Mood : The store is not wide, but the ceiling is high, so it is not stuffy. First of all, the seats for dining are not cramped. With Baby : I visited this place with my baby. There was nowhere to put a stroller by the table so they took care of it(Baby stroller). They are friendly, the store is clean and thankfully child friendly. Store has high chair and buster for baby. Food part : Sashimi is fresh and soft. The sushi pro's rolls are not salty, not sweet, and have the right seasoning. If you, reading this, like oysters, order them!
It was an incredible experience! I ordered the 49er, not my favorite because it has so much crab you can barely taste the salmon and lemon, but good and the Charmander roll a salmon roll with chili, while my boyfriend went for the Toro Heaven and omg was delicious. We also shared a tempura mix and enjoyed the most delicious mango-flavored sake, which was perfect and so refreshing ✨ Every dish we tried was fantastic! The sushi was exceptionally fresh and authentic 🍣Not only was the food outstanding, but the prices were also very reasonable. We were both thoroughly impressed with the quality and value. We will definitely be returning soon. Highly recommend!
This restaurant had among the best sushi we’ve ever tried. Despite being crowded, there was no wait to be seated, and each table has its own unique QR code, which makes for a very efficient ordering system. The menu is also impressively broad. Food came surprisingly fast, and was exactly what we wanted, with the sushi rice in particular being very well prepared. Super on board with abnormal circumstances like splitting checks on orders from the same table. Special shout out to the poke don.
New sushi shop in the Berryessa area, located next to the habit and took over asian box Lots of selection of sushi and even an omakase set. If you aren’t feeling the raw fish options they also have the bento style food. Everything is order online via qr code. Would recommend the omakase set, has an aesthetic presentation that makes it an enjoyable experience, and also tastes super fresh as welll! Lots of parking in the plaza which makes it convenient. Definitely a must try when you!
I’ve been coming here for about a year now, and it’s hands-down my favorite local sushi spot. From the outside, it almost looks like a chain, but don’t be fooled—this is an authentic, family-run gem. The fish is always incredibly fresh and the rolls are consistently delicious. The chef’s specials always mix in what’s local and seasonal, which keeps things tasty. It’s always packed around dinner time—and for good reason. Definitely one of those places that feels like a hidden secret, but once you know, you’re hooked.
I went right around 5pm on a Saturday and the place was empty. The servers were extremely attentive and the food came out fast. We had 3 sushi rolls that were great! The atmosphere is interesting because the layout of the building feels like a fast food place ( like an L&L), but it operates like a traditional restaurant. Overall a solid place to get some sushi.
Must try new sushi restaurant. Their chawanmushi is a must try dish. Good portions, quality and fresh ingredients, appetizing presentation. Good food that will not disappoint and is reasonably priced. Tried both BB roll and Sushi Pro roll which are both pretty good. Will return to try the rest of the menu. Plenty of free parking. Friendly staff. Food came out quickly. Waited 5 min for the table; went around 8pm on a Friday. Clean dining area.
Can’t wait to try out this new sushi restaurant opens at San Jose. It meets all my needs for Japanese cuisine! From hot Chawanmushi and fried dishes to sushi, there are no disappointing points! I really love their beautiful and delicious Omakase dishes. Their tempura is outstanding, and my favorite is the shrimp. The wagyu beef sushi melts in your mouth. The flame-grilled salmon belly is also very good. Even though I don't usually like green peppers, their fried green peppers surprised me. The waitress is also very lovely. Sea urchin and eel hand rolls are also nice. As a Japanese food enthusiast, I think this restaurant is worth it! If you can't eat raw dishes, the cooked food options are also perfect!
Wanted sushi for dinner so I gave Sushi Pro a shot, Service was excellent, and quick. Was sat immediately, and food came quickly. Food was amazingand everything tasted delicious. Started with a miso soup, one of the best I've had, next had some butter garlic edamame , so delicious and will be ordering again when I come back. For my main I ordered Deluxe Chirashi, presentation made it taste even better. I'm not much of a sushi roll persons but seeing the rolls everyone else was ordering looked very appetizing.
Just a random visit here and I will say they were one of the better sushi restaurants I have been to. Their 3 roll combo is very reasonably priced with them also being quite good as well. Their specialty roll that I got was fantasic albeit a bit pricy compared to the rest but still a good roll. Would recommend for people near by for sure.
