Great service and yummy food for a great price. The servers are very attentive young kiddos who are on top of the service. The restaurant is very small and cozy, it seems that most locals get their food to go. Very close from the hotels in the area but definitely a locals restaurant.

This is easily the best "hole in the wall" sushi joint I've ever visited. The rolls were delicious, the appetizers (we highly recommend the spicy edamame picture below) were scrumptious, and the main courses were quite filling. The service was exceptionally prompt and friendly. If you're anywhere near South Coast Plaza, I whole heartedly recommend you try them out.

We went there with my wife for lunch and it was amazing. Very delicious sushi. It’s a small cute place with great sushi. Highly recommend it. We ordered Backed salmon, spicy crunchy roll and crunchy dragon roll. The only issue I had was that the way the restaurant is situated you get a lot of sun light into the store. It was a bit blinding lol. But that’s okay, for this food I will go and have sushi with my sun glasses.

Okay, I am a sushi addict, and this place opening near my house is the greatest thing that happened to me this year. Their sushi is absolutely delicious, some are really huge, and they are moderately priced. Philadelphia is so fresh and delicious you’d think they only caught the fish prior to your visit. Crunch roll is ginormous and has a perfect combination of crab meat, shrimp and their special sauce. California roll is an eternal classic that is simple yet delicate. The selection is great as well! They have sushi burritos, noodles and of course, tons of sushi options. Ten out of ten. Special shout out to the personnel - they are friendly and lovely and always make you feel welcome. I am writing this review because I really want this place to be successful and stay near my house for as long as possible.

I absolutely love Sushi and this is one of the best tasting sushi places I have been to in a long time. Maybe I was hungry. I had Tonkatsu Raman and the Raku Roll. The raman was very good and the Raku Roll was OUTSTANDING!! The roll was very large including ample fish and non-rice fillings. Price was also reasonable. I will be back next time I fly to SNA.

Super cute and cozy Japanese food. Nice place to grab a quick bite. Spicy tonkotsu ramen was great (not very spicy but that's fine) and they have a grand opening deal to add a side dish for a dollar! Of the prices don't get too crazy this'll be a great spot to grab food near South Coast

Nice little Japanese restaurant with ramen, sushi and teriyaki. Friendly service and great prices. I had the spicy tankatsu ramen and a California roll. Both were very tasty. Recommended.

Ordered 4 rolls here and miso soup. First the Aloha roll, soooooo good! Crispy fried onions, avocado, and albacore on top of a spicy tuna roll. 10/10 recommended especially if you don’t like very fishy tasting sushi. Next the tempura spicy tuna roll. Probably the best tempura roll I’ve had. The rose roll was really good too. California roll w/ Spicy Tuna and tempura flakes on top. All rolls were delicious and the miso soup was a great way to start. Will come back again for sure!!

Ordered Washington roll and spicy crunch roll to go. Ingredients were fresh and they came with sauces in separate containers, which I liked. Prices were reasonable for the quality we got.

Yeah I freaking love this place. The go to spot with the go to people. It’s a quaint spot so if waiting isn’t your thing it’s a hit or miss.

First visit. Enjoyed their Black Ramen, Spicy Garlic Edemame, Gyoza, and Jessica Roll. Liked that they had combo meals. Wait staff were very nice and accommodating.

I had to call ahead of time before ordering my daughter her crunch roll through door dash. My daughter is very allergic to mayo and Angel and the manager from Raku were able to help us out. They were able to remove the mayo from the crunch roll so my daughter can eat. I really appreciate how wonderful and amazing service Raku Sushi is with their customers.

Very generous portion sizes, definitely worth your money. The staff was super kind and welcoming. Order was quick, no wait time. On top of that, food was delicious. I ordered the rainbow roll and it was super fresh, large diversity in the fish offered and very flavorful. 10/10.

The food was good I had a dragon roll and tuna roll. I didn’t get any pictures. The staff greets you as soon as you open the door. Customer service was definitely on point.

My son and I just went for the 1st time and loved it! The food was on our table within about 5 minutes and was super fresh and delicious. Nice staff too. Very clean. My son had the black ramen and it looked and smelled amazing. Definitely coming back!

I was in costa mesa for work for 5 days and I came here almost everyday because it was sooo good. The sushi tasted very fresh and the black ramen was amazing. Really friendly service and quick too. Im back in NY now and I’m craving this ramen 😩 10/10

Good food for the price. Chicken teriyaki was a bit on the cold side, but the salmon was hot. Good portion of rice and salad with the combo meal. Small place but wasn't too busy. Service was excellent.

Delicious!!! Tried the Tiger roll, Jessica roll, and chicken cutlet teriyaki. We brought a big family group and had an excellent experience. The staff was extremely friendly and good with the kids.

I just stumbled upon this sushi place running my store errands and ordered two orders of spicy crunch roll and miso soup it was lovely experience the atmosphere is great wonderful music being played . Also the vibe is very nice and easy going staff, very tentative Katelyn , and Jessie were very friendly amazing customer service!

The Sashimi Salad $12.95 was refreshing, and the Assorted Sashimi (12 pieces) $26.95 was fresh and well worth it. The Philly Tempura Roll $13.95 had great texture, and I really liked the Tonkotsu Ramen $13.95 which was warm and satisfying Overall, everything tasted great, and the prices were very reasonable for the quality. Nice small place. The food is delicious and fresh. Their sushi burritos are a must. Definitely recommend it if you’re craving sushi, or sushi in a non-conventional way.

Got the Black Ramen. Some of the best ramen broth I've ever had. The sushi was also very good. Edit 1y later: The first time I visited, they had just opened a couple months prior, and the ramen was indeed spectacular. However, it has not quite lived up to that bar since then. It's good, but not as good as when they opened.

They replaced real flower decorations with plastic ones that I saw taken out of dirty dishes from other customers and put on fresh rolls beings served, which is quite disgusting. The quality of the rolls seems to have gone down as well. Such a shame

To top it all off, the bill was over $100, and we were treated like an inconvenience the entire time. The server was visibly angry, glaring at us throughout the meal. The only saving grace was the sushi, which was excellent. But honestly, who cares when everything else—ramen, service, and accessibility—was a total disaster? The place used to be the go to. They have fallen into the shrinkflation trend. Rolls are thinner, appetizers are smaller, jalapeños poppers are half the size now. Service is good but same price for 2/3 of the food.

I will NEVER eat here again and neither should you!! I got SUPER sick last night from eating their bad sushi - the spicy tuna was so mushy and old tasting then I started throwing up that night...omgggg. The miso soup and shrimp tempura was good but that sushi made me SOOO sick with how old that fish was 😰😭
