Great food best in San Miguel De salinas

We have a villa in Algorfa. A resident recommended Market Street Reataurant in SAN Miguel so after several disappointments elsewhere, decided to book Sunday lunch. This is undoubtedly the best restaurant recommendation we have received since purchasing our holiday home in the sun back in 2004. Excellent friendly service and food a plenty but beautifully cooked and presented. The staff are friendly, highly efficient and anxious to please. Thank you Market Street, we will highly recommend you and will definitely put you top of our list of great eateries.

Been dining here for years. Never a bad steak. Always cooked to perfection. The triple cooked chips are crispy and delicious.

We arranged Sunday lunch, and I must say I wasn't disappointed, it was a late booking @4pm we enjoyed attentive service starter and main for €14 everything was superb from the stuffed mushroom starter to the pork knuckle, I was so full I couldn't manage a dessert ☺️

Sunday roast like my old mum would dish up. Just had Sunday roast at Market Street. Met by a friendly lady who took as to a nice table in the window (&the air con was on), she took the drinks order as we were looking at the menu. It was all on Pork Beef lamb and chicken as well as a vegetarian option, looking at the starters I now we were in for a treat. Stuffed mushrooms for me and a salmon and prawn mouse with salad for my friend. The roast come up, a half a shalder of lamb and a plate of pork, 3 bowls of vegetables, Yorkshire puddings and crackling, I am not God but it was like feddin the 5.000 and food left over. We mist out on the sweets but thay looked lovely. If you fill that you need a Sunday roast then this the place for you. (the price £££) the food far too much for one person to eat at one sitting, we will be going back for more l)

This restaurant is excellent, the chef is probably the best in Spain. The staff are attentive and friendly. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the superior quality of the food.

I had a beautifully cooked meal here on friday 4th november. Every course was perfect. The staff were also excellent and made sure it was a really pleasant evening. I have been here a few times and cannot fault it. Lovely food and service every time. Thankyou chef and waiting staff.

Wij komen hier al jaren maar is een grote onbekende bij de NL/BE toeristen en expats. Er staan een aantal typische UK gerechten op de kaart maar de chef heeft er een eigen draai aan gegeven. Alles is heerlijk maar bijv de huisgemaakte paté laat zien dat het allemaal draait om smaak. Mocht je in de buurt zijn, een echte aanrader. Woensdag is er in de hele buurt markt. Top adres 👍

First visit in a while for no particular reason and delighted to find everything was just as good as before. Excellent service and value with plenty of choice. I asked for a sirloin cooked medium and that is exactly what I got. Asked if I could change onion rings,and have mushrooms instead, "No problem sir". Well done all.

We are blessed with several great restaurants in San Miguel and it has taken us six months to try Market Street. It’s brilliant. Really good food and service and great value. Tempting choices, hearty portions beautifully cooked and presented. We will keep coming back .

Today I enjoyed one of the best Sunday Roasts that I have eaten in a very long time. We were recommented by friends to try the Market St. Restaurant and it didn't disappoint! From the welcome that we received at the door, to when we left again after the meal, everything was top notch. Our first impressions were good! We loved the ambience, the pleasant background music and the clean and tidy layout. We took advantage of the 3 course Sunday lunch and found that the varied selection of starters would please just about everyone. The main course of roast meat with all the trimmings was excellent too, as was the dessert. Everything was cooked to perfection and the service that we received was friendly and very efficient. We will definitely be back!

Very much enjoyed our first visit. Good choices on the set menu, all piping hot and delicious. Tables well set apart so room to move and not hear other conversations.

Fabulous evening for 2, early menu, we had brie, market street salad, 2 fish pie and cheese platter for 2 as requested. The menu was 18.95 including a glass of wine, we also a bottle house red, it was all superb, the service was amazing and the ambience was just right. The best food I’ve tasted in a three week holiday, appetisers amazing and beautifully presented, mains were a delight , we only have 5 days left but we will be coming back . Brilliant !

First visit with friends after recommendations to try the Sunday lunch we were not disappointed!! Food and service deserved the 5 stars given. The restaurant is well set out, well furnished, we had a very comfortable booth. Around 10 steps to get up to the restaurant, but there is a chair lift provided for people who have accessibility issues. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it, so busy enjoying the afternoon I forgot to take any photos!!

Probably the best Sunday Roast we've had on the Costa Blanca South. We haven't been to Market Street for years but we heard the ex Chef from Crystal's was there so we thought we'd give it a try and we weren't dissapointed. The Cream of Parsnip Soup and Breaded Brue were excellent as was the Roast Beef and one of our friends had the Lamb and she said it was the best ever and at €14.95 for two courses it is great value. Keep it up Market Street 👌

The only way I can explain the Sunday roast dinner is WOW. I just had the best lamb shank I've ever tasted. Everyone else ordered the trio of meats, and every plate was cleared. The staff and service were excellent. We will definitely be back. Highly recommended to us, and it didn't disappoint.

