Check out Wed night line dancing with Skip. Fun nice friendly atmosphere even for those not passionate about country music. Good food. Reasonable prices. I notice they probably have child-friendly daytimes since there's a table with toy blocks.
Had 2 hrs. before having to head to Santa Barbara airport. Checked at 2 different restaurants at Santa Barbara Dock 1 1/2hr. wait at each restaurant. No wait at Creekside. Chicken strips were spicy, Half chicken was perfectly seasoned and French fries had excellent seasoning. I highly recommend this restaurant.
Best experience! The food was amazing (Salmon so fresh and grilled perfectly) and the service above and beyond. My son and I ate there on the way back from college visit and it was a magical experience. Highly recommend👍. Will be back on those college visits!
This is a restaurant on Hollister Ave in Santa Barbara. My High School class is planning our reunion this year and we'll be having our class dinner at this location. Very casual atmosphere restaurant. Large bar area, and bar stool seating with TV's to watch sports on. Plenty of other table seating inside and 2 larger outdoor patio areas. We dined on burgers, fries, salads and a few appetizers. All very well made and served in a short amount of time. It was a bit chilly this particular evening, but they had plenty of patio heaters going so it was comfortable to sit out even with the lower temperatures. They offer full bar service, wine and beer selections. The menu has steak, chicken, BBQ and seafood items. Fresh salads and a nice array of appetizers i.e. quesadillas, wings, nachos etc. Meat can be added to any of the salad or appetizers as needed. Will definitely will go back to have another meal and look forward to our class reunion get together at this location.
Love this place! Food is creative spin on classic pub food and it tastes fantastic! Chimichuri fries were awesome. Came for lunch. Lots of pattio seating and they have a lower pattio with oversized connect 4, ping pong, corn hole, blocks and kids tables. Perfect for large groups and kids. They had strings of lights up so it looks like it would be beautiful at night.
Our firm held our Staff Holiday Party at the Creekside. Despite the wintry weather and the outside venue, we were warm and sheltered. The area was set up perfectly; the food was excellent and the staff so attentive and helpful. Thank you, Creekside team.
Good food and good service. I like the open air seating. It does tend to get a little noisy. Some patrons get a little too boisterous, so don't think you are going to have a quiet meal. However, the time of day or evening does influence the noise level.
We held a celebration of a dear friend's life here yesterday. The staff at Creekside could not have been more awesome. Wonderful food, terrific service. We reserved a spot for our group, Dave arranged the menu for us, Maddie & crew had everything in place, our server Kellan was right there to take care of us. We didn't have to do anything but celebrate our friend. I highly recommend Creekside for any gathering.
just wanted to tell everyone how much we appreciated and were blown away with how great everything creekside provided for us this recently for a lunch we catered prior to our sons baptism for about 20 adults and kids! The food was sooo good and presentation was perfect, the lower deck for us worked out better than we could have wanted with our group and kids. And Shawna, our server, was an absolute gem! She was so kind and friendly. Her service didn't skip a beat! We can't recommend having a group here highly enough!
It was a chill spot if you are looking for a low key place to hang out at and drink. Not crowded at all. The bartenders are good looking as well so that's a plus. They have games there for people to play. It is also family friendly. They serve food and do parties as well. The location is also not populated as much as lower state street.
LOVE going here with the family!! With fun , updates food choices, as well as some old favorites, everyone finds something they love to eat here. AND, hubby loves that he can watch the screens overhead when a game's on. It's another hidden gem in our community that's been redone in recent years, and everyone needs to try it, and then tell a friend.
Went with a youth soccer team. Had a blast! They Qr codes they have a GREAT and make ordering and paying in a group setting super easy. Definitely recommend Creekside if you are in the area (locals already know about this hidden gem).
Since their remodel/revamp of the place their food has become increasingly better, drinks are stiff but delicious, atmosphere is laid back, casual and very family friendly. This is slowly becoming our new favorite spot on the weekends to gather with our toddlers, our friends and our family
Overall very good! This is my second time here and I must give them five stars for consistency “albeit consistently strange but nonetheless consistent”! Creekside is the answer to a question that nobody ever asked.... The food is great and I highly recommend the fried chicken sandwich! They have a great attention to detail with the flavors and the bread is really top notch and helps send it over the top! Now the strange part, looking around at the decor and hearing the music and then looking at the patrons I am just confused! However I found it very entertaining to say the least! Hearing Clint Black followed by the Beastie Boys while watching hipster d-bags get lit on a weekday afternoon and loudly profess their unwavering allegiance to their political party of choice is always a fun time!
