Opinions de Dave's Hot Chicken San Jose
While I dont really frequent Dave's, their new chicken bites are really solid. Their normal tenders are ok but isn't my style but the bites are one of the best I've had in fast casual chicken. Pricing is also quite fair for what you get so definitely worth a visit.
Drove by several times near my home and thought it’s another chicken restaurant. One day, company treated for lunch and to my amaze its very good chicken sandwich. It was deliciously favored and complimented with seasoned fries. I have tried other places like Chicken Drip and Angry Chicks and Dave’s Hot Chicken comes on top! My kids could agree on this place and we had it 3 times in less than a 2 weeks. My last order is the party pack of 10 pieces and the chicken comes big whole breast meat, toast, pickles, special sauce, tasteful, and crunchy. We ate the loaded fries on the way home. The team at Prospect Rd, San Jose location has always been helpful and friendly. I recommend you try it and see for yourself.
If I could give this restaurant 6 out of 5 stars I would. They make the best halal chicken sliders. The staff is very polite, and they are open late. I got the 2 slider meal, and my husband got 3 sliders. I had mine with no spice, but he tried 3 different levels of spice: none, mild lite, and mild. I had a taste of each and we agreed that mild was the best, to my surprise. You can actually see a color gradient on the chicken as the spice level increases. I highly recommend this restaurant.
The waitress was really nice! She helped us with choosing the food, it was our first time here and we really enjoyed it
The ordering app bugged out. I tried ordering through both my phone and at the kiosks. All had a weird Uh Oh! error message when I tried to pay. At least the staff was very helpful and I was able to walk over to the cashier and order it through them. My order was 2 sliders with fries $17.49 and mini sliders $8. I noticed the length of the chicken is shorter than before. Regardless, it tasted great. This took me back to my first time tasting a Dave's Hot Chicken sandwich. Good memories. They have a good team here. The food, wait times and helpfulness all shows. The man with hat double checked my order before I walked out. I appreciate the little things. Extra points for being open until 12am.
I tried Dave's Hot Chicken and grabbed the tender meal. It was really good—super flavorful. I went with the extra hot, and while it was spicy, I think I could’ve handled more. The unlimited fountain drinks were a nice touch, especially after all that heat. Also, it’s halal, which is a huge plus. Definitely a solid spot if you're into spicy chicken!
First time trying Dave's was at a San Diego location. Awesome to realize there was a location close to where I grew up so I gave them a try! Ordered a Dave's #2 and a Dave's #3, adding cheese to the sliders. The pricing here is a bit more expensive than the SD pricing. Lots of seating inside. Flavors are just the same as the one in SD! Vanessa was extremely friendly...shoutout to her! I can definitely see Dave's being super busy when Prospect kicks back up for school...so be weary of that. Parking can be difficult in the small lot.
Franchesco was great. He was very kind and understanding. The food was also great.

Food are great! Staff are very nice and the girl works there came and check if we need anything, not many fast food chain would do that.
They are certified halal which plus ➕️ 😏 customers service also great way much better Macdonald.. I would recommend it. Fresh and clean .
The chicken was amazing and and very large. I had an amazing meal.
First time trying Dave’s Hot Chicken and this location was brand new. I split a #2 with my husband since we were both not super hungry and it was perfect! Chicken was very moist and good flavor.
This fried chicken is SO GOOD! Look forward to eating here all week. Chicken is bomb, fries are crispy. I always see Dammys when I go in on Thursdays, and she rocks! Love this place!
I would like to inform the public of West San best Jose that they do not carry the Fallout collaboration of Dave's Hot Chicken. And I was deeply sadden that I could not enjoy the merchandise. This is after talking to the cashier, Paola, and finding out I was late for this special event. I was about to leave when cashier informed the menue has been updated and I should try some of the new product. With her friendly and bubbly personality I was inclined. I was not disappointed on the food or the time it took to make it and I do not regret ordering food regardless if I did not get my merchandise. The service was phenomenal and it felt like I've was eating at someone home. Something you dont see in major fast food franchises. I will be back when I do my shopping in the plaza.
Super friendly, Paola the cashier gives very good service. food is very yummy and the wait time is very quick, the dine is very clean and so are the bathrooms. Best music is always on! def recommend :)
Fun hangout space, the music is always good. Paola is a great host, it was my first time a few days ago and she explained the menu and recommended some items! The food was great as well, the sliders are really good.
Great service. The fries and the Mac n Cheese are AMAZING. The wait time is fairly short and the staff continuously check up on you to see if you need anything, which is extremely rare in fast food places. Paola is super nice and and is super thoughtful giving a great service. I will be returning for the loaded Mac 😋
It's a very good place. I've been coming here since my mother opened it. The burgers are very good. They have Savoy Buy, which is good without burning your mouth or being inedible.
The cashier/server Jose serving us on Thursday night was superb. I liked Dave’s Hot Chicken, but Jose’s customer service was some of the best I have ever experienced. I sincerely hope his manger sees this message and give him a raise. He kept the restaurant extremely clean and even checked on us. 10/10 experience will be coming back.
***USP: fried chicken fast food place with a wide range of heat levels from mild to high heat for more adventurous palates. ***AMBIANCE: graffiti style artwork on the walls. Place order up front, find a table and wait for your buzzer to light up. ***FOOD: this time around we got the chicken bites. It was after school and kids wanted a quick snack. The bites came with a mayo based sauce, a slice of white bread and some pickles. The chicken was surprisingly beautifully cooked, it was soft and flavorful. The coating wasn't too thick but still crunchy enough. We got a medium spice level and it wasn't too hot but delicious with a perfect balance. The pickles in my opinion did not go well with the spicy chicken. The mayo helped by providing a nice creamy element though.
We visited a pumpkin patch nearby and just had to try this place because I kept seeing it on social media. We ordered the 2 sliders with fries, mild. The chicken was juicy and the other ingredients were fresh. I like spicy foods and, if you’re like me, the mild one will disappoint you. It didn’t have any spice at all, at least for me. Their special sauce was ok, almost like another famous chicken place. Their fries are great! The price is reasonable given that 3 of us shared for a meal. The restaurant is clean and was not crowded when we went there (on a Sunday, around 6pm). There was a separate area for drinks and napkins.

