Really well prepared good food. The brioche bun was delicious. The scrambled eggs in my sandwich were perfect. The the coffee was easily good as well.

Ordered ahead on a Sunday morning and the food was ready fairly quickly. Food was hot and the sandwich itself was very tasty. It’s a little pricey but I think it’s worth it, especially because the chicken is so big. Lots of good flavor and will definitely be back to try their other breakfast sandwiches.

Love this place! The food is awesome, the staff are friendly, the space is clean and hot plenty of seats. My personal favorite item is the Chic Sando with scrambled egg. Highly recommend for people who love the combination of egg plus warm brioche bread! Hope to see another location in the peninsula in the future!

Definitely recommend anything with bacon on it. I ordered to go and the first thing I noticed was the bacony aroma coming from the bag. I don't claim to have a keen sense of smell but the smell alone made me want to dig in as soon as I got to my car. The experience here reminded me of waking up in the morning to the smell of someone cooking you breakfast. Solid experience all around. Also the matcha drinks are solid.

Egghead Sando Cafe is a hidden gem nestled in the heart of Santa Clara. As a frequent DoorDash orderer, I was immediately struck by this cafe's commitment to fresh ingredients on my first order. The buns, in particular, are a standout feature - fluffy, slightly sweet, and able to hold up perfectly under the weight of the sandwich fillings. It wasn't until my first in-person visit to their Dt San Jose location (that I previously reviewed) that I fully appreciated the cafe's commitment to quality; I saw their ovens and get this, they bake their buns fresh every morning! Plus, the upbeat music and friendly, smiling staff created a lively and enjoyable atmosphere. The food, as always, was top-notch. My go-to order is the scrumptious Scramble, but my wife swears by the Chic, a delectable brunch/lunch dish, and the Eggy. I’ve treated myself to the best breakfast places I can find and I’ve never had something like the Eggy where you dip bread into a breakfast concoction; just try it, it’s so unique and creative! One of the highlights of the meal are the Tator Tots, they are crispy, fluffy and perfectly seasoned (and reminds me of my favorite part of school-lunches back in elementary school!). If you're in the mood for a delicious breakfast or brunch, I highly recommend checking out Egghead Sando Cafe.

I like their Brown Sugar Hojicha Latte (both cold and hot), BEC and Chic sandwich. Their food is always consistent in taste. I can count on having the great taste that I'm expecting at every visit.

The chic & egg sandwich is yummy! Love their scrambled eggs salad too. Wish they have more tables outside.

Everything was sooo good. Very cute breakfast spot to eat at. The BEC, was bigger than I expected. Definitely coming back.

Omg how do I start… I ordered breakfast burger and my husband got the chic. Both are 10/10 from all aspects. The combination of the ingredients absolutely works and kudos to the guys in the kitchen making them as well. The egg is cooked and seasoned to perfection, the beef patty is cooked to a bit crispy on the outside that is just soooooo good. The fried chicken is also seasoned very well, crispy on the outside and tender in the inside. Wow… thank you thank you. A very chill little corner restaurant that just has a very relaxed vibe. But you know the crew definitely mean business that they make things so perfect. One little note is that restroom can be a little more clean.

To my surprise, they were open on 1/1 and ready to serve! Our family had The Chic, Side Chic, and waffle fries. It was busy, but our order was perfect and the huge chicken sandwiches were great. I ordered my egg well done and it was cooked to perfection. 👌

Tried Egghead for the first time to get an early lunch. Got there just a little before noon which was the perfect time as there was no line until after we got our food. The establishment is fresh looking and was clean, basic atmosphere. The service was friendly and helpful. Server explained the menu and answered my newbie questions. I ended up getting the Eggy, minus the bacon. It was very good and even though it seemed little, it left me satisfied. I also had an iced latte with oat milk that hit the spot. A few days later I had breakfast delivered and got The Scramble Sandwich. The brioche bun was buttery and delicious. The egg scramble with the spicy mayo was a perfect balance. All in all, I am glad my husband introduced me to this place. Will definitely be back.

The Chic sandwich was decent--super generous with the portion size, the chicken patty was huge--but it was a bit dry overall, where the bottom bun was toasted a bit much and became crumbly instead of soft, and the chicken was crispy but not juicy. The dirty rose coffee and the strawberry matcha latte were good though. The vibe of the cafe was also very cute!

