Most romantic dinner in Baja Sur!
Attention to detail was wonderful, personable and loved the atmosphere. Eduardo was our server and went out of his way to find an answer to help me with something that had nothing to do with our food. Very grateful!
Wonderful restaurant nestled behind Main Street. Great menu with many options. Good service. Many interesting dishes. One of our favorites in San Jose .
This is a very relaxing boutique hotel right in the art district of San Jose del Cabo. It's not noisy or crowded, the courtyard is built to be breezy and cool, and the people are friendly and helpful.
Omg, everything is delicious, food is great drinks are fascinating, the place is gorgeus. Love it, definitely a place to visit in los Cabos.
The gazpacho was some of the best I have ever had and the octopus was amazing. Great service and the drinks were excellent!
Definitely not a cheap date, but the food and room are excellent!
Wonderful dinner, chicken red mole, and the best margaritas I had in San Jose
Great food and service. Pricey but worth the money for a romantic or special evening.
The empty plates tell you all you need to know. Wow, just wow!! Great service and amazing food!!
Excellent food and service, Raul the bartender was a great help, as was Maria the hostess. Thanks!
Beautiful place in the heart of downtown San Jose del cabo. Try. The octopus aguachile
Excellent restaurant w/I Casa de Natalia. Friendly staff and great food

As always, dinner was phenomenal and we ate too much!!!!
Fine table. Excellent wait staff. Not too loud.
Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and good drinks
Awesome food! Try the spring rolls!
Great margaritas -- Happy hour 2/1 *****
Excellent food, very pricey.
Amazing service, delightful atmosphere, and delicious food.
My family and I were lucky to try this place for dinner just after sunset on a one night stopover in San Juan del Cabo. Excellent food. Fresh ceviche, cold Pacifico and Chef's shrimp tacos hit the spot after a day of travel. There were many more interesting dishes on the menu, but we were in the mood for simplicity. Tasty, thoughtfully prepared dishes, well-timed delivery and a beautiful setting made for a memorable and deeply enjoyable meal. Manager Lars ran a smart dinner service and was gracious and attentive while also training up his young staff. The setting of Hotel Natalia's Mi Cocina at the edge of the Plaza Mijares spreading out before the Misión San José del Cabo was alive with a community celebration on a beautiful mid June evening. Highly recommended on all fronts.
My husband and I visited San Jose de Cabo for the first time and what a gem we found in downtown San Jose. From the mango margaritas to the key lime pie, each dish was made with love. We had wonderful veggie egg rolls as an appetizer and chef recommended shrimp tacos and seafood risotto for entrees. Friendly and attentive service by Lars the mgr., inside of a 18 room boutique hotel. Don’t miss this one!
We came here on our honeymoon and the front desk lady recommended this place to us and we were not disappointed! It was absolutely amazing!!! Beautiful place, we went when the sun was setting and they turned on the outdoor lights and it was very romantic. We had yummy salad and I ordered the cheese ravioli and my husband ordered the steak. It was delicious. The ravioli was rich in flavor. We definitely will come back next time we visit! Thanks for the great customer service!
There are many great restaurants in the Cabo area, but I don't think any are better then Mi Cocina; Innovative, exciting food in a romantic and beautiful environment. The Baja oyster bar serves fresh delicious oysters. The roasted octopus was the best version of that dish I've ever had. Even simple things like the chef's tacos are interesting and innovative, and the rissoto is just amazing. Even the bread service, with a Guajillo chili olive oil dipping sauce is great The location in downtown San Jose Del Cabo is charming with lots of foot traffic and interesting little shops. We are actually canceling reservations at another rerecommendedstaurant to return to me Cosina. It is highly recommended.
Mi Cocina is never a disappointment, the food is always on point and the service is always excellent. I love the grilled octopus dish paired with a margarita.
Food was incredible, staff were very engaged with doing a good job. Location and atmosphere was lovely.
Our group spent the afternoon shopping, viewing galleries, and tequila tasting. We stopped at Mi Cocina for drinks and a light dinner. All enjoyed their food: tortilla soup, beet salad, vegetable spring rolls, caprese salad, calamari, sushi rolls were all enjoyed. This is our 5th time returning. We try to visit this place during each trip to San Jose del Cabo. It's not inexpensive but we all agreed that it was worth the $$.