Food here is so good, I ate twice in one week. They have a nice patio with a few games on the lower floor and play live music. It was awesome .. my 🐕 liked it as well. I prefer the chicken breast for him!
Creekside is a cross between a sports bar and an outdoor restaurant. It is surprisingly child and family friendly both in cuisine and setup with a lower area that caters well to families with kids. TV can be noisy in upper part, but its easy to find a suitable place for dinner. Food is enhanced smoked meats, sides are particularly good. Ribs and tri tip are standout, but burger is excellent.
Awesome new spot in town. They've got some really fun drinks and a lots of choices on the menu. I'm always a fan of spicy tequila drinks and they've got an interesting one that's spicy and a little sweet (can't remember the name). The food is great, sort of a cross between southern comfort and southwestern. We sat outside and I really enjoyed the atmosphere, and the service was really friendly. It wasn't very crowded when we came but it looked like it would be a lot of fun for dancing and games when the place fills in at night.
Great spot for after-work drinks. Outside space is super comfortable and convenient for groups. The menu and bar list is extensive, something for everyone. Particularly loved the bloody Mary with all the toppings, including the MOST delicious bacon. Seriously, what is on that bacon?? It's sweet and spicy and sticky and just amazing. I was a bit surprised to learn it is family friendly (kids allowed) but this did not take away from my experience. Will be back!
Good food, nice and clean outdoor eating, relaxing atmosphere. We stopped in for dinner here because it was close to our hotel. Service is quick and friendly. I had the nachos with tri-tip, delicious. My husband had the baby back ribs and fries. I had some of his fries and they were good, fried crispy and yummy. He said the ribs and bbq sauce were good but a tad bit on the dry side. When asked about the food he mentioned that, but he said he did like them and ate them all up. The friendly staff apologized and offered him a gift card, my husband said that wasn’t necessary because he did enjoy the meal. They insisted on giving him the gift card, which shows they take pride in the food they serve. Drinks were good too. Would definitely come back again.
My daughter and I hosted a bridal shower on Sunday, January 12, 2020. The venue was perfect as well as the food! The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Everyone at the shower had a wonderful experience. Most important was that the guest of honor was delighted with the whole experience. Thank you Dave and staff for making this day a memorable one! Victoria P.
Great local spot for BBQ and beer (wine & cocktails also available). The smoked tri-tip, chicken & ribs are delicious. We went on a Friday night and found a lively atmosphere and attentive service. Looking forward to going back soon.
I highly recommend The Creekside for private events! We rented the whole restaurant for a wedding and it was perfect! Our guests enjoyed the delicious options at the buffet. All of the staff were very attentive and ensured that the wedding party and guests had an amazing time. Dave was easy to work with leading up to the wedding. Behnom was amazing to work with the day of the wedding. He was like my personal assistant ensuring that I was happy with the behind the scenes operations while still being in the moment and enjoying the night with family and friends. I must also note that the renovation at this venue is beautiful and it provided a stunning setting for my Mothers rustic wedding. The parking was not as big of a problem as predicted. It all went very smooth. I highly recommend that you consider this venue for a private event or for a casual bite to eat, you wont be disappointed!
We love the Creekside. It has the perfect family friendly local atmosphere. The food all tastes great and we specifically love the chimichurri fries. We recently had a family party there and the staff was incredibly attentive. The patio space was fun and a great gathering spot. Highly recommend to get together with friends, meet up for dinner, have a beer and watch the game or the host a big gathering. Fun family friendly atmosphere.
Delicious food, friendly staff and stiff drinks. A bit pricey, but worth it. $15+ entrees and $10 for a vodka soda. Great outdoor atmosphere and big tvs for sports viewing. Very kid friendly as it has a large kid area with toys and a good kids menu.
Awesome service and great food. We had a wedding reception there after the ceremony at the courthouse. The service was awesome and very accommodating because we didn't have a specific timeline on food, champagne toast, first dance and cake cutting. The servers and bartenders all were flexible and were there to follow through with any and all requests that we had.
