It's such a fun place to be! Food was excellent and creative. We love the black sesame and caramelized banana pastry. The coffee selection is large and tasty as well. Although it's busy, but the service is moving fast. We like the setting of the shop. People are friendly and chilled there.
The coffee shop is next level! The staff are super knowledgeable about the offerings and walked through the roasting process and unique beans they aquire and blends they make. I could not resist the final package of finca lord voldomort! They seem to know their crowd well. We arrived early, around 7:30am, and had a short wait, but by the time we left the like was well out the door! This is a busy spot! The food, particularly the sesame banana toast was incredible! Perfectly prepared and caramelized, an excellent combination of flavors. Coffee is pricey!
Cardmom and Orange latte was good. They have great options for coffee to try. Environment and vibe of the place is very happening. Its not a quiet place but have bustling eventful atmosphere. Loved the visit. Will go again to try other lattes.
I really like the atmosphere of this café — it’s unique and pleasant. I enjoy their espresso, and I often come here because they pay attention to presentation and details. The espresso is served with sparkling water to cleanse the palate, along with a wooden tray and a spoon, which shows they care about the full espresso experience. However, I did notice once that the presentation was neglected. The espresso was served without a spoon or tray, as if I was expected to hold the espresso in one hand and the water in the other. I asked them to present it the usual way, and they immediately brought the wooden tray and spoon, which I appreciated. I’m just not sure why it wasn’t done correctly from the start. Other than that, this café remains one of my favorites, and I will definitely return — hoping that maintaining presentation and attention to detail stays a consistent standard.
Moonwake is such a local gem, and I'm so thrilled they opened in our neighborhood. The owners are so knowledgeable and passionate about coffee roasting and creating the best product. I love their orange cardamom latte and savory pastries. The team is always so friendly and welcoming - it's really a unique sense of community that is hard to find in Silicon Valley coffee shops. The interior is so bright and modern - love working from here and sitting among the plants. Plenty of tables, but seats do fill up fast since it's such a greay place to meet and work. All in all, a fantastic coffee stop.
This is one of my favorite specialty coffee roasters/cafes. Their coffee is a bit pricier than others I’ve been to but I think the increase in quality is worth it. Their coffee beans are high quality beans and have been roasted well. They make excellent pour-over coffee both hot and iced pour-overs. The coffees I had there were well balanced in flavor, acidity, sweetness and body. They had a very clean taste profile with high clarity of flavor. If you sit at the counter, they have small carafes where you can taste their daily selection and also watch them make the coffee you’ve ordered. The staff are very friendly and knowledgeable about the coffee they serve. The pastries they sell are also very well made and tasty. The atmosphere of the cafe is also great. It’s a decent sized cafe with plenty of seating, large windows and good lighting, and the decor is modern. If you are someone that enjoys high-end coffee, I would highly recommend Moonwake Coffee Roasters.
This is hands down my favorite coffee shop in the South Bay! The quality of the lattes are exceptional. Flavors are unique as well. The environment/decor is trendy and welcoming. I love coming here with friends! It’s sometimes hard to find a parking spot on the weekends and their line may get long too. They have yummy small bite sweet and savory pastries but they tend to sell out fast into the morning!
I’m a big fan of the interior design and how they present each drink. I particularly love their SONG TEA from San Francisco, which is a Chinese tea brand. They make it iced and incredibly clear, with a beautiful color. My friend ordered a matcha latte, and he said it was equally great. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon with friends or work in peace with your headphones on.
One of the best coffee shops in San Jose! The coffee, food, and vibes are all a solid 10! I’m not really a coffee drinker but I always get their orange cardamom latte which is so smooth and absolutely delicious. The gochujang focaccia is also great! Highly recommend!!
Quite busy during the weekend. The cryo-milk cortado is very special and the beans taste good. For AmericanF I opted for the dark roastef Blue mountain beans (default is the medium roast blend). The beans are not so special in flavors but overall fine. Everything crossiant is savory and pretty good and fresh. Very crunchy and served warm.
So we had heard about this place and I have to say that from the moment we walked in we were not dissapointed. The first thing we noticed was was how quickly we were greeted by the friendly barrista team at the counter. Interior wise, the open concept is striking, refreshingly ornamented with plenty of natures emerald that lines the edges of the entire space. This place even on a weekday was busy but in a vibrant and uplifting way. We ordered the cryo-milk cortado which if you’ve been living under a rock takes whole milk and dehydrates it so that liquid whole milk can then be used to re-hydrate it leaving only the yummiest elements of the milk in the flavour profile. We also got the orange cardamom latte half sweet along with their egg sando and their regular croissant warmed up. The person at the counter was lovely and took us through what each item that we were curious about was, making fair recommendations and it was evident that he’s passionate about what he does! I loved that the food and coffee came out super quick and that they say your name with each item enthusiastically and wait for you to come collect your item which is a lost art just because of the demand of output. You can see the guy through a huge glass wall in the back roasting the beans and another guy on laptops doing other work. It’s very unique. Lots of outlets novel reading clientele. The sando was phenomenal. Yum. The croissant was devoured quickly. Despite it not being super flaky, if you’re an “inside crab claw of the croissant” person, you’re in for a treat because that was really buttery. The latte flavour was solid and I would get an extra shot of espresso with 1/3 sweet next time. The cortado was very high quality and the cryogenically modified whole milk was worth the try, although if you’re not a fan of fruity notes you can opt for the earthier tones sometimes as they have three varying roasts. They also had a roast from China which was a first! Highly recommend for the vibes and you cannot go wrong with the coffee. Also the latte art was impeccable.