Can't believe this place has not been reviewed on Google+ until now! If you are a foodie, this place is where you need to visit. Chef Loic Tenoux hails from Europe, and has lived in Mexico for many years. He has created an amazing fusion of Euro-Mexican cuisine. I'm not a professional food critic, but I know what I like. I *love* this place! The wine selection is top-notch, the ambiance and service is warm and inviting, and the food is outstanding. Really - if you are visiting the Los Cabos area, make a reservation at this place. You will be delighted.
A delightful multi-level courtyard bar and foodie's restaurant lying beyond the hotel entrance just off SJdelC's festive main square. Creative cocktails (and any other drinks you'd like) and dishes that are creative, delightful and beautifully presented. There's a comal in one corner, providing live cooking entertainment and guaranteed freshness. Service was attentive and friendly, and overall it was a wonderful dinner for the six of us. I expect you'd find it the same. Thanks Mi Cocina!
yummy!! the vegetarian spring rolls are to die for!! we enjoyed 2 margaritas, shared spring rolls, the goat cheese salad, a chicken quesadilla, the key lime pie and a coffee for $65usd. not cheap but good enough that we will return before we head home.
Truly amazing dinner and drinks last night. Jumbo shrimp with that Damiana tequila liqueur was to die for. Great live entertainment with a flamenco group put it over the top.
Came here with my wife on Thursday (San Jose Art Walk) and had an amazing time. We thought the food and entertainment were awesome. My wife had a glass of Malbec followed by a Mexican wine and I had a mezcal mixed drink. We started with a roasted shrimp Caesar salad which was delicious. For our entrees we had lamb/cheese stuffed chili and a chocolate chicken dish. Both dishes were excellent. We finished with a key lime pie (not as tart as in Florida). The best part of our dining experience was listening to the house band. Oscar and the guitarist were truly amazing. They took American songs and gave them a Latin twist. He played a diverse mix of rumba, cha cha and samba. We would highly recommend this restaurant especially with the live music. We will be back!
We dined on Valentines Day and the atmosphere was romantic and inviting. Great music, awesome food and wonderful service. I had the preset menu and every bite was delightful. My husband’s Argentinian steak was cooked perfectly. All around a great experience!
Food was exceptional especially the grilled octopus and the chocolate organic chicken (not mole)! The filet mignon was done well. The martinis were wonderful - the dirty ‘n spicy and the chocolate martini!! Our waiter Eduardo took very good care of us and he was very knowledgeable in helping to choose our dishes. The ambiance was top-notch, a perfect evening!! Oscar and Fernando were great entertainment!
Highly recommend happy hour margaritas! Tina was our server and we loved her, so helpful and kind. The space is stunning! Perfect day sipping margaritas in the sun!
Wonderful food & experience. Highly recommend the grilled octopus and the risotto (more of a seafood experience than risotto, but SO good). The pork chop was also amazing. We had a group of six, and no one was disappointed. Highly recommend! So good!
This was a wonderful restaurant. The food was amazing. The service was top notch. My mother and I shared the surf and turf entree. It was cooked to perfection and was very tender. There is a very large selection of adult beverages. Everyone at our table enjoyed their entrées.
Two dinners one with great band present. Small restaurant in out door courtyard. Excellent cuisine although we had mainly seafood which was cooked perfectly. One night shared very good Key Lime pie. Service was very attentive and polite. Evening when there was live music was over the top.
Everything was wonderful from the woman that greeted us, to the chef coming out to ask how we liked our meal. Musicians serenaded us. I had sea bass with roasted vegetables that were cooked to perfection. My friend had rib eye tacos were wonderful . This is really a fantastic restaurant that you should try while in San Jose.
Amazing food and service. Axle Eduardo was great. Eat the shrimp tacos and ribeye tacos. You’ll love it. Oh and chocolate martinis.
Excelente comida y servicio. Las cucharitas el pulpo y carne al vacío lo mejor.
Excelente presenración de los platos. Muy recomendables los rollitos y el gazpacho de sandia
Muy rica la comida y el postre de pie de limón 😋 una delicia
Excelente lugar, agradable y deliciosa comida.

