Pretty good del Taco I rolled in here a couple weeks ago on tour was playing a gig down the street with some friends and needed a quick bite and knew that del Taco never lets me down. Some are cleaner than others.

I haven't been to this particular location in years, but it was pretty decent, and on par with other locations. I tried the new crispy Ranch chicken tacos here, and they were quite good. These are only a buck a piece right now so it's a good deal. I think I'll be ordering these more often when I visit Del Taco. I'm giving this experience five stars, because they were very fast on service at this visit, unlike many locations that seem to keep you waiting while they service the drive-thru and mostly ignore the walk-in customers. So this location gets a big thumbs up for counter service!

Previously had trouble understanding person in drive thu. Been back a few times and I've not had any difficulty understanding employees. Things have been clear and precise. O.g post below Could not understand person in drive thru due to accent. Did not have anyone else who could help me so I left

I can't complain but I will tell you, the iced coffee is lame. It's a 4/10, tolerable, but nothing to it. The Bell has some dank cinnabon coffee. Up the road at Lee's sandwiches, unbelievably good iced mochas. You can do better Del Taco. Also I didn't see that tasty strawberry drink you had on the menu. I don't know if it was hiding or what.

The girl at the drive-thru today, I think her name is Jennifer? She’s awesome. My mom had the MOST annoying order of something that wasn’t even on the menu, and Jennifer figured out how to make it work in the computer while still charging us a reasonable price. She was patient with us, and nice, and even though working fast food isn’t glamorous, she served us with a smile and was pleasant and gracious. Management, please take notice of this employee. She ROCKS! 👏🏽 👏🏽 👏🏽

Man, I love this place. I get the Epic burritos from this Del Taco location at least once a week and consider myself an “addict” of these burritos. The food is always fresh and hot when I come pick it up. The employees know me by name and always show good customer service skills. There is always ample parking. I will be coming here again soon.

We don’t have these where I live in Tennessee now but I used to go when I lived in Dallas. Del Taco is a great lunch spot or late night spot. The menu is large and the food is delicious in all the good and bad ways you’d expect.

You can't use the bathroom here because unhoused people are sleeping on the toilet and the employees don't care.

Love Del Taco. Chicken Soft Tacos are always great & they're like pizza in the way that I'll eat them cold for breakfast the next morning. And surprisingly, the bacon double del cheeseburgers are awesome.

They have these amazing new things called 'French toast fries' and they are so damn delicious! Will I be getting them again? Uhmmmmmmm MOST DEFINITELY!

Food was made perfect and the service fast but they forgot one of my burritos from my to go order at the drive thru and I didn't realize it until I got home :(

Considering there was a line of cars around the building, the line moved quickly & when ordering, the employee on the radio asked, "What fresh food may I get you today?" The food was very fresh and I enjoyed it tremendously!

Location may have just been slammed, but they took forever to finally take my order. Food was fine. Plenty of parking. Parking, entrance, seating, and counter were all accessible.

Had the crispy chicken tacos, they were delicious and cheap. Also had their mini milkshakes (strawberry) that was also really good and affordable. Highly recommended. The one thing I don't like is having to ask the cashier to unlock the bathroom each time I visit this location

Came here for taco Tuesday. 1 regular hardshell taco is 0.29 cents each on Tuesdays. If you want cheap. Ok food come here. Don't worry, Kaiser Permanente is next door in case you want to treat your heartburn. This is also right next to Carl's Jr. BTW, when I went I originally wanted to order a del cheeseburger but I guess this location sold out of burgers.

Fries were cold like they had been sitting out. I saw another client hand back a quesadilla for the same reason. Double check your food just to be sure. The BRC I got were perfect tho.

I give 2 stars only because the prices, other than that 1 star. This Del Taco has been around for decades. Yes, decades. And once you walk in, it looks decades old. Being Del Tacos are franchised, I can picture the franchisee is the equivalent of a franchise slumlord. The interior looks and feels dirty. I have zero doubt Del Taco Corp would have shut this location down if it werent for the location, MacArthur & Harbor.

I honestly wasn't able to get anything. I'm sure with everything going on, they may be understaffed, but I waited in the drive thru for 15 minutes and was #3 in line. That entire time, we did not move at all, so luckily since no one wad behind me, I reversed and left.

