Opinions de Tacolicious San Francisco
If you find yourself in San Francisc, you absolutely must stop by Tacolicious. We stumbled upon this place while traveling for work, knowing absolutely nothing about it, and we left completely "in awe." We opted to sit at the bar, which turned out to be the best seat. He was phenomenal! Not only was he attentive, but he was incredibly informative regarding the menu. He walked us through the cocktail list and gave us the inside scoop on the food, making our experience feel personalized and top-tier. The food was the biggest surprise of all. You might think you know what to expect from a taco spot, but the flavors here are on another level. It truly feels like a five-star dining experience in a cool, approachable atmosphere.
Great atmosphere. They have some outdoor seating. They have a great space in the back for big parties. The food was great. They had specials for the loteria game night, which was nice. 3 Al pastor tacos for $10. They kept the chips coming. Thank you.
Excellent tacos as always, the carnitas is always a favorite. But wow the music was so , so sooooooo LOUD tonight— impossible to even hear the people at our table. Had to lean in to hear the server - Conversation was completely impossible during our meal- it was such a drag. We ended up leaving to get dessert somewhere else so could actually hang out and talk!!
I'm pushing towards five stars because I think they deserve it 👍 I went in during happy hour and had two little crispy tacos with chicken that were actually really good. The chips and salsa that they give you to start...is perfect... The chips feel fresh and the salsa is that really good kind... Check out the picture. I didn't get any drinks with alcohol but they looked good as they passed by. The OJ and lemon soda was yummy. The environment is comfortable. Forget about parking, play the car far away and walk. The street of Valencia is slowly decomposing... It's unfortunate but hopefully it can survive.
Found this online in search of Mexican food. I was very pleased with the recommendation because the food and service were amazing. We arrived approximately an hour before closing, but the server, Diana, was very pleasant and helpful. She took time to explain every detail regarding the food and drink menu and also suggested items. The music and ambiance were very upbeat, and the staff appeared to be enjoying themselves while assisting one another, which is nice to see. They were not rushing us to leave despite them closing while we were still dining and even offered suggestions of other places in the area that were still open. Overall, I enjoyed it very much.
Came in on a Friday night and had a great experience. We ordered 10 tacos (2 chicken, 2 beef, 1 carnitas, 1 vampiro, 2 fish, 2 shrimp) and had 1 strawberry margarita and 1 pineapple. The service was amazing. Glasses never ran dry, always asked if we needed anything and the food came out quickly as well. The chips and salsa (complimentary) were really good the first round, the second round the sauce viscosity was to liquid The only complaint I have about the dinning experience was a group who were louder than the rest of the establishment combined. This kind of made for an annoying dinning experience.
We went to Mission for dinner and decided to go Mexican. And this was a great choice as we were looking for assorted tacos. I liked the ambiance - we sat in the open patio with some cheerful lighting and frescoes. The service was quick and the staff were attentive and caring too. After munching through a bowl of fresh nachos with their home-made salsa, we ordered a pitcher of margarita and an assorted plate of tacos. All of them were great and we were glad we ordered the assortment of different tacos. Great place to visit with a nice cheerful crowd!
Amazing food, amazing ambiance and great service! The server was on point in recommending us some tequila shots! Tacos were delicious and so was the lunch special bowl. Chips and salsa for the table were great as well. Specially the salsa was perfectly spicy and overall it was a great lunch for us. Will definitely recommend this place to everyone. And looking for an occasion to come back here!
Even though I truly miss the Tacolicious/Todo El Dia on 24th. St. This location offers similar fare. The tacos are the same but served with out a salad. The chips were warm and the spicy salsa was delicious. The tortillas and their salsa tray made the tacos really pop. The proteins are all delicious, especially the cola infused carnitas. If you find yourself strolling down Valencia St. or after a show at the Chapel stop in for a couple of tacos you will be glad you did.
With a name like tacolicous I wasnt expecting much tbh but I happened by during happy hour and tried some tacos, first of all it was a great deal, 2 huge tacos for 8 bucks and I couldn’t even finish it there was that much food, it was pretty good too nothing special but good none the less, the way the food came out was nice and aesthetic and also got the chips and salsa free which was a nice touch and on top of that the service was great everyone was super welcoming and nice! I’ll definitely stop by again to try some more tacos!
