Very friendly atmosphere in this cozy restaurant.🫶 We felt welcome here.🥰 Our waitress was very attentive and friendly.😃 Our dishes were full of flavor.🤩 The steak was medium rare and juicy.😋 My tilapia was delicious and the salad was fresh. Excellent organization of the restaurant. We are satisfied. Thank you!🥰

Wanted confort food and I got it. So delicious!! I had the fried steak with gravy on the size, very large portion cooked to perfection. Friends at the table had chicken fried and the pot pie they all agree that food is right on!! No wait and let me tell you about our waiter reason why I also gave this review 5 ⭐️s AJ was amazing!! Thank you! The entire experience was wonderful and definitely will be back.

My Rye Manhattan tasted great and not that expensive. We had Cesar Salads as one of our sides for a small upcharge. Dinner portions were large enough to get 2 meals.

Very delicious lunch! Had monte cristo that was a little greasy but delicious!!!hostess with no personality and less sense of humor but Eli was waiter and a delight!

The food was good, service was really good. I wish I had dental forgot our servers name. The atmosphere was okay, nothing fancy but clean and inviting. I will be going back, Cheddar's was surprisingly really good.

My side was wrong I ordered broccoli and cheese instead of fries, my friend said fries tasted old and a few were cold. They gave me the wrong dipping sauce. But waitress/bartender were super awesome and friendly. So much so that I didn't care that my food was like warm or that there was something suspicious in my honey mustard. My friend absolutely loved his meal and it was his very first time and he was impressed with the affordable prices of the menu

We just moved to the area from Boston and were driving around looking for a new dinner spot when we stumbled upon Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen. What a good discovery! We were surprised by the quality of the food and the excellent service we received. ​The atmosphere was welcoming, and our server was attentive and friendly, making us feel comfortable. ​For dinner, my husband ordered the Tender Sirloin Steak Tips. They were prepared perfectly medium, with generous portions of sautéed mushrooms and caramelized onions, and served with a rich brown gravy over mashed potatoes, topped with a dollop of sour cream. He said it was a satisfying comfort meal—tender, rich, and delicious. ​I had the 6-oz Top Sirloin Steak, which was juicy and cooked just right. I paired it with a huge loaded baked potato, and the star of my meal was definitely the Broccoli Cheese Casserole. It was creamy, and cheesy, and a must-try! ​Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen is definitely our new go-to for a satisfying meal. We definitely recommend it. OMG the croissant drizzled with the honey butter was my favorite part!!!

Took my parents to eat here. Right off of 35, in front of Academy in San Marcos. Handicapped spots right in front. Always very grateful for those. Went in, greeted by very nice staff. We were seated almost immediately. Our waiter waited on pretty fast and very accommodating. The menu and food portions were huge. They were out of ribs at the time. Ordered Chicken Fried Steak, chicken tenders, Shrimp Alfredo and the Cheddars Trio appetizer. Took so much food home. I think for the elderly Cheddars should consider a senior plate for the portions. Might want to consider sharing. On the upside, had enough leftover for their lunch next day. Great experience!

This restaurant has the ideal atmosphere, service and food for anyone who is looking for wholesome time to spend with the family. When you think of eating a meal together with friends or family and enjoying life too the fullest, think of Cheddars. I highly recommend coming here! Great food for an excellent price.

Stopped in to eat on our way back to College Station. This one is nicer than the one we have. Love the fish tank! Food was good. The new item of Meatloaf was out. Darn! Still enjoyed our meal and waitress was attentive!

There were only 3 tables with people, so my grace and understanding for the drinks and table being kept clean is non insistent. ☆ The service would not affect me returning, though. ♡♡ The FAKE plants that were above our heads were covered in greasy dust, which was a little gross. This will affect my return...☆ ♧♧ However, I have never been in any Cheddars that the plants were not in this condition. ♧♧ Cheddars should honestly consider removing the fake plants, in my opinion.♧♧ ♧♧♧This stood out because it was at eye level in the booth we were seated at. ♧♧♧ We were passing thru town. Had dinner at Cheddars. Sat at the bar. The drinks were just ok. Our second round tasted different than the first round…. I wouldn’t go back for the drinks when there are better places for a great margarita. The bartender had very little personality. No smiles or welcoming vibes. We had to wave her down for drinks and to order food. It was busy but she wasn’t rushing around like she had a lot to do, definitely not busy enough that you cannot see the people right in front of you. The food was excellent (and the redeeming thing that got them 3 stars), other than the extreme amount of carrots in our salads 😂. See photos. Not the worst place I’ve been but I wouldn’t go back when there are other options I haven’t tried yet.

This restaurant is in a great location , near hotels and the Tanger outlets. There was plenty of parking behind the restaurant. Upon arrival we had to wait about 5 minutes at the entrance because there was no one there to seat us. Once we were seated , I had to dust the food out of my chair. We waited a good bit for our waitress. She was pleasant and responsive to our needs. We ordered our food right away but the wait to get it was extensive. Our waitress said it was backed up In the back so we were patient. I ordered a condiment on the side but my dish came slathered in it. I did not send it back because I didn't want to wait again for a new dish. The food was hot when it came and did taste as expected. We ordered the chocolate cake fudge sundae. It was supposed to be warm, but no..it was refrigerator cold and wayyyyy more icing than it was cake. Overall experience was mehhh...didn't hate it, but didn't love it.

So had a family of 7 for dinner tonight, got there and sat down around 6:20ish and we ordered food, we'll 2 other tables came in after us sat down and ordered and got there food before my family did, it took over an hour before we got our food and when we got our food we got the ticket like we didnt even get the eat, the server wasn't doing a good job she could have done better. This is the 3rd time that I have eaten here and all three times something has gone wrong either with the service, the food , or the wait time doesnt matter what time of day it is or how busy it is something goes wrong, but yall need better people working or train the employees better. Disappointed.

The service was adequate but the food was definitely subpar. The ribs I ordered were not warm, room temperature at best. The croissants were over cooked, slightly burnt and dried out. The monster cookie was inedible. It was so hard I had trouble cutting it so I could only eat some of the edges and left the center because I couldn’t cut through it. Terrible quality. So disappointed since I had such wonderful experiences at other Cheddars in the area. I guess I’ll need to go to those instead and stay away from the one in San Marcos.
