We bought a Spanisjh Latte and Matcha Latte, both were made to order and delicious! They Spanish Latte was sweet though not too sweet . Their service was prompt. The area to sit is small.
I got the Nutella iced coffee with oat milk, it was so good. Best coffee in the Bay Area! The drink was quickly made, didn’t have to wait long.
Great coffee and quick service!! What did we order ☕? - Flat White - Cappuccino - Hot Chocolate Their coffee is just amazing—a perfect start to the day. The service was quick, and it wasn't that busy on Friday morning. Things to improve: make the coffee more warm. But apart from that everything was perfect. My friends liked it so much that they ordered 2nd cup of coffee. *Images of drinks and menu attached Hit 👍 if it was helpful ®️MillionDollarTravelling
Really nice coffee house close to the convention center. They also have themed sandwiches (at least around the OffKai con) which look really good too. Nice spot for coffee, a snack, and some relaxation.
This cozy coffee spot in downtown San Jose near the Sofa district has a lot going for it. It has both indoor and outdoor seating, an eclectic but fun style inside, and it is easy to relax and work on occasion in this place. When I'm able, I like to sit in the little table by the entrance next to an interesting tree art display, it feels almost like a little private booth. Their pastries are very nice, I always enjoy their coffee cake or banana bread- there's something about them which appeal to me and I look forward to enjoying when I come by here. For a drink, they have some very nice options which I alternate between - a Nutella Mocha, a Viennoise, or their pour-overs are my preferred options. They have some great lunch options as well, I like their avocado and egg crostini, which is basically a toast of the same name - and delicious too. They also have various freshly pulped carbonated fruit drinks, sort of like a spritzer without the alcohol. They are delicious and taste very fresh. The baristas are always very industrious, friendly, and eager to serve. Overall a nice place to add to your coffee routine.
What a great place for a cup of coffee and a early morning snack/breakfast. We came across this place when we were looking for a breakfast place while staying at the Hilton San Jose and it was a gem of a find. I ordered the Avocado and Egg Crostini and hot cup of Latte - both were delightful. The food was presented well with a generous serving of avocado (which is rare). The paprika on top added a nice touch to it and woke up the dish! My friend ordered the fresh fruit guava sparkler and said it was also great! Service was quick, efficient and with a smile. when we requested that they add the pesto to the sandwich after we had ordered and paid for our meal, they happily obliged. Quiet place, good location and highly recommended! On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being best… Food - 9 Location - 9 Service - 10 Atmosphere - 9 Value - 9 Overall - 9
Voltaire Coffee is a gem for coffee lovers. Their flat white is simply outstanding—robust and bursting with flavor. The care they put into each cup is evident, with perfectly steamed milk that complements the rich espresso beautifully. One of the standout features of Voltaire Coffee is that they roast their own beans right in the store. This dedication to freshness and quality truly sets them apart, ensuring every cup is aromatic and full of depth. Whether you’re a coffee aficionado or just looking for a great cup to start your day, Voltaire Coffee won’t disappoint.
Absolute bangers. The coffee was amazing. Love the avocado toast, although I saw a different avocado toast image from Google maps. Anyway, it's still yum and filling for my breakie
I came here seeking a cream top like at Maru in Los Angeles. While this is not it, it was a pleasant reminder of the Viennese coffee in France. Nice presentation and it comes hot. The seating inside looks cool as a place to meet friends or read a book. One outlet strip by bar if working remotely.
Great spot across the street from the convention center. I’m so glad it’s here because it’s great. I plan to visit the next two mornings that I’m here as well. For starters, it’s super cute and laid back. It has a very welcoming vibe and the baristas are very friendly. The espresso drinks are all one size which is the way it should be. I ordered two cappuccinos to go, and they did not disappoint. In fact, their cappuccino was better than the one I had from a spot around the block the day before. So glad I found this place. If I lived here, I’d for sure be a regular. Update: I was here for three days and came back every day. It was great every time. My second and third visits I got to sit and drink my cappuccino and noticed that they played French music in the background. I really enjoyed this aspect. It was such a nice touch.
Easily the best coffee in San Jose. High quality beans roasted on site by knowledgeable and passionate coffee people. Baristas know their stuff and use a La Mazocco machine. Good choice of food too. Highly recommended
Wow. I will be back to buy their beans. My God that was an excellent cup of coffee. Got the Ethiopian pourover and it was extracted _perfectly_. Lemon-y, citrus, sweet flavours with a more tea-like body, but still great mouthfeel. I enjoyed it so much. The location is a bit small. It's got the coffee shop vibes but might not be the best for staying and working. Great spot for a quick grab and go though! Love this spot, would highly recommend!