Very good quality and value for money. This was a new try for us for traditional English sunday lunch but it was excellent. We will go again.

We had a lovely evening there with friends. Our food was cooked exactly how we asked for it could not fault the food. The staff made you feel important and they wanted you to enjoy your food and evening. House wine was very nice . We will return many times . 100% rating.

Had our 1st experience at the Market St Restaurant today, invite by Jordan the chef and was pleasantly happy with the gorgeous food to which there was loads well treated by staff well done to all the staff there

We had £25 menu which was absolutely delicious. Starters cajuan stuffed mushrooms with chilli sauce, mains had fish of the day, salmon on beetroot salad & dressing with chips and brownie for desert. Good quality well cooked food, going back for our anniversary!

We went 31st May 2023. l had the sea bass with prawns my husband had chicken creole both had such fresh ingredients and obviously cooked to order l can honestly say it was the best sea bass l had ever eaten the delicate fish very cleverly was not over powered by other ingredients. Equally the chicken was succulent. Even the chips or potato wedges were a masterclass. We shall definitely go back very soon.

We chose the €25 3 course menu and had the fish cake and pate for starters, followed by the rib eye steak with the best chips I've tasted, sauces are an extra charge. With profiteroles and a coffee. Very large portions, worth a visit and will hopefully be going again soon.

We had the pleasure of dining here for both the soft and official opening, and all we can say is wow! The new owners have made the place look fabulous and the food was amazing. Value for money was incredible, huge portions all piping hot and fresh ingredients. The staff were all lovely, quick service, very friendly, and accommodating to anything we asked. Highly recommend you pay this place a visit. Good luck on your new venture guys, we will be new regulars! :)

The Menu del Noches last Friday was top class! Our party of 7 (incl 3 children) was really well catered for in every way. The rib eye was one of the best I've eaten; I like mine rare & it was cooked to perfection. I was a bit disappointed with an additional €3 for the red wine sauce, but the homemade chunky chips & plentiful supply of Al dente veg certainly outweighed it. Incl sauce my MdN was €28, plus drinks, so overall great value for an excellent meal! Definitely one for the return again list!

Another great experience at Market Street, Phil and the staff are excellent and were on the night, great valentines meal the meat was astounding and perfectly cooked, the best “steak” I’ve had in years!

We took the Sunday lunch menu and it was great! The food was good, particularly the vegetarian lasagna. However the quantities may be a bit too large.. we couldn't eat even half of the side dishes who were served

We have been coming here for yearsand its a firm favourite. Very high standard of food and wide choice on the menu. Six stars. Update 20th Nov 2021 - had another FANTASTIC meal at Market St. tonight ¡muchas gracias! Update 4th July 2024 - went for an "early doors special", and it was absolutely fantastic (I had calamares, fish pie and chocolate orange cheesecake). Excellent service too. Many thanks.

Went for the early bird menu at Market Street a couple of nights ago, and it was very good. We went on a recommendation from friends and the whole experience didn't disappoint. The restaurant itself is very attractive inside and the service was excellent. The early bird menu at 18.75 euros is great value for money and includes starter, main course, dessert, and a drink. Not only was the food excellent, but it was very well presented. The fish pie was superb 👌. Definitely on the cards for another visit.

A Sunday roast, I had 1/2 chicken with broccoli, roast and boiled potatoes, Yorkshire pud, peas and carrots. Very generous portions.

Excellent value for money. Wide choice of dishes and all well prepared and presented. Sunday lunch for 16€ is very good.

Not been to Market Street for a while, it was greatly missed. So pleased to say the menu choices (including guidelines for vegan, gluten, diary etc) food quality and restaurant standards are still at the highest standards as before. Never disappointed with the food, I always go for the specials which are amazing. If you want a good lunch or evening out, you cannot go wrong with Market Street

Har varit på den restaurangen många gånger genom åren och jag måste säga att även om det är en av de bästa restaurangerna i SAN Miguel de Salinas så har den sjangserat de sista åren. Den familjära atmosfären är borta och även kvalitet på maten är inte som för. Den grillade kycklingfilén var i det torraste laget. Men trots allt 4 av 4.

We had heard lots of good reports about this restaurant, but had never visited. To celebrate a birthday, we took friends there for Sunday lunch. Although well cooked and nicely presented, we were disappointed with the food portions. 2 small dishes of vegetables between 4 people, along with 2 very small, undercooked potatoes per person were not what we expected; nor were the 2 wafer-thin slices of roast beef that we were given. I doubt we'll return.

2nd time at this restraunt, 1st time was excellent, 2nd time very disappointing, I opted for the 3 meat Sunday roast and if am being honest I've seen thicker skin graft, you could see through the meat when picked up, roast potatoes hard in the middle, cauliflower cheese was hard with hardly any cheese sauce on it, I will not be back