We hosted 60 people for my husbands 40th birthday and had a blast! The staff were professional and VERY helpful and accommodating. The event manager Dave was awesome and made it EASY for us to plan- he's very responsive and just a super cool guy to work with!! The food drinks were fantastic as usual. Looking forward to our next celebration here soon. CHEERS to this amazing staff. If you're planning on hosting an event here, don't forget to generously TIP the staff, they deserve it:)
What a great place for lunch! I had their signature burger, cooked perfectly to order (med. rare) & my friend had their nachos, wow! So great & super crispy fries. Large outside dining with a couple of booths under cover. Nice decor & excellent service. I'll definitely be back!
We were driving through the area and stopped for lunch. Incredible service and absolutely delicious food! It’s such a comfortable feeling there with the friendliest smiles from all the staff! We brought our toddler and he loved it. Next time we’re driving though, we’ll definitely make the stop again!
This is a great place. It's just where hollister begins kind of near the u-haul across from java station. This is a great place to come to to watch sporting events or just grab dinner. I usually get their nachos which are really good and the plate is huge. I've also had the tri-tip which is also excellent. They have all kinds of things on the menu that everyone will like. It's a little out of the way since I live downtown. If it was closer, I would totally go more.
Since the redo, it is much better. People who go here really love the place. There is dancing and good food and the only real complaint about the place is parking. When they redid it, they made a lot of good choices for upgrades and they have some cool old school Santa Barbara stuff tied into it, that really only make sense to those of us who have lived here long enough. But totally worth your time to go in.
This place was the best! We had our wedding here and let me tell you when stuff hit the fan they had our back! Dave was super chill and very helpful! They set our wedding up fantastically and were very accommodating. The staff was attentive and helpful, bar was great, food was great I have no complaints! Highly recommend for anyone wanting a reasonable price and a great venue. Creekside is the way to go! Thanks guys!
We had the best time for my son's bday! The staff was helpful, always available, very accommidating and fun. The food was great and abundant. We did speakers for music, next time I would do a DJ because the music was a bit more quiet that maybe you'd want at a party but still fun and you could chat. Tables were great. Everyone was super comfortable under the canopies with the heaters. Love it and highly recommend for special occasions!
Came with a group of 70. Great service leading up the event, fair pricing, and very good communication throughout. Event space was perfect for the large group (we had 90 in the space at one point), food was good, seating was spacious. Easiest large-group restaurant our org has been to in years.
We had a group of 30 and Creekside hosted our event. The food was great, the service was wonderful, and the staff was very accommodating. Dave was quick to respond to my emails and making the reservation was a breeze. Everyone raved about the food. Great place for large parties. We will definitely come again!
After a day at Haskell’s Beach, the Creekside Restaurant and Bar was the perfect place to end our evening! Joe and Katie were the perfect hosts! We had a delicious dinner of Macaroni and cheese, candied bacon, burnt ends, chicken, and the most flavorful buttermilk coleslaw! Visiting from Denver we found this a delightful respite from our travels. We venture out to Santa Barbara yearly and have never happened upon this restaurant. What a great find and we will be back!
I really like this place! The outdoor patio is super nice and I love their tacos. Their chips and salsa were really good, and the vibes are really nice. The waiters kept asking if we needed anything and how everything was going. We will definitely be coming back :)
This was a great location for Sunday football. The staff was so friendly and even made me a virgin Bloody Mary and a “snickity snack” plate when I said my favorite thing back when I could drink was bloody mary’s with a mixed plate of snacks. We stayed for HOURS eating and drinking. My virgin bloody mary was soooo good that I bet it would be even better with alcohol.
Creekside came through big time when our outdoor wedding got rainy. With short notice they accommodated our every need. They provided excellent service with a smile and genuine care.
While visiting friends in Santa Barbara they took me to this amazing restaurant and bar. I got a short history lesson on it from the newest owner Dave. Apparently the bar has been in existence for quite a long time and now after an amazing remodel it's now a family friendly bar restaurant with both indoor and outdoor seating. It includes plenty of room for small parties. Nighttime entertainment can be enjoyed here weekly. Staff was friendly and helpful. Drinks were delicious and I noticed quite a large array of wines and imported and exported beers. As for the food I chose the creek burger in substitute of the beef for chicken which was delicious. My friends has the French dip and the hickory smoked wings all from a easy to read menu. As with all of my past reviews I will only review a place that I would highly recommend this restaurant definitely fits in that category of a five-star recommendation from this traveler.
