Opinions de Men-Bei Ramen Santa Clara
Perfect little spot for genuine ramen. Creamy vegan broth was bowl to mouth good. Avoid the lunch crowd from 12 noon to perhaps 1 pm. They close between 2:30 pm to 5 pm. There was nobody when I came in at 11:30 am but everybody started trickling in right at noon. The place was starting to get packed just as I remember it being crowded years ago when I last visited.
This is our second time here, but I think it’s safe to say that this place does not disappoint! The portions are generous, especially the GIANT omelet rice. The yakisoba was so delicious and their ramen (not pictured) is flavorful and yummy! The service is great and my toddler even loved dining in!
I got the house ramen and it was fantastic. Just the right spice. I got there about 20 mins before closing for afternoon lunch time. Service was friendly and fast and though I finished a few minutes after they closed they did not make me feel rushed. Thank you for such a great meal!
Solid 5/5 ramen shop in san jose. Tried the spicy men-bei ramen (house speciality) and it was just too good. Soup is delicious and the noodles weren’t too thin or thick. Def coming here again. It’s right next to the costco.
Mei-ben ramen is perfectly garlicky yet not too heavy. Noodles were cooked perfectly. Great for a cold day! Staff is kind and prices are reasonable. Perfect for lunch at the bar or dinner takeout.
The Omurice here will put you into a heavenly food coma. The portion is enough for 2 meals!
This is the first time to dine in the restaurant. We ordered 3 items to share: a huge Omelette Rice, a curry rice and a ramen. Omelette rice was delicious, beef curry soup was different from others as it had only beef, no others. Ramen was also good. Good service, too. *We went there the second time and ordered different items. The beef fried rice was so delicious. We also ordered a different ramen and of course, a huge Omelette rice. Wonderful!
Take away the trend and take away the frills that are present in many of the modern ramen restaurants. This restaurant represents the fundamentals of what makes a great Ramen shop. My family had three different soup basis -- Shio, shoyu, and the house. All were pretty tasty. The fried rice was just as good as the soup! Go for the combo you won't regret it. We'll be back when we're in the area.
Foods are delicious. Omelet eggs fried rice is pretty good.. Ramen add spicy make it even more delicious.:) Parking is good. Linh’s recommended 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

It's a nice out of the way, ramen place. I have eaten here twice and I enjoyed the food each time. If you plan on going, get there early when it opens because it fills up fast! Parking is also limited because of its location. Traffic getting into the parking lot can be a problem at times because it is located very close to Costco. 5 stars for the cost of the food and portion size. Enjoy! Service can be slow, when only 1 waitress.

This was where I ate dinner before watching a San Jose Earthquakes soccer game. It was a great, cozy place that feels like a locally owned spot. Awesome customer service.
Great Ramen and rice. The rice portion was huge. I believe 2 people can share the rice and maybe they are not able to finish it. Price is good too. We will come back for sure.
We got here on a Sunday afternoon. We got here and ordered the Spicy men-bei ramen and the combination with Spicy miso ramen and half fried rice. The rice was amazing~~ really generous portions. Even though we ordered half an order of fried rice, it was big enough to share for 2 people. The service can be improved a bit since it took a while for them to come and get our order. The place is a bit small and it is Japanese owned, so you will be getting the legit stuff. The ramen was good, but i feel the rice was even better. It is great it is close to our house. We will try the chicken karage next time.
Been here twice. Very easy access from San Jose Airport so a great place to grab a quick bite after landing. I've had one of the ramens and also the curry rice and both were great. Just be careful of the hordes getting to/from Costco as it's next door!
Ramen was decent here; I’m not usually a fan of ramen from finding it bland. SO ordered omurice and it was HUGE.
Small spot with good service and food. Always get the men bei spicy ramen and fried rice. Both are so good, you'll love it. Great place for lunch but get there early, it fills up.
Lots of ramen places locally and this is one of them. To be blunt it's ok, it's not bad but it's definitely not something that I'd say is above average too. Broth is ok, pork is fine, it's basically ok. Gyoza was nice though. Pricing wise it's a tad high too but it's not too out of line.

Ramen actually wasn't very good. Broth was not rich nor tasty and vegetables were overcooked. Shouldn't be any lettuce. Presentation was nice. Service was friendly. House special Men-bei ramen was ok. Chashu pork was too fatty. Actually, the best was the nicely seasoned fried ramen wish was a generous portion. Combo $15.95
Overall, thought the ramen broth lacked a bit of rich flavour that I expect from ramen. It’s a healthier and lighter option if you are looking for that

The waitress was distant and indifferent 😐 and they suggested that for us to replace beef in yakisoba with tofu we have to pay $3 for the tofu like seriously?
