Very nice traditional Thai food with friendly staff and also good atmosphere of Santa Babara sunlight
Thought we'd give it a try and we're glad we did! Ordered the cucumber salad which was fresh and not too sweet. We also ordered the steamed dumplings which were tender and flavorful. Our entrees we're the yellow curry and mixed vegetables. The. curry was light with white meat chicken. Full of flavors and not oily at all. The mixed vegetables were fresh in a light garlic sauce. Our server was the only one in the restaurant, and she managed to serve everyone with a smile and still do take out orders and bus tables. Everything we ate was fresh and light. Definitely adding it to the list!
This was the best Thai food I've had. The duck curry was perfectly tender and not too sweet or oily. The Tom Kha soup with mushrooms was creamy but light and with just the right amount of tang to it. The mango sticky rice took it over the top. I'll be back often. The server and cook were very gracious as well. You won't be disappointed.
Really good Thai food in the city! Recommend everyone who passes by try it. The Thai Basil, Curry Duck, Pad Talay, and Tom Kha are so delicious that we all enjoy them. Great staff and service.
We had a great dinner here. The food was fresh and tasty ! We had the Pad Thai and pineapple rice and they were great. Stellar service from Sarinna. If you like Thai food you will enjoy this place !
Love the food. Everything we got is good. FYI: just get the normal curry instead of mango one
Thai basil with ground chicken and fried egg is very good here. Can eat here every week.
Wonderful meal! My favorite is the Yellow Curry. We tried a few firsts for us, Spicy Eggplant with ground pork, very good. Khao Soi Noodle soup, they hit that out of the park. Pictured is the Khao Soi.
This place is really cute, we were here on New Year’s Eve and the atmosphere here was really cool. We ordered pineapple fried rice and Panang curry
It is such a nice and cozy place to have lunch/dinner with your partner, friends, or family. They provide very tasty, authentic Thai food. The pad Thai literally brings e back to the one I was in Thailand. One hidden gem is definitely the tapioca in coconut milk with sweet corn and water chestnut in it. The light and refresh sweetness of corn and water chestnuts coordinates with the natural salty flavor of coconut milk just well. Definitely will order again.
Visiting from out of town. Loved the food (yellow curry, panang curry, pad Thai) at Thai Bistro, Santa Barbara. The food was very tasty, dishes were good portions, and the veggies were fresh and crunchy. Service was exceptional.
Food was absolutely delicious, so much flavor. My server, Justin was fantastic and kept my water refilled. 10/10!!

Thai Bistro has the best Pad See Eww in town! I love Pad See Eww. I always get the same order: beef and with no Bean Sprouts at every Thai restaurant I go to. This was my first time there today and by far they have the best one I’ve ever had. The noodles are super thick. I hate when I order Pad See Eww and the noodles are all broken. Not here, the noodles are perfectly cooked!
I’ve been here 4 times now, (about to go a 5th!) And the amount of food you get for the price, not to mention how GOOD it all is. I’ve got a different meal each time, and they’ve all been Phenomenal! It’s usually really sparse and I’ve no idea why. I don’t often go out of my way to write reviews, but this place is incredible!
This nice and unassuming little spot in upper State Street makes awesome Thai food! I’ve been here several times and ordered online as well - never disappoints. I’ve had so many different items on the menu, too many to list them separately, but I have never had a dish that wasn’t absolutely delicious. Helpings are generous, and if you’re dining in, service is welcoming and friendly.

Environment: The restaurant needs a better ventilation system. You come in for food and get out as a smoky bbq. And there is little to no Thai vibe. Service: service is fine around average level. I do not have a complaint. Food: Tom Kha soup is good. The stir fried glass good is recommended. the basil fried rice is average. The Pad kee maw is too soggy and lacks of aroma from cooking in high temperature, very disappointing. I think it is a okay Thai food stop but do not give too high expectation.

I love the food here, however there is one guy who works at the front counter who wears a hat who is SO rude that I get uncomfortable coming here now. My friend and I come here quite a lot and whenever he works at the front counter he always gives us a snarky comment, never checks with the kitchen staff on anything, and has a serious attitude. honestly makes my time here not worth it. Maybe because we are younger he thinks we wont tip but when the other chill guy with a beard works at the front counter we always tip over 20 percent. He makes my experience here almost not worth it and he does not understand hospitality at ALL. Hopefully he gets moved down.
I ordered through Door Dash. The food was fresh and hot, that’s where my praise ends. I got Pad Thai. It had no peanuts, no cilantro or scrambled egg. The chicken was so dry it was almost inedible. I won’t be ordering from here again.
The flavors at this Thai restaurant were a bit overwhelming for me. The spices were quite strong and sharp, and a few dishes had noticeable salt that hadn’t fully dissolved, which affected the overall taste. The service was average, though the staff were generally courteous, so I appreciated that. Overall, the experience wasn’t terrible, but the food didn’t quite meet my expectations.
I ordered Tom Yum soup and paid an extra $4 for shrimp protein, making it $18 total. The soup came with only 5 small shrimp, a few pieces of white mushrooms, and a little scallion. The portion was very small and absolutely not worth the price. I also ordered beef with broccoli and rice. The beef was extremely dry and tough, almost impossible to chew, and the rice was overcooked and mushy. Because the food quality was disappointing, I left a 10% tip. The owner immediately showed an unhappy attitude and walked away, which made the whole experience very uncomfortable. Overall, the food is overpriced with small portions, poor quality, and unfriendly service. I won’t be coming back.

I honestly have never left a review in my life lol. I grew up in SB and on thai food, and realized I’ve never tried this place out. Ordered online. We were really disappointed with the quality. My husbands pad see ew was so bland :( and my Tom yum soup tasted like a lemongrass water soup. Idk if it’s just cz we’re used to other places but the quality was just not up to standard. Maybe for someone who has never had Thai food I can see this being a restaurant to help ease them into it. The rice was perfectly cooked. I’m hope they add some more flavor to their dishes.
