Really good tortas. very nice server there.
The poc chuc was delicious. Friendly people and good service. Atmosphere is really casual, family feel. Definitely going back to try more Mayan dishes!
Great! The Yucatan dishes & flavors are really quite different to other Mexican restaurants I'm used to. Their handmade tortillas, panuchos, and salbutes are excellent, and all the meats are well flavored. Interior is a bit dingy, but the food makes up for it. Portions are hearty, too.
So delicious. Got two tacos and they were tasty, filling, and unique. Staff is also very friendly. Some of the best tacos I've had (-:
Went on Christmas Day. They were very busy but efficient. Food was great. very authentic. Can't wait to return so That I can eat more from the menu.
Fantastic restaurant. It's small and cozy. The food is amazing. You should definitely check this one out.
Incredible food, authentic, and well-hidden secret in the Mission. Cash only.
Great carnitas tacos and very friendly staff! The orange habanero vinegar-less hot sauce was fresh and unique.
Holy cow this place is fantastic. The food comes in huge orders and has fantastic flavor.
Great food. Nice people
food is acceptable, the price is not expensive, the staff is friendly and polite, inside is not very clean, but acceptable, if you are not squeamish, the toilet is very dirty
Super delicious!! I loved the food and the vibe was very chill.
Best food, original taste. Just like in the Mayan riviera
El menudo o molongo, salsas and tortillas are great, looking forward to visit them again
Awesome food, and place. The apps are free.
Home-made tortillas, tender meat, excellent salsa, friendly staff.
Im from az, I love my Mexican food but, the tamales, the civichè, the bean dip, are very rich with flavor and if you are looking for power in spices, this is it!!! The fish is well cooked and comes off real easy, not dry, the masa fir the tamales are incredible, not like the typical corn masa tamales you get on the streets or costco... its like.. sponge cake moist and rich in flavor. And the salsa, the yellow one.... the flavor kicks you off your feet. It's very spicy but wow the flavor has you coming back! The owner is super kind and amazing! Pricing is super fair for the quality!
To be honest, I went here because all the other restaurants on Mission Street on New Year's Eve were closed. The staff were warm and inviting. Because I was leaving for the airport, I only ordered a torta. It was delicious!!!
Came across this place by accident. Food was homey and delicious. Different than other places I’ve been to in the mission. The cheese empanada was fantastic and the pollo con papas had a rich, complex flavor. Homemade tortillas were also great! Service and people were really nice - I’ll definitely go back!
Wow! This place is absolutely a 5 star. If you’ve never had Yucatán food then please do yourself a favor and give this place a try. It’s absolutely amazing, I had the pollo de papas soup and it was absolutely spectacular. I’m kicking myself for trying so long to try this place out, because that definitely was one of the best dishes I’ve had in San Francisco. Whether you are visiting or a neighborhood local who hasn’t stopped in please do yourself a favor and give this place a try. You absolutely will not be disappointed!
4.8 stars. these were some really good authentic tacos (coming from mexicans!). We loved the panuchos and tacos. Tortillas much better than other restaurants, you can tell it was handmade. The cochinita and poc chuc were very good. the chicken tamale was not our favorite but still good. They also let us use their restrooms which where very clean. Would come back!
I am super Yucateco, I love the food that has love put into it. My mom makes the food and this feels like her cooking. The flavors blends perfectly with the aguas frescas. Thank you. Also they don't have an online menu or website so check the pictures out and see it gets your attention.
Hearty Yucatecan cooking served up in a no-frills Mission storefront. The poc chuc, a marinated pork chop chargrilled to perfection. The cochinita pibil, fork-tender stewed pork served with handmade tortillas. A required stopover when exploring the rich diversity of Mexican regional cuisines.
Best tacos hands down. Don't expect much in terms of restaurant fanciness but that makes it better. Enjoy these fantastic, amazing tacos.

