Good place for Fine Dining experience of North Indian Food. Menu is small but perfected. They also have weekend Brunch menu. Overall great ambience, Great food. Everything stood out . My personal fav was Asado Branzino Fillet and avacado paneer Galauti in small plates. Lamb Kosha Mangsho was really good in large plates. Both Deserts option was amazing.
I recently dined at this restaurant and was thoroughly impressed. Among the dishes I tried, the Pulled Jackfruit Ghee Roast stood out — it was absolutely delicious and a must-try. The Kataifi Crusted Labneh Croquette, Potato Papdi Chaat, Puffed Jhalmoorie, and Reinvented Paneer Lababda were all thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The ambience is stylish and vibrant, with beautifully presented food that elevates the overall experience. Located in the heart of Santana Row, it’s perfectly situated for those looking to enjoy Indian cuisine in a lively, party-like atmosphere. If you’re in the area and craving Indian food
We came to Fitoor for our anniversary during a weekday afternoon. While the place was empty, I can definitely say that we left without an empty stomach. The service was excellent, food came in a reasonable time and was really tasty. You do have to plan for the fact that they keep on changing their menu, which is nice, but you might be in for a surprise when you look for the dishes that you’re trying to order.
One of the cozy places in the Bay Area with a fine vibe! Love the drinks, the food and most importantly- the hospitality is top notch! Starting from the manager Sid, very warm and welcoming to the staff at the bar ( Sam, Elton Fernandez and Siddhant), even for the pleasure of meeting with the GM Abbey! I have only the nicest things to say about their staff and hospitality— most places are hyped and okay service, this is above and beyond for the humane factor! I highly recommend being here— solo at the bar, with family or friends. Cheers!
Excellent date night location or group dinner location or office party location! My friend and I were so happy with the food, the quantity of the food, and the service. All the staff were so friendly and joking the entire time. The food was just so delicious. The paneer avocado galouti was excellent and so was the papdi chaat. And then the malai kofta balls were decadent and for a change actually made with malai (instead of potatoes lol). And the dal makhani!!! Dal makhani was the highlight of my night, transported back me to India. The cheese naan was actually made with amul cheese, what a delicious surprise!! Overall very satisfied with the restaurant!
In the past 3 months, I have visited Fitoor thrice, with the girl gangs and with my family. Always being overwhelmed by the positive atmosphere overall. Excellent food, very good/ fast service and very amicable staff. The belly dancer was gorgeous and so friendly, she created a very good experience overall. Highly recommended.
2nd trip to this fabulous place!🥰 From crispy Mumbai Dabeli Croquettes to puffed up chestnut & pea kulcha, the appetizers set the mood just right! Cocktails & Mocktail were really innovative! Gifts from the garden & Mother Nature were our favs! Ordered twice! And the desserts? Absolutely divine—Masala Chai Ice Cream with Irani Cookies and the saffron-infused Gondoraj Leche Cake were the perfect sweet endings. A must-visit for bold Indian flavors with a modern twist! Check it out! 📍Fitoor, Santana Row Review: •Ambiance: 10/10 •Service: 10/10 •Food: 9/10 •Music: 9/10 •Seating: Bar, Patio, and indoor •Parking: street & parking garage •Price: $50-$80 per person
Avinash made our dining experience exceptional. He went above and beyond to ensure we enjoyed not just the food, but the entire vibe of the place. Thanks to his professionalism and attention to detail, we had a truly memorable time. The owner is fortunate to have someone like him on the team.
It is shocking that this place has ratings below 4. This is probably the best Indian fine dining restaurant in the Bay Area. Having visited this place over 3 times we have tried almost all vegetarian options on their menu none of which have disappointed. The menu features innovative dishes and desserts with high quality ingredients and delicious flavors! We also appreciate the decor. The parking structure is just a few steps away from the restaurant. The only issue we have faced is slow service on 2/3 occasions - on one occasion the food came out cold. Otherwise amazing place and great to celebrate special occasions!
The presentation and food were great! Each dish was plated well, and the flavors were well-balanced. The ambiance was pleasant, and the service was great. Not all dishes may be suitable for those who cannot consume dairy, so it’s best to check with the staff before ordering. The staff checked with us if anyone had any allergies and also if we were celebrating anything special! Overall, a wonderful dining experience.
Best experience ever. Great service. Siddhanth was a great host. Made us the best in-house cocktails. Some of my absolute favourite cocktails ever. Don't miss the experience. Food, drink, ambience, and service everything is top notch. A must visit place.