I just visited The Creekside Restaurant on Saturday June 19, 2021. This place is very nice and the staff is very friendly 😊😀. It's a great place to take your family 👪and friends and have a great time. It's a down to earth place. The food 😋is good and the price is good as well. You can dress casual.
It's a real nice cute restaurant. Very inviting, the food was great went with the nachos my girlfriend had the burger, and both were excellent. Great service, and it's a Bar, what more could you ask for.
My husband & I had our wedding reception at the Creekside, Mother's Day weekend. From the planning phases to the end of the night, we were given fantastic service and they went above and beyond to make our reception fun! We had a great buffet of brisket, smoked chicken, and all the awesome sides. The bacon brussel sprouts are AWESOME! They accommodated a pretty large group of about 75 people on their bottom patio, allowing my fantastic family to decorate the place into a rustic chic Pinterest addict's dream. They also made having kids at the reception so easy & fun, with kids menus and games. The atmosphere was fantastic, with the patrons congratulating us when we came, to allowing us a perfect dance space for our DJ to spin some tunes, as well as our mariachi group to perform. The rates were fantastic for Santa Barbara, and the quality of food exceeded the standard chicken or beef reception dinner. Everyone loved the fun bbq aspect as well. All in all, we love the Creekside! Thank you to Dave & staff for a great place, with delicious food for our event! Get the tri tip nachos & the candied bacon! They are AMAZING!
Really good pulled pork and pulled chicken sandwiches. Fries were great, nice and crispy outside, and fluffy inside. Also a nice salad, and corn on the cob as well.
For me I don't usually like fries a whole bunch usually too greasy or something else but here they were all good crunchy on the outside fluffy inside and good ranch with them. Tri tip so tasty. I'm comin back for sure. Shout out to waitress Shawna - thank you for being so sweet and an awesome server!

I highly recommend this fabulous hidden jewel in the SB/Goleta area. It’s been under new management in recent months and the changes are obviously 5 Star! The margaritas are the best in Santa Barbara ! The staff is super friendly and helpful in ordering and the food comes out not only piping hot and fast but delicious. I’m so happy an upgraded hip place to go for dining and entertainment is back in town.
Generous portions of delicious food. Friendly, helpful staff, plenty of spacious outdoor seating, with effective outdoor heaters for chilly times. Prices were reasonable too - my friend ordered a huge steak quesadilla, and I ordered very generous Greek salad with mounds of goat cheese, candied pistachios, and smoked beets. Each was well under $20, and we left feeling very well fed.

You would miss this place if you didn't know to look for it. I went for a private party, and this was a perfect venue. There are some stairs to get to the lowest outside patio, but most areas are on one level. The patio area is large on two levels, then the is a smaller outside patio in the front. The inside bar area is smaller. My one complaint is there are 3 individual restrooms, which seems a bit too few with the amount of guests, but they were clean. The food for our party was all Mexican food, but as a regular customer, I'm not sure what they have. The appetizers were very flavorful : quesidaillas, fried cauliflower, corn salad. The cauliflower was my table's favorite. Dinner was make your own street tacos with 3 types of meet and and a vegiterian tofu with, I think , and asada sauce, plus everything you need to go with it. This is a great place for a party. People in the area also say the parking lot is always full.
Nicely remodeled inside and out! There are plenty of tables and space and a few games to keeps the kiddos occupied. The service is fast enough and always friendly, they make an effort to come check on people. We shared the nachos with chicken....delicious.
A nice little surprise. Food is fresh, delicious and even though they were busy, the service was pretty good - especially for our large party. Waiter happily split the bill for us. Nice outside seating.
Great space, if you want to watch the game and eat rely rich breakfast come here. I personally did not love breakfast because there were too many flavors to be able to taste any one of them well. Their standard Benedict has maple syrup that overwhelmed the hollandaise. Each part was well made though.
We had a banquet there in their private room with the patio. The food was fabulous and they were extremely easy to work with. The package that we had for our group size of 35 was VERY reasonable. Our service was great, food was hot and really tasty! I would highly recommend Creekside for a small private event! We only had problems with parking....
Their outside patio dining is wonderful. Large portions, reasonably priced, decent food and adequate draft beer selections. Of special note is the fried chicken sandwich; about half my crew order that every time we go. Fast, competent and friendly service. Recommended!