Voltaire Coffee is a hidden gem in downtown San Jose, offering some of the best coffee I’ve had in a while. The coffee beans truly stand out with a distinct flavor that hits differently in the best way. I tried the double shot vanilla latte and the caramel latte, both were excellent and crafted to perfection. The ambiance is cozy and welcoming, whether you choose to sit indoors or enjoy the outdoor seating. The latte art is impressive and adds a personal touch to the experience. The service is equally delightful, making the whole visit a hit. If you’re in San Jose and looking for a small, charming coffee spot with great vibes and even better coffee, Voltaire is definitely worth a visit!
It’s located in downtown, San Jose close to couple of museums and the convention centre, so it’s pretty busy over the weekend. I wasn’t able to find a seat immediately, but ultimately found something. The space is quite small and there were a bunch of people just working on their laptops which tells me this is a popular place for people to come get a coffee and get their work done. The coffee itself was okay. It wasn’t bad. It wasn’t great. It was pretty standard.
Saw the photos of the sliced avocado toast - but looks like it's changed to be the usual mash with greens on top. Was still fine, and the staff were nice. Guess I'll just be the first to add what the current avo toast looks like.
Nice little coffee shop right after leaving the airport . Less than 15 minutes away not so busy early morning . Service was great and the vibes were too . Plenty of seating . Got a flat white and Viennese coffee with a croissant . Everything was good - really enjoyed the Viennese coffee just wish they made their own whip cream in house instead of the store bought - otherwise decent spot !

They have unique seasonal drinks. The banana latte with Nutella was delightful. The pesto sandwich was good too albeit a little too small.

Good coffee. The cloud latte was very good. Highly recommend
Coffee was excellent, however i came here primarily for a late breakfast only to discover they changed their menu over 6 month ago. I was disappointed that all the reviews and pictures show delicious avocado toast with a poached egg 🍳. It does not exist here anymore. 😢 Highly Recommended (5 stars) for coffee. But 2 stars for late breakfast options.
They have a in house roastery, they grind the coffee right there and the coffee was pretty decent. My friend tried the veggie sandwich there and found it pretty fresh tasting and nice

Visitor looking for a coffee and sweet breakfast. First of all, the churro waffle is simply a hotel waffle maker quality waffle with cinnamon and sugar sprinkled haphazardly on some parts. $10 is actually insane, but this is downtown San Jose I guess. The barista handed me a lukewarm cup of coffee which was clearly hours old. I asked for a fresh cup and they said it would be a bit, which is fine by me since I am hanging out anyway. Waffle came, got cold, I ate some, got colder, I asked about the coffee, got the brush off, then they finally brought it out and I enjoyed my half of a cold hotel waffle and mediocre but hot coffee. Appreciate the music and atmosphere. The staff seem super nice, but it was a fail for me. Won't go back. They failed to deliver on a basic cup of coffee and a very basic piece of food.
We had a very disappointing experience here. The food menu is completely outdated and limited. They have pre-packaged sandwiches, bagels, and some pastries. I got a bagel with cream cheese and it literally came out with a disposable knife/cream cheese tub in a takeout sleeve to spread myself. The experience was completely not worth the price and disappointing for a dining in at a cafe. The overall quality was nothing better than a grocery store bagel. We also got a spinach & artichoke pastry and monkey bread, both were stale. Drinks were overly sweet and were not great quality. We've been to cafes all over San Jose and this is by far the most disappointing.
I had the kenya pour over for $7+tip. It lacked flavor clarity and too little acidity. I had hoped it'd get better as the cup cooled but some astringency crept in.
