The temporary location is all outside but the atmosphere is amazing. I don't live in CA - the restaurant was recommended by an Uber driver. They said the new building will be ready in 2 years but don't wait! I had the calamari, shrimp platter, and garlic bread 😍💙 It was all amazing and the servings were huge!

Stumbled upon this place while driving past the area, and thankfully decided to stop by and try it. It is an absolute gem. The food, the vibes, the people, just amazing. There was a gigantic line that took 30 minutes to be let in on a Sunday afternoon. The atmosphere is unlike any restaurant I have ever been to. There is tons, and I mean an insane amount, of outdoor seating, each with a table number. You order and pay through your phone and the staff bring out the food to your table. The food comes out in droves, on huge trays that are just stacked with delicious seafood. I cannot even imagine how many thousands of pounds of food they produce every day. Everything is so fresh and delicious, and with huge portions too. On Saturday and Sunday afternoons they have open mic karaoke which is super fun. Waited another 40 minutes for the food but it was so worth it. 100% recommend trying this place out!

Had lunch midweek, got the fried Shrimp and chips. It was spot on! Very good! Relaxing upbeat music, nice atmosphere, views of the water and not crowded. Different set up since my last visit. Pick a table, order from your phone, and get fish!

We kept walking by this place while exploring the area so we finally came for dinner around 6 pm on a Friday. There was staff at the entrance explaining how to place your order. You can scan a QR code at the table but that menu didn't show what one person wanted to order so we took a picture of the table number, had one person stay behind, and went to the counter to order. You must have a table number if ordering from the counter and if you don't, you're holding up the line to go back and get one. Cinderella was the staff taking orders and despite the long line of hungry people, she treated each and every guest like family. She was truly sweet and friendly. After placing our food order we got drinks and sat down at our chosen table. The food came about 30 minutes later. We had ordered tartar sauce and cocktail sauce but it didn't come with our order, so we just did without it. I gave 5 stars for everything but my mom's shrimp tacos had an excessive amount of seasoning on them. One bite and we all coughed from how salty they were. I'm sure the seasoning is normally great but it was WAY too concentrated on her tacos. We diluted them by donating our coleslaw to her but we were drinking large quantities of water to counteract the salt. Music was playing in the background and was a mix of genres. The crowd was very diverse in age and ethnicity. People were ordering fresh fish to take home and cook, platters for large groups, and individual dishes like we ordered. This was a very good spot for dinner with great views of the harbor.

The San Pedro Fish Market in San Pedro is such a fun spot for seafood lovers! The atmosphere feels lively and relaxed, perfect for hanging out with friends or family while enjoying some seriously tasty food. The shrimp boil is definitely a highlight: perfectly seasoned, juicy, and loaded with flavor. It comes out hot and fresh, and the portion sizes are generous, so it’s great for sharing. You can really tell they know their seafood. One of the things I really love is how convenient their ordering system is. You can sit down, scan a QR code, and order everything right from your phone. It’s super easy and saves you from standing in line, which is a nice touch for a busy spot like this. And I can’t forget to mention their micheladas, they’re absolutely delicious! Refreshing, tangy, and perfectly balanced with the right kick. It pairs beautifully with the shrimp boil or really any of their seafood dishes. Overall, this place nails that coastal seafood vibe with great food, cold drinks, and smooth service. Whether you’re a local or just visiting the harbor, it’s definitely worth stopping by for a relaxed meal with ocean views.

Perched on the San Pedro waterfront, the Fish Market is a breezy seafood gem with harbor views and zero fuss. We loved the fish tacos—flaky fillets in warm tortillas with crisp cabbage and zesty sauce—and the fried shrimp, plump and golden with a light crunch. Getting in is a cinch: park nearby, stroll the docks, scan a QR code at your table, and order from your phone. Food arrives fast, portions are generous, and with two drinks, our bill came to about $60—totally worth it for the laid-back vibe and coastal flavors. We’ll be back!

Food is delicious a little spice and if you order on the side you can eat at least in 10 min but if you choose what you want you gonna wait like 1 hour… view it’s beautiful and the amazing big boats one of the best thing I have ever seen 😍

Still as good as I remember it. It was definitely a lot of food. My wife had never had oysters so she wanted to try them and they were very tasty. You can never go wrong with the shrimp tray with the garlic bread! So good!! I’m glad this place is still around and we will definitely be back soon!