Going in thought it was going to be more of a nice dining experience but found it to be more of a fast food place with good barbecue style food. like a Carl's Jr. but better seemed to be a very young family oriented place a whole lot of little kids in one area and a blend of outdoor sports bar feel with T.V's going. everything is outdoors shade is where the premium seating is desired so bring a hat if your stuck in the sun. Buss service is excellent
The transformation of the Creekside From a seedy bar to a family restaurant was needed. Don’t get me wrong I loved going to hear live music outside on dirt. Ordering fried foods from the kitchen window. It was unique. Now they’ve made lots of that outdoor area into dining space. Nice. Canopy overhead. Lower part of the place is set up with games for kids. That used to be the smoking area I think. I think the menu is good - different salads, like all the appetizers and could graze my way through a light meal with them. Try the Brussel sprouts dish... even if you don’t like sprouts, this dish could change your mind. My only critique - I’d prefer less big, loud TVs. They’re everywhere, yikes. I have hearing aids and having a conversation can be a challenge. Maybe they could create a part of the place where it’s more quiet? Tucked up next to a creek, there’s lots of vegetation which I’ve always liked. Give it a try.
Traveling - Shared a meat combo, lg house salad; added mac n cheese. Couldn't finish it all but ate the ribs and chicken. All good. Surprise - Mac was the best dish! Root beer excellent! Not a fan of hard stools or chairs on my olde butt, or plastic and throw away glasses and dishes and only want French dressing - not an option there.
I'm very new to going out to have dinner and watch "the game"! This place has drawn me back 2x now, dined alone once, met new folks, plenty of large TVs for viewing, love the large picnic table, family and friends atmosphere. Reminds he of Copenhagen Sausage Garden, very large, welcoming outdoor d ining for large and smaller groups. Nicely accommodates kids and dogs,! Very friendly staff. Provides plenty of outdoor heaters. I feel at home there and highly recommend the beet, goat cheese salad and the salad with pistachios, both unique flavorful and you can add your lean chic breast or Tri-tip, yum! And ladies, if you want to relax and not be " picked up" this is a good hang out! I will be going again real soon
Update 1/17/26: Although the chicken burrito is now $22, food quality is excellent and they've returned to table service. Still a great atmosphere, and a better overall experience. Great place to watch a game. Update 1/29/23: Unfortunately our $18 chicken burrito with corn, bell pepper, onion, and guacamole had virtually no chicken and zero corn, bell pepper, or onion. They made us a new one but that was 15 minutes later and our friends had already finished. The house salad with nothing but junk lettuce left a lot to be desired too. We've had good food here before but today was not one of those days. At least the French fries were good. Sometimes they get in too much of a rush, but we'll be back again. Cool hangout, plenty of comfortable outdoor dining, never too busy, good beer selection, food is pricey but good. Easy parking. Very relaxing and a good place to watch sports.
Our friends took us there and it was a very enjoyable experience. Very casual and laid-back. We ate outside on the patio which is very large. We were all hungry and when our food arrived, we dove in and I didn't get pics. My hubby and I shared a small Napa Apple Salad which was not that small and very good. Our friends ordered the BBQ Ribs with Grilled Corn on the Cob, Baked Beans, Coleslaw and a Dinner Roll. My husband and I ordered and shared the Grilled Salmon with Lemon Herb Sauce, Coleslaw, Baked Beans, French Fries and a Dinner Roll. All of our foods were well prepared, served hot and made our taste buds very happy. The only negative was the bartender. One of our friends ordered a margarita and it was small, full of ice and weak. He took it back to get it remade with smaller amount of ice and the bartender would not accommodate him. Said he'd been bartending for 23 years and he made a good margarita, definitely full of himself and isn't the customer always right? My friend had me taste it and I had to agree with him, it was not good😖 The overall experience was good other than the drink issue.👍👍👍👍
Had my high school reunion here, twice. The service was very good. The area was thoughtfully set up, and there was plenty of room to mingle and munch a little. The drinks are very strong. The food is really tasty! They had redecorated in between the reunion events, the new restaurant is pretty and large.

Well, let me start by saying the Creekside restaurant is not by the creek. I mean it’s near the creek, but you can’t see it or hear it or know it’s there. The atmosphere was tired to be kind. The food was OK and so was the service.