We were coming down for the Art Walk, and were looking for a place for a nice dinner. Tina greeted us outside, and was very helpful in letting us look at the menu and answering some questions about dietary restrictions and allergies. We had a few appetizers, the Queso Fundido, and the Tuna Tataki, both wonderful. My partner had the shrimp tacos, which were great, and I had the ribeye steak tacos, which, wow, some of the best taco's I have ever had! Service was amazing as well, everyone was so friendly! Very cute place, I highly recommend for a nice romantic dinner!
Super fresh seafood, great service, excellent wine list! Highly recommend!
We shared a great evening experience with friends our food was good service was great and great entertainment the perfect evening in San Jose
We finally had dinner at Mi Cocina after many breakfasts. The atmosphere after the sun goes down is very relaxing and comfortable. The service was very good, kind of a leisurely paced meal, which was fine. The food was also very good, seafood risotto for me, stuffed pepper for my partner and we shared some magnificent chocolate mousse for dessert. Nice restaurant experience.
Better than average for a hotel restaurant. Definitely a nice small venue. Mainly hotel guests so far that I have seen, although we are told that on Art Walk Thursdays that it fill with public patrons. Having done dinner and breakfast (breakfast only for guests) it has been very nice. Only complaint on service is for breakfast when there is just one server for however many guests arrive at the same time, so can be a bit slow. The French Toast was fantastic. I thought I would miss the syrup, but the melting ice cream combined with the fruit and caramelized cinnamon sugar makes syrup quite irrelevant. The Huevos Rancheros was good, but I would more describe it as what I consider a Tostada. The steaks were both beautifully charred while cooked medium and incredibly tender. The Key Lime pie was not as tart as I expected, more like a nice cheese cake. The gram cracker crust and toasted cream/ marshmallow top were very good. The crème brûlée was flavorful, but surprisingly served chilled.
We passed several restaurants in San Jose del Cabo in search of the perfect dinner, and finally found this gem. The ambiance is unparalleled, allowing us to sit in a sunken area away from the main square, listening to live music and running water. The food was incredible (get the organic red chicken mole and the lobster tacos), and the service was amazing. Eduardo and Tina took excellent care of us and made great recommendations. I would definitely come back here again!
We first visited three years ago and our memory did not disappoint. Mi Cocina is a lovely spot just off the square. Service is great and the food is top-notch. A friend said it was the tastiest mole she has ever had... ever! My son said his steak was better than the one the previous night at an infamous farm restaurant. You won't regret going here
We were back in San Jose del Cabo for the first time in 26 years and this was a wonderful place to reminisce. The atmosphere is wonderful with a nice live band playing softly in the background. Service was great and the food was excellent. We had the steak and the sea bass and it was a really nice meal. I’d definitely highly recommend this place.
Another great little restaurant tucked away in some boutique hotel. The food and atmosphere was splendid. We only had a small lunch, as we were saving room for a delicious steak later that evening, but the tempura shrimp was great! The Apple pie with ice cream was good but not what I was expecting. The filling was basically dry and served cold. Now it wasn't dry in that sense of the word, but it just wasn't juicy like an american apple pie. But overall, it was good. Would definitely go again. And even the hotel was very cute. I would even consider staying there.
I was pleasantly surprised by Mi Cocina. It is a nice outdoor setting hidden away from the modest entrance. The food was very good however the I felt it was a little overpriced, not way overpriced but a little.
We came for breakfast. All the food we had was very good!
Nice spot. Food was excellent. I loved the mustard chicken I had, and the quinoa was great! And I don't like quinoa as a rule.
Interesting drinks and very attentive staff. You can sense the pride and care they take. Very nice place.
Great atmosphere and food... hidden gem!!
Excellent appies and great dinner
We stopped for cocktails and an appetizer, the Margaritas were great, great tasting but a little strong. Had the tempura squid. This was cook very well, nice coating, crisp. However the dip was very simple and disappointing, tartar sauce. A nice sweet thi chili would have been much better.
Buenos ostiones y excelentes tacos de pescado estilo Ensenada. Buena atención !!
