Had a group, the staff was very helpful and attentive! Food? A culinary experience. The table (even my keto friend!) loved everything. The steak was probably my favorite.
AnQi Bistro is absolutely fabulous on every level. The food is delicious, great soups (incredible lobster and shrimp wonton soup), Potstickers, delicious noodles, delicious Asian fusion and more. We were at a birthday party and the setting was gorgeous and set up perfectly to talk with everyone. It’s the perfect place for any event. The decor is amazing, modern and Asian and filled with bright lively colors. The cocktail bar is very nice and great drinks. The food is very health with delicious vegan food. Enjoy every bite with friends and family. Love it !
The food was amazing and the ambiance was perfect for a date night, but what really stood out was the attentiveness and professionalism that came with our server Shannon. She is what really made a difference in our experience at this restaurant. She asked if this was our first time and then proceeded to take her time going through the whole menu (drinks menu as well) and knew it like she made it herself. I never felt rushed and always looked after. I don’t do reviews usually but after coming across her I felt like this was the least I could do. She deserves her credit for sure.
We have now been her a few times and I must say, the food is amazing, great flavors, fresh. We had great service, drinks filled, food came out fast and hot. We are the Butterfish, Garlic Noodles, Roasted cauliflower and Brussel sprouts, pastrami egg rolls and short rib pot stickers.
Delicious food and delicious drinks. All the appetizers we got were really good, I got the Peking Chicken and it was amazing from the poached egg on the rice to the skin on the chicken being like candy. It was fantastic.
Overall this is a wonderful restaurant. The ambience inside is very good and the service was very informative and efficient without being fussy. The server was well informed of the menu and offered excellent suggestions. The garlic noodles are the signature dish on the menu and do not disappoint. The steak i ordered was also excellent but a little small for a person of my size. I also highly recommended the lobster dumplings and we ended up ordering a second plate Really the only thing i was concerned with was the person refilling the paper products in the restroom stall. At a restaurant of this quality i was very disappointed to see the paper product arranged in an “under the back” orientation. Over the top is the only way to go. Ill change my atmosphere rating to 5 stars if they can train their team correctly on this
First time at AnQi. Loved the food. Beautiful flavors. We ordered the garlic noodles which I am told is must. The lobster and crab dishes were very well receive by our table. Eggplant dish was very good although can feel heavy since it seems to be deep fried. The tuna tacos are a must! And the salt and pepper calamari were really good. Different than the typical calamari you get at restaurants. Filet mignon dumplings were good but I enjoyed the calamari and tuna tacos more as an appetizer. For dessert we got the table side ice cream with beignets. Seeing them make the ice cream on the spot was a great experience and the ice cream was very good along with the beignets. Definitely recommend AnQi. I know we’ll be going back.
Great family style team dinner for work. The space was too small for our group. That could have been poor planning on our side, not sure. The food was very good, I don't think there was anything that we ordered that was not amazing! There is no men's room. Wasn't an issue, was just surprising. There is a woman's restroom and then an all gender bathroom. Dessert was great, it was the cookies with ice cream.
Had lunch with a dear friend here who recommended this place and their garlic noodle. We also liked the cauliflower and brussel sprouts since it added a nice refreshing taste after the creamy garlic noodles. Food was good and service was great. Water was always filled and they knew when to ask when we needed something. The seats and tables were comfortable to hang out and catch up with people which definitely added a wholesome kind of feeling since I was there with a dear friend. Overall I really enjoyed the food and dining experience.
Had a great first-time experience last night, celebrating my friend's birthday! We had the lavender mojito drink, siracha popcorn chicken with biscuits and sausage gravy appetizer, garlic noodles with chicken skewers, and chocolate chip with freshly made ice cream. 😋 We will definitely be back!
Table side ice cream cookie was amazing and massive, plenty for two to share. Fun to watch them make the ice cream. Leek dumplings were great and came with a nice sauce. Kimchi fried rice was amazing and reheated well. Truffle fries were perfect. Bartenders and overall service was very nice. They made us special drinks since the new melon drink wasn't quite out yet. The lychee cocktail was sweet, but super refreshing with the pears.