We visited this coffee shop on Sunday around 1 PM. There was a line, and most items were already sold out. We tried the mushroom tart, which was really good, and later had the pineapple cake. Such a cute place with a great vibe! Definitely coming back to try more.
I never seen such a long waiting line outside all day. For coffee lover, it's new alternative flavor but I can not say it's great.
Very nice place to study, I got their orange latte and it was really good, it was it a slight orange flavor and the art was really well done and it had a dried orange which made it look nice. The seating was also good, with the interior being really new and fancy. There plenty of outdoor seating and tablespace for working. One thing is that it's pretty crowded so it might be hard to find seats. There's also no outlets outside for charging. I thought the wifi was nice and fast and there was a parking lot in front for easy parking.

The cardamom orange blossom latte is SOOOO good and fragrant, highly recommend! Matcha latte was also good, not too sweet. Pineapple cake latte was ok, just tasted like a mild cortado. I also really liked their straight teas, I had the Nantou oolong (sourced from Song's Tea). They served the tea perfectly brewed into a glass cup. I wish they served the tea in a teapot though. The cafe is serenely decorated with plants, a teapot shared between friends would've hit the spot. We tried a bunch of their food and I would recommend the prosciutto focaccia sandwich and mushroom tart which was very earthy. Egg sando was a bit on the dry side. My friends loved the tiramisu (cloudy soft). The savory pull apart bread was a little heavy on the red pepper flavor for me but they loved it! Friendly staff too :)
The pumpkin bread was very good. Internet is decently fast. Drinks are more interesting than most coffee shops and tasted delicious. They have a good amount of seating, although majority of seAts don't have a back so it's not comfortable for a long period of time
This little gem produces great coffee and pastries. There is also a bar to try different drinks. I ordered the Cardamom Orange Latte and Vanilla Latte and they were both very smooth and tasty! The Egg Sando was good. Love the chill vibes and open concept with greenery. This is an actual rostery. Highly recommended if you're in the area!
Great coffee! Absolutely loved the espresso macchiato and the cryo cortado! Super rich in flavour. Vibes are good too. It’s a little messy but loved the coffee.
We ordered several drinks. One had the wrong finish and the incorrect garnish. It was fine but the main barista told the one who messed it up they should have remade the drink in front of us. Then they didn't actually remake our drink. It was fine, but when you've paid for a premium drink and they knowingly serve you something that's not correct and don't do something correct the issue, it leaves a sour impression.
I wanted to try a new trendy cafe and this place popped up. I wish I liked my latte more… the winter marzipan had raspberry on top that made the drink way too sour. I didn’t like the combo of spices in it either. The chocolate mochi donut, however, was DIVINE and was the saving grace. Line can get long and moves very slowly. Still I want to come back and try the other pastries.
Cute vibes in this coffee shop! Busy and bustling on the weekends. Lots of seating, but gets filled fast. Service is pretty quick, even with a long line. I liked the Pineapple Cake Latte (iced). It was not too sweet and the additional pastry/biscuit was a cute touch. Though it didn't have a strong pineapple flavor, it was yum! Everything Croissant was warmed up for me and flaky. But honestly... everything bagel is better. Worth a try!

Was looking for coffee shops around the area and this popped up . Seems fairly new and super popular ! We arrived with no parking spots available . We came pretty late almost near 11 am . The line was out the door but mainly because there’s not a lot of room to stand inside. They were making pour overs on the side . It’s clear they know how to make coffee ☕️ I ordered a vanilla latte and my sister an iced latte .. I think I expected it to be really great but it was just good - I still enjoyed it . It is very lovely on the inside . Open airy and touch of greenery here and there . I enjoyed sitting there and hanging out . The pastries looked good but I didn’t order any this time .
Not like any other cafe—I could tell Moonwake really knows their coffee and is passionate about it. Their menu has something for everyone: espresso drinks, creative teas, tonics, and pour-overs. I loved the cryo-milk cortado and the Cafe Chicheme, a sweet corn cream-topped iced americano that’s like dessert in a cup. The baristas are knowledgeable and friendly, patiently explaining the menu, and every drink we tried was expertly crafted. They roast their own beans, visible through windows that give the roastery a cool, lab-like vibe. The Egg Sando with ikura is a must-try, and the cozy, plant-filled space is perfect for catching up with friends or reading. Parking is easy, and I’ll definitely keep coming back!
Visited twice and tried their Cardamom Orange Latte, Matcha Latte, Egg Toast, and Everything Croissant. Their espresso-based lattes are rich and well-balanced, but the matcha was too milky and lacked flavor. The bakery items, however, were fresh and satisfying.
I really don’t understand why the hype! The egg salad sandwich was overpriced and nothing special. My passion fruit ginger espresso was a tangy cold coffee, which none of the flavors worked together. We paid $35 for two coffee and a single sandwich. The space was clean but nothing memorable or inviting. The only best part of this visit was the friendly service.
