I know my pictures are flushed with a pink wash, but that's because the restaurant had this lively pink glow. Anyhoo, on to the review. I've been to multiple STK's and this was the best service I've had. Our waiter Michael K was perfect. He was attentive and not overbearing. It truly was the warmest and most friendly experience I've had at a STK. The food and drinks were delicious as usual. You can't really get a bad meal here.
The atmosphere here is lovely — refined, comfortable, and fairly quiet. The dim lighting makes it a great spot for a date and gives the place a romantic vibe. Service was also solid. We came during happy hour, so the prices were quite affordable, and every dish we ordered was tasty, especially the beef tartare.
Wow! Such a fun, elevated spot for happy hour or a girls night out in San Francisco. Service was exceptional from start to finish. Ryan the general manager reached out personally which was such a thoughtful touch, and our server Michael K was attentive, friendly, and made everything feel effortless. Food and drinks were on point. Lobster bisque was a favorite, steak was cooked perfectly, and we also loved the lobster, salmon, and mac and cheese. Desserts were a highlight, especially the Cloud dessert which is a must. Cocktails were great too and the Strawberry Cobbler was delicious. Stylish, photo friendly space, and parking was surprisingly easy for Market Street. We will definitely be back.
Had an amazing dinner at STK Steakhouse, the 14 oz ribeye cooked perfectly medium, incredible wine pairings, and the truffle fries were top notch. Stylish vibe, lively atmosphere, and overall a fantastic steakhouse experience!
I want to take a moment to recognize the bartender Erica !!! who served us at STK SF She is, by far, the best bartender I’ve experienced in a long time. Her drinks were absolutely outstanding — easily some of the best cocktails I’ve ever tasted. You can tell right away that she truly knows her craft. The balance, flavor, and presentation of each drink were on another level. Not all bartenders are equal, and she clearly stands out as someone who takes real pride in what she does. We had an incredible dining experience at stk on valentines day around 7pm. The atmosphere was lively yet relaxed, with a diverse mix of guests—from birthday celebrations and family dinners to friends catching up and what looked like a few first dates. It felt like the perfect spot for any occasion. The food was absolutely fabulous, and the service was top notch. Our server, sandra made the night even better with her warm personality, great smile, and deep knowledge of the menu—from cocktails to dessert. She was attentive without being overbearing, and you could tell he genuinely enjoys what she does. Every dish we tried was exquisite, but the caviar kiss appetizer was a standout. Perfectly definitely a must-try. The tuna tartare was just spicy enough for those that like heat but still want to taste the flavors. The free range chicken is a sure winner if you’re undecided. For dessert, the lava cake was unforgettable. I’d come back just for that alone. As for drinks, everything we tasted was delicious, but my favorite was the spice watermelon I highly recommend stk for anyone looking for excellent food, stellar service, and a vibrant yet comfortable vibe. Can’t wait to go back!
Had a great dinner at STK and our server Genesis made the whole experience even better. She was attentive, friendly and genuinely welcoming from the moment we sat down. She knew the menu well, gave great recommendations and made sure everything at the table was perfect throughout the night. Service like that really makes a difference. If you’re dining at STK, definitely ask for Genesis. She’ll take great care of you.
An unforgettable evening at STK San Francisco ✨ One guest ordered the sea bass—and it was absolutely amazing. I went with the surf and turf, and it was everything you’d hope for and more. The scalloped potatoes were decadent, rich, and indulgent, and the Brussels sprouts? To die for. Drinks were just as memorable. My brother enjoyed a couple of Old Fashioneds, while I had an incredible tequila cocktail (can’t remember the name, but I definitely remember how good it was 😌). Another in our party tried the holiday martini—too sweet for their taste—but ended up happily switching to my tequila drink as well. This dinner was especially meaningful for me—it was my pre-surgery meal before fasting, and it couldn’t have been a better one. Great company, a fantastic atmosphere, and warm, attentive hospitality made the entire evening feel special. We had our Christmas Eve lunch at STK and had an amazing experience. The restaurant was beautifully decorated for the holidays, creating a festive and upscale ambiance. The food was excellent, and having been to the STK in Vegas, this location absolutely compares. Our server, Jasmine, truly elevated the experience. She was friendly, welcoming, and fun. We ordered the Holiday Martinis, and while the first round had sticky glass stems from the peppermint candy, Jasmine immediately fixed this for our second round by placing the candy differently so the glasses weren’t sticky at all. Great food, great service, and a wonderful holiday atmosphere! I’ll definitely be back!