Wish I’d taken more photos, but was too busy eating everything! We went with a larger group so we got to try lots of things. Standouts were calamari, popcorn chicken, brussels sprouts, kimchi fried rice, lamb chops, and the lobster with garlic noodles. Those garlic noodles were amazing. Table side vanilla ice cream and warm cookie was delicious and worth the experience!
We made reservations for two at 5pm which is the time that they open. We waited maybe five minutes and then was seated. The place is very nice and the ambiance was also very delightful. When I made the reservations on open table I noted that it was our wedding anniversary. We order two drinks(wine) to start with and thise came very quickly. We started off with the leak dumplings which were delicious. Note that three come on the plate. We also ordered the ribeye on salt rock, another butter steak and the eggplant. Everything was extremely tasty and well cooked. If you are looking for a place to celebrate something at I would try this place out. Because we noted that it was our anniversary they gave us a complimentary desert.
AnQi Bistro is probably one of the best Asian Fusion restaurants I've been to. I ordered their best selling tuna tacos and they're light with a crunchy exterior with a somewhat heavy interior of tuna. I also ordered their garlic noodles which you can't go wrong with, and the orange chicken which had a very crisp outside of breading. When coming here, you should definitely order the tableside ice cream before you leave if you're here for the first time! The quality here is amazing for a more extravagant version of everyday Asian food, and I hope to come here again soon.
Anqi is one of our favorite places in town. Beautiful place and great service!!! Food is always delicious!!
Ryan was the greatest waiter of all time! Recommended wonderful food and drink options and made us feel so welcomed and special. We had so much fun and yummy food we closed the place down and were the last table left for the night.
I celebrated my birthday at Anqi and I had a wonderful experience. Beautiful modern decor and spacious. You can host a private party, fashion show, corporate events, holiday parties, and more. Service was great, drinks are pretty and strong. I love the table side ice cream! What a lovely treat. I ordered the Anqi wok shaken beef (pictured). Restaurant is near Bloomingdale’s, facing the 405 fwy. If you’re in OC, you must visit Anqi. You wont be disappointed!
The Crab and famous Garlic noodles were incredible! huge succulent crab was die to for if you love seafood. The ambiance was also beautiful, fun, and romantic. I highly recommend the icecream because of the dryice experience and the fact that they make the ice-cream right in front of you. We also tried the ube coconut cake was so smooth! very fun time here and would come back again. Our server was also excellent with his knowledge and personal taste of foods he liked
Residing in The Collage at South Coast Plaza, it's easy to see why this restaurant is Michelin recognized. Every dish was on point from flavor to temperature and overall preparation. I have been there several times and have zero complaints about the food. I will admit the service can be inconsistent, and even though it's never bad, it can sometimes be slow and difficult to find your server. The tuna tacos are amazing, and I would recommend getting more than one order (three come in one order) if you have three people because someone, if not all of you, are going to want a second taste. The shaking beef is fantastic and the garlic noodles are an absolute must. The eggplant is incredible, even if you aren't a fan, I guarantee you'll like the way this is served. The butter fish is delicious, as are the dumplings. Don't forget to leave room for the beignets. And, if you're willing, get the tableside ice cream just for the experience.
My family came here for lunch today with our little girls and we had the best time! Our server Kitty was fantastic, super quick and kind and great with the kids. We also ordered the tableside ice cream which was such a treat - it was prepared at our table with a huge cookie and dry ice! We will definitely be coming again. Happy holidays and thank you to the staff at AnQi 💝
This restaurant is a must!!! Some of the best vegetables I have ever had. When is the vegetable the star. Here !!!! I ordered the cauliflower and broccoli vegetables made with turmeric. It was the best vegetables I have ever had in my entire life. I also ordered the fish with red rice. It was excellent. My husband got the lobster with garlic noodles again another excellent dish.
