Went there for an early dinner. Ordered their Fajitas and it’s really tasty. Food was great and service was good.

On-time pick-up for a large group. The food was great and Marcos and his team were very easy to work with. All the meals were labeled with each person's name and the food was very good. Excellent experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for group orders.

Maryann is hands down the best General Manager I’ve encountered at any Chili’s—from up and down California coast to Vegas to Texas. She consistently delivers A1 service and is an absolute pleasure to be around. She takes the time to talk to my family and I. She never leaves our table without making sure we are taken care of. You can immediately feel the strong leadership in the building; it shows in how well the entire team works together. Everyone is friendly, attentive, and always willing to help. No matter who you ask, they’re on top of it. An outstanding experience every time. We love our Downtown San Jose Team. The great service brings us back, and the food and drinks are always great.

The staff are really attentive and caring. My aunt wanted her steak medium well and ended up getting well done. She was nervous to ask because of bad experiences other places. This Chili's had no problem whatsoever replacing her steak and MADE SURE she liked the new one. 10/10 experience. Chili's itself just needs to alternate their food options a little more/redo the menu so it's easy for all ages to understand.

We went for lunch on a weekday, so it wasn't very busy. But for some reason the food arrived late. Otherwise service was great and ambience is also pleasant. The portion sizes are quite big.

Haven't eaten in Chili's for over 5 years. Atmosphere is pretty good. Music playing in the background and tele showing sports. Can still hear each other talk. We were seated fast and our food quickly arrived. Food was delicious. Steak was tender and the loaded mash potatoes were delicious. Shrimp and steak fajitas were flavorful and the steak were also tender. Side of black beans was delicious. The only downside was the rice. It was very dry.

Food was okay, the FRIES were over salted, NACHOS where okay (prefer garnished toppings). Service was great at the lunch hour (Wednesday). Love the atmosphere gives a good vibe!

A pretty mid Chili's overall. The food was decent and the wait staff were nice enough, but it felt overstaffed. Lots of the wait staff were just chatting in the kitchen or hanging out by the restrooms the whole time we were there. Actually, one guy was literally blocking the way, butt out to the doors. Great to see staff having fun, but could do with being more mindful. The restrooms were clean, though. We probably won't come back, but there are worse options, so this is still an okay restaurant.

As my first time there I didn't know what to expect, but chilis isn't that good. I got the fries and chicken tenders but mostly tried the triple sampler that all my friends got. Getting to basically try everything, in the end it's not really worth it. Though I may be back due to social obligation I'm unsure if I'll ever like chilis. The service was pretty slow but it seemed like a busy night. The chicken tenders were standard, a bit dry and the fries were alright, a bit salty. The sauces were great, the house made ranch is something to celebrate. Bark!~

11am, came in exactly as they opened. Jason took care of me. I see 2 people working plus a shift manager / host. Doors to the establishment have dirty windows and chipped paint. There’s also a side door to pick up to go items which could be convenient. I asked for suggestions on a drink. He recommended tropical sunrise. It was tasty. They do have an amazing drinking menu. The prices are way better than a typical bar TBH. The menu is overwhelming and there’s no way they can make this many items well, which I found out later. There’s an option for unlimited soup, chips and side salad. I’m intrigued but that’s for another trip. Utensils are average quality and average cleanliness. The self pay machine is disgusting and that’s putting it lightly. Do not touch that device. There’s a draft beer board that has a few options and I’m told it rotates. Kind of cool if you want to experiment. Food was average, drink was weak, service was decent. 1 server for 7 tables can be stressful for them. Overall, it’s a cheap place to get effectively fast food. Definitely a spot for drinks with the $6 monthly margaritas. Parking: plenty b/c it’s a shopping center Time to be acknowledged: immediately Time to be seated: immediately Time to get food: quick (under 10 min) Time to get water: not offered at all Time to get bar drink: less than 4 min Time to get check once finished: 15+ min so far. Unacceptable. Notes for the GM: Don’t let servers focus on new customers. As the time increases, the tip can go inversely proportional. I gave him 25% but others might not be so kind. Servers should not seat people. Make the host do their job properly. They need to focus on existing customers. I’ll be back here but not for a date. Good for friend meet ups.

I visited Chili’s Grill & Bar at 543 Coleman Ave, San Jose, CA 95110 and want to describe exactly what happened. We ordered Fajitas for Two with extra chicken and extra steak. The taste was generally okay, but the steak was very undercooked, and nobody asked us what level of doneness we preferred. Maybe we should have clarified ourselves, but in most restaurants staff usually ask. After that we ordered the famous Molten Chocolate Cake with ice cream. The dessert itself tasted good, but the plates it was served on were greasy and poorly washed. When you touched the plate with a finger, it left a greasy mark. It looked dirty and unpleasant. Sometimes in the dessert there was a strange taste, like small bits of baking soda or powder not in every bite, but noticeable in some parts. We also ordered lemonades and asked for no ice. The drinks were normal, but they were served in plastic cups that looked cheap and not very clean. I understand some places use plastic cups, but visually they did not look good and lowered the overall impression. I would have taken photos or videos, but we were there with our child and I didn’t have the time to document everything. The most important part is what happened after. My husband and I ate the same food. About an hour later he became very sick with stomach problems and had to run to the bathroom. Later that night around 5 a.m., the same thing happened to me strong stomach pain and repeated urgent trips to the toilet. We were literally both stuck in the bathroom with stomach pain after this visit. Before the restaurant we only ate fresh homemade soup, so it is very unlikely the issue came from home food. I understand that many people go to this restaurant and love it. I actually liked this place before too. But this time it was simply too much, and it’s impossible to stay silent about it. I’m very glad I did not feed this food to my child, because if adults had such symptoms, I don’t even want to imagine how it could affect a child. I’m also sure we are not the only ones who may have experienced something like this many people probably just stay quiet. I will not stay quiet. If it were possible to give less than one star, I would give less than one star, because even one star feels like too much for this experience. Decide for yourself whether to go or not, but if you do go —please be careful.