It’s my birthday and man they treated us like royalty! Kat helped us move tables, she was so kind. She went about & beyond to make me feel special. She walked me to the bathroom & got my umbrella for me. She also gave us a free dessert for my birthday. Quinn was our server, she was very kind and recommended items on the menu! There was a guy walking around and he just made my day. I’m assuming he was management, he also made me feel so special for my birthday! What an incredible experience, I appreciate you all! A great place to celebrate a special day! The servers were nice & very accommodating. The interior is super-b as well as their dish. Celebrated my day here and gave us a complimentary dessert which is a yum! Also ordered their wagyu beef that is tender & tasty—they also offered different types of sauce along with it. We also had their calamari as an appetizer. Steak & frites for the main. Definitely will be back 👌🏻

⭐ Updated STK Review I’m updating my review because STK completely turned my experience around and gave us an unforgettable second visit. After this experience, I truly believe my previous visit must have been a misunderstanding or an off night, because what we received this time was the level of hospitality and quality STK is known for. After my first visit wasn’t the best, the general manager Ryan personally invited us back. From the moment we walked in, the atmosphere was absolutely beautiful. The restaurant had such a great vibe. The music, lighting, and energy made the entire place feel lively and upscale, and every person we came in contact with was professional, attentive, and genuinely nice. One of the highlights of the night was when the staff came around to the music carrying trays of drinks and gave the entire restaurant free shots. Ours was a tropical pineapple style shot that was surprisingly delicious. It felt fun, engaging, and really added to the experience. Ryan also mentioned that if we wanted a specific song played, we could just let them know, which I thought was incredibly thoughtful and personal. The drinks were all really good. I ordered the guava cocktail, a Dirty Shirley, and a regular Shirley Temple. Everything was made well and tasted great. The food this time was excellent. I ordered the tomahawk with garlic butter and it was cooked perfectly. Adding the garlic butter is definitely a must because it took the flavor to another level. The calamari was good too. My daughter loved the asparagus and both the mac and cheese and the mashed potatoes were delicious. For dessert, we ordered the Cloud dessert. The presentation was stunning and really beautiful to look at, although it wasn’t my personal favorite in terms of taste. The cheesecake, on the other hand, was really good and something I would absolutely order again. Overall, this second visit completely changed my impression of STK. The team truly went above and beyond to make things right and delivered the level of service and quality that STK is known for. A huge thank you to Ryan and the entire staff for making our night special. We will definitely be returning.
Easy access from BART. Dramatic atmosphere. Friendly good staff. Extensive wine list. We had the blue cheese iceberg salad. Large chubks of blue cheese and crispy pork belly. My hubby had the salmon served on a bed of broccolini. You can have it cooked as you prefer. Very well seasoned. I had the ribeye and it was THE best steak I have had in many years! Tender, moist, flavorful, seasoned well with a bit of char. We enjoyed the parmesian mashed potatoes and crispy brussel sprouts with a glaze and crispy pork belly. THE DESSERT!!!! Run soaked butter cake with fruit served in a cloud of house made cotton candy. With chocolate cake and mini donuts with 3 flavors of dipping sauce! WOW, they know how to impress! Over all, a very good dinner and atmosphere. Highly recommend!
My boyfriend and I hardly ever go out, so we decided to treat ourselves to happy hour at STK and it did not disappoint! We were really excited for the happy hour, and it was fabulous. Our server, Michael K, truly made the experience even better. He overheard me mention that I was cold from my commute and surprised me with a cup of hot water.. OMG- such a thoughtful gesture that immediately warmed me up and made me feel comfortable. Beyond that, he was fun, attentive, and made us feel really well taken care of the entire time. We’ll definitely be coming back, and I would love to be served by Michael again. Thank you, Michael, for making our date night extra special!
