I love this restaurant . The tortas are really tasted . Everting it's really good tasted, Specially lonche the pierna . delicious!

Tortas ahogadas are very good they really remind me of Guadalajara. Their tacos de papa and frijoles are real good also.

I only tried the pierna but it's really good, crunchy toasted bread & very juicy meat!

Tortas tasted really great. They are pretty big tortas so eating half will fill you up and you can save the other half for later. I was able to order through Uber eats and they also have the option to customize orders through the app. Salsas and chile tastes great. I had the torta ahogada and it was so good. Will definitely buy again. My family ate the torta de jamón and they all enjoyed the tortas too.

Most of my family is from Guadalajara I personally never had an authentic torta from Guadalajara, Jalisco. So I brought my dad to try this place with me and LOVED it the torta are amazing with all that sauce soaking in. Mmmmm my father said this was a place that makes you feel like you are eating in Guadalajara. I Recommend this place 100%

The food and the salsas are incredibly yummy! We ordered tacos de carne asada, carnitas, and a torta de salchicha. I wish I had pictures to show, but the food disappeared while it was still steaming.

Torta offers quality, authentic mexican food with selected food menu. Beef asada is rib-eye premium meat… I ordered veggie torta which came with egg, avocado, salsa, jalapeno and crispy bread with a mango drink. Flavors are exquisite, very fresh and unique to the chef’s style of cooking. Food is art at Torta GDL! The table next to me ordered a soup dish and the guy gratifyingly exclaimed “good food”. He was very happy with his lunch! I drove 20 mins to try this spot and it was worth the drive. I’m sure to come back to this family owned shop

The tortas were a bit different than most that I've had in that they only serve carnitas (pulled pork). I ordered to go not knowing what to expect but I was down for something new. The torta is huge and had beans and carnitas in it. On the side,they prepared onions and two dipping sauces one mild and one hot. I was warned that the hot sauce was HOT, so I didn't mess with it. The torta was delicious. Don't be surprised if you don't finish it and if you do finish it be prepared for a food coma.

Came on a Weds afternoon for a quick hawaiana torta and mango drink - it was delicious. Quick service and amicable staff. Fairly clean establishment. Parking is very tight in the plaza and the building is off.

You need to try their delicious tortas! I was driving through the area when I saw this place and thought of trying it. I'm glad I stopped. The staff is very welcoming and they were able to customize the torta for my diet restrictions. They told they make Guadalajara style tortas. Me and my sister really enjoyed the tortas and it is one of the best that I ever had! The portion size is quite big. I'm surely coming back for more. Will try some other items next time.

The torta Ahogada here is really good definitely will come back again. it will be nice to offer extra tomato sauce, sauce is great too and the picante sauce is awesome.

Very authentic, not sure if it's a good fit for Americans, but you can't get this kind of food anywhere else in San Jose.

Best tortas in San Jose, lonche de pierna is the best, the only bad thing is that they dont respect theyre own hours of operations, 3 times o got there an hour before closing time and they wont serve us because they decided to close early

The tortas here are excellent and truly authentic Guadalajara-style tortas ahogadas. The salsa has a great kick! My only feedback is that I’d love to see more carnitas options on the menu, like cuerito, lengua, or costilla, to round out the experience.

Service is very friendly,guess that's a good start. How ever the bread used for the making of the tortas was Abit way too hard.

This place is pretty good it has really good tortillas and even breakfast burritos the only thing I didn't like I ordered a desert like a flan and it looked like it had already been opened or it just wasn't didn't look pretty it didn't look appetizing and it was filled with water like condensation and the top part was really burned I couldn't even eat it I had to throw that top part away all I did was take the very top layer that was burnt off and this is what was underneath it it looked like somebody had already got to it or was jiggled about a lot.

Way overpriced. ....very little if any meat that taste like it was made with canned sauce....for $8 + not really worth it. ....bread was so hard I actually cracked a filling it was so hard and dry.....

Well I gave 2 starts no because the food . Because I was very tasty and delicious.. but you guys lost a costumer because of the cashier you guys have the day of April 19 22 more or less by 1 pm. I have the imprecion of a family own and manage restaurant but she needs training in costumer service . It's not all about food .. it's a package.. food and service ..

I honestly believed these were going to be good. I ordered a Torta ahogada and it had to be the absolute worst tasting thing ever.. The meat was tasteless the sauce was even worse.. Them they messed up on my Sons order they put chili when we clearly ordered it without.. My wife's Chilaquiles were extremely mediocre and bland.. Then the Price was outrageous $91 For 4 Drinks and the Food extremely pricy for the food and flavor.. Wont be going back again and will NOT recommend to Anyone at all..

The place is really clean, but the food taste old. The bread Tasted old, the salsa had no flavor. Service was great. But i wouldn’t recommend the food. They give tortas aguadas a bad name.

Honestly this place don't take care of the customer. they said they close at 8. got there at 7:31 and refuse to get service. Will not recommend at all there are a lot more places around you could get great food. one of the worst experience in food place
