I recently tried the Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea from Teaspoon SM, and it did not disappoint! The tea was rich, smooth, and perfectly brewed—not too sweet, but just the right balance to highlight the creamy milk flavor. The boba pearls were soft, chewy, and fresh, adding that perfect bit of texture with every sip.

Our friends in Bay area suggested this place and it’s absolutely worth visiting. This place has the best mango bubble tea. It was so refreshing and felt like summer on a tall cup. The caramel bubble tea was average when compared to mango flavour. The service was quick and the ambience was decent. I would recommend the silky mango bubble tea here.

The very best Boba smoothie I have ever had. The Completely contact less pay system is innovative but also a tad inconvenient for non techie people who don't understand QR codes. Super long wait but totally worth it. The presentation, flavor and cup was perfect.

Superb bakery. Sublime cakes. Fresh bread. Fresh hong kong milk tea. Sublime egg tarts. Ahh, the pork buns. Wonderful service. Clean store. Brightly lit. Great to sit and enjoy a cafe atmosphere with fresh smells and a trendy vibe. Right in downtown san mateo with pretty easy parking. Great addition to downtown san mateo.

Thank you for being open mornings!!! Drinks run sweet I'm so happy I can get my drink BEFORE work. There are a dozen boba places downtown and Teaspoon is the only one open early enough I can get cold brew coffee for my coworkers and boba tea for me I'm a fan of the Liquid gold, fresh cucumber lychee, and the random seasonal offerings that come and go Silky Strawberry and Silky Mango come with boba and are caffeine free **This Teaspoon location does NOT take loyalty points. This place not only has a gorgeous entrance, but the menu is super easy to follow. The Macarons taste perfect and bring me my favorite memories. I had the rose oolong tea, hot. It was perfectly ratioed and the temperature was perfect. I'm so glad there's a non-dairy cream option.

I really like this boba place, everyone is very nice and the drinks are good.

I have to have tea after lunch when I am out and this is our go to place to get a nice, ice cold passion fruit green tea with crystal boba topping! Delicious!

Clean and fun vibe place to be for a great refreshing cool drinks. Easy and direct self order service. Quick turnaround with nice staff. The place is cute with light decor. Parking is street parking or big parking lot behind the place.

The silky mango with honey bubba was average, a bit too sweet. The strawberry matcha was okay, too little strawberry syrup and too much milk and matcha.

Teaspoon has the most refreshing boba, but the line is ridiculously trying my patience. The strawberry snow ice made up for the long wait. It's 1000x better than your average shaved ice.

Great spot for a drink or two. Honey boba was perfectly QQ and sweet. Service/cashier was nice and people in the back seems to be happy. I ordered the caramel Oreo. It was great and I would order again.

This makes the sixth Boba shop in San mateo (5 if we don't count Quickly). It serves Americanized milk tea, which is OK - their taro milk is tasty but I way prefer milk tea at Cha Express. Teaspoon's shaved ice is AMAZING though! Hangover 3 - Thai milk tea with mochi and coffee jelly is a must try. They stop shaved ice orders half an hour before closing so be early :)

The biggest draw back was the straw. It is not plastic and I understand why they would want to help the environment by finding an alternative. What they are currently using is not the answer though. Both my wife and I went through more than one straw while finishing our drinks and if you aren’t really careful they will crack. If you are going to use a plastic cup with a plastic lid you might as well use a plastic straw. Also they no longer serve shaved ice at this location.

it was horrible- I usually test boba spots by ordering their matcha and the quality of the matcha was so bad. It tasted like pure milk! No matcha flavor whatsoever.

What I ordered, and what I received. No matcha flavor at all, just milk. This place is going down hill.

Normally, Teaspoon has great boba, but today was definitely off. The boba in my tea had the mushy consistency of day old overcooked mashed potatoes. I was very disappointed.