Stumbled upon this place (initially wanted to go dintaifung which was beside this but there was a really long queue) and no regrets at all!!! The food was so AMAZING AND DELICIOUS!!!! Had some of their specialities - Tiger Prawns Garlic Noodles, Garlic Rice with Roasted Chicken, Rosted Cauliflower & Brussels Sprouts, Lobster Dumplings and a glass of moscato🥂! My favvvvv dishes were the garlic noodles and roasted cauliflower + brussels sprouts omg 😋😋😋🤤🤤🤤 the ambience is very nice and makes for a romantic dinner date! You can just order the garlic noodles on its own without the prawns as they weren’t that fantastic imo. There’s a wideeee variety of dishes and I spent a while deciding what to order 😆 There’s also a small photo corner at the entrance! This place is worth 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 for me, albeit a bit pricey😁 I thinkkk it’s a Michelin restaurant if my memory didn’t fail me!
While shopping at the South Coast Plaza, I was lucky enough to get last minute lunch reservations to Anqi. You NEED a reservation to eat here. This place was absolutely breathtaking inside! Absolutely beautiful! The staff were very friendly and full of conversation! There were a lot of dishes on the menu that looked worth trying but I decided to go with the famous Garlic Noodles. I was not disappointed… It definitely was worth all the hype! I plan to revisit again for brunch and dinner!
I went here on a business lunch and loved the food. We were immediately seated and our drink order was immediately taken. I had the anti noodles with chicken and was not disappointed. I liked it ao much I had to stop myself from eating my whole meal so I could bring aome home to my wife so she too could partake in the fine meal I had discovered. I would definitely recommend the place.
AnQi Bistro offers delicious food with a sophisticated vibe. This restaurant offers 3 different seating options: the bar area for socializing, the lounge for intimacy, and general seating for large groups near the west side mall entrance by Bloomingdale’s. Book your reservations 1 week in advance to receive a good seat in the lounge by the runway to avoid loud groups in the general seating section of AnQi. Ann’s famous garlic noodles with crab and calamari are our favorites!
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday and AnQi made it such a memorable and delicious experience for us. The restaurant is beautiful and spacious and was not too loud. It was a perfect dinner. ♥️
This is a great Asian fusion at the restaurant it has something for everyone. We came here with a party of four on a Sunday night, easily got a table not a problem. I'm guessing this place gets pretty packed on the weekend though. For appetizers we had Tombo Tuna Tacos and Shrimp & Lobster Dumplings. Both were very delicious and presentation was. Our entrees were Crispy Orange Peel Chicken, Misoyaki Butterfish, Grilled Prawn Garlic Noodles, Kung Pao Eggplant. And by far the eggplant was the winner for us all. Interestingly, they don't give you chopsticks, which is kind of strange since it is a a Asian fusion restaurant, but apparently nobody cares. 😆 I would come back here but only for a special occasion.
AnQi Bistro is so good. They do a good job of blending different Asian flavors together. My favorite is the Eggplant, the way AnQi does eggplant is better than any other Asian style I know however on my 3rd visit the eggplant was soggier than the first 2 times and all the times after. The lamb chops were exploding with flavor and the butter fish was cooked perfectly. The service is pretty good and the atmosphere was just so cool. AnQi does have some consistency issues but overall it is very good.
AnQi Bistro – A Spectacular Dining Experience I recently revisited AnQi Bistro, and my experience was nothing short of exceptional. Two years ago, I wasn’t impressed, but this time, everything was on point. We started with the Caesar salad, which was surprisingly delectable. The crispy jam lettuce and the warm crisps added a delightful texture. Then came the King salmon, paired with a side of vegetables. While the vegetables were mediocre, the salmon itself was well-prepared. The absolute standout was the Brussels sprouts and cauliflower—one of the most delicious dishes I’ve ever had, with a generous portion size. The garlic noodles, though a smaller portion, were perfectly balanced, especially since we were saving room for dessert. We also added chicken thigh skewers, and despite typically not being a fan of dark meat, I found them fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly enjoyable. For dessert, we ended the night with the tableside ice cream experience, which was mind-blowing! Watching them make the ice cream right in front of us added to the excitement. It was served with a warm cookie, crisp peanut brittle, custard, and jam—pure perfection. Our server, Thuy, was fantastic, pacing our meal perfectly and giving us a much-needed break before dessert since we devoured everything so quickly. Pictures don’t do justice because the it’s a dark restaurant with a cool Vegas vibe. This was a completely different experience from my visit two years ago. I highly recommend AnQi Bistro, and I’ll definitely be back. Posting some pictures and videos to share the magic!