Went to Egghead for lunch on a weekday. The place had a decent amount of people and plenty of people picking up for take out. I ordered the Chic, it’s a chicken sandwich with egg, arugula, spicy mayo. The chicken itself was huge! It was coming out of the front and back of the sandwich, wrapped in a parchment paper. The chicken was so fresh, crispy, and perfect seasoned. It was a Taiwanese style chicken and it was perfect on the taste mark. The brioche was sweet, the sauce was good but I added sriacha from the counter. The egg was perfect and gooey. There’s also free water and a restroom. I would come here again for a delicious chicken sandwich.

Stopped by Egghead Sando Cafe for a Saturday morning breakfast and was pleasantly surprised! left full and happy :). As a vegetarian, I was a little bummed that there was only one meatless option (the Scramble) but luckily, it delivered. The eggs were perfectly cooked and paired well with the slightly sweet brioche bun. Super satisfying. The tater tots were amazing!! Crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, salty, they were seriously addictive. I also tried the rose latte, which was paired well with the food, not too sweet. Ordering is done through a kiosk, so there's not much interaction with staff. Indoor seating is spacious and comfy, but outdoor tables are limited. I went right at opening on a Saturday and had no problem parking, though the lot is pretty small. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and overall it's a solid breakfast spot

I randomly found this place when looking for a breakfast spot nearby. Boy was this a fantastic find! I saw the pictures online and thought the sandwiches would be small, but I was wrong. The sandwiches are HUGE. I could barely even finish mine! Not only are they huge, but these were some of the best sandwiches my partner and I have ever had. I had The Chic - the chicken tasted like taiwanese popcorn chicken, but just one large giant piece. It was seasoned just like it as well. The other ingredients were top quality, and that house special sauce was the perfect compliment to the chicken. My partner had the breakfast burger. It tasted just as good, but we both agreed the Chic was the better of the two. I also had the Iced Cafe Latte as well, which surprisingly tasted really well. I was admitted apprehensive since it looked like this place was very sandwich focused, but their coffee was up to par with their sandwiches. The only thing I will say is that it took quite a bit of time to get our food. However, we did come as they opened so that might have been a factor. However the workers were nice, and the food was definitely worth the wait! You can't go wrong with this place!

A great breakfast spot to grab some amazing egg sandwiches. I tried their famous Chic Sandwich and it was worth every buck. The Fried chicken piece is huge, juicy and moist and seasoned well, with the gooey egg, greens and brioche bun, this will fill up your appetite. Do give this place a try!!

I almost skipped this place because it had a 3.8/5 rating as of February 2026, but I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was and how quickly it was ready. I went at 10 am on a Saturday, and it was relatively busy inside and out. The place was clean and lively. I went to the pickup window, and they handed me my food. I was in and out in less than a minute. I could see the dining experience being just ok. It's nice looking inside, but the dining tables are basic, and it's noisy. Also, parking is scarce in Rivermark, so you might need to walk a bit.

Tamara Kleiman

We visited with our dog and had no issue sitting outside. Just mind the bees, there's quite a few of them. The inside decor was very healthy like and trendy while the outside seating had nice tables with shade. I ordered "The Scramble" and it was ok, a little too wet for my taste. I also tried the Matcha Coffee Latte, a 10/10. It has a subtle taste of coffee while not being too earthy.

I've came to Egghead Sando a few times but I recall it was slightly better in the past. But it is still a solid 4 stars because it's rare to have popcorn chicken styled sandwich nearby that taste pretty good.

A

Tried this place for the first time today. I got the scrambled and the ultimate sando. Both were great. Eggs were lightly scrambled but I prefer a more well done scrambled egg. Still the sandwiches had great flavor. Ingredients were fresh. The brioche bread is amazing. Buttery and light. Most sandwiches have caramelized onions and I gotta say these are TWO caramelized onions and not just sautéed like a lot of restaurants do. You gotta stop by and check it out. It’s pricey so if you’re willing to pay $13 for a sandwich, this is your place. If I lived closer I would for sure be a regular at this joint. 7/10 stars

M

The egg brioche sando was super tasty. The soft scrambled egg, mayo, chives on a soft, toasted, slightly sweet brioche was a perfect combo. Also added sliced tomato for freshness. Would recommend. I just wish it was opened later into the evening!

Sandwich was awesome. Definitely would come back for that, but it took forever for my chicken sando. Every customer after me got their food before me. I was number 7 and they were calling up to number 14 already. I had to get up and ask what the hold up was a few times.

Got the side chic sandwich and sunburst. The sandwich was a really good spicy breakfast sandwich but the drink threw me off. The carrot and apples in sunburst didn't mix well for me, I'll try another the next time I go.

Per my wife, the sandwiches were good but the drink was so so. I liked the sandwiches, too. I liked the bacon one more than the spam one. The tots are like any other tots; good but probably no better or worse than frozen ones from Safeway. Haha.