Great food and friendly staff
I have had menudo at many places and and this place has the best mondongo (aka menudo). The broth is so flavorful. The poc chuc and cabeza de res are also my favorites. The owner is really friendly and generous.
It is always amazing. The food is amazing as well. There will never be a better place than this place. Me and my family will always love this place. The cooks love there jobs too i know this because they make the food taste like something you will eat in heaven. If you are thinking to go eat at this place you should go and eat. This is written by the son of the Avila's family. Love you guys and hope u guys have a good one. Real Mexican yucatan style.
Always feels like I'm family!!..enjoy the welcoming greetings!!..gracias
Awesome food, Friendly staff, very unpretentious little place; the plate of food looked like it could be from a $50 a person artisan hipster joint. The flavor matched the look, absolutely delicious. I got a black turkey panucha, a vegetable panucha, and maybe the best cheese empanada I've ever had. With a liter bottle of Coke, $20. I will definitely return.

Very good tacos, casual neighborhood place.
Good Yucatec autentic food. No parking!
This is a delicious, Central American family-run "hole in the wall" restaurant. All the food is authentic and freshly made at the time of order, including the corn tortillas and empanadas. Being there is like being on Anthony Bourdain's "Parts Unknown" in a small village- walking to the bathroom means you go through the kitchen, surrounded by the whole family from sister to Grandma. Seating is not fancy, but comfortable. Service is good and the servers are justifiably proud of the restaurant and happy to answer questions.
A touch of grunge, but I've had consistently tasty meals here, all at a very affordable price point. You can get a whole fried fish here for $11. Perfect crunchy skin, soft chunks of fish, and plenty of pickled onions and sides to accompany it. Not much sauce on this, but get the chicken mole ($9) for ample brown sauces to drown the rice and thick housemade tortillas. The carnitas ($9) were also solid here, big chunks of oink oink with avocado slices. Never a wait, and plenty of neighborhood folks in here! Cash only.
Good for the price. Also different for those that like Mexican food
Very basic location but food is amazing!!! Give a try and confirm it :)

The food was great! A little salty but good. The menu’s translation was not great - some items claimed to be chicken when they were actually pork - but not the biggest deal.

Nothing quite like watching Mexican game shows sponsored by anti-diarrheal pills, while eating your chili rellenos. Too yummy!!!
Grate place great taste just maybe little to small but so far i go back and eat at yucatasia
good place to get Yuvatan food. good portions.
Food is good service not so much.
Ordered the chicken mole to go. Rice wrapped in tin foil and mole in tall soup container. I had to find a plate somewhere in order to combine the 2. Mole sauce had very little flavor and felt watered down like it was really watery. Rice was simply white rice with no seasoning. Also came with tortillas. A little disappointed but I write this so maybe they make improvements on the take out experience and mole situation. Also wish they would have incorporated vegetables in one way or another. Chicken was tender and soft. Maybe steer clear of the mole, all the other dishes look more invested in. Great customer service!
Divey comfortable spot with decent Yucatecan food. Nothing is spectacular but it’s yummy. Didn’t serve tomato and avocado with the Pollo Pibil plate that says on the menu that it comes with both. Pickled cabbage and onion had a bit of an old flavor but still edible. Salsas on the table not very good. Excellent tortillas and flavorful beans. Very kind service and tables were clean.

it's good and authentic Yucatec food but need to change menu in a way that it will give you a la carte option.. also the option of payment is pretty bad.. cause it doesn't advice you that the only form of payment is cash. Good thing my girlfriend had some cash or don't know what would happen if you don't carry cash. It was my first time there and I thought that you could pay with credit or debit like most places now a days. Just saying it would be nice for them to put a sign or advice their customers before they order.
It's not really a Mexican restaurant. The atmosphere is off, like the owners don't care about it. The food is ok but the prices are rather high. Accept only cash and don't even inform about that in advance
Me and my wife were there last weekend and were surprised as how filthy this place is, on my way to the restroom I couldn’t avoid looking at how dirty the kitchen is. We will never come back. Reynaldo.
Bad food, the tamarind weather bad is only color no flavor the chicken was smelling bad 🤢🤮 we left with stomach empty
Dirty place customers bring their own beer into restaurant. My son got Carne asada tacos and got colitis and gastroenteritis next day I wonder how clean their kitchen is. Not coming back for sure sorry I really wanted to like it 😔
