I've been here a good handful of times, it was one of the first recommendations I got moving to the area, and every time I leave with my to go, I do it in a good mood. They're always great, and it always makes my night when I get home and enjoy it. Also, I've cooked for a living for a long time, and think these guys deserve their props, if that matters. But in general, I've always been really pleased with my decision to go there.

I’m new to the area and work just down the street. I googled Chinese food near me and this was the first place to pop up. Drove over and tried it and throughly enjoyed my food! The Food is great, especially their teriyaki chicken and broccoli beef! Price is decent…not too expensive. Portions are huge! Will definitely be back for more.

Been going to this spot since I was a kid. Memories. Still a great place to stop by to eat with family. Love that they have a drive thru. Only thing is the food has gotten super expensive.

My first time here, I came by to pick up my favorite old-fashion glaze. Around 9 AM, there was no line and not much selection, but they had the old fashions. The price was lower than I expected, and the flavor was great.

Great greasy spoon chinese food. Nice ambience. I would suggest the thai ice tea to drink. The donuts looked appetizing, although i did not try them. Highly recommend!

I remember going to this place when I was in highschool about 14 years ago and still to this day... does not disappoint. The ladies are super friendly and they hook you up! This is just a fast food Chinese food/donut chain. The bbq chicken is bomb!

If you want good Chinese and a lot of it, you need to try these place. The ladies are super nice, and everything is delicious, definitely a secret of Santa Ana.

While the surrounding area isn't that much better, at first glance this location looks rundown. Also even with the large lot sign indicating Chinese food and Donut Star, there is no signage on the building itself so some may be confused as to which establishment is actually there. Fear not, if you are adventurous, this is a hybrid restaurant with both within it. While the Chinese food is palatable, the limited smaller selection of doughnuts (compared to individual full sized Donut Star locations) is consistent in what you may expect from doughnuts. Go ahead order both, make yourself a doughnut and Chinese food sandwich.

Food is mediocre to good and I find the price points to be good. Staff sometimes cannot hear so be prepared to speak up. Service is not fast but is fine for stopping for a w Quick lunch.

I came here for nearly a decade - I don't know if they replaced any chefs but their food just doesn't taste the same anymore. The chow mein's got an odd texture, the rice used to be superb but now it comes off under or overcooked, and the meat... tastes like beyond vegan meat. Yeah, chinese food is only a value if you can finish it. I think it's a pity, but I will not be returning to eat here.

The Thai tea I ordered, they placed rotten milk in it. Perhaps not intentionally, but definitely not fresh. Rather than placing creamer on my drink like how the drink is supposed to be made. She placed cow milk instead. The Asian American lady who works here also tried to change the price of the drink to a higher price, but I told her what the menu said. The doughnuts do not look fresh like other places.