Got the top loaded fries, was delicious but I wish there was more coleslaw as advertised. Was able to ask for more thankfully. The milkshake machine was broken as well. Hopefully next time it will be better.
We tried Dave’s Hot Chicken for the first time, and the spice definitely lives up to the name, it’s spicy. The chicken sandwich and tenders were good, though not necessarily over-the-top for me. Personally, I prefer fried chicken with bones and extra crispiness, so that’s just a taste preference. The sliders were delicious, and the sauces were solid. It’s definitely not on the healthy side, but when you’re craving comfort food, it hits the spot. Overall, it’s a quick, satisfying takeout option. Service was quick and casual spot.
If I'm being honest all these chicken tender places are over rated and over priced. Why are you serving me white bread under my food like it's a hood spot in Chicago. Anyway I'm only leaving a review because our service was great Paola was amazing, great smile, very attentive and helpful. Keep up the good work. Food was decent nothing to write home about. Wouldn't wait in a long line for it or anything. I did like the thick cut of the pickles

I heard about this place from the news. Ordered their number one from the menu. I am not sure it's worth the hype. It's almost $17 after Tex for two pieces of small chicken and small fries. The chicken aren't dry but has too much seasoning. Maybe it's just not my type of fried chicken.
I have a strong feeling these reviews are paid or bots Because this is genuinely the worst outdoor dining experience I’ve ever had in my life the workers were extremely rude off rip and gave us cold food when I complained and asked for the food to be remade they gave me even colder food. I decided not to cause a scene and just walked out $40 poorer. No one in there spoke decent English either. I’m never ever coming back here and I don’t know how it has a 4.7 The worst McDonald’s I’ve ever had was still better than this
Don’t come to this location. Go to the one on Oakland Rd. My wife and I have given this location multiple chances and it’s just not good. Every time we go, the chicken had absolutely no flavor, just spice seasoning. No flavor whatsoever. Don’t get me started on the customer service, we’ve dealt with the same lady the times that we’ve gone and she’s always very rude. And every time, we order at LEAST $60 worth of food and we get ONE SAUCE, ONE!!! and when we ask if we could get more, she won’t give any and tell us we have to pay.
I have only been here a few times and usually my experience has been positive…until today. My order was completely messed up. The to go sauce for the fries was only 1/4 full, I was charged $2 for a side of reaper ranch but was given just regular ranch, fries were cold and stale and the sandwich that was supposed to be medium heat was mild. I suppose it’s my first negative experience here, but damn you went all out. I’m sure I will order here again, but it’s gonna take a hot minute before I do.
I ordered number 4 from the menu. The person taking my order keeps on giggling and laughing. I was not sure what they were doing until I got my meal. The chicken sandwich is super salty. I tried my best to finish the sandwich, but toward the end, I knew the level of salt put on the chicken and the sandwich was not normal, like anything I had ever had. I have confronted the staff to let them know something is odd about my sandwich. This is my first time ever eating anything that is this salty. I have asked for an extra spicy sandwich but rather got an extra salty sandwich altogether. I would never go back to this very location again. People, check your order carefully before leaving.