Man, I've been hitting this place up for ages, can't believe I haven't reviewed it yet. I always go for the eggy without bacon and a side of those awesome tater tots. Ordering on their kiosk is super easy, and they call your number pretty quick when your food's up. There's not a ton of seating inside, but usually lots of spots outside. Plus, parking in the plaza is never an issue

Let’s start by saying, one of best egg sandwiches I’ve ever had. The eggs are perfectly scrambled and fluffy! The bread was soft and the spicy mayo is delicious. But the service is absolutely terrible. Please order ahead before getting here. I waited about 25 mins but watched how fast the line got backed up. You ll interact with a screen, not a person FYI. Overall, terrific sandwiches but awful service.

Food: The Chic and Side chic are the 2 strongly recommend! The Chic has a Taiwanese style fried chicken piece while Side Chic is grilled chicken, very flavorful and the portion is mouthful! Service: the staff is very kind and warm to help us when the order kiosk is used, and also provided member information. Ambiance: indoor seating is nice and outdoor seating is comfortable as well.

Pro Tips: -Get chili powder on the waffle fries. -Add cheese and avocado to The Scramble. -Seating is limited inside, take it to go if the weather is not suitable for outdoor seating. The scrambled eggs are done perfectly! Bursting with eggy flavor, excellent consistency, and doesn’t let the rest of the sandwich get soggy. For the best essence of egg, get the Scramble. Adding cheese and avocado is highly recommended! The brioche bun is super fluffy and crispy. The portions are modest and great for a balanced meals, none of that overly greasy oversized patty melt stuff. Strawberry matcha is on point and executed perfectly. All of the elements do their part well and are well balanced. The Chic is a great fried chicken sandwhich, but the eggs take a back seat to the overwhelming fried flavor from the chicken and breading. The Eggy does great on all technical elements, but it’s not quite worth the 10$.

Interesting, unique takes on the humble egg sandwich. I just think it's overpriced for the simplicity of the place and the quality of the food (overcooked, dry meats) being served.

H

A higher rating would have been so much easier if only a bit more care given to the packaging and experience. At almost $11 for a breakfast sandwich can expect that. It disintegrates and sloppy while having. Taste is good but quite a bit of that is inherit in the buttery goodness of a brioche bun. Some vegetables would be good as well to add.

M
Max Iashin

The sandwich I had was ok, a bit dry, could use some nice sauce I guess. The service was slow. The staff wasn’t rude, but the guy at the counter wasn’t exactly friendly. We got our order put on the counter , but there were no drinks. And the guy has already disappeared in the back, after waiting for couple of minutes they return, I ask for my drink, he is somewhat annoyed and says something like they are busy and drinks will be later. And my sandwich was too dry to eat with no drink, so I had to wait even more.

The bun was a bit dry but the scrambled egg was yummy. However I'm not sure the quality justifies the price increase. Egg Sando for around $13 including tax

I wasn’t sure about this spot. Everything looks very pretty in pictures, but the ratings were mixed. After trying Egghead, I kinda get it. The sandwich was decent, but it wasn’t even warm enough to melt the cheese they put on it, and it cost A LOT for how much food you get. The strawberry matcha was a better value, though. The restaurant itself is kinda strange. You basically don’t see the staff. They are hidden off somewhere in a room in the back, prepping orders. They occasionally pop out to call out an order. It kinda makes for a strange dining experience. I’m not really sure I’d go back. I don’t think the experience and quality quite justifies the price.

Stopped in for a quick lunch and grabbed a burger from the kiosk. Plenty of places to sit, and it's nice and bright inside. The burger was just alright though – the bun was kinda dry, and I wasn't really feeling the veggies they used (no idea what they were). The patty wasn't too dry at least. Overall, it was okay, nothing to write home about.

This place is not worth it. Food is okay a bit over priced. Coffee was not worth it at all I got a iced coffee and it was water with pigment. 2 sandwiches, 1 box of tater tots, and 2 coffees was 48 before tip. The service was the best part of this place, super nice, super polite, and they had an upbeat attitude.

PROS: * Good vegetarian options. CONS: * $20 for an egg sandwich and small coffee. * Egg sandwich is bland and nothing special. * I wanted to dine in, but the bathrooms were out of order so I had to leave. * Egg sandwich was dry. * They ask for a tip, then charge you a service fee on top of that. I'm confused. NOTES: I'm not sure how long this place is going to last. It's nothing special or unique, and you're paying top dollar. McDonald's is almost the same for much less.