Ton of makeup girl who Is horrible in the drive thru. Bad attitude, and very unpleasant to communicate with. Food is room temperature. Yikes!

This is my least liked Del taco. It's always messy and smells bad inside. Service is not great behind the counter and it always has flies next to the soda machine. If you can try to avoid this location.

Are Del taco in Costa mesa could be a lot better, like off the 15 interstate towards Vegas are Awesome, everthing is bigger and better tasting, freshly made fries always crisp, burrito and burgers are hot, and texture seem perfect....those Delta could for fast food get 4 and half, out of 5

Make sure you check your order. Twice the food was cold and wasn't even what I paid for. Caught it before I went to far and took it right back. Had to wait 11 minutes for them 2 cook it. Obviously they just throw anything in the bag 2 move customers along the drive thru.

Doors were not open. Girl behind the counter said she did not have the keys to open door. A customer inside opened the door. She said only 2 people there. She took my order I waited 30 minutes for order while she was raking care of the drive up people first. Did not do a rotation. One inside order, then drive up when short of staff. Where were the managers to help,? Allot more to say no time

At night, the shakes are never available one women named Amolia who claimed she was the assistant manager said homeless people were not allowed to use the restroom because--- no reason was given I've seen them deny a handicaped women the use of the restroom which is against the law because she was homeless. they don't serve hamburgers after 8:00pm because "we have to clean the grill" How long does it take to clean a grill. This new early night crew is not nice and not very helpful or professional with the exception of one long time employee who seems to be going along with this because she needs her job

For fast food, Del Taco is usually decent, but this particular location on this particular night was very, very slow. In fact, we saw a couple cars leave the drive-thru because it was taking so long. Not only that, the tortillas were super rubbery/chewy & stuck to your teeth. 😬

I don't know what it is about this one location, but no matter how often I come they can never ever get my order right. Bacon breakfast taco, hard shell, one slice of avocado. That's all. But no, we can never have all of those components. They either forget the avocado, hard shell, cheese, or BACON. COME ON!!!! I try to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they manage to let me down time and time again.

Terrible customer service. Took 20 min to tell me they couldn't make what I ordered. Tried to use the restroom and was told by 2 different employees that they were unlocked, only to stand there for a while and go back in bc they weren't. Same thing happened to my friend who was there. None of the employees seemed like they knew what they were doing, including the manager. Food was good though, bc hey, it's the del taco franchise.

Drive thru was slooow. Double chicken on my burrito was a joke. I only saw about 5 pieces of chicken. If they are trying to skimp because of the cost of goods it will backfire. People notice. I will try them again but one more chance is all I will give them. There is too much competition out there.

Unprofessional..manager touched was register and other dirty surfaces wearing gloves and wore while preparing food...fries were burnt and attitude in general sucked..I tell myself to bypass this Del Taco but it's convinent and the place was dirty as the "workers" played around

My wife and I came here after a show at The Constellation Room at The Observatory last night. We went to the drive thru and ordered 3 soft tacos, no lettuce, 2 snack tacos, a burrito, and a side of small fries. Unfortunately, it wasn't until we got back home that the fries were missing from our bag!!! My wife was sorely disappointed to say the least. The food was alright, but as cheap and convenient as it was, we were disappointed that the fries were missing.

My snack was a chicken Quesa taco. It had burned black bits on the outside. Inside tables were dirty, had to ask for them to be washed

They won’t let you use your Ebt in the drivethru once lobby is closed. Most places will take your pin and do it for you, so that sucked

Took so long to get our food. Had us pull up when we paid for our food at the window, 10 mins went by with no food brought out to us. Lobby was closed so we had trouble even getting anyone’s attention.

Go here every morning before work I love del taco don't get me wrong but this one as of late has been terrible they have messed up several of my orders and today I just got completely cold food ......probaby won't go back

This place is the absolute worst . I love del taco don’t get this wrong .. but this place over cooked the meat and literally forgot to put the lettuce and cheese on my tacos .. I ordered 5 ans all five were messed up .. I literally thought I was being punkd. I couldn’t believe it .. and they took forever in the drive thru . I spent 20 bucks on my meal for nothing .. worst place ever doesn’t even deserve 1 star ..