Changed my review. Dropped from 4 to 3 stars because by now I would've thought they'd have table service by now. Going back to the bar to order another anything leads to standing in line while you're food gets cold. Add to the mix where 3 people are looking for a happy hour where we all are paying their own bill just made us think we'll keep looking for the right place for a to go on Friday afternoons.
Trendy yet casual BBQ restaurant with large outside seating options. The food is pretty good, but not amazing. The portions are large and the prices are very good. Parking is not very easy as the lot is small and the restaurant is busy during the evenings. Very kid friendly.
It was expensive for what it was. I had the brisket and it seemed like it was boiled and not smoked. Tasted smoke but texture was off. Lighting is bright and not every welcoming. Had an old fashioned that just seemed to be bourbon with an orange peel. Service was good though.
It's not bbq, whatever the menu says. Food is reasonable, though pretty expensive ($17 for a food service fried chicken breast ). Nice outdoor patio but all all the TVs and country music brings the atmosphere down quite a bit. Could be great, but it's mostly just OK.
More like a diner than a restaurant. So I get the efforts to make things work with Covid… and we’ve had some really good experiences with the Covid changes - not so much here. So, first, food was really good - pulled pork sandwich and crispy chicken sandwich/ great fried! Cocktails were ok/good… but the service - or lack there of, one star. Total experience of being my own server. 2-3 tables here the whole time we were here - yet no one even made the slightest effort to see if we are ok. I knew I was on my own when I walked to the bar asked for two glasses of water and was handed 3 plastic cups and a pitcher of water. Bartender was chatting with another employee the entire time and when I went to check out and only gave a 10% tip, I got side eye… I was thinking I deserved a discount for being my owner server, but different perspectives, I suppose. (The kid who dropped our food did ask if we needed anything else - you know how you know what you need literally 1 second after you’ve looked at your meal? So, I get his effort, but can I have a minute??) Just know what you’re getting into when you “dine” here.
This place is a victim of its own success: I've been there four times now and it was a madhouse every time, absolutely mobbed by people with frequent waits for tables and so much noise from the music and the crowd that it was hard to carry a conversation. If you need a family-friendly watering hole with decent prices and tasty but basic food, Creekside is for you. If you're looking for something quiet or refined, if you seek craft cocktails or artful food -- go elsewhere!
Food is okay. I liked it better when there was country night on Wednesdays. They cut it after the pandemic and considering their whole theme is country, I don't understand why they wouldn't lean into their own schtick. Not really a good money move considering
Stand in line to place your order. Much like big name fast foods with an upmarket price. Delivered to the table reasonably fast . Bit too spicy for my taste. I like to taste the meal I ordered, not what the cook pulled from their spice rack to cover it up. Not bad but not in any hurry to return. A mediocre exsperiance at best
A friend mentioned the food was good here... Maybe I came on an off night? ... Gross frozen fries, ribs were tough like beef jerky, chicken undercooked, not sure how you ruin a French dip... Very mid food. Won't be going back. Threw the food away, an expensive mistake.
Had the tri tip sandwich. Meat was great. Bread was too dry and crumbly. Huge amount of frys. Great patio space. Dog friendly is a huge plus. Prices a bit high for what you get. Didn't mind ordering through the QR code. Still good decent service.
If I were still in the south their barbecue would be aight (that's "all right" for you yankees), but since we are in Santa Barbara they have no competition. Chicken and ribs are meaty, cooked well, and have a subtle but tasty sauce. Fries are perfectly seasoned, their slaw is OK. The BBQ beans are an A+ and rate among the best I've had. Bacon and jalapeño... so good. Their burnt ends, the chicken, and the ribs are all delicious but could use more sauce. Burgers aren't bad. Basically, the food gets a sold four stars. Creekside is popular and noisy. TVs are on the walls playing sports, but nobody pays attention. There's a good chance children will be running around and an even better chance someone at a nearby table has had a few too many drinks and can't control their volume. Atmosphere, three and a half stars. The staff does a good job. They are kept busy running around and are all polite. They earn a four. Maybe a three and three quarters. Can I give a B-minus? So why the three stars? Management. A sign on the door says seat yourself, and then the next sign says please wait to be seated. You get seated, look at a menu, try to remember your table number, and then go back up front to place your order. Someone brings your drinks and has to ask who ordered what. Someone brings your food and has to ask who ordered what. Someone else comes by and makes sure we have everything we need. Someone else... I think you get the idea. The wait staff is getting stiffed out of better tips by their system. This isn't fast food, so I don't like having to go place my own order. Especially at the prices they charge, which is the next demerit. They ain't cheap. Not outrageous for the area, and not out of line for a good barbecue joint. But the prices aren't acceptable if I have to go place my own order. Not if the signage is confusing. Not if kids are running past my table screaming or we can't hear ourselves talk over the drunks across the room. I know things have gotten complicated since the arrival of the apocalypse, but they shouldn't have gotten that complicated. Straighten out the signage, let the staff do their jobs, and we may be back up to 4+ stars.