Food was good, we had the lunch special (2 tacos and a soup or salad, for $17, no drink). I had the chicken or egg soup, shrimp taco, and Coca-Cola braised carnitas. Wife had the Marina salad, fish taco, and shot-and-a-beer braised chicken. We're also had the chile con queso and churritos. Quality was top notch. The soup was great, the salad even better the shrimp was small like Gulf shrimp, but that was great for a taco, big shrimp don't always work in a taco. The Coca-Cola carnitas was good but needed something, couldn't put my finger on it. Fish was fresh and tasty, and the chicken was fine. For the queso, it was good, but more of the chile would have brought it to another level. The churritos were over-cooked a bit and the oil probably wasn't hot enough, they came out a little oily/greasy. Caramel sauce slightly over done. Will definitely come back and see if the small wiggles we had were one-offs. Chill atmosphere, good to great food, excellent service. Service was outstanding, Nico wasn't at the table too much or too little, just right.
Solid tacos in a lively, energetic space with super friendly staff! I visited Tacolicious for a quick late lunch, and their tacos perfectly hit the spot after a long morning / afternoon running around doing errands. I was there during an off hour (~3:30 PM), but there were still a good number of people around, so I can only imagine how crowded it gets during the peak meal times. The complimentary chips and salsa were lovely and a great into to the main courses; I got two of their fish tacos, which were quite tasty. The fish was well-fried with a nice crispy exterior, and it has a good crunch and pop of freshness from the cabbage, creaminess from the crema. The taco was quite flavorful on its own, but they also serve every taco with a spread of three salsas and extra pickled onions. The salsas are all very tasty and range from not spicy at all to extremely spicy, and they each elevate the tacos in their own way. Can’t wait to come back!
It was decent. We got the mushroom and veggie taco. You get two tacos per item. The filling was great. I just wish they gave an additional tortilla to eat the fillings that fell. Their complimentary tortilla chips were decent. The sauces that came on the side were good. I did not find anything to be exceptionally tasty. But it was good overall. They have both indoor and outdoor seating.
Tacolicious is an understatement! Oh my goodness these tacos were so delicious. And each of them had different flavors that left us wanting more BUT we just couldn’t. I’m telling you go in hungry and be ready to eat. Then, for good measure take a walk because you’re going to need to walk off those calories! I’m so glad we chose this place. As fair warning the tacos are spicy 🌶 so if you’re sensitive to spice let them know ahead of time. Other than that I’m so hopeful you’re going to #enjoy your experience here ✌🏼💕
They were a little short staffed but they communicated well and I’d say the service is excellent. Really nice atmosphere and the watermelon margarita was delicious. The food was ok: you can’t really go wrong with queso fundido, it was delicious! The tuna tostada was quite good. The tacos on the other hand were only ok, a little meh, they have a lot of competition in the Mission for excellent tacos and these were average … Heart broken after only one dessert choice.
The portions were Decent. The taste was average. I wish it came with guac or avocado. Vegetarian friendly. I ordered one of two vegetarian taco options. The chips and salsa were complimentary. I also got the horchata it was good a lot of ice but tasted authentic. Brussels sprouts were nicely charred. It was a nice one time visit I don’t think there’s enough for vegetarians to go back. Give it a try
Stopped for a late lunch and ordered 4 tacos and the home made guacamole. We were underwhelmed by the tacos, feeling they lacked flavour. Guacamole was little more than mushed up avocado and was vastly improved when we added a squeeze of lime-not what I’d expect for a $11 side. Staff were reasonably friendly, but some a little dismissive when bringing food. Outside space was nice for sitting and eating on a sunny afternoon.
This review is for the service, not the food bc we didn’t even get that far.. My 5yo daughter and I came here today as part of a school fundraiser. Waited in line for 15 mins. When it was finally our turn, I told the hostess I want to place a to go order. She punted me to the bar and told me the bartender would help me and continued to seat guests after me. Waited at the bar for 10 minutes, the bartender wouldn’t even look at me. I finally went up to her and asked if I can place a Togo order. She said she was too busy making drinks and it would take her a while. I went back and waited for the hostess and asked her if she can place my order since the bartender said she was too busy. Hostess told me to wait on the side while she seated guests and would “get to me in a sec” the “sec” turned into another 10 minutes. At this point I’m seeing all the people in line behind us seated and munching on chips and salsa and some even had food coming out. My poor daughter had been hungry after school this whole time. I should’ve just asked for a table and ordered To go there. I couldn’t eat at the restaurant bc I have a 2year old and husband waiting at home. Shouldn’t guests be served in the order they arrive? Needless to say the staff needs to be trained in proper etiquette. A person should not have to wait 40 mins just to place a to go order after already waiting in line for their turn
