One of the cleanest Mongolian bbq in bay area....always fresh meat and veggies!
This place is good what love about it is that you can self serve the steam rice from the pot rice very good.
The restaurant has a sleek, modern design and a welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. The food is flavorful and carefully prepared, showing their commitment to quality. This has definitely become a new favorite spot in Raleigh, and I highly recommend giving it a try!
The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and has a welcoming atmosphere. It’s clear they take pride in delivering a great dining experience. This is definitely a new favorite spot in Raleigh for a delicious meal. Highly recommend checking it out!
If you know how to organize your meat well, you'll get good value out of this place. I suggest not getting the noodles and just filling up your bowls with meat, veggies, and sauce, so you can go to the back and get the free rice. It's pretty cool watching the chef cook your food, and there's a good array of sauces and seasoning you can put on your food. They also have takeout boxes on request. Just don't eat the free fried . . . something that they have towards the front. I don't think they ever replace it and it does not taste very good. Also lamb is not generally not available during lunch hours, which is sad because it definitely tastes the best. There's also some cross-contamination between different parts of the self-serve, so be very careful if you're allergic.
If there is 6 stars I would give 6 stars! Super cost effective and delicious food after workout in the City Sports gym nearby. You are allowed to choose two full bowls of ingredients, including various meats, tofu, and other proteins, as well as wide range of veggies and carbons. You also build the seasoning recipe by yourself, making this a very healthy post-training meal with all the nutritions fully under your control and guaranteed the amount. It only costs $20 for the dinner. The front desk lady is also very nice and she built the seasonings for me which is delicious. I would say this is so far the only restaurant in Bay Area that I will feel sad about if it is closed someday. (Hopefully never happens)🙏🏻
Absolutely phenomenal mongolian bbq. Food is excellently cooked and has great quality. You make 2 bowls of ingredients and then they throw it on the grill for some good old fashion live Mongolian bbq cooking. Love this place and love the food. 10/10 all the way. Stop by here when you can. The staff are friendly, and it is always good. It with be worth it.
Great place for lunch or dinner. You start with a couple bowls of shaved raw beef, chicken, or pork. Then make your way down the line and get some produce, then onto the noodles. Last stop before they cook is the sauces. There is quite a lot to choose from. After you get your food you bring it to the cooks who dump your bowls out onto a big round cooking grill. They cook all the meats and veggies and noodles, then serve on a plate. There is a to-go price and also an all you can eat price. When you're done with your meal, you can treat yourself to a vanilla soft serve ice cream. I've been here a dozen times, and it's always delicious.
A well rounded option if you're looking for Mongolian BBQ. Lots of toppings to pick from and a wide variety of sauce options as well. They have self serve rice, soup and even ice cream. Service was friendly and the price was reasonable for an all you can eat place. The location is tucked between a few stores so it may be difficult to find at first.
If you want some fresh made food with fresh ingredients, and you like to make your own combinations of food, then come to this Mongolians style grill. Grab a bowl or two, then fill with shaved meat of choice, and a whole buffet of fresh veggies, chow Morin noodles and sauces. Hand it to the grill master and he will put your food on a round hot grill. After a few rounds around the grill, it is served hot off the grill. Grab a bowl of chicken soup or rice and a cold drink and sit down for a nice hot meal. {Be careful that your eyes are not bigger than your stomach because there are no take homes containers}. Get a soft serve cream cream for dessert, then pay as you leave. Nice staff, good fast hot comfort food just how you like it.
The second I walked in I was immediately greeted my friendly smile and an explanation of how the bar work. My drink order was taken immediately as I was getting my food together. They have great fresh vegetables, a great selection of meats and all the sauces you could imagine. They had the Golden State Warrior game on which made for a very quiet dining room atmosphere. I found the place to be very clean, accommodating, and welcoming. if I'm ever in the area I will definitely try this place again.
We frequent Gobi pretty often. Today I saw an offer for a buy one get one free 17.99. After all door dasher charges, over $30. Not much of a deal. I placed an order for the protein deal. When door dasher delivered, I seriously thought they forgot the food. The bag was so light. This is what I found when I opened the bag. Shame on you Gobi
Great Mongolian, serve yourself soup and rice was not what I was expecting, dinner price was on the high side for little to no service. Restaurant was clean and food area was well kept. Lunch service at a dinner price. Update - wanted to give a good rating, however just can't. No improvement over time, ingredients have resorted to having hot dogs that you can include in your bbq, sauces had no flavor, just all in all bland... Price is misleading as they charge almost $15 for one one plate, if you use 2 bowls, yet $13 for one plate if you use their larger bowl. No soup, just rice, and absolutely no service or care that we choose to eat there.
Honestly, had a terrible experience at this place. I’m from Los Angeles. This is my first time trying a Mongolian place in Northern California, as soon as you walk in no one’s really there to greet you, there’s only two employees one cashier and one cook. I came to order to-go food after the gym and I was asking how the pricing works. There is like a billion different signs and prices which are very confusing because many of them only apply for dine-in customers which I was not, she mentioned I can grab two bowls (which are very small you can maybe fit two apples inside. The food is self-serve and it’s really hard to reach into each individual container because there's a covid style plastic blocking your shoulders from reaching in properly. There’s not enough tongs for grabbing each raw protein (chicken, pork, lamb, etc) as well as veggies so sometimes you have to use other ones. I’m glad I got an extra bowl because one bowl of protein and one bowl of veggies is not enough portion size to even feel remotely full. My food was served cooked on a plate (dine-in) after I kept mentioning it was a to-go order, once the cook understood me, he tossed it all in a to-go box. A lot of my meat and veggies were falling off the sides of the box onto the table where everyone gets their food. It was very hard to understand the workers, I was asking for a napkin to clean oil off my hands after grabbing my box, I also asked for a fork to organize food back into container and they pretty much didn't know what I was referring to. I was charged almost $30 for a standard panda-style box of food which honestly was very oily and not as good as I thought it was going to be. I guess people who dine-in have a better experience but I will not be coming back.