The food here is absolutely delicious! The atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service is excellent. The burgers are especially amazing—juicy, flavorful, and made with high-quality meat. They’re also very reasonably priced, offering fantastic value for the quality. Highly recommended!
We had an amazing dining experience. Both the food and service were impeccable. We enjoyed our steak a lot which was cooked and seasoned to our liking. The crab cake was packed full of crab meat with burst of delightful flavours. The waitress who served us was very knowledgeable who guided us through the menu and was attentive throughout the meal.

Had a bit of a hit-or-miss experience here. The Wagyu lil burgers were cooked accordingly and the cheesecake tasted great, though $23 for a tiny sliver is a bit much. The Kobe meatballs were dry and the taco poke lacked flavor. Service started off fine, but the server became pretty scarce after I mentioned the $50 promo. I get that it was busy, but having the cheesecake "dumped" into a to-go container so it tumbled over felt a bit careless for the price point. The food is decent enough, but with the service drop-off, I’ll probably just stick to DoorDash or Uber Eats.
Made a reservation for 7pm, arrived and was told that there was a 40min wait. The wait was actually 1 hour and we ended up getting free champagne for the wait. Our waitress was extremely kind and helpful. As far as the food goes, the sides and the cocktails were amazing (but $23 each was a bit much). I ordered the Japanese wagye that was $109 and seemed like some fatty regular meat. I been to Japan 3 times so im sure I know what I asked for and expected. The prime rib was a little dry, we asked for Med rare and got Med. The prices were a little out there so I think it really wasn't worth it. The service was great overall.
The wall decor with all of the tusks or horns looked a bit odd. Live DJ was cool but kinda hard to hear people band your server. Tables are very close together not much room and at times the servers could bump into you while they are walking. $11 extra for your steak butter/sauce. They brought the wrong one at first :). The award winning drink was amazing. Skirt steak was cool. Overall feels like a place for influencers.

Staff was friendly and our server was ok and gave us a happy birthday surprise but for the prices, the food quality, portions, and overall ambiance was just meh.
11-9-25: We, a Party of (5) dined @ STK San Francisco and had an extremely poor experience that evening. Sean our waiter greeted us professionally but after that, service went downhill. It took about 15-20 minutes before everyone at the table received our drinks because for some reason he brought them out separately. Mind you, we only had one alcoholic drink and even had to remind him about a missing ice tea for my FIL. Then he took our appetizer order and left. By that time, we asked our busser if they had bread or something and he apologized and got us some. This after approximately 30 minutes. We received our appetizer, ate it and waited for Sean to come back. He then apologized and said, he was busy serving an “INFLUENCER” that was dining there as well. Indicating that their service was far more important than ours. He took our Entree orders, our food came, we ate and waited for Sean again. He asked how everything was, we said, “OK” and let him know we wanted dessert, some coffee and an old fashion for my MIL. He said he would be right back, but 20-25 minutes later, we were over it. We paid our $750 tab and still give him a 15% tip which could’ve been more if we received the service expected in this type of restaurant environment. We were there for over 2 hours and saw our server maybe 3 times. To make matters worse…I wasn’t going to say anything but I couldn’t leave without speaking to management. So on my way out, I spoke to Kat (Manager) & Sean who happened to be up there at the time. I mentioned my disappointment in the Service but I did let her know that Sean was pleasant but didn’t provide excellent service because he was too busy serving an “INFLUENCER “. I let her know that WE ARE INFLUENCERS too and our money is just as good. She gave me her card and asked me to email her and give them an opportunity to make it up in San Diego where I Live. I told her, “I will” and gave the both of them hugs as there was no malice in our conversation. And I felt that since we’re communicating, I wouldn’t need to post a negative review. I sent Kat an email on 11-12-25, no response. I followed up on 11/24/25, no response. So here I am, posting a review for not only the bad service but for the lack of response by the management team. $750 isn’t something we spend nonchalantly but I expect prime service with the Ambiance & Food that this establishment projects.

