I don’t really write about places. But..... This place has delicous pizza. Fresh and clean. Love it. I love the crust and I don’t eat crust on most pizza.

As I sit on my couch eating leftovers I figured I should write a review. Because that is the best thing about Pizza Express, their pizza makes the best leftovers, so always get a large. This place was recommended to me by an SF native as one of the best pizza places in Bernal Heights and was later told by roommate who is a foodie that this is her go to pizza restaurant as well. So I've had this place in mind to try for awhile. Thanks Pizza Express

Great pizza for delivery or sit down. Best in the area for the price and service in my opinion. They do single slices which are pretty big, but get at least two if you're pretty hungry. I order from here and walk in all the time. Happy to have this place on Cortland!

Definitely one of my favorite places to order pizza when I am home. From the dough, sauce, and cheese the Pizza is definitely a pizza leaving you wanting more. I usually like to order a whole pizza and save some for the next day. Recommend the pepperoni pizza - one of my favorite classics...Definitely give it a try and support family owned and operated.

This was my 1st time ordering from this location and it will not be my last. Most pizza places when you order something with a lot of toppings they skimp on the toppings. Not Pizza express! I ordered a Medium Express Special and it was outstanding! I'm a big eater and 3 slices and I done! Thank you Pizza Express!

Ordered some pizza here for Dad on father's day (we wanted to try something new) and let me say it was amazing! They got our order correct and everyone enjoyed the pizza as well as the fast delivery. If you're looking for an authentic pizza made fresh then I would highly recommend this place! We'll be back again to order from you guys!

Hidden gem on Cortland, because their pizza is really, really good! By the slice is my favorite, but they also have a good Greek salad, rotisserie chickens and wings that are all excellent and a great value for the money. Definitely my go-to for something quick and tasty on Cortland!

Ahh, my review of Pizza Express... Ever since my first visit this has been one of my Go-To spots for a couple of slices in The City. The staff is great and always there to meet my needs. Thank you guys, for a consistently good lunch/dinner break. I apologize for putting my Lefty's review in the wrong spot. I'll leave it here for comic relief. I'll leave it to everyone reading to imagine for themselves... what is Lefty's and where are they? Errantly Placed Lefty's Review: Google is asking me to review places I got directions to, I got directions to Lefty's but I decided not to go because the prices quoted on the phone we're about 25% higher than I think they should have been.

I ordered an all meat pizza with olivers. It tastes very good, very balanced favor and crispy crust. I rank it as one of the best in SF.

The crust was thick and crispy, perfect, not greasy. It was HELLA GOOD! Called it in and picked it up in 25-30mins, hot and crispy. Service was Great! For Real best Pizza I’ve ever had. I wish I took a picture before crushing it. This is my new pizza spot now.

A Bernal Heights staple. My wife and I got pizza here all the time when we lived in SF. That was over 15 yrs ago. Took a family trip this weekend and ordered a big pizza for the family. DID NOT DISAPPOINT!!! Just like we remembered! So cheesy and delicious. I might have cried a little, it was so tasty! Heaven in a cardboard box! Thanks Pizza Express for all the memories and for sticking to your tried and true recipes. Don’t ever change!

Got my order wrong, missed the pepperoni, however when i called the guy was very pleasant and handled it well, offering to send another pizza right away. In the mean time they said i can eat the pizza i have, its pretty dank, even without the pepp.

These guys are awesome and super friendly! Pizza was great and customer service was second to none. This is the best pizza I have tasted in San Francisco. Tried this place after church at Abounding Grace and would definitely recommend 👌.

I ordered the Express Special and the Vegetarian Special, and both were absolutely delicious! You can tell the ingredients are always fresh, and everything comes out hot and perfectly prepared. The crust is amazing — full of flavor, slightly chewy, and perfectly crisp. I never leave a bite on my plate and usually go back for another slice — it’s that good. Every time I visit San Francisco, Pizza Express on Cortland is consistent and satisfying. The flavors just work together, and it’s clear they take care with every pizza they make. Definitely a solid neighborhood spot I’d recommend to anyone looking for a reliable, tasty meal.

Let's make this one short and sweet: the pies here rock. Had the standard with pepperoni (the only meat they offer) and it really was one of the best pizzas I've had in NYC. A little on the pricey side, but if you're gonna pay 20-22 for a pie elsewhere, come here and splurge. You'll be glad you did.

I've been coming here forever since they 1st opened.. The pizza is so good and very addicting. There are about 4 small tables inside can seat only 10 people total. There is a restroom that's very clean this last trip there was no toliet seat covers. No changing table. I ordered a xlarge half Salami half Salami mushroom and olives and a 2 liter Hawaiian punch all for $36. Later we wanted dessert chocolate or cheesecake were the options and my only complaint is the desserts are FROZEN! like hard! I asked them to microwave it they don't have a microwave so my kids my friends and I were eating a brick. Lol. We had to take it home to thaw which defeats the purpose it's dinner and dessert and the cake is $3.99 each!. They have paper plates and plastic utensils napkins parmesan and peppers. There are no high chairs so my 2 year old was constantly getting off and running through the very narrow path where the tables and entrance is at. Over all service was excellent! Dessert could of been better if not frozen but I will eat there again!

The cashier said it costs extra .60 cents per extra topping. Could imagine what a full pizza costs. I was surprised my slice was given in a box instead of just a plate / napkin or foil by the looks of the interior which needs a good update. Also I found it strange that the entire menu had no prices and looks like the prices were blacked out by marker. Quality of pizza was just okay, nothing to go crazy over or wanting to order more, similiar to Costco pizza. But plenty of cheese of course. There is hardly a big enough table to sit and eat a whole pizza with others, this is more a take out or sit and eat 1 slice.

Didn't actually eat here, but clearly marked prices and slices to go would make sense in an area like this with no other fast casual food options.. especially late night

Avoid. Prices posted are drastically less expensive than actually charged. They justify it by forcing a "deal" where you get a 2 liter coke or other soda. I came here for pizza, not 2 liters of sugar water.

Worst pizza ever. Nevertheless my order was placed a long time ago i had to wait for half an hour more on Monday which was super inconvenient for me and worst of it was the the attitude to the customer. One of the worst customer service i have ever seen. Never would recommend this place.
