Super friendly and attentive service. Answered a million questions and flexible with menu items. Delicious salads, the roasted sweet potato with walnut is my favorite but if like lamb, go for that one! The soup can be a bit salty. The frozen yogurt is a petfect dessert! Atmosphere is upscale for order at the counter spot. Clean and pleasant. Will go back!

Lamb Sandwich, great lamb meat yogurt,cucumber and ralish giro style sandwich worth the try. Bear the oil that comes with it, it made my pants a mess. Veggie Salad bowl, olives, kale, lettuce,nuts, greek yogurt and sweet potato make this salad a great choice for a kinda healthy option. Blue Mak Greek beer, refreshing pale ale beer good to combine with the dishes.

My wife and I have been regularly eating here for ~10 years. We absolutely love it and is our “go-to” spot whenever we don’t want to cook and want something consistently satisfying. We also enjoy treating ourselves to their yogurt with baklava.

I was looking for a place to eat and it was getting late like around 8 o’clock on a weekday so we went to go to get Thai food, but they rejected us. They told us we can only take the food to go and we never have time to eat so we were very upset, but we walked down and found Souvla! Knowing they were closing in 40 minutes, they were still very nice and welcoming. They allow us to sit down and just notified us that they were going to close soon. We honestly don’t take long to eat maybe 15 minutes or so and we just needed some time to eat so I would really appreciate the fact that they gave us a time that atmosphere was great. The customer service was five out of five I will definitely recommend coming back. The restaurant is a little pricey, but it’s definitely a different type of flavor and you get to enjoy the american-Mediterranean culture. If you’re a fan of Greek ice cream, you would love the desserts!

There are a couple of these restaurants, but all of them are delicious! It’s simple and affordable and super healthy. Don’t sleep on the chicken salad or the side of fries. And we get the garlic ranch sauce for the fries. Whenever we don’t know what we want to eat, but we wanna make sure we’re eating healthy, we come here.

Beat Greek food we’ve had in San Francisco! Every time we visit (several times a year), we make our way to this special spot. It’s a busy place for good reason, so stopping in outside of peak meal times is the easiest way to guarantee a seat. There is nothing on the menu we wouldn’t recommend but the Baklava Greek Yogurt, the Greek fries with the harissa yogurt sauce, their lamb sandwich and finally, their authentic avgolemono soup — all are absolutely outstanding. This place is always super delicious and fresh. I have tried most things on the menu from the salads to the Greek yogurt. My favorite has to be the gyro, which is always warm and yummy. Would recommend if you are in the area.

This place is absolutely fantastic. The freshness and the quality of the food too. We had the pork salad that me and my girlfriend split, Greek fries with garlic dipping sauce, and for desert we had the Greek yogurt with baklava crumbles. Definitely recommend!

Brisket bowl is yes!!! They split it for us so we can take it to go and have it on the grass by the painted ladies. Super helpful staff. Fast. Delicious. On the expensive side but worth it! I love the signs too!

I had their frozen Greek yogurt dessert! It was the perfect frozen treat in this muggy September weather. I chose the Sour Cherry syrup flavored yogurt and partnered it with their cherry flavored soda. The combination was awesome. The sweetness of the soda went delicious with the tartness of the cherry syrup yogurt. My only wish is that the serving was a little larger.

Absolute gem in Hayes Valley. Their salads are good but the avgolemono soup takes the crown - the lemony savory soup is distinctive and unique not to mention a zing to the taste buds. To top it off (I recommend getting after you've had your meal) get the frozen yogurt - Greek Olive oil and flaky sea salt is simple yet a total blast to your oral senses. Excellent for a sunny afternoon - take it to go and enjoy as you walk around the other shops if it lasts that long.

My daughter brought the salad to me in the park. So I have no idea about the service or atmosphere. The salad was top of the list. Mine had lamb, good choice. The veggies were fresh as where the greens and dressing. A return trip is definitely on my calendar.

Super reliable super delicious lunch / dinner option. Greek style fries are a must. But life hack: get the salad “Greek style” 😍. You’re welcome! Frozen Greek yogurt is awesome, too. With the olive oil drizzle!! Or the honey option. 🤗 Decent amount of seating & fast service! I love the veg bowl too. Pickled onions are such a good addition!!!! Souvla is one of the best Greek fast food restaurants I've tried in San Francisco. They have several locations, and this time I visited the one near the Civic Center. It's a small and pleasant place. The service was excellent; the staff helped me choose a wine to pair with my chicken gyro. I opted for their house white, which was very good. I also had the juicy potatoes. My meal was excellent, and I enjoyed it a lot. I'll definitely come back whenever I crave a gyro.

I loved it! The food is amazing, simple but really tasty. The decor was so nice. I would def go back! My friend had the lamb on pita bread, she loved it. I’m not a lamb fan, so I had the Chicken salad, and it was one of the best salads I’ve had, the orange or tangerine made is so good. I wish I had this restaurant back home.

Wonderful Greek yogurt! I love their olive oil flavor however this baklava one didn’t hit the spot for me. The baklava topping was very soft and too mushy for my taste I was hoping for something crispier.

Two of us came for lunch. The service was fast and we got outside seating right away. While the menus is classic the execution is more fusion than Greek. We got the grilled chicken sandwich. The wrap came with a little bit of vegetable and even an orange but the chicken was cut so fine and dressed so heavily it was more like a chicken salad sandwich than a classic Greek dish. It was tasty just not what I was expecting. The fries were fine. Portions are good but it’s an Al a cart menu so order your sides accordingly. This is a order at the counter style service. Makes for a good fast lunch.

Delicious food, friendly staff. Chicken sandwich and salad were fresh and tasty. Keep the sandwich in it's wrap, it is juicy. No fault of the restaurant. I ended up wearing some home! Nice flavor and sauce. Very light. I tried a cola drink. Real cane sugar but very small size. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Great for a casual lunch or a meeting with friends! Not too loud and feels welcoming inside. Order at the counter and get a number. That's the 4 vs 5 star difference.

Affordable and tasty, fast casual Greek cuisine. Choose a wrap or a salad and your choice of protein. Very excited about the new black bean, plant-based lamb substitute. It’s not traditional, but it’s definitely delicious. The texture is perfect and when dressed with yogurt, pickled onions, and more, it definitely holds its own against the lamb, pork, or chicken. The kale salad is also excellent. Fries are standard fare, have had better at Ayola downtown.

Phenomenal food if you are looking for a healthy and hearty meal. The gyros are delicious and very filling ($17 before tip). If you like savory desserts, definitely try the Greek olive oil and flaky salt frozen yogurt. Very friendly service as well and I’d visit more if I lived around the area.

It was good! Flavors are very fresh. But somehow feels like something I could make at home. That’s the reason for the three stars. I did really appreciate the ambience. It’s rare to find a counter-serve fast-casual restaurant that doesn’t feel like it’s designed to get you in and out. Here I felt like I could sit down and stay a while. Candles at each table are a nice touch.

I only had the frozen yogurt, so my experience is only based on the frozen yogurt. honestly I didn't like the olive oil and sea salt frozen yogurt, but it's just my own taste preference. if you like salty frozen yogurt, then go for it!!

Came to try this modern take on Greek food, but we left disappointed. The salads were overwhelmed with raw kale, the oranges tasted past their prime, and the chicken was stale and flavorless. Overall, the food felt old and underwhelming. For the price, it doesn’t live up to the hype. On top of that, being prompted for a 20% tip for counter service didn’t sit right. We won’t be returning.