Really good food spot. We were there for a birthday celebration and so there was a set menu. Everything on the menu tasted amazing. Our favorite was the malabar paratha. The service too has to be mentioned as our host, Sahil, was very attentive. They even customized the drinks per our preferences, so special mention to the bartender Sid as well.
Wow, I absolutely loved the food at Fitoor! Not only is the ambience beautiful, but the cozy atmosphere with the live DJ made the entire evening feel extra special. The food and cocktails were amazing and truly made my evening memorable. I especially loved the Water Chestnut & Green Peas Kulcha!!! It was outstanding. The Thecha Chicken was also delicious and packed with flavor. Overall, a fantastic experience, and I would highly recommend Fitoor to anyone looking for great food, drinks, and vibes.
Fabulous food. Very creative take on many Indian dishes. More unique than most Indian restaurants. Upscale. Unique cocktail menu and full bar. Service was good and we were well taken care of by Sahil. Food arrived quickly. Nice ambiance. We noticed a lot of Indian families, so you know it’s authentic. Looking forward to our next visit!
We went to Fitoor for a team lunch and absolutely loved it! The food was creative, beautifully presented, and full of authentic Indian flavors with a modern twist. We tried several dishes, but the standouts were the figs paneer tikka, garlic tandoori prawns, thecha chilli chicken for appetizers. The slow-roast lamb kosha mangsho and pulled jackfruit roast were packed with incredible flavor for main course. The masala chai ice cream with Irani cookies was a perfect, unique sweet finish. Great ambience, attentive service, and a truly memorable dining experience. Highly recommend!
I had an amazing experience at Fitoor- Santana Row. The highlight was the bar tender @gin_lover. The drinks he prepared were top notch. The food complimented the drinks very well ! Appetizers were excellent. The paneer they used was very soft. Overall, wonderful experience and I look forward to visiting again.
We had an amazing experience at Fitoor! The Paneer Lababdar was rich, flavorful, and perfectly spiced. For non-vegetarians, the Thecha Chicken was definitely the star — full of flavor and just the right amount of heat. The Peri Peri Chicken had a nice kick and was super tender, while the Avocado & Paneer Galouti was one of the most unique and delicious appetizers we’ve had — melt-in-your-mouth good! The Paneer Fig Tikka was also a pleasant surprise with its subtle sweetness and smoky flavor. We ended the meal with Shahi Tukda Tre Leches, which was the perfect fusion dessert — creamy, decadent, and beautifully presented. Live belly dance performance and DJ was cherry on top. Highly recommend this place for both vegetarians and non-vegetarians alike!
We went to Fitoor for our anniversary dinner and the restaurant did not disappoint, delivering a truly memorable dining experience, blending warm ambience, attentive service, and exceptionally crafted food!! The food stands out as the star of the evening. It offers a modern, creative take on Indian cuisine without compromising the rich taste, flavor, or authenticity that define the tradition. Each dish is presented with remarkable attention to detail—visually appealing, vibrant, and clearly crafted with intention. A wonderful experience from start to finish, and one I would gladly return for.
We had such a beautiful Valentine’s Day dinner at Fitoor Restaurant! The whole atmosphere was romantic and cozy — perfect for a special evening. Our server, Preet, was absolutely amazing. She was so kind, attentive, and made sure we were comfortable the entire time. Her service truly made our night extra special. We ordered the chicken dumplings, biryani, and goat curry, and everything was delicious! The dumplings were flavorful and fresh, the biryani was perfectly cooked with amazing spices, and the goat curry was tender and rich in taste. Every dish was full of authentic flavor. Thank you, Fitoor and Preet, for making our Valentine’s Day so memorable. We will definitely be coming back! ❤️
myself and my wife went to Fitoor restaurant for our Anniversary Dinner and I am amazed to get an extraordinary experience. The food was so delicious, prepared with perfect taste with so many great choices. The Deserts were out of this world especially the one with chocolate cake which took me to my school days time. Met the Chief Chef Vaibhav along with Prashant, Siddhant and the hospitality was next level. The other waiters and staff was also very courteous. Excellent place to be there for your important Life miletsones.