The best thing I had to eat through the first few days in Cabo and we're only eating out (and a lot!). Highly recommend the mezcalina for a beverage. For food all of the grilled octopus, the B.O.B. Spoons and tuna tataki were equally delicious. Only reason not 5 stars is price for beer and drinks, whole menu is more expensive than most places but the food is also better than most places. Bottled beer doesn't need to be double the price though. This is a good spot for a romantic dinner or double date if you're down to spend a few extra bucks. Would come back again FOR SURE. Server was also fantastic.
I recently visited Mi Cocina while staying at Casa Natalia. The food was great, the drinks were not very good. The service was good up until it was time to pay. Our check was much more than I was expecting, but was not something I contested or even mentioned. My issue was that when it was time to pay I was informed by our server that they only accepted cash or American Express. What?? This did not make any sense to me- it was not posted anywhere and I had not been informed by our server of this until the check was delivered. I had neither cash or an AMEX on hand. He kind of shrugged me off until I asked if it could be charged to my room, at which point his tune changed. He asked if I had a Visa on file, which I did, and that he would apply it to my room. So you can accept Visa now, huh? It all felt very shady to me and I did not return for the rest of my stay because of this incident.
Overpriced. The ambiance is nice, and the food and drinks are good. Service was fine. But the prices are at least double what they should be. It wasn't enough better to be worth the splurge.
The place is lovely and so peaceful. The chefs tacos were superb! Delicate, beautiful, delicious. Can you imagine saying tacos are elegant? These really are The service is a whole other matter. The middle aged bartender was arrogant and rude and did not welcome being bothered. The margarita was by far the worst I’ve ever had. The only identifiable flavor was sour. The waiter had absolutely no personality. He was unengaged and just passively going through the bare minimum motions. It turns out they are only open from 2-10 on Sundays. I had made reservations for 2:00 because it said they were full until then. I was the only person there. They were not set up. No one greeted me. The bartender seemed irritated to be asked if I could sit down and abruptly motioned me to sit anywhere.
They're doing their level best. But damn if this wasn't the worst cup of coffee I had in Mexico.
The food was excellent however we were charged a 100% tax on our bill so instead of $45 for 2 drinks, guacamole, & a 3 taco dinner, we were charged $90. Avoid at all costs.
We were walking by and saw the sign for happy hour, that said 2 for 1 cocktails, so we decided to come in for a couple drinks. Only classic margaritas, martinis, and pacificos are available for the happy hour special. We ordered the 2 for 1 margarita, which wasn’t great tasting and the alcohol tasted cheap, but we ordered another because there were a few minutes left for happy hour. The staff was very friendly and attentive, however when the bill came we saw that it was $250 pesos for a margarita! Which is expensive for a basic margarita, even for Cabo. You can get a nice cocktail for that price. I feel like that isn’t what a basic margarita normally costs there, but they upped the price for the 2 for 1. Doesn’t feel like an honest place.
Bland food and expensive. Limited menu for lunch on a Sunday and not everything on the menu was available. My wife and I each had three shrimp tacos that were very small (2 small shrimp in each taco) and cost MX$495 per plate.
Tiny portion sizes. Spent 80 bucks for two small plates of lunch tacos. You will need at least 3 orders of tacos per person to get full. They put very very little meat and lots of guacamole on each taco.
No joke, ordered 3 drinks to go. $80US. They were also terrible tasting. Tourist trap rip off. Stay away. No wonder place was empty during Art walk.
Our waiter never checked on us after taking order. Food took over an hour to come out only after complaining about it to other waiters. Food was sub par. He added an extra entrée and cocktail to our bill. Trying to overcharge us. I do not recommend this restaurant
However. Beware that you may not get what you paid for. We ended up having a bit of a fall out about how many Margaritas we should get. Order 3 get 6. Not true. All that disagreement for 4 oz of alcohol. Make the customer happy.
The restaurant set up was pretty, but that doesn't make up for the rest. Unfortunately I have to agree with the negative reviews regarding the food. The tortilla soup was ok, but my beetroot salad was oily, cheese sweet and I didn't finish it. My husband's chicken (25 USD) tasted off and he only ate the fries. Despite this we paid for the full meal and left. We should have left when we saw that no one else was dinning there...
