Absolutely Loved Kempe Wine Bar! 🍷✨ What a gem in Santa Barbara! From the moment you walk in, the cozy vibe grabs you—especially those stylish and super comfy teal chairs inside. The outdoor seating is just as inviting with perfectly placed heating that keeps you warm even on cooler nights. The staff? Incredible—so friendly and knowledgeable, they make you feel like a regular even if it's your first time. And how could I forget Lulu, the sweet resident pup who adds an extra dose of charm to the experience! 🐶 The wine selection is top-notch. Don’t leave without asking for their recommendations—they truly know their stuff, and every pour is a winner. Trust me, it's a can't-miss. Already planning my next visit. Love this place!

First things first! can we all say hello to the real celebrity here, the adorable foggy pup Lulu! 🐶 She’s the star of the show and totally stole our hearts. Now let’s take a moment to admire those stunning teal chairs not only are they beautiful, but they’re also incredibly comfortable. The decor throughout the winery is thoughtfully done, blending charm with style in the most inviting way. The atmosphere here is relaxed, elegant, and perfect for sipping and savoring. And the customer service? Absolutely top notch. Friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely welcoming, everything you want from a great winery experience. Highly recommend stopping by. 1 million stars! The tasting room in Santa Barbara is always such a great experience. I've gone there for date night and group outings and the energy is always perfect. Every wine I've had has been delicious so when it came time for me to host a private event, I knew exactly where I was getting the wine from. I ordered a few white and rose bottles and after about an hour it was obvious that guests were loving the wine ;) Plus, the bottles were beautiful on display.

As the other reviewers mentioned, the location is absolutely ideal. My husband and I were lucky enough to be told about these amazing wines while in Los Olivos and were so excited to hear they were opening a tasting room in SB. The wine offerings range from amazing Rose's' to beautiful soft whites to big full red wines, featuring Syrah's, Petite Syrah's, Cab Franc's and a number of blends. Their story is only second to their impressive wines, these are everyday normal folks that have build this business on hard work and a love for wine and people. Please do not pass up this awesome place. Paolo, Erin & Massimo....thank you for your hard work and a place where we always feel welcome.

We happily discovered this intimate little tasting room while exploring uptown Santa Barbara and roaming through La Arcada Plaza. We were greeted by host and winemaker Massimo, who did a wonderful job of introducing us to full line of Barbieri & Kempe wines, and also telling us the story behind both winemakers Paolo Barbieri and Erin Kempe. Hard to decide which was our favorite, but we thoroughly enjoyed their Rose wines, both red and white blends, as well as some of their single vineyard selections. And to top it off they have a delicious selection of cheeses, bread, jams, and crackers to pair with the wines. We'll definitely be back, and will bring our friends.

This is our favourite place amongst a lot of choice in wineries in SB, and we really have tried a lot. There are always fun people to chat with and the staff know exactly how to engage or to leave you alone if you just want to consider your day with someone special. But the WINES!! Astonishing in satisfaction. I’ve tried many different of their wines here and never had a bad sip. 100% recommended.

Really great little winery. Their main tasting room is the the cute little town of Los Olivos. If you are up that way definitely check them out as well. This new location has a great little courtyard patio, a very relaxed but modern feel, and a great staff. Mossimo (part of the winemaking team and son of the Master Sommelier who is the head winemaker) is often there and he is charming and a joy to hang out with.

We first met Paolo on a wine tour last year. He spent a lot of time talking to us about the different wines and his experience in the wine industry. We learned he actually was the Master Sommelier at one of our favorite restaurants in Las Vegas. That day we visited three other wineries, but only signed for the Barbieri & Kempe wine club and it was because you could tell how Paolo really cares about creating great wines. We have been in the wine club for a little over a year now and Erin has always been great about returning emails and making sure everything is always good to go before shipping.

We visited the tasting room after visiting los olivos. Beautiful location “up the hill“ but walkable. a family member was wine steward - friendly and knowledgeable (and generous) with a personal touch! Highly recommend.

Love the large selection of wines. So many rosés to choose from a beautiful selection. I like ld the unique blends etc from both Kempe &Barbieri. The location is so cozy yet open also! And Tammy was a great server, friendly and she knows her wines and alot about the company.