Got food with my girlfriend from here. She found a dirty fingernail buried in the last bits of her nachos. I wouldn't trust how clean or sanitary the store is. I'd look at the public health inspection records if you're gonna eat here. I'll be looking that up right now. I don't understand how a full on clipped, dirty fingernail ends up in the food.

They got my order of TWO ITEMS wrong. Gave my the wrong sized coffee and still asked me if I wanted the size I asked because they had a long line of cars waiting... I said YES! That's what I ordered!! They have a short, Hitler looking manager too that was useless.

Mobile ordered and paid for two beyond guac tacos, lobby closed, long wait at drive thru, employee tells me no beyond meat left, I ask to sub fish (similar price), she refuses and says I have to change it in the app (can't be done), refuses to help, finally agrees to sub only ground beef (a ripoff), refuses to tell me her managers name, wears no name tag and shuts the window on me when I was polite thoughout. AVOID.

They make you buy something BEFORE you use the restroom not after. Just needed to use the bathroom and I WAS a customer, key word “WAS”. Absolutely ridiculous I’m a tour bus driver who drove to the nearby venue and was treated like this. These policies in place only because *gasp* a homeless person might TRY and use the bathroom, completely ridiculous policy avoid this location, if they wanna lose money by turning away customers that’s on them.

This place sucks. I got a fake $20 dollars bill from this store. They should be more careful about this practice because one day they gonna be in trouble. Thats stealing and an illegal activity. Im sending a letter to corporation so they can know what kind of criminals delinquents are running this store. Shame on them.

The employee refused to give me my receipt, her name and employee ID, after finding a fly, a thick black hair and something that looked like a noodle in my food.... yes, a noodle. The employee claimed to have called the police and no one ever showed.... so now I'm here and all social media outlets trying to get an explanation to this unfortunate event.

Ordered the wet chicken burrito plate. Went to pick it up from the counter and saw a long curly hair on top of my burritto. Told the cashier and he apologized and oredered my another one. I saw exactly the person whos hair it was and knew exactly what she needed to resolve her hair falling issue. Her hair was tied back properly but her hanging neck hair was discusting. Didnt enjoy my food after. Cashier apologized again and offered my fries. No thanks buddy.

The dining room is never open at night and the food portions are always small on taco Tuesday there's hardly any meat or cheese it's all lettuce and shell and bad service the girl behind the counter was rude and argued with me, wanted to wash my hands after working all day before I ate she told me the bathrooms were out of order when clearly they were not as I had seen other patrons use them a big disappointment, other del tacos are not like this none of the other employees were smiling and it was not a good experience won't be back

Worst customer service ive had at a del taco. They completely ignore the customers inside and just take drive thru orders 1 after the other while i was standing there for several minutes without them even acknowledging me or saying hi. And its not like they didnt see me. And the 1 time I did get food in the past, it was nowhere near as good as any other del taco ive ever been to.

Definitely the worst del taco I've ever been to. It's a shame cuz I really like del taco. Thought maybe the first time or two was just an off night. Fries cold, hard random pieces of rice, and always. . . ALWAYS wrong order. After the last time I just go to another location

If I could give less stars I would. Horrible food, horrible service,and horribly long wait times, probably due to horrible management. Always poorly staffed and the workers clearly hate their jobs. This is the closest Del Taco to my house and I will always go out of my way to drive to a different del taco because of how poorly this one is run. 3 strikes and you're out. Corporate really needs to take a look at this place.