I placed an order through DoorDash this morning. I have never tried this place before but wanted to try something new. I got The Ultimate Sando and a Matcha Latte. The sandwich was okay, nothing crazy but good in general. I appreciated the portion size. The problem I encountered with this place was that they made my drink order incorrect. I wanted a regular Matcha Latte but got a Strawberry Matcha Latte instead. I do not like strawberry in my matcha because it’s too sweet. They also didn’t provide me with a straw. I am quite upset and disappointed with my first experience. Although, I doubt I will return as a customer, I hope y’all do please do better in the future for anyone else who is thinking of ordering here. Update on the next day: They refunded my total for the drink so I gave them one extra star for their service. Thank you.

The reason I added a star because the cashier tried to be helpful. First, the latte was cold, the chicken in The Chic is HUGE and made of thigh meat full of fat (see picture). Needs salt and there'sno salt packets. The tables were unclean and sticky. Not recommended

Honestly, I want to like this place since it's so close to me and I love breakfast sandwiches, however, the lack of human interaction is displeasing. The moment you walk in you are greeted by an iPad. No "welcome in" or "good morning". From what I could see there were only two people sitting and waiting for an order. I'm not sure what mobile orders they had but from the first impression it did not feel warm and inviting. I had accidentally grabbed the wrong order which I then returned. I apologized to the employee for grabbing the wrong order, They then grabbed the bag, looked inside then called out that orders number. No eye contact no "that's okay". It just feel rude. A note for the owner would be to train the employees on what customer service is. This restaurant made me decide that I will no longer be tipping if I am not greeted and if there isn't a person to take my order. I would not have tipped after this interaction.

Wow, this place has really gone downhill since it first opened. I placed an online order for pickup because, based on past experiences, I already knew it takes far too long for someone to help at the register. When I arrived at 2:20pm, I went straight to the pick up counter. Two employees in the back clearly saw me but chose not to acknowledge me. Instead, the female employee asked her coworker what I was waiting for right in front of me rather than simply asking me directly. She eventually came over, handed me my order, and walked away without a single “thank you” or “have a good day.” Truly disappointing customer service. As for the food, I usually order the breakfast burger with tater tots. This time, the bun was dry as if it had been sitting out, the patty was overcooked, and the tots tasted stale. The only decent part of the meal was the egg, but I ended up discarding most of the food. I know who the owner is, but I haven’t seen him around in a while. Honestly, he needs to be more involved with this location because both the food quality and the customer service have seriously declined.

Quality has gone down significantly since we started ordering from here 5 years ago. Eggs are overcooked, bread is burnt practically every time and chicken is also overcooked and dry. Management is unreachable over the phone and unresponsive via email. After calling when submitting requesting a runny egg was still not enough. This is the 10th time this happened so we will be taking our business elsewhere.

I used to eat here all the time. During a recent visit, my scrambled egg sandwich seemed like it was made with chalky artificial eggs. It tasted like a bad cafeteria sandwich! I used to recommend this place all the time. Sadly, not anymore.

There is no service here. Make sure you go to the counter to check on your order because they will not be tell you your food is ready. I came in early to get my online order. The male employee checked and said they are working on it. I sat down and waited 20 min. Went up to to counter made eye contact with the rep and she just ignored me. I had to say excuse me for her to acknowledge me. And my food has been done the whole entire time. Everything is self serve. Even checking on when your food is ready. It's not a cheep spot too with sandwiches averaging $14. I'm fine with self serve locations, but if you are going to do this, have a system in place to inform guest their food is ready. My online order status showed "in progress" and never changed on my phone. The employees are clearly just focused on making the food. The quality of the food is there, you just need to work out a better system where guests can check on their order without having to rely on the employees (who again are only focused on making food and nothing else). Perhaps a monitor that's shows ready/in progress orders. Good overall - 4/5 stars Service - 0/5 stars since

Terrible coffee and stale bread. I really wanted to like this place, but unfortunately the quality of the food and service has been consistently poor. Not sure why they don’t replace it with a nicer breakfast spot like iJava. (Last visit was today (12/20/2025 @11:07am)

Extremely awful taste. Not really edible. Ordered The Chic sandwich. The meat is totally dried out with tough shell, makes my bites hurt. Flavor is very spicy and was not warned about it. Veggies inside the sandwich are not fresh . I can not describe how bad this sandwich taste like...

Freakin terrible. Got the scramble sandwich. Gave me stale bread and sweaty cheese, egg tasted like they were made for a holiday inn continental breakfast. I could make better eggs blindfolded while hung upside down. Counter girl was nice at least. All in all 👎🏾👎🏾