Outstanding Food, Service, and Consistency My family and I have eaten at Fitoor multiple times, and we’ve never been disappointed. The staff is always professional, welcoming, and genuinely caring. A special shout‑out to Vaibhav (chef) and Amy, Sid, and Prashant from the front office — truly amazing individuals who go above and beyond for their guests. We’ve visited all the Rooh Group restaurants; Rooh Palo Alto, Rooh San Francisco, Pipal in Berkeley, and Fitoor at Santana Row (couple of times). Each one offers its own unique food and ambience. Fitoor continues that tradition beautifully, the staff has never once disappointed us, and the food remains consistently delicious every single time. Most of the dishes we’ve tried are vegetarian, with a few chicken and seafood options, and the restaurant caters wonderfully to both preferences. Some of our favourites: Small Plates (absolutely must try): • Waterchestnut & Green Peas Kulcha • Mumbai Dabeli Croquet • Methi Mattar Paneer Tikka • Malabar Quesadilla • Katafi‑Crusted Dahi Kabab • Mangalorean Chicken Ghee Roast All of the small plates and appetizers are absolutely mouthwatering and perfectly prepared. Mains: • Malai Kofta • Rajasthani Kadi Risotto (must try) • Paneer Lababdar Every dish has been consistently delicious, flavorful, and satisfying. Every visit has been a wonderful experience. Highly recommend trying this place out!
Anniversary dinner at Fitoor did not disappoint! ✨ Exceptional food, elegant fine-dining vibes, and top-tier service. Our server even surprised us with a sweet treat to celebrate our big day. Such a memorable night!
A Culinary Celebration of Indian Fusion! Fitoor in San Jose is a flavor-packed experience I won’t forget! The appetizers were the absolute highlight- each one a creative masterpiece. I especially loved the water chestnut & green pea kulcha, Mumbai dabeli croquette, Malabar paratha quesadilla, and the avocado & paneer galouti. Every bite was a burst of innovation and tradition. The mains like dal makhani and kadhi rice were comforting and soulful, and the yogurt-based drink?! 🍸 Absolutely the best—refreshing, perfectly balanced, and a must-try! And the desserts were simply out of this world, each one a sweet surprise that left a lasting impression. Huge kudos to Chef Vaibhav for the unforgettable flavors, and to Sidhant and Prashant for their warm, thoughtful hospitality. This Marathi trio brings pride, passion, and perfection to the table. Can’t wait to return!
Fitoor completely impressed us. The atmosphere is lively and upscale, and the food was outstanding — flavorful, creative, and beautifully plated. You can feel the passion behind each dish. And the dessert? Absolutely divine. It was the perfect finishing touch and left us wanting more. The service was gracious and welcoming, which made the whole experience even better. Highly recommend!
Wonderful ambiance and food. Tried lavender lush, Embers of the monk and few Taj Mahal Beers. They accommodated for early show up on a Friday night. They also have belly dancers and live DJ doing bollywood Mashup. Very nice presentation of the food and all chicken shareable and appetizers were amazing and fresh
An exceptional dining experience at Fitoor ✨ Beautiful ambience, thoughtfully curated menu, and flavors that truly stand out. Every dish felt refined and perfectly balanced. A must-visit for modern Indian cuisine lovers.”Their chef Vaibhav is amazing . Special mention to the chef Vaibhav at Fitoor for delivering such an outstanding culinary experience.
Fitoor is one of those places that immediately feels special—creative, vibrant Indian food with seriously rich, memorable flavors. You can tell a lot of care and thought goes into every dish without it ever feeling fussy. Executive Chef Vaibhav’s international, award-winning experience really shines through in both the creativity and balance of the menu. Everything we tried felt exciting but still comforting, which isn’t easy to pull off. On top of that, the service was excellent and made the whole experience even better.
Great food. Quality is top notch. The owner and chef are such wonderful folks to spend time with our group. Butter chicken, seabass, garlic prawns with the cumin rice was my favorite. Belly dancer performs on Fridays and Saturdays with a live DJ, very fun vibe.
We had a great time at Fitoor on Santana Row with a group of friends. We decided to try many different dishes from the menu, and we were so glad we did. The food's presentation was beautiful, and the flavors were varied, well-made, and truly interesting. The service was great, and the cocktails were excellent as well. The only thing that felt a bit out of place was the belly dancing, as it's an Indian restaurant, but overall, it was a wonderful experience.
I was first a little suspicious after looking at the reviews, but this place definitely exceeded all my expectations. 5 stars! We got butter chicken and four cheese naan. Great (not very hot) level of spice, delicious creamy butter sauce (chicken was slightly dry though). The naan was just perfect, crispy on outside and well cooked cheese Great job, will be coming back soon for sure
Awesome place! They accommodated a large party (30+) food was great, and the service was phenomenal. Special Thanks to Neil and the best mixologist that mixed us great drinks.