I was visiting from Austin, TX and thought I’d try this steakhouse with my spouse. It appeared to be a good recommended option. What we experienced was far from it. We arrived and sat there debating what to order. The prices were outside of what we considered would be appropriate for what we thought about ordering. We have no qualms paying for good food, especially an awesome steak. But we have had better pricing at Michelin-started restaurants. We eventually settled on trying something new. My spouse went with the ribeye. I went with the shrimp scampi with a side of asparagus. The ribeye tasted of a sous vide cooked steak that was seared to order. It lacked flavor or even consistency. The shrimp scampi was over oily for my liking. The best part of the whole meal was the asparagus and the Bonanza red wine blend. We were quite disappointed. Our server Dylan was great. He was attentive and tried to meet our needs as best he could. Even when he asked how the food was, he wondered what he could do to make things better. We told him that his service was excellent. However, the food was sorely lacking. We explained to Dylan what we were accustomed better prepared steak. We told him we were traveling from Austin, TX. We told him we had traveled from the west and east coasts, but no restaurant has been able to compete with Bartlett’s Restaurant in Austin, TX, especially the steak. At the end of the night, we determined this would not be a restaurant we would return to since the quality no where matched the pricing.
I had the worst customer experience from the outside manager and the host working on 2/14/26. I made reservations weeks prior for my birthday to experience a great birthday lunch with my husband and kids and got treated with the most sarcastic and rude behavior from the Hispanic male manager and female host that was checking in everyone in the afternoon. Upon arriving I asked if we can be accommodated inside because I had my infant son and toddler daughter with me and it was a cold San Francisco day. It was also my first time at STK and I wanted to experience the nice ambiance and DJ indoors to celebrate my birthday with my family. The host said “no it’s busy its Valentine’s Day, you can come back at 12:30 tomorrow if you want to eat inside you have to sit in the patio” the way she said it was with attitude and sarcasm. So then I thought maybe the manager would be more accommodating we didn’t mind waiting for a table to open up inside and nope he was not friendly at all. Upon greeting he had a an annoyed facial expression and he gave me worse attitude with an annoyed angry look on his face while greeting me and said “we only have patio seating or leave.” “We’re busy because of Valentine’s Day there’s nothing” They both did not smile once were not friendly and had zero customer service positive attitude towards me. My 30th birthday was suppose to be special and they completely ruined it from their negative attitude and I wanted to leave and not eat but since it was Valentine’s Day I knew it would be very hard to get a last minute reservation anywhere else. And we had drove to eat here all the way from San Jose. I definitely wasn’t expecting to get talked to with sarcasm and rudeness and treated like I was such a bother just because I had a simple question of wanting to be accommodated inside for my kids and to celebrate my birthday as it was my first time here. I ate my food crying the rest of the time we were there. Please try to talk to management and the host and maybe remind them to smile and work on being more welcoming unless this is how it is there. My steak was also very dry almost burnt to make matters worse. I don’t understand how some people with angry looks on their faces can be in those positions. Update in response to General Manager Ry: Thank you for your response. I understand that Valentine's Day is a high-volume holiday and that reservations can be challenging. However, my concern is not about availability, it is about the professionalism and hospitality displayed during the interaction. Being busy does not excuse dismissive language or being told our only option was "patio seating or leave." As a guest who made reservations weeks in advance and drove from San Jose to celebrate my 30th birthday, I expected at minimum respectful communication and a welcoming tone. While I appreciate the invitation to return, a general offer to "come back sometime" does not fully address the experience we had. A special milestone celebration cannot simply be recreated on another random day. I would like to know: * Has this feedback been formally discussed with the manager and host on duty? * What steps are being taken to ensure guests are treated with warmth and professionalism, even during high-volume service? * Is there a way for the company to meaningfully make this right? I am not looking for excuses...I am looking for accountability and reassurance that this does not reflect STK's service standards. I look forward to your response!