New owners we were told. I’ve been here many times and had the tri tip plate. It’s always been good. Decided to try the new club sandwich, and told the server I’d let him know what I thought. On our way out I told him they should take it off the menu. One layer had a single layer of lettuce, one slice of bacon(entire sandwich ‘might’ have had 2 pieces of bacon, based on how it was cut)a slice of turkey and a slice of tomato that was maybe 1/8 inch thick, and a sliver of onion . The other layer had a slice of turkey, only. A very dry and disappointing sandwich. Advertised as with fries and pickle. No pickle given. My friend had the tri tip. Served with a roll, but when she asked for butter, it wasn’t brought until asked for again. Open booth tables have been changed to smaller, crowded booths. Music was okay, but asked for it to be lowered, so we could hear our conversation. (We were some of the only people on the patio) To the new owners: please be aware that you can’t raise the prices, and lower the quality of food and service. Patio booths no longer feel open. We come there almost monthly. If my friend didn’t care about going there, I’d take it out of our rotation.

Lowsy Service. Was there for a party and ordered my food ( Fish Hamburger)..... Half hour later was told they were out of Fish? How could that be? Just plain LOWSY SERVICE. Usually a Manager would come tell us but the poor waiter had to break it to us which wasn't fair to the waiter. I was also appalled that a Manager didn't come over to apologize. It wasn't only my meal they screwed up on. It happened to others in our party.. They didn't seem to care.
We are not fans of the Creekside. it was the first and last time we will go there. The mac and cheese seemed like it was straight from a box, the tri tip was way to smokey, but the ribs were good.We asked about drinks but our waitress didnt know anything about them. I realize this place is a local favorite, but we dont know why. I must say that the staff was really friendly, and the one older bus boy was really working hard, and running his but off.
My daughter's soccer club held an event here. The place itself was OK, but I want to say something about the food. I ordered a burger and was pleased to see that it matched my specifications (no mayo etc.). However, on biting into it I discovered that had not been cooked properly. Rare, or more like raw, on the inside. I did not eat it as I was concerned it was not safe.
Nothing to write home about. Pricey for what you get. Dry quesadilla albiet decent size, no toppings, just dry tortillas with cheese. Couldn't even get it down, asked for salsa. Brought 1 tablespoon and charged $3 extra. Ridiculous. And charged us twice. Would never return. Plus we ate outside on patio with group and the traffic noise was deafening. Will never return. Save your $, go somewhere else. Quality and pricing was unacceptable. There are much better places elsewhere. Would rate 1 as low, out of 5 stars. With tax and tip was nearly $40 per person. No beverages, just the dry tortilla with some cheese inside. Not even hot. Ugh!
Overpriced, small portions. Calamari was 18 bucks and was tiny. Food is decent, but not worth the price. Was better before it changed. If you've got money to spend, then this place is for you.

The food is poor quality (literally gross) and overpriced. When a private party is held at the establishment the quality of food served diminishes and expect kids outside of your party to be disrupting your private event. The police watches this establishment closely due to the drinking and patrons leaving heavily intoxicated. I would give The Creekside Restaurant zero stars if it was an option.
The creekside is a nice big bar to have drinks or watch a game. The food is expensive and not very good. I had the baby backs and there was a lot of meat but the bbq sauce needs some work. The beans were tasty and the fries were fried nicely. The coleslaw tastes like plastic has a bad after taste. I won't be back for the food. I would give it 5 stars for being a bar and a 1 star for being a restaurant
I had hopes for this place. My family and I went for me and my sister's birthday. It was loud. Our waiter got us drinks, it was fine, then went over to the bar and kind of forgot about us. We got a second waiter to take our food. Waited 30 minutes for our food. Pork ribs were dry, burger was overdone, philly cheese steak was to rich. Only thing that was okay was the steak. We spent 90 dollars here, we weren't too happy about that. And there were no birthday specials. We were all disappointed. Sorry guys.