An Qi is the Orange County representation of the Crustacean of Beverly Hills, with a little bit of modern and casual vibe. It is conveniently located right next to the Bloomingdales of South Coast Plaza. We always end up coming here after shopping or vise versa in order. The food , as always and as consistent with the other A Family restaurants is good that includes their classic garlic noodles in their menu. We recently came here for dinner and service was excellent and the waiter ( I am sorry I forgot his name)’was excellent with his personality and his expertise on the menu. We had what we usually order, including their cod. We had their signature garlic noodles of course, and we had my favorite kung pao eggplants along with the usual starter salads. We wanted their signature crabs but it wasn’t available that day ( Monday evening) and apparently available only on certain days here at this particular restaurant. They have full bar and awesome pours on their cocktails! Overall, the food was excellent, the service was impeccable, ambiance is really nice. Location can’t be beat and the parking is easy being that it is inside Costa Mesa’s South Coast Plaza.
It was a rainy day so many people were at South Coast Plaza on a Saturday afternoon. My husband, son and I stopped by AnQi Shaken & Stirred Noodle Bar for a late lunch around 2:30pm. We decided to sit at the bar tables located outside of the restaurant on the Plaza floor. The menu is much cheaper than the main dining with more bar food selections. Our server was friendly & attentive. There are a variety of menu choices & vegetarian dishes that looked delicious. We ordered the Micro Cucumber & Tomato Salad @ $5, the Filet Mignon Beef Bowl with Noodles @ $20, the Shaken Filet Mignon Beef Bowl with Rice @ $20 and the Shaken Firecrackers Prawns with Rice for $20. I thought the prices were reasonably for the amount served. The dishes were tasty, flavorful and nicely presented. My husband, son and I gave AnQi high marks for overall delicious and friendly staff. I would definitely come back to try the other dishes.
Great celebration restaurant. Came here for a friend’s birthday celebration dinner and this place did not disappoint. The service & food was great. There’s a wide variety of options to choose from & it’s great to eat family style if your coming with a big party. We ordered everything from appetizers to entrees. Definitely must try their famous garlic noodles, but the chow fun noodles are good as well. The Asian fusion cuisine lets you have a global taste of dishes inspired by different Asian countries. The also serve mocktails for people that don’t drink. The vibe of the restaurant has a night on the town feel. The beautiful floral backdrop towards the front makes a great photo op. The also have a bar to your left when you walk in. Since it’s pricey I probably wouldn’t regularly come here, but it’s a great place to celebrate life’s big moments. They are located where Bloomingdale’s is so the Bloomingdale’s parking is the best place to park.
Fusion asian restaurant in South Coast Plaza next to Bloomingdale’s, Looking at the innovative menu I had better expectation from the food, the drinks were exceptional though, a little bit pricy compared to the food they provide, nice atmosphere interior design and good customer service, food presentation needs to be improved
Nice Ambience. Like the set up. Wonderful staffs. Cool drinks. But... Chef was kinda generous on the salt and my Filet Mignon was overcooked ( my guest was just because my dish had to wait to come up together with the other main plates on my table) but the nice manager came over to fixed it.
This place has been on my list for a long time, and finally I got to eat here. The restaurant is beautiful full of flowers and candles. Service was impeccable, and we were well taken care of. Food was delicious. We ordered the chicken satay skewers, shaken beef, and chicken garlic noodles. The only reason I am not giving this place 5 stars is because it was pricey for what you received. The chicken satay skewers were 2 small pieces for $16. The mIn dish portions were better value than the appetizer. With tip, our bill for the 3 items was over $100. I'm not sorry we ate there, but I probably won't be going back too soon. Hopefully they will have a deal for OC Restaurant Week.
