Great shabu experience with family I’m from Colorado Springs, and my family brought me here for shabu. I was truly impressed by the quality of the food. The broth was light, clean, and very flavorful, not overpowering at all. You can really taste the natural sweetness from the slow-simmered bones. I especially loved the bun rieu broth and the tom yum broth. The meat quality was excellent and very fresh. The dipping sauces were unique and incredibly appetizing, making the whole meal even more enjoyable. The staff were friendly, attentive, and very welcoming. Overall, it was a perfect and joyful meal with my family. Highly recommend!
My buddy cheeto told me to try this place out. I’m currently here on a Thursday night and the wait is about 20 minutes. Parking can be hard to find but after doing a full round I was about to get one across the street. It’s a cute little spot that can feel crowded with big parties but frees up fast. The quality of the meat is really good, with the various sides of veggies hit the spot. Too bad I missed the seasonal broth, I really wanted to try the bun bo hue, maybe if it comes bac
It's delicious, the place isn't very big or noisy, it has a nice atmosphere, but the wait time is usually long, so don't go when you're too hungry.
The restaurant has a bustling and energetic vibe, but the noise level can be high due to limited sound barriers. Friendly and attentive staff made for a positive experience. The spicy miso broth stood out as a highlight, while the tonkatsu broth was a bit underwhelming without added spice. The entrees and appetizers were enjoyable, particularly the spicy dumplings and garlic edamame. Long wait times and limited parking could make this spot tricky during peak hours, so calling ahead to the waitlist is highly recommended. A great spot for flavorful food and lively energy, especially for small groups—just come prepared for a wait and parking challenges.
Today was my first time trying this hot pot place since my friend recommended it. We came around lunchtime and ordered the Creamy Vegetarian soup base, the Spicy Sichuan soup base, medium sized toro belly, and we got the shack sauce. The inside was busy since it was during lunch hour, but the staff were well organized. When the Creamy Vegetarian soup base first came out, it tasted a bit creamy but it felt like it was missing something. After adding vegetables and the toro belly, the soup base tasted better. I would preferred the Spicy Sichuan soup base with mild spice. The Spicy Sichuan - mild was seasoned well and when you add the vegetables and toro beef, it enhanced the soup base even more! It’s definitely my favorite here! I would also recommend getting the Shack Sauce, even though it’s an extra $0.50 for it. The sauce pairs really well with the toro belly. The toro belly meat was soft and you can taste the quality of it. Service was friendly and food was brought out fairly quickly. This is a good spot to go if you are craving hot pot. I will definitely be coming back to try the other soup bases and meat!
**EDITED POST** This place wasn’t bad the one time I was able to go. Which was why my boyfriend and I were planning to go tonight for our date night during the one time these past two weeks we were both free. I had already planned what we would order and had been craving shabu shabu for a while. My boyfriend rushed over straight after work hence why we selected this restaurant because it was open until 10pm. We walked in at 9:25pm and were told that they already did last call. I don’t understand why they would claim to be open until 10pm if they won’t accept customers after 9:20, especially disheartening because there are not many restaurants in this area. UPDATE: I went back to try with my boyfriend and his sister from out of town since Shabu Time reached out to me and it seemed like it was a misunderstanding. I had an incredible time and the waiter who had spoke to me last time remembered me and was very sweet and understanding of the situation. It was also empty except for one couple the last time so he also wanted us to have the best experience possible which I definitely understood. I’d like to amend what I said previously, this restaurant has some delicious food and the service on this busy Saturday I did go in was incredibly attentive. At some point I had dropped a spoon and immediately was offered a new one and all the waiters and waitresses we interacted with were kind and patiently gave suggestions to optimize our experience! Definitely recommend Shabu Time, just know they get busy on the weekends! We ordered three soup bases (Tonkatsu, Tonkatsu Spicy, and Tom Yum) with Kobe Beef, Beef Belly, and Lamb. Also got some extras of the baby corn, fish cake tofu, eggs, and the cilantro ponzu and shack sauce. I also got to try the matcha cheesecake. All the parts of the meal was beyond delicious.
The food was excellent. Our waitress was Amazing and super helpful when we placed our order.
I stumbled upon this place looking for udon in Japantown with my daughters. The waiter was super friendly and accommodating. He answered all our questions and was super helpful. We ordered the torro beef belly, shrimp, 2 udon noodles with tonkotsu broth. It came with veggies which was awesome. I also got the truffle and shake sauce. Everything was amazing. My kids really enjoyed it. And it was just the right amount for the 3 of us. Overall a great experience. Definitely coming back.
Jasmine gave us a wonderful experience! First time having hot pot, she was so kind to explain the process, and check in on us often. Highly recommended for a date night or out with friends, because you can easily share a meal, and it is affordable!
The soup was amazingly flavorful. Very good experience.