Not a fan of the newly renovated Creekside Bar. I have been here 3 times for certain events and haven't been impressed. I honestly like the way it was before. This place is under new ownership and has a weird mixture of outside bbq/upscale restaurant theme. The biggest thing I don't like is people are allowed to bring their dogs (big or small) into the restaurant. I'm not a huge dog lover to begin with but its not very relaxing when you're trying to eat dinner and enjoy your time when dogs are barking or fighting around you or coming up to you sniffing at your table. I should probably be more annoyed with the dog owners and their lack of responsibility. I choose not to go back.
We just left this place. Very disappointed. I ordered a chicken sandwich, specifically said no onion rings and the girl taking the order confirmed that it came with french fries. The plate came full of onion rings and no french fries. I explained the gentleman that came to the table and he never came back to fix the order. The grilled chicken breast on the sandwich did not look appealing and the bread had so much BBQ sauce that it was soggy.
Stopped in for drink with 2 friends after work. Arrived at 8:30. They were closing down and made us feel very unwelcome. Bartender was extremely rude. Did not leave tip but extra charge was added to my credit card after we left! Never going back.
I came here expecting some good food and a good time but was sadly disappointed. The man managing the front bar was so rude. I walked in to order and waited in one of the two lines they had available. Customers were at both registers. Upon stepping up to the counter, no one helped me. Yet worst the employee yelled at me to move because he was “setting up the bar” and told me to go get in line (at the other register). I wanted to leave at this point but was with a large group of people and wasn’t able. I tried the Philly Cheesesteak and fries which were lack luster and cold upon arrival. I’ll never come back.
Trapped in Their Bathroom for Over an Hour – No Help, No Apology, No Human Decency If I could give zero stars, I would. My experience at Creekside in Santa Barbara was not just unacceptable—it was traumatizing. I was locked inside their bathroom for over an hour, and the way the staff and co-owner handled it was utterly disgraceful. I suffer from anxiety and was having a full-blown panic attack while trapped. My family pleaded with staff to take action and explained what was happening. The bartender’s only attempt to help? He tried to open the stuck deadbolt with a butter knife. That was the extent of their emergency response. Even worse, the co-owner stood by with her arms crossed, watching the situation unfold with zero urgency. When my family told her I was panicking and needed immediate help, her response was: “She’s fine.” Let that sink in. My family had to physically kick down the bathroom door to get me out. No one from the restaurant called the fire department. No locksmith. No apology. No concern. Just indifference. This wasn’t just bad service—it was a complete failure of basic human decency. Do not support this place. They showed a total disregard for customer safety and well-being, and the lack of empathy from ownership was beyond disturbing.
Walking in and first impression was good. Ordered some beers, got seated, chatted, ordered food... food came out faster than expected... ordered my Tri-tips medium rare... got them rare, okay, no biggie. No, next came getting rushed out the door. Nothing worse than getting rushed, but they just kept coming back to the table to take things and very vocal about last orders and closing... so I gave up eating and let them take everything. It felt like they were kicking us out for something, but I digress. I 100% DO NOT, do not, recommend this place. It's not a good feeling. Will never return.
I have given this place 4 chances to win my business and they failed every time. They don't care about their food, their service or their customers. My last visit I saw them clearing a neighbor tables food although they were still open. The customers were wondering what was going and the waiter said they were closing. Of course that's because the restaurant didn't inform anyone that they changed their hours online. We ended up not really ordering any food because of that. I never liked their food but all my acquaintances insisted on coming here. It's an absolute no for me from now on.
We don’t leave reviews for good restaurants because their reputation speaks for itself…. We used to love this place, but now under new ownership and the food is disgraceful. I’d rather have McDonald’s and that’s not an exaggeration. And we paid $120 for an overcooked chicken sandwich, a small cheeseburger with microwaved bacon and American cheese (when my wife asked for cheddar instead of pepper jack), 2 cocktails and one appetizer of rubbery popcorn chicken. Service was actually good and the fries were good, but we don’t want to pay $120 for french fries and friendly service. Will not be returning.
