Always greeted with a smile by the employees and wait time is almost non existent. And the awesome food is always an added bonus to the overall experience. Good job Taco Rico, you guys get a 3 thumbs up in my book!

If it came down to this or the other location by Laguna, its gotta be here. IMO better tasting taco and bigger location. 🌮 Tuesdays was a blast, although they charge .50 for chips. Other days are complementary. Their spicy green sauce by the salsa bar goes well with everything

Best Taco Roco I have ever been to. Small salsa bar, but the food, the service, and the establishment are all top-notch! They have a fantastic fountain drink system with the touch screen selection, fresh horchata and hibiscus daily. The staff were friendly, well-dressed, well-spoken, and happy to serve. Also Taco Tuesday is a great deal! The barbacoa and Chile Verde is to die for!

Great food but they did say I could bring my mom's service pet in n then changed their minds she older n it was an effort to get her inside n then have to eat outside in the cold but we managed cold food n all thank goodness they served wine as well. But we are still waiting the leftovers so yummy .

They have excellent shredded beef and one of the best crispy tacos around. The interior is nice and clean but nothing fancy and all of the staff are very nice people. I'd definitely recommend giving them a shot, one my favorite restaurants in San Luis Obispo.

This restaurant looks to me like it was once a taco stand that, after many years of success, has updated its appearance. Fortunately, it has retained its flavor and overall charm. The staff is polite, the food is good, and in the end, that's the important part...the food. I recommend it!

We've been there a couple of times and they are nice and I love their crispy tacos! Except the shredded beef to me tastes almost like it's water-logged. Not much flavor and mushy.

At first it seems a little fast food when you walk in. But in fact the food is not. It is very good food but served quickly. The service here is also good. Nice people working here. I am hard to please with mexican food. But this one gets my stamp of approval.

This is one of my favorite places for tacos for both dine-in and take out. Great Taco Tuesday location. They've got quick service, some of the best tacos I've had in the central coast, and super nice staff.

Everything about my visit to Taco Roco was amazing yesterday. The staff was extremely helpful and most importantly to me the pricing was very competitive and on point for a lunch menu. The food tasted amazing. I had the three tacos and they have an very tasty, they also had a nacho bar with six different types of salsa, cilantro, and onions. The restaurant is clean and there’s plenty of parking available. Definitely recommend this place if you happen to be in the San Luis Obispo area/Broad Street.

I had ordered the Fish Taco and Shrimp taco and was pleasantly surprised by how good it was. I normally enjoy shrimp more than fish but the fish tacos here have to be my favorite. It’s a nice little spot right near by and I’m glad I tried it. The red sauce was much spicier than expected and i absolutely LOVE that! I really enjoy spicy foods/sauces/salsa and this was definitely at the level that I like. I would recommend and I personally would like to try other options on the menu!

Great little spot near the airport for lunch. We had the burrito special and loved it, great chicken! The chips are tasty and we really enjoyed all of their salsas. None were very spicy though. The children's quesadilla was delicious.

I tried their daily special (Ceviche Tostadas) and was blown away. The crispy tostada was crunchy and managed to hold despite the mountain of fresh ceviche loaded on top. Paired with a cold Pacifico, this was the perfect way to end the week. Free chips and salsa everyday with your order except on Taco Tuesdays, when they are super busy! Lots of indoor seating so good for groups too!

Fast and tasty food in a clean, friendly environment. Veggie Burrito is good, the Steak Salad was huge and also tasty. Good salsas as well.

I can't say enough good things about the food here, ordered from Postmates while here on vacation and it exceeded my expectations! Hardshell shredded beef tacos were so delicious! I had a really tasty Machaca burrito this morning. I opted for hash browns instead of rice, and got the red salsa. It was well put together, tortilla held up pretty well for the weight. Seeing as how it took me 3 hours to eat it all, it was breakfast and lunch. I was happy with my decision to stop and give this place a try. The cashier was friendly and helpful.

Taco Tuesday is awesome! 4 tacos, chips and salsa, and horchata, for under $10. Yes you will have to pay extra for chips and salsa, but it's like 50¢. Don't order the shredded beef; it's got a texture like paste. Grilled chicken and carnitas are pretty good though.

Friendly service and great $1.50 taco Tuesdays. My personal favorite is the barbacoa taco while my girlfriend enjoys the veggie tacos. We usually don't get drinks as we find the margheritas lacking.

Really good Mexican food, I just felt fully satisfied with the flavors and options that this place offers. My family enjoyed this meal and without a doubt I will be back.

They've gotten our to-go orders wrong a couple of times. One time, we couldn't eat the food due to dietary restrictions. But you just have to make sure they understand exactly what you want and don't want.

For SLO, it wasn't overly priced but compared to most authentic Mexican restaurants in other areas, I did feel it was a little pricey. Food was average and service was good.

I enjoyed my meal here. I also enjoyed the salsa bar with chips.

I hadn't been here for quite some years and recently I've got a couple lunches and breakfasts here in the last month and I'll be back for sure! Breakfast Burritos are an all day meal and the nachos and lunch combo I had were good as well. The staff is nice when you come in and help you out, definitely going to stay in my rotation since the prices and quality are reasonable for the area also. Would recommend.

Problem with this place is consistency of quality. Every time I go its a roll of the dice as to whether the food is going to be good or not. Like the chips and the salsa. Clean and staff is friendly. Just work on the food. I will give them, some of the best churros.

Paid reviewers don't tell the truth!! This place is a rip off. Ordered Nachos. Got chips with beans and American cheese that had been microwaved! No salsa, no veggies, no nacho cheese, no guac, or sour cream. But you can have all of those things on your nachos for .60 each add on. Just to have real nachos its an extra 4$ when brought to the attention of the manager she smiled awkwardly and shook her head......will never eat here again.
