is why this place takes 5 stars. I would give it 6 if only they had its own parking area. Best believe we will be back.
Very generous servings with a great price. Great for groups of people. Always leave with a full belly. Sometimes the waiters are a little grumpy but the food is delicious.
Chicken pho when you're sick. Always hits the spot. Cash only unless you use online ordering. Service is alright if you keep in mind that Pho is fast food, not fine dining.
This place is excellent! It has lots of delicious Vietnamese food, and they only use cash instead of credit card. I’ve been to this place several times, and this restaurant becomes my favorite one.

Tasty vermicelli. Big portion. Hard to find parking in this area though. Also they are cash only

When you're not feeling too well, and need some hot and soupy goodness, try out this hole in a wall family restaurant that specializes in Vietnamese pho ga. It's chicken noodles. If you feel adventurous, go with the chicken and intestines, which is actually very small strips of chicken and thin sliced gizzards and liver. You also get your choice of regular pho that gives your mouth some springy chewing satisfaction, thin vermicelli style, or slurpy knife cut style noodles. Sticks to your ribs, clears your sinus and friendly to your wallet. The place is not where I'll bring a first date. Bare bones wall, sounds echoing all over the place. The service is brisk, but sufficient. Only metered steet parking available and you will feel pretty lucky if you can find a spot within a block if this restaurant.
I have eaten here before and it was great. I went there last night about 7:00 pm and about 2:00am, I woke up rushing to the bathroom for diarrhea and vomit. I am giving this place 4 stars because of the previous visits, I am not crossing it off my list, but I will not order the chicken curry next time.
Chicken Pho. Broth very flavorful which is key and prompt waiter. food came out in less than 5 min. The vegetable rolls were only okay. They looked a little old and maybe refried once I requested an order. Other than that I will come back again for the pho!

I usually came here several times a year when I’m in the neighborhood. Their food is fine: hot, edible, and clean. Their service is minimal— waitress brought glasses of water and food to the table. No refills offered and she doesn’t check up on you. All the utensils are self-service and napkin dispensers are on the table too. Prices are competitive. Portion sizes standard. Unfortunately I had a bad experience. We had 5 people and the waitress automatically added her tip to my bill. She refused to give us a breakdown of the subtotal, taxes, and her tip amount. She kept saying the total is $89 with tip and walked away. When I asked for more clarification, she just read off the name of the items ordered and said, “what don’t you understand. That’s what you ordered” and walked away again as she spoke. See attached photo of the “bill”. In the past, I’ve had 6 people at the table and I was allowed to determine the tip amount. I’m unsure if there was a change in ownership. There was absolutely no miscommunication since we spoke in her language. If the waitress was transparent and wasn’t so curt, then I would have actually given her my normal tip percentage which is actually a lot more than what she demanded. I recommend the food here, but I do not recommend the dine-in experience.
This is my definite go to spot for some soup pho, BBH or bun rieu.. the staff are always very nice to us when we come in. They actually know our order by heart, almost. Parking is a little hard and this place only accepts cash!
Updated review 10/24/2022: Pho #1's garlic noodles $14 are only OK. The last time I was here, the waitress said their version of garlic noodles are better than the ones at PPQ. It is not. Pho #1's version is greasy without a good garlic burn and came with sliced onions. PPQ's version has grated parsley with a hint of butter plus a thing of lettuce and pickled sliced carrots on the side giving it a contrast between the carbs and the meat. The beef at Pho #1 had good wok flavor. Other than that, this is just chow mein without the characteristics of Vietnamese garlic noodles. I hope they survive because I was the only customer dining indoors on a Monday at dinner time, 6pm. You kind of start worrying about a restaurant when the employees outnumber the guests. The people here are nice. Original review: During the lock down in 2020, Pho #1 was all boarded up. I remember getting take-out across the street at the now defunct Wing Hing and looking at their sad store front. Fast forward to 2022 and they are opened for indoor dining. I came here a few times before today for take-out and remembered they had decent vermicelli dishes. Tonight I got their black pepper beef noodles $14. It had a pleasing black pepper taste with good wok flavors. The chef did a good job. Service was fine as there were only one other party in the restaurant.
Decent, but nothing-to-write-home-about pho. One benefit is being open at 10am for those eager to get a fill before lunch time. Seafood Pho — basic, but lacked a depth of flavor in broth. Noodles were slightly overcooked.

This is a hidden gem. The chicken pho is probably the best in town. I think the soup base is much better than Turtle Tower's. The tomato with crab meat soup noodle is delicious as well, although you don't see much crab meat.

The pho nation restaurant down the block from this place is definitely the #1 here and always my to go to, but I wanted to try something new. I spent $41 on 2 dishes plus a side of dumplings and it definitely wasn’t worth the terrible service I’ve received. After the person took our order, she snatched the menus and threw them on the other table which made me want to just get up and leave. When we were leaving and my partner handed her the money to pay, she snatched it from him and didn’t even say thank you or goodbye to either of us. Never coming back here again.
In all honesty, I was disappointed. I balked at the prices at Golden Saigon, and came here and saw the prices were the same for a size bigger. (This might not mean much because bowl sizes at different places can vary) so I picked this place for lower price. I got the old standby, combination beef and beef ball bowl. They use rare beef that cooks in your bowl, but the beef was hand sliced, and a few pieces were way too thick for pho. This bowl also didn't have tiny bits of beef tripe like I would expect. Ththough the portion size was adequate, I feel it was sorta bland for what it was. Loi's on Irving is MUCH cheaper and much nicer, but so far away... I sorta wish I wasn't such a cheapskate and tried Golden Saigon a block away instead of trying here.

Bad services, portion of the food compare with the price is not worth. Highly not recommended. With this price tons of options in SF for better price, taste, and services.
My kids & I went here many years ago, it wasn't good or Authentic. The pho was thick rice noodle instead of regular pho noodle & we were not impress with their pork chop or spring rolls either. We haven't been there since until a few months ago when we thought they had changed owner or remodelled. We ordered the Bun Bo Hue & Grilled Pork Chop over rice. Their Bun Bo Hue was almost flavorless. Their Grilled BBQ pork was also very flavorless even with the sauce & the pork chop was 50% fat & 50% low quality meat that didn't look or taste fresh. The servers were all chinese, not vietnamese or mixed chinese vietnamese. I question if the cook is even vietnamese. We went there during the daytime both times. We've ordered these 2 items at many different authentic vietnamese restaurants so we know what is good & not. This place does not serve good authentic vietnamese food. I don't know why there are so many good reviews. Either they are fake reviews or they've never really had authentic good vietnamese food. All the other Vietnamese restaurants on San Bruno ave are not that good but ok. This place has the worst we've ever had.