The food was really good. We ordered a sushi special with miso soup, a Poke don, and two ikuras. The fish were really generous, and the miso soup tasted great. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant.
Amazing sushi! Sushi pro is now at the top of our list of sushi restaurants in the SJ area. We stopped here for lunch as many of the Japanese restaurants were busy and we decided to take the short drive here. The restaurant is located in a busy mall area and parking can be a bit crowded, but there are lots of spots. We were able to get seated quickly and made our orders quickly. The sashimi was exceptional! Very large pieces of fresh cuts and we will definitely order again. Sushi was also very good as was the tempura dinner set. I ordered the steamed clams as I love them and would say they were good, but would definitely skip the Japanese style okra. Overall would highly recommend!
I've been coming to this place since they first opened, and they've been amazing every time. My wife has a serious avocado allergy, and the staff here always handle it with care, which I really appreciate. The prices are great, and the food is even better, always fresh and made just right. It's my go-to spot for date nights because everything from the food to the service is top-notch. The manager is especially awesome, super friendly and always makes an effort to check in with customers. Hands down, my favorite sushi spot in San Jose!
This is my go to sushi spot whenever I am in the area. The food is fresh, well prepared and reasonably priced. The staff is cheeful and attentive and caring. I could write a ton about what I love about this place, but you should just go see for yourself. Update: Still my go-to. Awesome staff make you feel at home! Thanks!
This sushi place is simply wow! The sushi is incredibly fresh and absolutely delicious—every bite feels like a treat. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the outstanding service. The staff are so attentive, warm, and professional, making me feel welcomed every single time I visit. On top of that, the service is impressively quick, yet nothing ever feels rushed. It’s a perfect blend of amazing food and exceptional hospitality. Highly recommend!
We went on Valentine's Day, not the perfect day because there a lot of couples ahead of us but we're able to secure a table, so that's a good thing. The atmosphere and food was absolutely a steal compare so other fancy sushi place. I loved the Philadelphia Roll and the wife liked the avocado roll. Sushi Roll was to go for quality with a budget in mind.
Absolutely amazing experience at Sushi Pro! The food is incredible—so fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. Every bite of sushi melts in your mouth, and you can truly taste the quality in every roll. The butter garlic edamame is packed with flavor and the jalapeño bomb is the perfect kickstart to the meal—both are must-haves! What really made our visit stand out was the service. Tu has helped us twice now, and both times she’s gone above and beyond. This time, I barely whispered that I was feeling a little chilly, and somehow she picked up on it—next thing I knew, she came over to let us know she had turned off the AC. That kind of attentiveness is rare and so appreciated. Honestly, I would return just for Tu’s warm and thoughtful service. Sushi Pro checks all the boxes: top-notch food, incredible service, and a welcoming atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back!
Second time eating here. This time I had the deluxe chirashi bowl. The rest had the teriyaki chicken and the tonkatsu entree. The fish is very fresh and the sushi rice is done just right. The portions are reasonable. The wait staff are friendly and attentive. All 3 dishes were served at the same time. Excellent timing. The place was very lively and full on a Saturday night at 7 pm. Overall, this is going to be my new go to place for my sushi fix. I have only 2 suggestions to make: 1. I don't like to order my food via my phone app which requires my phone number. I hope they do away with this. Besides the waiters are great at their jobs and shouldn't have a problem taking orders the old way. 2. They could do a little better with the decor. It was a bit of an eye sore to see the black menu board propped up by 3 cartons of beverages. All this in the middle of the counter. What's up with that?
A Memorable Culinary Journey at Sushi Pro♥️ I recently had the pleasure of dining at Sushi Pro, and I must say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Each piece of sushi that graced my plate was a work of art. The quality and freshness of the ingredients were evident in every bite. The fish melted in my mouth, and the rice was perfectly seasoned, striking the ideal balance of flavors. The restaurant's commitment to freshness and quality extended beyond the sushi. The side dishes, such as miso soup and edamame, were equally delightful and served as perfect complements to the main attraction. Whether you're seeking traditional favorites or daring flavor combinations, this restaurant will exceed your expectations.