We went there on Valentine’s Day, and the vibe was great. They had a special menu for Valentines. Thecha chicken lollipop and gulab jaamun tiramisu is a must try.
The food was excellent and the ambiance was absolutely wonderful, making it a perfect spot for a date night or a relaxed evening out. The setting feels warm, stylish, and inviting, which really adds to the overall dining experience. One of the highlights of the meal was the Dahi ke Kabab — they were truly outstanding, soft, flavorful, and easily one of the best I’ve had. The Malai Kofta was another winner: rich, creamy, and well-balanced, with a smooth texture and comforting taste that stood out among the main dishes. However, the paneer appetizer was slightly disappointing. It tasted a bit sour and didn’t feel very authentic compared to traditional Indian flavors, which took away from an otherwise strong food experience. That said, the cocktails were well-crafted and enjoyable, complementing the meal nicely and adding to the overall vibe of the place. Overall, this is a restaurant I would definitely recommend for its food quality, ambiance, and drinks. That said, the pricing felt on the higher side for what was being served. With slightly more reasonable prices or improved portion-to-value balance, the experience would feel much more satisfying. Still, it’s a great place worth visiting, especially for special occasions or date nights.
This is my new favorite Indian restaurant and I’m a bit of an Indian food snob. The food is flavorful and authentic with beautiful presentation. The ambiance is trendy and modern. On weekends, they have a DJ and belly dancers. Chefs kiss!
I came here with no expectations, but I was pleasantly surprised. The food was excellent. We ordered a mix of vegetarian and non-vegetarian appetizers, and the standout was the avocado and paneer dish—it was absolutely delicious. The main course didn't disappoint either, especially the slow-roasted chicken, which was full of flavor. One of the highlights was the Mango Bite drink—it had a unique masala twist that made it incredibly refreshing. While the prices are on the higher side, it's understandable given the location in Santana Row. Overall, a great dining experience.

Siddhant, our mixologist star, is the reason I would come back to Fitoor every weekend if I could. He takes immense pride in his craft. Every drink feels thoughtfully designed, with carefully crafted spirits infused with Indian flavors that are truly one of a kind. If you share your preferences, he goes above and beyond to create outstanding flavors tailored perfectly to your palate. Chef Sawant does a consistent good job!. The way flavors are blended across the menu makes for an amazing dining experience. My only wish is to see more gluten free options introduced, because the food is absolutely worth returning for. The atmosphere completes the experience. The DJ and belly dance performances add incredible energy and elevate the entire evening. Overall, Fitoor delivers on flavor, creativity, and vibe. A must visit at Santana Row and a special shoutout to Siddhant for making the bar experience unforgettable.

First time trying this place. This location used to be Amber India before and now it’s Fitoor. Not sure if it’s the same owners or different. Did not have high expectations. It looked pretty empty for a weekend evening. We still had reservations just in case. We were instantly seated. The ambience of this place was a bit dark and not exactly to my liking. The small lamps on the table were the only saving grace. We tried, Water chestnut & green pea Kulcha - It was okay. Too much bread and very little filling. Still it was manageable. They served it with Jalapeno mayo which was too thick to my liking. This dish was more bread than anything else. Avocado & Paneer Galouti kebabs - These were too good. Melt in your mouth kebabs. They were super delicious and I highly recommend it. Although 4 pieces vanished in seconds but they were worth it. Almond crusted malai kofta - I did not expect this dish to be anything but it took me by surprise. The almond crusted coating on the kofta were scrumptious. They added the crispy zing to the whole dish. The gravy and everything was pretty normal nothing special but the crusted kofta were great to eat with naan. Garlic naan Usual Stuff, all good. They had a live DJ, which was really nice and created a good entertainment. He was playing all the right numbers and mixes. Then came the belly dancer out of nowhere which was also a pleasant surprise. She was really nice and sweet. These two added extras of the DJ & belly dancer made my experience pretty good in the restaurant. The servers were also attentive. Overall a good experience and would love to try again.