I walk in and I don't have my app open, so I stop at a table to bring it up. There are two girls laughing and talking at the register. It takes me about 3 minutes to pull up my coupon. When I get it, I walk up to one of the girls and she says, "Oh, my register is not ready," so she runs to the back --- I have to wait. Finally, after about two minutes standing there, the drive-thru guy comes to take my order. I tell him two Taco burgers with onions and chopped tomatoes! Not sliced tomatoes. Guess what he said? "All we have is sliced tomatoes." Right before I get ready to belittle him, he says, "Oh yeah, chopped tomatoes." But it didn't stop there! I show him my coupon app and he says, "Oh,I can't do that." So I tell him, I'll wait on the girl. After two more minutes of her not getting her register draw squared away --- I just left. I counted five employees and no one inside eating. Good luck stopping here! I wish I didn't!🤬

The worst experience I've had recently. Having their friends pull up to the window to talk to them for about 10 minutes. And when we finally pull up the girl at the window was just smirking and giving a stink eye. Didn't even open the window to give us an update on our order or anything. I remember why I gave up with this del taco. Came back 3/16/18 6-7 months since that last time I came. They don’t care for their job. They don’t listen and service is very poor. The soda machine don’t even bother it doesn’t work right. The food poorly served and bad taste.

Was hungry & drove by this Del Taco location & was craving for a cheese quesadilla. So I Just ordered a cheese quesadilla & it’s a Worse cheese quesadilla I have ever had.. it seems like no cheese in it, so so so thin cheese layer, no cheese taste. Somehow I tasted the OLD oil from the tortilla. Was able to eat a little in the middle then trash. Asked for hot sauce and she did not give any. Wait for so long to get it even it’s not busy at this afternoon hours. Waste of money $4.36… Never come back and try again

I come here every other week and they always mess up our order. The last time i went there they gave my vegan friend real beef instead of the beyond meat. And they charged us for the 4 piece cheesecake bites and only gave us 2. So we went back to get this fixed (within a five minute span) and the lady didnt want to give us our other bites because she didnt give us a receipt! Dont come here. Its not worth the 15 minute wait, just for an incorrect version of your order.

I've been a Loyal customer of This Company for years, Never, I repeat, Never have I experienced such outlandish misuses of Position. You've oversalted our Food on 1 occasion, Made up some factious reasons for your not accepting varying methods of Payment. We went around the corner, and used the same Card with another Restaurant, it cleared. So, in the Future, just Treat your Customers accordingly. No toxic treatment, no talking $hit on your Customers in Spanish, as They wait for Their food, and definitely, Don't play with Our Food. I was on line for 10 minutes and nobody took my order when I went to the window to place my order the manager from the store a latin guy who was wearing the headphones he just said that I need to make a line again because he has a lot cars behind me it was only two cars..I do not recomend this restaurant at all..Poor customer service

Waited about five minutes at the box after they said "one second" before they finally took my order, took at least half an hour sitting behind ONE car and a pair of girls on foot they were illegally serving out the window, didn't apologize for the awful service and wait, and didn't even give me napkins with my two item order. The girls working here at 12:30am 7/8/17 shouldn't have been given jobs, they clearly don't know what they're doing.

Came for a quick meal for my daughter and i we both get the same items every night when we come to this Del Taco but tonight went through the drive thru about 1am and i ordered the same thing id ordered the night before which always costs me 4.36 or 4.78 i think dont have my receipt from the night before. Tonight i ordered the same meals and the cashier didnt let me know anything about the cost of adding extra onions to my burritos all 4 extra,green sauce and onions she didnt tell me anything about it when id got to the window a few mins,later she came to it and tells me that,my total is $6.75 for my food it wasnt that,much lastnight and oh she says they now charge for extra onions yet she never told me when i ordered my food. I also askedfor my receipt and she tells me that the register reset itself and she cant give me one. This i found very strange and didnt seem right at all plus when id gave her my money to pay for my food she'd walked over to the person making my food and was there for a minute or two then went to the register in drive thru to make change for my order and gave me back 13.25 outta 20.00 it makes no sense whats going on at this location i feel lime ive been stolenfrom and lied to so she can pocket the difference for herself and i got cheated outta my money about 2.00 i wonder if shes stealing from everyone else who goes thru drive thru?? Im not pleased with tonight's meal it was expensive i usually spend about 5.00 for my food not 6.75 i get the same meal alot so this i knew wasnt right. Dont know if i can trust going there any more. I couldnt get my receipt cause the register just reset itself wow that's a new one in the middle of orders ??? Someones doing something bad there i just know she was lying to me. Management betterdo something about this why didn't she tell me when i ordered my food they were now charging for onions and the cost of the extra was in cents?? She didnt tell me anything until it was already too late to do anything about it. Im very displeased and contemplating informing there corporate office about this!!