I was here for a music event, and my group didn't know what to eat. We found this place online and went to get some food. Eric, our sever was AMAZING! Such a sweet guy, and was always coming back to our table to make sure we were having a good time refilling out waters and adding more broth when needed. Give that man a raise!!
Shabu Time is a fantastic choice for hot pot lovers! The ingredients are always fresh, and there’s an impressive variety of meats, vegetables, and broths so you can build your meal exactly the way you like it. Everything tastes great, and the customization makes it fun. Pricing is very reasonable for the quality and portion sizes, so it always feels like a good value. What really sets this place apart is the service. The staff is friendly, attentive, and quick to help, which makes the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. The space is cozy, so weekends can get busy, but it’s worth the wait. If you’re looking for a welcoming spot with fresh food and excellent service, Shabu Time is a must-try!

My girlfriend and I went to have Shabu Time and the experience was pretty good. We enjoyed beer, hot sake, and spilt soup bases (sukiyaki, and tonkatsu) with our Kobe beef selections. The food and drinks were awesome! The beef was thin sliced, and the vegetables that came with the meat were fresh. The only problem for us was that the server was kind of slow and forgot some items that we had to ask multiple times for (hot sake, extra napkins). I feel that if I'm spending $100+ for dinner, the service should be on point as well as the food. Overall, it was a good second experience and we'll be back! (Arnold voice).
Not bad, I used to like the tonkotsu broth but when I came back again a few days ago I actually liked the creamy vegetable more. The tonkotsu didn't feel worth the extra. The mala is annoying because you have to avoid the mala seeds otherwise you'll numb your whole mouth. Unfortunately they were out of the miso broth when we went. The portion is alright, but like most hot pot places, it's pretty expensive. My favorite meat here is the beef belly. The Kobe beef and kurobuta were okay, but some pieces had a bit of a weird taste. Overall it was good but next time I'll probably just get extra beef belly.
Last Sunday I came to this place for the first time. Only one person is attending (besides the people in the kitchen), but you can clearly see that he does everything possible so each person is attended to quickly, also, he is very friendly. I Ordered: Spicy miso soup with a vegetarian entree & vermicelli Tonkotsu soup with pork & rice Hot tea The food is good, the place is clean/disinfect, in general, you will have a nice experience, quality food, and a warm plate.
Did enjoy it a lot but I think even for their priciest beef it is still a bit far from what I have tried in other places. Otherwise the price is great and favours are good too!
Food quality is good at decent price. This place is also located near Japan town, which is perfect for a warm dinner in that area.

The portion is not large. We ordered a large pork entree and it is enough for one person. No chicken or seafood options for entree either. Pork, beef, and vegetables, that's it. Seafood is available as side and is disappointing small as with the side order of udon. The soup stock is good and that's about it.

Friendly service. Not like a Japanese Shabu Shabu. Gyoza comes frozen. You are expected to boil it, and we didn't care for it. Meat, vegetables and sauces were OK, just OK. The pot had broth instead of water. No skimming tools to get the fat scum off the water. For a traditional Japanese Shabu Shabu go somewhere else. I've had lots of Shabu Shabu in Japan, so there is that.

Would give 0 stars if I could. Extremely overpriced for small portions of meat.Waitress had a weird judgemental attitude and did not make us feel welcome. Funny how its called "shabu time" which means "meat time" but it felt like we were eating vegetarian because the meat was so expensive and scarce but they were so generous on the veggies. Extremely overpriced, bad experience, wouldn't return. The broths were pretty good though. Also there was no sauce bar, what hotpot place has no sauce bar? 👎
