Solid food and service! Booked on open table last min for a Wednesday night and for a reservation for 8:30PM. Restaurant was busy but the service and food was amazing. We accidentally ordered too much bread as our starters and did not need to double up on the sourdough bread for 3ppl. Our table enjoyed the uni pasta, steak, mini donuts, sourdough bread! The desserts were also delicious. We got the Oreo panna cotta and they comped a free dessert for my birthday :)
This is the second time we've gone here and was not disappointed. We went with their "let the chef choose" option and got to try the majority of the menu. Each course was delicious and tasty. By the end of our meal we were full! Great place for dates and for celebration.
Tasting menu was great. Everything tasted delicious and a good variety of flavours. Service was nice and efficient. Got to sit at the bar and watch the chefs cook, which was quite entertaining Need reservation in advance.
We had a phenomenal dinner at Rich Table and it easily ranks among the best dining experiences we have had. The food was outstanding from start to finish. Every dish was thoughtful and full of flavor. The sea urchin cacio e pepe was a standout and remains one of our favorite bites of food we have ever eaten. Service was good and professional throughout the evening, though not quite as exceptional as the food itself. Still, it was attentive and never took away from the experience.Overall, Rich Table delivered an unforgettable meal!
We came here for the first time and ordered the tasting menu and two drinks each. The drinks reflected how skilled the bartender on duty is, I believe she was the one who designed the cocktail menu. The tomato martini is hands down the best drink my partner and I have ever tried, I ordered it, but we ultimately shared it because he couldn't stop sneaking sips. The tasting menu was nothing short of incredible. It wasn't pretentious, but it displayed a great understanding of balance, flavor and technique. We left feeling full and basically floated to our second location of the night, still riding the high from the sensational dining experience. Aside from the above, what stood out the most to me at this restaurant was the service. The staff was attentive, engaging and so thoughtful in all their details. Hats off to the entire staff, we cannot wait to celebrate more moments at Rich Table!
Everybody knows about delicious food at Rich Table - yes, it is amazing. The tasting menu structured in such a way that you get to taste almost everything on the menu, and i can't find enough superlatives to describe the creativity and mix of unexpected flavors in addition to beautiful presentation. But what made our dinner truly special is the hospitality, the true caring about the guests. Our waiter Mike overheard our issue with the tasting menu and magically replaced steak with delicious and gorgeous fish. When we mentioned that we are not great fans of ice cream dessert, he added panna cotta. We felt very special and pampered - sign of true hospitality. Thank you Mike and the wonderful chefs and staff!
Such a great experience. The uniqueness of the ingredient combinations and the elegance with which things are prepared is quite remarkable. I started with the sardine chip which is brilliant. The sardine is so intense in its fresh, fishy flavor and combined with the whipped horseradish it's such a great foil for the intense flavors. I also had the beef dumpling which I was disappointed with. It lacked seasoning and even though there's a lot of chilies they had no heat. The chicken liver was surprising and delightful. It's quite sweet with the quince and almond and candied pecans and seems to compensate for the sweetness with an excess of flake salt. However, it does work and I would have it again. The uni pasta was just a delight, ao creamy. The shape of the pasta does enhance the experience. Thea amuse bouche was also delightful. And I had the mocktail milk washed cocktail. It had a clean yet. Creamy mouth feel with subtle notes of pickling which perfectly paired with dinner. Really delicious.
We had an excellent dinner during the last night of our honeymoon. The service was perfect and did everything to make the night even more special. The food was delicious and surprising, every bite was an experience and we had lots of fun. Thank you for the great time! The sardin chips and porcini donuts were delicious and very creative! The toro toas was my favourite and the burrata was also very fun! We had the sea oursin pasta that was very good as well but couldn’t really feel the sea oursin flavour. The wine recommendations were also great. For desert we had the panna cotta that was very rich and yummy!
We took Michael to Rich Table for his birthday since it’s his favorite restaurant in SF. We opted for the family menu, and every dish was delicious and generously portioned. The staff was also very thoughtful in accommodating our vegetarian friend—they really made sure everyone was taken care of. The service stood out the most: the team was incredibly friendly and attentive. It almost felt like a co-op with how well they worked together and how much they seemed to care. It was a fantastic experience overall, and of course, we’ll be back again.