Food was good (4 stars). Our waitress was snooty and inattentive. Refilled our water glass with a splash (literally) & dash. Not a smile or kind word. However the Floor Manager lighting the candles and the man busting the tables showed far more hospitality. Ambiance was nice, full bar and for those not wanting the linen table dining there's an area to eat at the bar or experience counter dining. Located at Bloomingdale's Mall area.
This place is so beautiful. Very nice decoration, the service is excellent. Generally, the foods are not ok not too bad - garlic noodle so yummy, sauce of popcorn chicken is excellent, the taco was salty, the lamp chops was the worst. I will come back for the beautiful decoration and service.
The service was good. The ambiance was amazing. The dish I ordered was not worth the value. Don't get me wrong. It was delicious. But $12 dollars for some AnQi's special garlic noodles... totally not worth it. And the presentation was horrible. This photo is how it arrived in front of me. I take pictures of my food right when it gets set down like all instagrammers do. Maybe the green onions fell over when plating or when it was set down. Don't get me wrong. It was good. But for some special garlic noodles for $12? Totally not worth it to me. Stay away from this dish. I'm sure they have other ones that are better.
Purchased a pickup meal at 1:00 pm. Parking was very crowded because they now have valet in half the lot -- not great. Great pick up for garlic noodles and shrimp and caesar salad. Would have liked to know what the vegetable dish was -- not a fan of the carrots. Would be nice to know what the veggies are. Also asked the person at the desk if they still had the scewers and he said "yes" but they are not on the menu. Like the chicken scewers and have ordered them to go but not on the menu now.
Beautiful restaurant. We had problem with our server even though we had reservations we waited for 45 minutes to order appetizers and get water( at last with manager’s help).Quality of appetizers and dessert are 10 out of 10 but the food is 6 out of 10. This fancy Asian restaurant is a good place to celebrate your events. The table side ice cream is amazing and delicious dessert with the best presentation ever🥰. Flavio is one of the servers who is super nice and friendly.
Everything was great! We ordered takeout. It was ready quickly and all delicious. We really enjoyed the garlic noodles.
I love Asian fusion, so my partner made a reservation at Anqi to try it out. The food was overall good, with some small misses. They also gave an ice cream scoop and a candle for my birthday. Note: They do charge an extra 3% on the bill that go to kitchen staff. The service was nice and friendly. Though, the initial reception was a bit weird. When we walked in, dressed all nice (majority of the customers were very casual), the host asked, "How can I help you?" with a questioning tone of voice instead of a smile and being welcoming. It was as if he was wondering why we are here. Maybe he was just having a bad day. * Award-Winning Tombo Tuna Tacos 5/5 - This wouldn't be my usual go-to, but I really enjoyed it. The tuna was mildly spicy, packed inside a hard taco shell that tasted like a big Doritos chip. The yuzu kosho condiment was good and the caviar added a nice texture on top. * Shrimp & Lobster Dumplings 3/5 - Tasted underwhelming. The sauce was mild, didn't taste like much. The shrimp and lobster were grounded and mixed together, so you can't taste the actual meat. It was reminiscent of a dim sum shrimp ball. * AnQi Signature Prime Ribeye + Vietnamese Black Pepper Sauce 5/5 - The ribeye came out sizzling on a salt block where you can let it cook to your desired doneness. The ribeye paired amazingly well with the complex-tasting pepper sauce. Definitely the highlight of our dinner. * Grilled Prawns 5/5 with Garlic Noodles 3/5 - The garlic noodles were garlicky and buttery. However, the noodles themselves weren't good, kinda limp and overcooked, not chewy. The prawns were really good. * Lychee Cloud Mocktail 5/5 - Delicious. It tasted like a sweet tropical dessert. Similar to a Pina colada but with a more creamy coconut flavor.
If you're in for Asian fusion dishes, this is a great spot for you. Awesome presentation on each dishes. Have to try all their specialties. Reservation is highly recommend on weekends. The lounge chairs for some of the tables is a great touch but it's the most uncomfortable chair.