Stopped here to use the restroom & grab a bite to eat. The hours posted in the window said dining room open till 11pm. It was 10:40pm, the door was locked, & when the overweight female employee saw me at the door she quickly hid out of sight. Will never attempt to go here again.

The hours posted state open 24 hours. I pulled up at 8am. No on responded at first in the drive thru. Then, after a min, an employee informed me on the drive thru speaker that they weren't ready yet. They were setting up. I asked how long they might need to setup because I didn't mind waiting an extra couple of mins. He said he wasn't sure when they would open, it might be 30 mins. I'm not sure what they were doing but I've never heard that from a 24 hour drive thru. I'm sorry but that was irritating, and the employees apathetic attitude left an impression of unprofessionalism...they lost my business.

Del Taco it's not Taco Bell that's a plus, This location officially lost me as a customer had to get a refund because they didn't want to give me the hot sauce needed to make their food taste good no they only offer two hot sauce per item which is BS so I demanded a refund and I will never return to this location. To the manager do you know how to run a business? Because with policies like this you should be fired. Just an FYI I will be contacting corporate. Just now the drive thru woman made me wait 15mins until another car pulled into drive thru before serving my order that was sitting and waiting. The salsa was all brown and rotten from the heat. The women said that she took so long because she couldn't read.

Dude, Del Taco is a little pricey for me to always get my fries made incorrectly. The last two times I went my fries were not even cooked all the way and definitely well-done… how I always order them. It seems it’s always like that when a specific person is working or something. :/

Want to Del taco on a Sunday 2/10/25.We could not understand the person taking our order in drive thru. When we asked her to repeat, she said the wrong thing and started to get mad at us. We were trying to get an order of food that came with a drink and a separate drink, but that did not happen. They also asked us how many scorcher sauces we wanted my husband said “2”.I have attached a picture of the 18 scorcher sauces they gave us and five ketchup we never asked for. I just feel as though it is so wasteful to do that and as the owner I would not be happy that someone’s giving away money in the form of sauce. Please put employees on drive thru that can communicate with customers without being mad at them and get order correct. Thanks.

If I could give a zero, I would. I'm not one to bash on fast food because I'm not expecting anything special. I ordered 2 chicken ranch rollers for lunch, and I got to work to find out they had given me 2 Chipotle rollers. I call to get them fixed and I go back and once again I'm back at work I go to eat my roller and once again I was given 2 Chipotle rollers, so I went again for a 3rd time my lunch was over by then and again they were wrong so I threw them out and didn't have lunch. Today, again, I ordered ranch rollers only to find out they were Chipotle rollers again. Don't recommend this place unless you are looking to waste time and money. Yet they want to get paid $20 an hour for this? What a joke.

This one is always the worst the girl with all of the makeup and eyelashes is not kind she has a bad attitude and just is cold. I told her manager about it like 2 years ago when i was eating here before my Drs appointment. Honestly if this place wasn't next to a doctor's office it wouldn't get any business the food is always cold and small proportion they don't even put a full scoop of chicken on your burritos or anything. There was a really nice woman working here she was so kind and honestly I think they fired her because she was white and kept calling out the girl with the makeup who has an attitude. The manager over the girl with the makeup is a male and I'm pretty sure he's not firing her because he has a hot for her or maybe they're sleeping together. All I have to say is the Dynamics of this del Taco have been off for a long time and I thought by now they would have hired new employees but instead they just got rid of the ones who were good. Oh and the amount of chicken and cheese and stuff in my roller was so small. I had to take all the tortilla off and just eat it like a small taco or else I just would have been eating tortilla. Unfortunately myself I don't have time to go back inside because I'm on my way to work in school.

Cold bean and cheese cup. Poor service. Don't know how to sprinkle cheese evenly throughout quesadilla. Was nice to sit in air conditioning for a moment. Was not nice having to pay for ranch when I ordered poppers. If I could give this no stars I would this completely seperate occasion they say they are open 24-7but won't answer the phone. I was going to walk there if they are willing to take walk ups but I will never know. I have called five times.