I have lived in San Francisco for nearly a decade and have tried all the ‘greatest hits’ with the exception being Rich Table. After putting it off for a very long time for my birthday my girlfriend decided to surprise me with reservations here. ….. wow. This place is truly mind blowing in every sense of the phrase. We started off with the friendliest hostess of all time (I’m sorry I forgot your name but you are absolutely amazing), got seated in an amazing seat (theres not a bad seat in the house) And proceeded to have 2 hours of one of the best dining experiences the city has to offer. Their menu constantly changes so I won’t pin point exactly what dishes were so amazing because there’s a chance you won’t even be able to try them lol, but just go… they were all outstanding. I’ll post photos, but tonight the highlight was the Cavier, Rigatoni, Steak, and we even had the Chili which sounded random but they made incredibly delicious. The cocktails are a no-miss too. I had several with my favorite being a rye cocktail with a Cabernet reduction egg white (???) yeah… sounds wild and it was, just go and trust the process. Special shout out to our server Nicole who was especially amazing with guiding us through the menu and explaining every dish, we didn’t even ask for an explanation or the full 9 but hearing the backstory, history, and love they put into their food made this experience so incredible. This was the best place I’ve ever had dinner for my birthday. At the end they even gave us a signed menu from that night, defiantly a keepsake I’ll hold onto for such a memorable time. Rich Table, RT Rotisserie, you easily have the best operation in the city. Thank you so much again and I’m already dreaming to be back.
What an amazing dining experience we had here. Food and drinks were all above and beyond our expectations. We tried the “milk wash” cocktail and non-alcoholic drinks, and they are incredibly flavorful yet well-balanced and refreshing. Server had good knowledge with the menu, so you can always ask for and trust his recommendations. Each dish’s portion may not be big, but this allows you to order and try more dishes.

Phenomenal experience, likely in my top 10 dinners of this year. Slight negative: possible foodborne illness soon after with fever, chills, among other private symptoms. We thought the Cornish hen looked undercooked, and also had the tataki. The chef/waiter insisted the chicken was cooked, which I'm not too sure. It's also entirely possible that it was not our experience with Rich Table. Either way, a very memorable meal and fantastic service.
Porcini donuts were great -- with the raclette 😋😋😋 Sea urchin spaghetti was also quite nice though I didnt notice the sea urchin too much. They also had watermelon with a tom kha sauce on it which made for a great combo. Chicken liver was too sweet for me. Everything else was mostly pretty good, except for the steak. Was pretty disappointed in that -- it was a bit tough and didnt have much flavor -- more (flavorful) sauce would have been nice. The green beans with it were completely bland, not even sure if they were salted. Dessert (mint chocolate sablé + ice cream) was great!
Loved the food! Nothing was groundbreaking, but all of the flavors were fresh and delicious and seasonal w/ fun combinations. Was honestly really disappointed by Rich Table after reading all the great reviews, hearing great things from friends and most of all enjoying RT rotisserie so much. Our host who sat us gave us impeccable service but once we got seated at the bar, the service was quite average. My water glass was constantly empty and we had to get the attention of the servers more often than they automatically attended to us. The bar was quite cramped and in general the entire space feels really small, dark, cramped and divey. As for the food, we ordered the sardine chip, the dumpling, the porcini donuts, the uni tonnarelli pasta, and the chicken liver mousse. The sardine chip tasted exactly like how it sounds, a fried sardine on a chip.. very basic/nothing special. The dumplings were super disappointing, as a Chinese person I found these no better than any frozen dumpling I could get at 99 ranch except these were $$$ (not worth it). Chicken liver mousse was fine but the zucchini bread it came with was so crumbly and dry. The porcini donuts were decent and interesting but after they cooled down they weren’t as good anymore. Our favorite part of the meal was definitely the uni pasta which I thought was very good, but the portion was very small. Between me and my husband we finished the dish in two bites each. Honestly I wouldn’t come back again and don’t understand the hype and why so many people seem to love this place. I found the food to be poorly executed (looked great on menu), and lacking in interesting flavors. Really disappointed as I had expected more. Will stick to eating RT rotisserie (which I love dearly)