We visited on the 4th of July and ordered the shrimp plate with the signature sauce and picked out a fresh snapper that we paid market price for and had it fried with lemon garlic sauce. Such a clean and welcoming environment. The drinks are pricey. We will bring our own water next time.

It’s absolutely worth a try! We decided to go because we live fish. We were not sure about the experience but then..well the fish and vegetables were really good and the whole experience with people singing and so much joy was just great! We were very hungry and the wait was kind of long to order and also till we got the food. Besides that all good.

What a great place and what an experience. We used to come here often, so this really is a treat. Fresh catch, and they cook it to your liking . The seasonings they use are amazing, and it will definitely make you keep coming back. They are doing some remodeling this time, but the place is still open and serving. You sit in a table, and you scan the qr code, and they will bring your food and enjoy!

Compared to back in the day when this place was located on the boardwalk, its not the same. The price for food compared the the amount is pretty taxed. Paid $40+ for one larger beer and one smaller one which is pretty taxed imo. The food is brought to you but other then that the workers arent going around to help. There were no napkins given nor any in the napkins dispenser. Another customer had to donate some because they were given a dispenser. Overall 6/10.

Very fresh seafood, long lines. Be patient or be there early, otherwise the lines are long and kinda slow. Excellent spot next to the water. Big portions, should’ve ordered less for my husband and I

They are currently remodeling, so it’s all outside seating. Parking is 10$ and there is an attendant when you drive in. As always, delicious! Super friendly staff, quick service, and seating is open, under canopy and high top tables. Ordered the Shrimp Plate and Baby Octopus in mixed sauces. Side of Garlic Bread. Picked up and enjoyed at the hotel. Definitely a must have when you are in the area. For $46 with a Jarritos Soda it’s nicely priced.

Family vibe on the water front. Cruise ship, Battle ship museum, Tall ships and maritime museum and the popular fish seafood ports o’ call. Huge line and long wait time to enter the food court. Parking is $10

Everything was great except we should have been warned how much food is served to prevent over ordering. Inclusively staff should have asked level of spiciness as one of the platters couldn't be eaten do to the heavy spicy seasoning. However the fried red Snapper reminded me of Puerto Rico! That was absolutely delicious. Wish the coleslaw had flavor vs shaved cabbage in a cup with some water.

The paid parking is $20 on Saturdays. We just used metered parking a block away for $0.68. The harbor area of San Pedro is quite nice and safe. The San Pedro Fish Market is next to the LA Maritime Museum and not too far from USS Iowa Museum. So there's no actual fish market, it's a great place to enjoy fresh seafood (they offer hotdogs and burgers as well) with friends and family with live music. Most of the bench tables have good shades. Once we pick our table, there's a QR code to place order. 1. The fried calamari is good. 2. Our veggie mix and the shrimp a la plancha dishes were combined into one box. Interesting, maybe it's more practical or perhaps it was a mistake? 3. The crispy fried whole red snapper is fresh but it's a bit bland, we tried to compensate by adding salt and pepper. 4. Elote is quite good. 5. They messed up our order of Michelob Ultra with rimmed chamoy and gave us Michelada at first, which they corrected immediately. No big deal. Truly enjoy the live music and the ambience. Will come back with a bigger party and order the Harbor Tray.

I couldn't go more 4star. prices are okay but same fish in 99 ranch market. Fish n chips was okay not meet expectation. it's basically built for tourists or one time visitors. I am sure San Pedro should have some good local restaurant I will explore down the road. It's okay to give it a try and you may find it better than I said!

The fish market is the only place to eat at the board walk. The lines are long to get in and then another long line to order your food but wait another long line to order your drinks. The food comes in about 30 minutes, nothing fancy but basic and expensive for what you get. It’s all outdoor seating on benches. The area is being redeveloped so wait until the project is done for better options. Parking is also $10 to park to park on dirt.

Man i wasn't impressed this time with the food. It took a while to get in. We waited almost 45 min when there were many seats available. For a Sunday afternoon I was shocked it was a long wait.. wow when did the platter cost so much we ordered the Shrimp and potatoes' platter with the fish...lol grateful scenery is good would come again but definitely hope I can be impressed next time. It used to be very alot better and wow less expensive.

The food section, where they sell seafood you sit on the table and scan it with your phone and place order they bring it out to you after you order. The food is ok it wasn’t what I was expecting. The shrimp didn’t have much flavor, I order the spicy flavor and they weren’t spicy they were actually sour. The potatoes weren’t cooked all the way, the toast wasn’t so good.