My go to lunch spot during my university day. Their An’s famous garlic noodle, although look bland and ordinary, I can promise you that it taste heavenly. Some other dishes that I like includes the sashimi appetizer with Truffle. The Peking Chicken rice is also pretty good. The rice has a very nice aroma to it, the chicken skin is also very crispy.
The reason I gave it 3 stars was mainly due to the price versus what you get. Overall the food was just okay. Felt like it lacked a bit of flavor. The Filet Mignon Chow Fun was very dry and the Kimchi fried rice didn't really taste like kimchi at all. I think the curry may have been the best dish and the fish again lacked a bit of flavor. I think Gem tasted much much better if you want really good Asian Fusion. The service itself was great and the restaurant had a great atmosphere. You can come for the experience, but I think you may be underwhelmed by the food.
This is my second time at AnQi, and I honestly can say I am not impressed with their food. Service is impeccable and ambiance is top notched. However, I wouldn’t recommend the food. Both dishes I got was okay, nothing extraordinary that can’t be purchased at smaller Asian restaurant. Food presentation is sub par, for something they charged 20$ or more. You can get the same exact dish at places like Jumpa Thai for half the price, and twice as good. The chow fun noodle dish is by far the worse dish of it’s kind. This dish typically comes with Chinese broccoli. And lots more beef . They were skimping on the beef as well!!!
Anniversary dinner at AnQi. Ambience. Nice and quiet, not busy. Beautiful decorations. Staff members were friendly and very attentive. Alcohol: meh. Did not measure up to the standards of other establishments at South Coast. Food: signature dishes were amazing. I would pay for someone to teach me how to cook this stuff. The more “common” dishes were not amazing. When you have *really* good dishes, the others do not match up.
Took a while till we get our simple noodle orders. My wife food " Ginger prawn rice noodle" arrived first and it was tasteless. My garlic noodle and chicken was below average for the price! Both foods arrived almost cold. Our first attempt and I was not impressed at all. we usually give some places a second chance. Let see how they do next time.
We came here to celebrate New Year’s Eve and a 25th Wedding Anniversary. The Prix-Fixe Menu was priced at $135pp. For the price, it is a bit high for the food quality. The food was great, but pricey. The lamb chops and the shaken beef were great. The garlic noodles were good, but a bit underwhelming considering it is its own course. It was served without garnish or plating that compares to the other courses. The service was okay. Our server, Bella, was attentive and kind. Nothing particularly outstanding. Given the ambiance and the price point, it would’ve been nice for the food to be explained and that each course was given its time. Organization could’ve been much better. The meal felt fast paced with food coming sometimes while the previous course is being cleared. With fine dining, we expected for each course to have a short pause and to be properly cleared before the next course is served. At the 1st course, only 4/5 dishes came out at the same time and it left everyone waiting. Dishes can be explained and properly set down on the table, it felt a bit rushed and haphazard. Overall, the food was good but underwhelming for the price point. Service was acceptable but could’ve been refined and polished. Overall, 3.75 or 4/5.
It started out that when our server got offended that I said No thank you to accept his offer to make dish recommendations since I already knew what we wanted. He asked if we were celebrating anything and I let him know my Bday. He never topped any water once which was empty and he never brought out a dessert. He seemed very disengaged. Food was good, but disappointing service.
A simple two item too go order and I was so disappointed with it when I got home. The portion of garlic noodles they gave me at full price wasn't enough for a child! I called and asked if they had a kids menu and maybe they made a mistake? The food was still good though, Eggplant was great, portion size is "okay"...
I’m so sad to put this review. I will say, the food was 5 star worthy-there is no question there. I’ve been once before for my birthday dinner and I went to the express part for lunch a few weeks ago. Tonight my husband and I were very excited to come spend our anniversary at AnQi. I have been hyping it up to him since last April when my dad brought me for my birthday. Unfortunately, our server was a huge downer. He made us feel like we didn’t deserve to be there and like we were a nuisance. He wasn’t outwardly rude (which is why I gave him 2 stars instead of one), but his overall demeanor was very snobby. It felt like he did the bare minimum. But it really took some magic away from our special night. We just decided we’ll have to redo our anniversary. AnQi isn’t cheap, which is fine but I do expect a better experience for the price. Hopefully it’ll be better when we come back someday because again, the food is so freaking good.
