Koi sushi is a local spot that has exceptional quality. Don’t let the area fool you this sushi spot is top-notch. Quality fish and great service makes koi one of my favorite dinner spots.

Went to San Pablo Casino after leaving we were looking for place to eat Sushi nearby. Luckily found one right across the street. Best place to eat sushi, miso soup, etc. Will definitely be back, prices were reasonable, and friendly customer service.

First time here last night. The place wasn’t crowded although there isn’t much seating. The staff were prompt to serve and check on us throughout our the meal, which I enjoy. I had the tuna stuffed jalapeños with cream cheese as an appetizer. It was delicious. I followed up with the Godzilla and Dragon rolls. Hot sake to to wash it down. The portions were nice and the price was well worth it. I’ll definitely be back. Staff were nice and very friendly

Our son found Koi Sushi on the internet. We tried them and am so glad we did. We have gone to them over a dozen times since. The quality of the sushi is super fresh and delicious!! Prices are very decent, not what I consider overpriced compared to other restaurants serving the same food.

I love Koi Sushi, especially their bento boxes! Koi Sushi is a tiny, cosy restaurant in a San Pablo strip mall, but they have a big heart and wonderfully fresh food! I particularly love bento boxes, so the first time I went there about a month ago it was the satisfy my bento box craving. Since then I've been back two more times, and I will become a regular for sure! My favorite is the chicken teriyaki with the sauce on the side. I've tried different sushi with my bento box and so far my favorite is the tiger roll. The fish is always fresh and the waitresses are sweet and quick to come take your order. Give this unassuming little spot a try, you will not be disappointed!

Food was amazing. Decent selection. Sashimi platter cuts were buttery and tasted fresh. Rolls were good portions. Miso, wakame and rice tasted fresh and flavorful! The sake ‘Nigori Matcha’ was a nice touch as well. 9/10 will return!

4.5, their sushi is good and they always give me free miso soup with my order but there are a lot of sushi nearby and this one is probably the 3rd best in terms of taste but 1st when it comes to both price and taste.

Pretty good sushi. I ordered online and the order was ready when we arrived. The order estimated time was accurate, taking only 20 minutes. I got the fried oyster appetizer and a few sushi pieces. The oyster appetizer does come with the sauce on the oysters. I recommend asking for the sauce on the side or eating them ASAP! The torched salmon with mayo was my favorite of them. The others I got were hamachi nigiri and torched scallop with mayo. I got their super white tuna or escolar sashimi to try. I wish the pieces were cut a little differently as they were very thick and cube-like. I'll come back in the future to try other items!

My son got the tempura udon and the tempura was really good but they didn't give enough of the accompanying sauce. Because we odes over$40 in good they added free chicken Karaage. The chicken was okay, the pieces were just a bit too small though like they were crumbs from the bottom of the frying basket. The taste was a bit too salty for my liking. Overall, I would definitely order from here again. 😋

Great food for price - not the best service. The female server was pretty rude and had a lot of attitude - I'm not sure if it was because it was slow and wanted to go home but we went in to order a few rounds of sushi and get dessert but each time we ordered something she would aggressively put down the check in front of us. We ordered the first round and she mistakenly didn't put an order in and dropped off the check, then once I received my food I was still eating and wanted to get a dessert she dropped off the check again right between us and didn't say anything. No refills, no pleasantries - just a hurry up and pay and get out attitude. Really unfortunate, considering we were looking forward to going out with all the good reviews. The food itself was alright - decent prices for value - the salmon nigiri was high quality and fatty. It's definitely a place that will fill you up on two rolls. It just may not have the best service on a slow day and when they only have to-go orders.

See pic; no, I did not make this red digitally..that’s the real spicy tuna! Koi, pull back! Ps, last time I was here a girl behind counter snobbishly had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for Ponzo sauce on the side, said they didn’t have it. Second time I came another girl totally knew what it was and gave it to me. Clearly some staff is under educated.

We took half of it home and used food scissors to cut it, it was a struggle because the meat was so tough. Lemonade was close to room temperature (no ice!). At least they were generous with the free refill. Water: I had to ask for water after we started eating. The guy only brought 2 glasses of water even though there were 3 of us! Rice for sushi roll was wayyyy overcooked! The only good/decent thing was the gyoza. The sauce that came with them was useless, it didn’t taste like anything. No spicy, no citrus, just blah. I also had to ask for small plates for the gyoza. As a server myself, I always bring plates for shared food. This place is so tiny and it was just my table and another table (of 2 people) that came in after us. There’s no excuse to forgot small things like this and water. I feel gross, hopefully I won’t get sick. Despite the mediocre food and service I left more than 20% in cash tip. But I’m never coming back.

Used DoorDash to order from them. The avocado maki arrived broken (wasn't wrapped in the seaweed correctly). The udon soup and tempera teriyaki sauce both had way too much sugar (were too sweet). The salmon sushi ('red lion roll") was squished and sketch (the color of the salmon - eek!). The freebie item was the only thing good: chicken kara-age. This wasn't my first time eating with them; it was me giving them another chance and test failed. I won't order from them again.

For a delivery service that said was going to arrive in 20 mins ended up being an hour and a half. I ordered at 7:20pm and got my food delivered at 9pm. I felt hangry. Ramen noodles were ok, soup base had no flavor, there was no egg like it said in the menu, sushi didn’t have wasabi or ginger and my family and I were excited about the sushi since this restaurant had 4 star ratings. We couldn’t finish the sushi because the flavor was not very good. We will not be trying this restaurant again for delivery. Maybe in the future, the in person experience with the restaurant would be better to try than delivery.

Ordered my usual appetizer Tempura on 03.18.23 & it tastes like it's been re-fried. Veggies were not fresh broccoli & onion rings mushy, couldn't eat any of it $8.16 in the trash..It was ready faster than it normally is, now I know why..

We ordered a delivery order which we’ve done several times before and have been very satisfied. Unfortunately this time the grilled salmon arrived cold. Probably the fault of the delivery person but still reflects on the restaurant.

The service here left a bad taste in my mouth. I ordered a to-go lunch and was treated quite rudely when I tried to take a quick bite before leaving. Even though the shop was empty with only two people dining. The kitchen staff insisted I leave immediately and interrupted me twice while I was trying to pack up. While the waitress was pleasant, the overall environment felt very hostile toward customers. If you're looking for a welcoming spot to grab a quick bite, this isn't it."

OMG my bad, my expectations of this place were too high. The miso soup didn’t taste like anything. It was so flavorless I was genuinely shocked. We order a bunch on Uber eats, Beca‘s roll was super salty was almost un eatable. They sent all the items about eight or 10 in one single bag in the Mississippi containers were all over the place one of them open and everything got wet… order from here again for less going to eat to the establishment
