The staff, the regulars, the overall vibe - there's not enough good things to say. Treffs is a magic place that has remained consistent since I first moved into town years ago. I highly recommend it.

$2 you call its are THE BEST THING you can offer in a college town. I love this little dive bar feel. I think it should be cleaned up a bit but its a bar, what do you expect? It's cheap, it's crowded, it makes me feel fuzzy inside.

Bella has the best vibe. She is so outgoing and makes the best drinks. Ask her anything and she’s on it! Definitely one of the best bartenders at the bar. She’s makes a good bloody Maria if that’s what’s ur into. Definitely check the bar out if you’re looking for a good Chell vibe! Cheers my friends!

Kristen is the best bartender ever. Keeps us coming back always. Spicy lemon pepper wings and u better wake her for the tips. Shes got em all.

Very cute little bar away from the square. I'm a Pittsburgh fan, and they're always nice enough to turn on a game for me, whether it's football or hockey. There's usually a good amount of college kids here (only natural, it's right on N LBJ), but it also has a good mix of locals. It's funny, I've lived in san Marcos for 8 years, and just went to Treff's for the first time about 2 weeks ago. Don't make my mistake! This place is pretty cool.

Had a very nice time with friends. The staff was really good to us. However, they do need a place at the bar for ppl to order their drinks, without having to bother others sitting at the bar. But we enjoyed ourselves and everyone was very nice to all of us.

Good Karaoke selection. They were open until 2:00 am on christmas eve which is commendable. The bouncer was tough but fair. Attractive female bartenders, some of which were wearing short shorts. 2.50 you call it's every night. Not too many hipsters present which was nice. Just regular people. Would not recommend this place for vegans. More of an omnivore crowd. Darts available upon request. Good overall scene for 30 something types. Will return in the future.

Cool place, fun, been one of San Marcos's go-to local bar. Love the place. However, paying $7.20 for a frickin draft Dos Equis is ridiculous. Seriously, after a tip we're talking nearly $10 per "imported draft beer." Love the place, hate the prices....

This place is pretty cool! Karaoke night is always fun! They have pretty good drinks and their bartenders are pretty cool people. It can get really packed on Sunday nights.

Got really bad food poisoning from their food. Other than that, it’s a good time. Just don’t order food. Also the owner wanted to play pool instead of making my friends food. Had to wait an extra 30 minutes just for him to start making his food. Edit; Went back since my post^ Got food poisoning again from that place. My god I hate this place so much. Whatever you do, do not order the steak fingers or else you’ll throw up. Y’all actually suck

The bartender who is also manager and share-holder DID NOT MENTION TO US that well vodka in the form of a pickle shot would be $6. As a longtime bartender being served by a long term bartender, when I’m told “wells are $2” I trusted that Chad would be honest with us. Instead, he took us to the cleaners. If I could give no stars I would. I have been in San Marcos for over 10 years. About 6 years ago I was man-handled by a door guy for no reason. I did not return to Treff’s for almost 4 years. Since then, I have gone back a handful of times in hopes that it was just “one bad apple”, but now I see that the employees at Treff’s are out for nothing more than money. Even the door guy tonight was short and smile-less. I have received nothing less than awful service at this bar and I will not be returning.

Food poisoning from CHIPS. When was the last time the fryer got cleaned/oil replaced? 2017??? when I threw up it tasted like I had eaten all the junk in the bottom of my air fryer. Drinks, atmosphere, and service were fine (drinks were fast and good!) but don't eat food here...