I had really had high expectations for this place since it was recommended to me and saw the reviews on google. I came for lunch and had the fish tacos(7/10), Calamari(8/10), shaken beef(7/10). I wasn’t satisfied with what I ordered and still had high expectations and I looked up more reviews while at the restaurant and decided on the King crab without knowing the price since it said marketp price. I thought it was not good at all, super greasy with no flavor. I kinda wanted to throw up actually. I didn’t even finish half of it and got the bill. When I got the bill it was $95 just for the Crab! I laughed in amusement. But other than the food, the environment was nice and relaxing and the service was great.
Horrible experience! Waited 2 hours for some steak. Not allergy friendly! Made me blue steak when I asked for Medium!! Manager very rude. Will never be back again. Managed seems high as heck and slow at understanding. Then waited 30 minutes for them to recook my steak and hand it to me rudely. Will never be back again!! Horrible service.
The one winning thing is this place had a nice atmosphere, came here for vday and staff was unaware of items that were 86ed, drinks were made wrong, we were moved from a lovely ambience seating to the backwall. The waiter was entirely unaware of menu items that were unavailable, and each time he came back he asked me to replace my choice three times each time it was another 20 min wait. They brought items at weird times. Honestly worst experience. Why do you have a reservation system if your going to allow walk ins and items to run out? Do not come here its over hyped from Instagram
I really wanted to enjoy my dinner at AnQi, especially given the price point, but the experience fell short in a few important ways. I ordered the lobster, and unfortunately it was overcooked and extremely tough. The claws were fine, but the tail portion was almost inedible — not what you expect from a dish at this level. The noodles that came with it were actually great, but they couldn’t make up for the main item being so poorly executed. My lady friend ordered a rum and Coke, and the drink tasted off right away. When I asked the waiter what rum they used, he said Captain Morgan, which I normally enjoy. After digging a little deeper, he mentioned they used Pepsi instead of Coke. If a customer asks for a Coke, you shouldn’t substitute Pepsi without saying anything. It completely changed the taste of the drink. After spending over $200 on dinner, the experience should have been close to perfect. Sadly, it wasn’t. I’m not sure if I’ll be coming back, but I do hope someone in management sees this and takes it seriously.
Oops!…We Tried It Again. What happened to this once great restaurant? After being disappointed the last several times we were here, my Wife and I decided to take a break for a while. We decided to give it one last try. It’s hard to believe the food is even worst than before. If you plan on ordering the WAGYU DRUNKEN NOODLES, be prepared to be disappointed. If you’re wondering where the Wagyu Beef is, it’s the ground up looking substance mixed in with the rest of the dish. They call it “diced Wagyu” , but if it were diced , the Wagyu would remain in cubes or chunks of meat, allowing you to experience its superior quality. How they serve it is more like mush. We also ordered the GRILLED OCTOPUS AND PAPAYA SALAD. The Octopus should have come out grilled and nicely charred, however what we were served was not and was soggy from being unfrozen with a light coat of uncooked batter. My wife also ordered the HEAVENLY PEAR MARTINI. We used to really enjoy this drink. Unfortunately, they eliminated all of the good ingredients needed to make this the way they used to. Now it just tastes like a bitter, tart lemon drop. Good by pear. We do not recognize this restaurant anymore and we won’t be coming back again any time soon.
It was a special occasion, celebrating Valentines with my daughter and granddaughter. It was a very disappointing dinner.. I was looking forward to try the crab on the menu but it was terrible, it was drowning with garlic butter. We also ordered the roasted chicken I took a bite and blood was on the bone, it was under cooked. Customer service and cocktails were the best part of the dinner. It was very embarrassing to my my guest for not enjoying the evening.