This place is a complete hype. The food was mediocre at best.. service was confusing and slow. You’re eating out and open elements in the wind can blow off your plate. The shrimp plate for 1999 was full of potatoes it even blacked the onions that give it the flavor. The shrimp were extra small and with the tail on which means you had to remove the tail each time you took a bite, which made eating it a mess.

My family and I used to go here in the summer for over 20 years. The food used to be fresh, used to have a pier atmosphere. Its frozen now, super expensive, small portions, and it costs money to park.

I'm sorry but this location needs to do a much better job at letting people know that the $10 parking fee is non refundable. A friend and I went to the location in San Pedro, because that's what she's familiar with. We paid $10 to park, only to find out after a 5 min walk, that the line was extremely long. You can't see how long the line is from the streets / parking lot. And even if you choose to wait in that line to get in, you then have to wait in another line to get your food. Honestly when I walked up to this place and saw all the tables, it instantly reminded me of a swap meet, fair or amusement park. Nothing but picnic tables. On the way out, there was a couple walking along side of us, who also decided to leave due to the long line(s). So imagine x amount of people paying $10 for parking, taking a 5 min walk, seeing a long line, and then changing their mind. They made $20 in 5 min, just from 4 total strangers changing their mind due to the wait time. At that point we decided to leave, and go to the Long Beach location. As we were leaving, I asked one of the parking attendants about a refund on parking. He said that parking is non refundable and it's stated on the parking receipt. I said to him that the parking ticket is not handed to a customer until after they pay, so therefore you cannot enforce that. He then said that I could talk to the owner. I talked to the owner who told me that there's a sign in the front as you enter, that says parking is non refundable. He did sound apologetic about the situation and offered a solution. Upon entering, we did not see any signs in relation to a non refundable parking fee. And even when we were leaving, I looked for and did not see a sign. And even if there was a sign there, a better job needs to be done verbally, to let people know that parking is non refundable, as well as letting people know some sort of ball park figure on the wait time. So as a customer, you're basically taking a gamble on losing $10, after you find out that the wait time will be an hour or more. On another note, I don't understand why they are charging people to park, when most people are going to spend an average of $100+ or more. Anyways... after we left, we went to the Long Beach location, which had no wait time (at the time we went), and the view was definitely much better. I am almost positive that with how long the line(s) where, that we got to the Long Beach location and got seated faster than how long we would have waited in line at this location. Do something about the transparency of the non refundable $10 parking fee and the wait time.

I’ve been to this place several times. Honestly, I preferred it when it was the old market. Whatever changes they made since then it does not work. Instead of eating on the pier, and having more restaurants to pick from, everything has been reduced to just the one restaurant in a freakin parking lot. First of all, there’s not enough seating that is in the shade. Secondly, the wait time was atrocious. I came here with my mom, my aunt and my boyfriend. We only ordered the one tray of food no drinks, no sides and it took us damn near 90 minutes before we received our food. And that’s only because I went up there to get a refund because our entire Saturday was wasted waiting for lunch. I don’t wanna blame the staff because they did nothing wrong, but something definitely needs to change. After we had gotten in, placed our order and was waiting all that time they closed the front gates so no one else could get in. Anybody else who wanted to get in had to wait. Personally, it didn’t look like anybody was telling those people what was going on and how long the wait time was going to be. I started to think they had ran out of food and didn’t wanna tell anybody. There was nothing coming out of the kitchen for anybody for a minute except beer and margaritas so people were still getting lit. I wasn’t the only person who was looking for a refund. There was a line of other people who wanted to get their money back as well. Some stayed because they got their food faster after they have complained. Others decided they were still going to leave and just never come back. Here’s my advice to those who want to come down here, get here before noon. I know this will be a hell of a breakfast, but that’s the only way you’re going to get a decently timed meal. Anything after 1230 to 1 o’clock you’re eating at your own risk because you might not walk out of there until 4 o’clock in the afternoon. My suggestion to the business, why don’t you just set a limit for how many people you wanna come in before noon, then close it down so nobody else can come in. Give your staff time to cook, serve, clean, and REST while customers are eating. Then open it back up like 2-3 hrs later for new people to get in. Clearly there’s not enough people to run this and management apparently it’s just incompetent. Folks are paying way too much to be sitting around in the hot sun, burning to a crisp, almost 2 to 3 hours just to get food.