We had such a great time for dinner. We had the omakase nigiri and some hand rolls 👌🏼 the service was amazing and we were throughly impressed with Van & her all star team. Do not hesitate to be treated like VIPs here.

Went for dinner. Small restaurant but food was good. On the expensive side.
The one thing that this place gets for it is very fresh fish. Not a high end place but nice enough to take a client or celebrating friends bday. Price is also very reasonable for that quality of sushi.

came here on a whim and the food was definitely satisfying. the presentation is spectacular and the fish is (mostly) good. my one gripe is with the freshness; of course, being in mainland, it is rather cruel to expect the absolute best fish. the service is nice; our server came by multiple times to check in (not an overbearing amount) and made sure cups were full (granted, the restaurant was mostly vacant). the food is a bit pricier than expected, given the area, quality, and amount, but not egregiously so. i wouldn’t mind coming back here
Hello Viewers, service is easy, as the store has implement the cell phone order system like any Chineses restaurant, so no more waitress will ever come in and take the order from you. the con side as I had to ask several times to refill my water. Sushi Pro is inside of busiest plaza, most likely a quick grab and go restaurant, I had a feeling this type of foods will go along with a better atmosphere place, like where you can stay, sit and enjoy the foods instead of quick bits/ if you are looking for quality Sushi place, you gotta come to Sushi pro for a try. the foods are un-doubtable one of the presentation in the Bay Area, you can see I have try to order everything to try on. the sashimi is fresh, small dish are well prepared, fried foods are crispy. however, the rice related dish are no good including the dragon roll and chirashi I orders. the rice is saggy and hard at the same time. P.S - did I mention they also have fresh oyster? but I think they are a bit over priced. Paul
My wife and I had a good time for our valentine's day dinner. I had the salmon teriyaki. It was a nice gesture they had chocolate and a rose. One down side is the space is a bit small. I would love it if it would expand to a bigger place. Other then that would definitely come back on another special occasion.
Went there for lunch . Lunch special is the best deal . We ordered Tonkatsu set and Gyu don set . Honestly, my Gyu don just ok , felt probably come from pack , you can find it in Japanese supermarket for $4.00 . Chawamushi ( steamed egg ) is not soft and warm . For $14.50 , you got don / salad / miso soup and steamed eggs . Friend ordered Tonkatsu was good . Single ordered Sake belly Aburi , sushi rice is good , fish is not that oily as belly part but great . Will come back try sushi next time .
My friend and I got their omakase, which comes with 9 sushi pieces, miso soup, and a steamed egg dish. We also tried the uni. I believe omakase was only ~$50. Unfortunately, you don't see that option when you check their online menu. Overall, the sushi was pretty good. It comes in a nice display that takes up your entire table. It is served all together, unlike one at a time. Uni was definitely my favorite. The place was packed when we were there, so it can be a bit loud.
This place isn't that big. If you come during peak time, usually there's a wait. It's clean with simple decor. They have quite a few waiters/waitresses working, service is pretty good. They have lunch specials bento box that is reasonably priced and it's good. It's unusual to find a place serve chawanmushi as part of the bento box, which is awesome. We tried a few of their appetizers and they're all good. Their sushi and sashimi are decent too. Overall the food is good, however, IMHO, there are a few improvements can be made: 1) There is no divider between the front door and tables. If you sit at the first row of the few tables by the door, it'll be cold or windy at night whenever people come in and out of the restaurant. They do have a lot of people come in and out for to-go orders and also for dine-in. 2) Once you scanned the QR code to look at the menu: a) For the "House Special" sushi rolls, there is no description below the name of the sushi. We don't know what's inside the rolls without having to click into each of the picture to see. It becomes way too many clicks. It makes it hard to know which roll to order (especially when you dine with kids or people with allergies). I had to use two phones - 1st phone to view another site to read the descriptions of the rolls in another site and the 2nd phone to order online to make it faster, without having to click in and out of each roll to read the description. This took awhile to order. b) After you view an item (a sushi roll for example), the "X" to close the picture is super hard to find. The "X" blends into the background color of the picture. When you click the back button, it kicks you out of the whole menu and you'll have to scan the QR code again. 3) Most of the "House Special" rolls have either shrimp tempura or spicy tuna in them. For those who don't want fried shrimp or spicy ingredients inside their rolls, the choices become very limited. Shrimp tempura is nice to eat on its own when it's crunchy. Sometimes it gets soggy wrapped inside the rice. It would be nice if there are more non-fried and non-spicy ingredients inside the rolls. Wish the chefs were more creative. The online menu needs to be improved to make it easier to use, more user friendly and allow customers to see all the ingredients of the sushi rolls without too many clicks to speed up the ordering process.
Good menu, decent portions, good taste, and fine prices for typical Japanese sushi fare. Also located in a good size outside mall that we frequent often, so it nice to have this option. We are repeat customers!
Great sushi place that has many selections of sashimi and cooked rolls. Food is generally decent, but not the best sushi in the area. Prices are reasonable. The restaurant is small but utilized the space efficiently. They also have a few tables outside. Our family of 4 ordered rolls and other dishes. Average about $15/roll. Sashimi is more expensive. Our bill came out to be about $80.
Service was quick and friendly. Presentation of food and beverage is good. Food tastes average
The food is good , fresh and normal potion for a Japanese restaurant, I was two times and really like it. We order beef teriyaki and it’s coming with rice , soup and salad, California, and Unagi rolls and hot tea. Service is friendly but I think luck of experience and practice. The decor is simple and the place small and the food/ kitchen aroma goes to the dinning area means you and your clothes smell after you eat there.
Reasonably priced good quality sushi. For the price, the sushi and sashimi has always been fresh and delicious at Sushi Pro. We recently ordered takeout where there were some issues. Deluxe Chirashi has a really great assortment of sashimi on top with toro and uni. In the pictures (Ubereats) there are also hotate but wasn’t in the bowl, so slightly misleading. They also put yuzu kosho on top of the toro which is not in their photos. Takeout can be a hit and miss with their packaging as my hand roll and some sushi were heavily covered in wasabi due to the placement and no separators. I love how for those with dietary restrictions, they are careful with the orders and even have gluten free soy sauce. Tempura is not like traditional light and airy Japanese tempura but heavily battered. Quality is 4. Due to issues worth order, the rating is more 3/3.5.
A good spot for some really affordable sushi. Order off the QR code on the table and food is delivered (very) quickly to your table. The staff are friendly and helpful. Definitely mention food allergies!

Ordered vegetable dragon roll 5 times. 3 times I got the walnut at the top. 2 times I had an offer on DoorDash which gave me 10 dollars off (this is covered hy restaurant) and they didn't even bother putting the walnuts. Always check your order if you have an offer. They will skip some items.

I ordered a to go. It looks good and tasty, but! I ate and found a piece of napkin in the bowl. And a piece of fish scale. I am very disappointing about the wellness and cleanliness