Fitoor embodies overwhelming passion, which is evident in its vibrant ambiance and impressive presentation. We visited for a team lunch with colleagues, and the location in Santana Row is fantastic. We began with some refreshing mocktails like Mango Bite, Kokum Spritz, Strawberry Cloud, and Lemonade. For appetizers, we selected Potato Chaat, Mumbai Dabeli Croquette, Thecha Chicken Chili, Malvani Crab Cake, and Prawns. The Potato Chaat was fairly basic, while the Mumbai Dabeli Croquette had the best presentation. Thecha Chicken Chili exceeded our expectations, despite concerns about its spiciness, it turned out to be the standout appetizer. The Malvani Crab Cake and Prawns were delicious but came with only a couple of prawns on top, which felt a bit lacking in quantity. For our main courses, we ordered the Reinvented Paneer Lababdar, which was just average, not sure about the reinvention and not something I would recommend. The Chicken Dum Biryani was good and offered the most generous portion among the mains. The Lamb Kosha Mangsho was tasty, while the Lahori Chicken Roast featured just one leg piece in a creamy gravy. The Malabar paratha and tandoori roti were standard fare. Unfortunately, our experience with the server, was not very pleasant, he seemed a bit grumpy, which was unexpected at Fitoor. A little more warmth or enthusiasm would have been appreciated. Overall, it was an okay experience. We had high hopes, but everything was just average - nothing particularly extraordinary for the price. It’s a good choice if you’re looking for a nice date or fine dining experience.
Really good ambience and quick service. Food was quite good too - We had the Malabar parotta quesadilla, textured Cauliflower, Papdi chat and the Shahi Tukda dessert. Papdi chat was just average but everything else was awesome. Small serving sizes though (especially the Cauliflower) for the price.
Fitoor : It's... Fine It is one of those places you go to when you're craving Indian food, and it's just there. It's not bad, but it's certainly not going to blow your mind. The ambiance is pretty standard for an Indian restaurant – a bit dim, some ethnic decor, maybe a slightly worn tablecloth or two. Nothing particularly charming or off-putting. The service is efficient enough; they take your order, bring the food, and clear the plates. Don't expect sparkling conversation or highly personalized recommendations, but they get the job done without fuss. As for the food, it's competent. We tried the butter chicken, which was creamy and sweet, much like butter chicken often is. The naan was adequately fluffy, and the rice was, well, rice. The spices in the dishes we ordered were present but didn't really sing. They actually use frozen Malabar Porotta which is a disgrace.Everything tasted like it should, but without any discernible flair or depth that would make it stand out from a dozen other Indian eateries. It filled us up, which is what food is supposed to do. Prices are about what you'd expect, neither cheap nor exorbitant. You're getting a decent meal for your money, but you're not getting a culinary experience. Overall, if you're in the area and need some Indian food, Fitoor will scratch that itch. Just don't go in expecting anything memorable. It's a perfectly acceptable, forgettable meal.
Fitoor is the Indian staple on Santana Row. Fair warning, this is more of Indian fusion, but delicious all the same. The restaurant has plenty of outdoor seating, a front room with bar and table seating, as well as a full back room. The service was inconsistent- on top of filling water glasses, but never came back to get my drink order after asking for the drink menu. BUT, the food was excellent. Everything we had was packed with flavor and perfect portions. Winners of the evening were the garlic naan, old Delhi butter chicken (it was silky smooth), and the goan prawn and fish curry (bite sized pieces throughout). The Malabar paratha quesadillas were a great example of fusion cooking- totally recommend as a start to split amongst the table. Overall, good experience. Will be back to try some new dishes, hopefully can order a second drink next time around.
Food was delicious. Very tasty with your traditional Indian flavors. Really enjoyed the butter chicken. Had the perfect spice kick to it and it paired nicely with the cumin rice and garlic naan. Also, ordered the chicken dum Biryani. Very flavorful. Came with a side of yogurt dip . Super yummy. Atmosphere was great on the patio but inside looked much nicer as they offered DJ music and a belly dancer. Service wasn’t bad but I felt we were being rushed a little even though it wasn’t that busy and we get the table for two hours. Otherwise our server was very informative and made great suggestions on food.
Great food, very friendly and considerate staff and food ambiance. The veg kofta was a big hit but we did not like the avocado and paneer galouti. Found it to be very bland and lacking in flavor. Also, the garlic naan was fantastic.

I visited the restaurant last Saturday evening for dinner. The ambience was nice, though I preferred sitting on the patio. Overall, the food was well cooked, but I wasn’t too impressed with the breads. I understand the staff gets busy during dinner hours, but our cutlery was delayed. The butter chicken was absolutely amazing, while the chaat dish I ordered was just average.
Ambience is pretty good feels cozy inside. Service was ok we were forgotten in a corner! Food, was nothing spl this restaurant being in santana row, being a fusion place i was expecting something unique different but its nothing different from all the othe smal chain Indian restaurants around bay area. Indian food is very versatile I was expecting something different unique other than just Daal & Paneer. I would not recommend this place for good food. But if you want to check mark then go ahead. Oh yea there was a fairy dancer :)
